Championnat NASCAR 358 Modifiés à l’Autodrome St-Eustache

Championnat NASCAR 358 Modifiés à
l'Autodrome St-Eustache

DRAG RACING NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS TO SHOWCASE CANADA’S STRAIGHT-LINE CHAMPS AT MOTORAMA

DRAG RACING NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS TO SHOWCASE CANADA'S STRAIGHT-LINE CHAMPS AT MOTORAMA

Awards Ceremony Takes Place Friday, March 13 at Toronto's International Centre

TORONTO, ON // FEBRUARY 3, 2015 • The very best of the Canadian drag racing fraternity will be recognized for their 2014 accomplishments at the Drag Racing Night of Champions, held as part of the Friday night (March 13) celebrations at the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo.

The Motorama show runs March 13, 14, & 15 in the reconfigured Halls 1 and 2 of Toronto's International Centre, located adjacent to Pearson International Airport.

This will be the second annual Drag Racing Night of Champions; its debut at the 2014 Canadian Motorsports Expo drew rave reviews from the drivers, promoters and sponsors.

"The Drag Racing Night of Champions is a season highlight for the racers. To have their successes featured in front of their racing peers is a special moment for any driver," stated Andrew Stirk, Race Director for the DSE Automotive Sportsman Series. "From the business side, the Night of Champions is a great avenue to build awareness and to showcase the sport of drag racing. Any exposure, especially at a high profile event such as theMotorama show, can only have a positive effect."

Stirk estimates that upwards of 50 class champions from a dozen drag racing associations and racetracks will be honoured at the Night of Champions. Each attendee will be interviewed on the Johnsonville Stage before being presented with a personalized award. Hosting duties for the second annual event will (tentatively) be shared between respected drag racing announcers Larry Satchell and Bill Richards, with the awards courtesy of DSE (David Stirk Enterprises) Automotive.

Concluded Stirk, "Any race, in whatever discipline, is tough to win. And winning a championship is even tougher. I'm very thankful that we'll have the chance to recognize the achievements of the champions at the Motorama show. Many of the drivers have already received awards at their own galas, in front of their own dedicated fans. Now we have the opportunity to showcase their efforts to an entirely new audience."

Year-end track or series champions can register to be part of the Drag Racing Night of Champions presentations by clicking on the DRNOC event logo at www.MotoramaShow.com. Once registered, they are eligible to take part in the awards presentations and receive a 'swag bag' of sport-related items. It will also make them eligible for random prize draws at the end of the event.

Prior to the DRNOC presentations, at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night, a drag racing panel – featuring several of the country's top racers, promoters and builders – will be live on the Johnsonville Stage at Motorama for a one-hour discussion about the upcoming season and other drag racing-related issues. Information about the event schedule, sponsorship opportunities, this year's celebrity presenter and additional DRNOC details will be posted on the website as details are confirmed.

Tate Fogleman Partners With Woodman Racing For Run At PASS Titles

Tate Fogleman Partners With Woodman Racing For Run At PASS Titles

-      For Immediate Release

CHARLOTTE, NC (February 3) – Jay Fogleman Racing will partner with Woodman Racing to field the #8 Ford entry for Tate Fogleman.  The new team will chase both the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) National Championship and PASS South Super Late Model titles in 2015.  Woodman Racing's Dicky Woodman will maintain the machine out of his China Grove, NC shops and will serve as crew chief on race day for the third generation racer.

The new partnership will serve as a reunion of sorts between the two teams.  In 2013, Jay Fogleman drove primarily for Woodman Racing en route to both the PASS National Championship and PASS South Super Late Model title.

"We're really looking forward to it," said Jay Fogleman.  "It will take a lot of pressure off me while I pursue other business opportunities not having to maintain the cars in my shop.  Dicky and my family have become great friends and I feel like this is the best way we can focus on Tate and continue to develop his racing career."

Tate Fogleman is coming off one of the best seasons of his young career.  In just his second season in a PASS South Super Late Model, Tate continued to show the promise he developed during a successful PASS Pro Late Model career.  The younger Fogleman scored his best career finish, a strong third place effort at Southern National Motorsports Park in July, and finished third in the PASS National Championship standings.  Woodman sees many of the same traits in Tate that took his father to victory lane so many times over the course of long his long career.

"They both know how to win, they both have good drive ability, but it's hard to compare their styles because they come from such different racing backgrounds," says Woodman.  "We tested for the first time last weekend and I would take Tate anywhere right now.  He was as good on lap 100 as he was on lap 4.  It's a little more than a racing deal, it's more like family."

The 2015 season will begin on Saturday, March 7 with the 10th Annual South Carolina Clash at Dillon Motor Speedway with rotating practice starting at Noon, followed by qualifying at 3:30 PM, and feature racing at 5 PM for the PASS South Super Late Models, PASS Pro Late Models, Chargers, and Legends.  Please go toProAllStarsSeries.com for entry forms and the complete weekend schedule.

The Pro All Stars Series is recognized as North America's premier sanctioning body for asphalt Super Late Models and boasts such marquee events as the legendary Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway and PASS South's Easter Bunny 150 at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway.  For technical information concerning all PASS divisions please send questions topassracing@roadrunner.com.  For media or marketing questions, please contact Alan Dietz at 704-231-2039 or alandietzpass@live.com.  And, don't forget to "Like" the Pro All Stars Series on Facebook or follow us on Twitter @PASSSLM14 to keep up with breaking news as it happens.
