NASCAR to Expand In-Car Camera Live Streams on Twitter in 2018

Beginning This Summer, Fans to 'Ride Along' with One Driver Via @NASCAR for

15 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Races

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 14, 2018) – NASCAR® announced today it will live-stream one in-car camera on Twitter for 15 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races during the second half of the 2018 racing season, including all 10 NASCAR Playoffs races.

Beginning with five regular season races this summer, the experience will once again provide fans a unique look from inside the race car with a live camera stream that can be accessed via NASCAR's official Twitter handle, @NASCAR.

Fans can watch full broadcasts of these regular season and NASCAR Playoffs races on NBC or NBCSN, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app (full schedule here).

NASCAR debuted the in-car camera live stream on Twitter during last year's NASCAR Playoffs, when four Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series championship contenders drove the live audience on Twitter from the green flag all the way to Victory Lane.

"We've created an experience that brings Twitter users inside the cars at speeds of more than 200 miles per hour," said Jill Gregory, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, NASCAR. "The live stream is yet another window into our sport that captures all the drama and intensity of NASCAR racing – now available to fans for even more races in 2018."

Fans on Twitter will experience an in-car camera live stream from the iconic Daytona International Speedway for the first time during the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on July 7.

NASCAR will also stream an in-car camera on Twitter during regular season races at the road course at Watkins Glen International (Aug. 5), the night race at Bristol Motor Speedway (Aug. 18), the sport's annual throwback event at Darlington Raceway (Sept. 2) and the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Sept. 9).

This live stream will be accessible for free for logged-in and logged-out users in the United States via NASCAR's official Twitter handle and connected devices. Real-time race highlights will also be available on @NASCAR, offering fans additional ways to follow the playoffs at home or on the go.

On the same screen of this live stream, fans will find a real-time curated timeline of Tweets that capture the best of the NASCAR race live conversation.

"We are thrilled that NASCAR will make its in-car cameras available on Twitter in 2018," said Laura Froelich, Global Head of Sports Partnerships at Twitter. "NASCAR fans will once again be able to access these unique in-car cameras at the same speed as the real-time conversation – all in one place on Twitter."

Last fall, 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Champion™ Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and Brad Keselowski each scored race wins as the featured driver in the NASCAR Playoffs live stream, crossing the finish line and taking the checkered flag with viewers on Twitter in tow.

NASCAR.com will continue to offer its full portfolio of complementary viewing products throughout the 2018 season. In-car camera angles will also be available on NASCAR Drive™ and NASCAR Mobile™.

Brad Martin Wings his Way Into the 2018 OSCAAR Hot Rod Series

Brad Martin Wings his Way Into the 2018 OSCAAR Hot Rod Series

By Jim Clarke, Clarke Motorsports Communications/First Draft Media

He was one of the most successful Mini Stock racers in the field over the final seasons of weekly racing at Kawartha Speedway and logged some solid efforts in a full season with the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series and ran a few Late Model events at Kawartha and a made a pair of Sportsman Cup starts in 2014. Other than making his first and only Thunder Car start at Peterborough Speedway just a couple of years ago, the 2018 campaign will see Brad Martin return to the short-track wars with the OSCAAR Hot Rod Series.

Originally from Plainville, the 31-year-old – who currently resides in Baltimore, Ontario with his wife Melissa and his stepdaughter Taylor – is looking forward to getting back on the track. His family-owned race team put their talents together to craft a unique creation, reminiscent of the winged Superbird Mopar machines made famous on the NASCAR circuit by Petty Enterprises in 1970. A long-time Dodge supporter, the driver says putting the car together was an easy decision.

"My family has been Dodge fans since before I was born," said Brad Martin, while talking with fans at the recent Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports Expo in Toronto. "The Mini Stock I ran during my seasons at Kawartha was a Neon. My Sportsman Cup Series ride began its life as an Avenger, but we upgraded the bodywork to a Challenger for the second season."

OSCAAR's Hot Rod Series has a flexible rules package that encourages racers to explore their creative side and think outside the box. With several different tracks on the schedule – including a return to the familiar confines of Kawartha Speedway Friday, June 1st and Friday, July 13th– Brad Martin says that his team – consisting of the driver himself, along with his father Chuck, his brother Craig, Mike Nelson and Mike Clohecy – wanted a car that would stand out from the crowd and judging by the comments they received recently at the car show, the potent piece they've crafted did exactly that.

"It should be a lot of fun and I'm really looking forward to it," Brad Martin said, who works part-time for the family business and has a full-time job with a local home builder, working on houses around the Cobourg area. "It'll be great to see some old friends around the race track again and exciting to get to places where I've never raced before. There is an event at Brighton Speedway on the schedule and running on a dirt track for the first time will be a brand-new experience. Things get underway with the Saturday, April 28th season opener at Sunset Speedway, so we'll unload and hope for the best as our team kicks off this exciting chapter in my racing career."

For the 2018 season, Brad Martin's OSCAAR Hot Rod schedule is proudly supported by Xtreme Motorsports, Bio 2000 Pressure Wash, J.J. Stewart Chrysler and Fisher Construction. Potential marketing partners interested in joining the team can contact bradmotorsports53@gmail.com.

After an absence of a couple of years, Brad Martin will return to the short-track racing wars, campaigning his #53 Dodge on the OSCAAR Hot Rod Series during the 2018 season.

PASS South To Headline “MegaShow” At Caraway On Sunday

PASS South To Headline "MegaShow" At Caraway On Sunday

-For Immediate Release

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 14) – After being delayed a week due to weather, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Models will return to action Sunday afternoon at Caraway Speedway.  The RGS Products 125 will pair two of the regions premier touring divisions as the PASS South Super Late Models will be joined by the season opening event for the Southern Modified Racing Series (SMRS) Tour Modifieds.  With the last weekend's cancellation, officials from PASS and Caraway Speedway decided to take this already huge weekend of racing up another notch by also including the 602 Super Limiteds, 602 Modifieds, and Limited Late Models to create a huge day of short track action on Sunday

Over the last two seasons, Kannapolis, NC's Matt Craig has been one of the most dominant short track drivers in the country.  In addition to becoming the first ever competitor to ever capture two PASS South championships, he has won the last two races at Caraway Speedway, including in 2016 when he came back from being two laps down.

"I've done good at Caraway, ever since my first Legends car race there, I like it a lot," says Craig, driver of the C&C Boilers Sales & Service Chevrolet #54.  "It has hard breaking and long straightaways.  I have to thank my team for the cars they bring me to the track.  I'm not sure what it is at Caraway, but we always seem to have speed there."

Craig will have his work cut out for him to make it three in-a-row at Caraway on Sunday, with a field packed full of talented rookies including "Mad" Max McLaughlin, Gracie Trotter, and Blaise Robertson.  Fellow rookies Greg Burgess and Charles Barnes have also filed entries.  Not to mention veterans like Brandon Setzer, Tate Fogleman, Roy Hayes, Kevin Floars, JP Josiasse, Kodie Conner, Jimmy Doyle, and Ryan Moore, all hoping not only to keep Craig out of victory lane at Caraway, but also to stop him from capturing a third straight PASS South championship.

"Another championship would be unbelievable and hopefully we can get it done this year," says Craig.  "It sounds like there are going to be a lot of competitive cars chasing us this year."

All the action gets under way on Saturday at Caraway Speedway with optional practice for all competing divisions from 12 – 6 PM.  On Sunday, practice will begin at Noon, with qualifying starting at 1:40 PM for the PASS South Super Late Models and SMRS Tour Modifieds, followed by main events starting at approximately 2:30 PM.

PASS Super Late Model entry forms for the events at Caraway, Hickory, Thompson, Oxford Plains, Beech Ridge, and the 45th Annual Oxford 250 can be found at ProAllStarsSeries.com.

RGS Products, based in Union City, PA, is a full service, architectural metals and glass fabrication and contracting company with over 30 years combined experience in the industry. RGS Products provides state of the art, cad, engineering, fabrication, and installation services, necessary to provide the customer with a single source to assist in managing products, saving time and money.

The Pro All Stars Series is recognized as North America's premier sanctioning body for asphalt Super Late Models and boasts such marquee events as the Easter Bunny 150, the legendary Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway, and in 2018, the inaugural Commonwealth Classic at Richmond Raceway.  For media or marketing questions, please contact Alan Dietz at 704-231-2039 or alandietzpass@live.com.  Please visit ProAllStarsSeries.com for more information and don't forget to "Like" the Pro All Stars Series on Facebook or follow us on Twitter at @PASSSLM14 to keep up with breaking news as it happens.

Anheuser-Busch's Busch Beer Becomes 'Official Beer of NASCAR,'

Fastest Qualifier to Earn Busch Pole Award

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 14, 2018) – NASCAR and Anheuser-Busch announced today a multi-year agreement that welcomes the global brand back as an Official Partner and designates Busch Beer as the "Official Beer of NASCAR®." The new partnership builds upon Busch's industry-wide presence and includes sponsorship of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series™ Busch Pole Award, rewarding the driver with the fastest qualifying time each week.

"We are continuing to evolve our presence in NASCAR because we believe in the power and loyalty of NASCAR fans," said Chelsea Phillips, Vice President, Value and Beyond Beer brands, Anheuser-Busch. "Returning as the Official Beer of NASCAR strengthens our deep-rooted history in the sport and will provide fans with even more opportunities to enjoy a crisp, cold Busch beer on race day."

Anheuser-Busch's history in NASCAR dates back decades to 1978, when it sponsored the Busch Pole Award. Additionally, Busch was the "Official Beer of NASCAR" from 1988 through 1997. Beginning in 1998, Anheuser-Busch sponsored the Bud Pole Award through its Budweiser brand, which also became the "Official Beer of NASCAR" through 2007.

"Anheuser-Busch has a storied history in NASCAR dating back to the 1970s and we know our fans will celebrate and support Busch's return as the 'Official Beer of NASCAR.'"

In 2007, Jimmie Johnson won the last Anheuser-Busch sponsored Pole Award (Bud Pole Award) at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the same race he won his second championship.

Competitors can become eligible for the Busch Pole Award beginning this weekend at Auto Club Speedway. At the end of the season, drivers who accumulate the most Busch Pole Awards in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series are awarded the season-ending Busch Pole Award.

As part of the partnership, Anheuser-Busch joins the NASCAR Fuel for Business Council®, bringing together an exclusive group of more than 50 NASCAR Official Partners to buy and sell products and services from one another.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season continues at Auto Club Speedway with the Auto Club 400 on Sunday, March 18 at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
