OSCAAR Modifieds and Hot Rods Check-in at Peterborough Speedway

A pair of the province's top touring divisions will be part of this weekend's Saturday night excitement at Peterborough Speedway.
With their only Central Ontario regular season start of the 2024 schedule, OSCAAR Modified and Hot Rod teams will join the home track Bone Stock, Mini Stock and Renegade Truck classes. Grandstand gates open at 4:00, with the first Great Canadian RV green flag at 6:00. Kid's Rides will be the intermission attraction and everyone can also enjoy a free pre-race corn roast.
Heading into the Saturday, August 3rd date, TJ Edwards is leading the Modified field standings by a 17-point margin over Jason Keen. Steve Trendell, Wally Wilson and David Mathers round-out the top-5 in the overall rankings. More than 25 different drivers have scored points in the OSCAAR Modified pack this year.
In the Hot Rod running order, close to 40 racers have taken a green flag in this year's dates. Tyler Hawn is at the top of the heap and holds a 15-point cushion over Rob Bromley. Steve Book, Kenny McNicol Jr. and Steve McCaw hold-down the top-5 spots in the OSCAAR Hot Rod line-up.
Coming-up Saturday, August 10th the home track Mini Stocks will run a 50-lap feature event. Also on the line-up will be the Renegade Truck and Junior Late Model divisions, along with the OMRS Modifieds and a pair of features for the Ontario Legend Car Series.

The vintage look of the OSCAAR Hot Rods has been a favourite with Central Ontario fans since the group's inception. The tour visits Peterborough Speedway Saturday, August 3rd.
