Pier-Luc Labbé aspire au titre de champion 

 

À voir l'évolution du #25 Pier-Luc Labbé depuis son arrivée avec la série en 2010, on se doutait que la saison 2015 allait en être une de succès pour le pilote de Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce. Et ce fut effectivement le cas. 

 

En 2015, Labbé sera monté sur le podium à 4 reprises en 10 programmes remportant sa première victoire avec la Série Sportsman Qc Lucas Oil le 29 août 2015. Il termine la saison au 3e rang au classement général en ayant remporté 7 tops 5 lors des 10 courses. 

 

Ayant été en nomination pour la plus belle voiture de l'année et le meilleur esprit sportif, il est reparti du banquet des champions avec le prix le plus prestigieux soit l'Ambassadeur Best Buy. Son implication auprès de la série en tant que des représentants des pilotes depuis maintenant 4 ans ainsi que sa participation à promouvoir la série par sa présence auprès des pilotes de la relève lui auront valu ce prix. 

 

Pier-Luc Labbé avait 14 ans quand il a débuté sur terre battue sur la piste de Vallée-Jonction avant qu'elle ne soit asphaltée. Par la suite, il fait l'acquisition d'une voiture Sport Compact où il évoluera jusqu'en 2009. Pendant ces années, il se démarque par l'obtention de plusieurs podiums et la victoire de la Triple couronne Best Buy en 2008. En plus de la piste de l'Autodrome Chaudière, il visite les pistes de Ste-Croix et de Saint-Félicien. De plus, il monteles marches du podium lors d'un programme en Pro Stock àSte-Croix. 

 

Ceux qui auront suivi son évolution auront pu constater que les deux dernières saisons nous aurons montré ce pilote sous un œil différent; plus mature et beaucoup plus calme. Questionné à savoir ce qui avait amené cette différence, Pier-Luc Labbé explique qu'il a appris à se mettre moins de pression et à voir les courses une à une. Pier-Luc n'a pas « la grosse » équipe; mais il travaille avec toute sa passion, son cœur et y met tout son temps. Ayant acquis sa voiture construite par son ami Michael Lavoie en 2013, il se l'est appropriée en faisant le reste du montage, la mécanique et la géométrie de suspension. Son travail acharné et l'expertise qu'il a développée quant à la préparation de sa voiture sur les différents tracés ont assurément été un facteur important de sa réussite. 

Il tient à remercier ces commanditaires qui sont auprès de lui, et ce depuis son arrivée avec la Série Sportsman Québec; Société Louis Jacques, Groupe Isolofoam, Garage Louis Labbé et plusieurs autres qui s'impliquent depuis quelques années. 

 

Surveillez bien le #25 Pier-Luc Labbé; l'année 2016 pourrait bien être l'année Labbé !

Big Month Of April On Tap For PASS Super Late Model Stars

 

NAPLES, ME (March 30) – Following a successful start to the season, which has seen the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) average over 30 Super Late Models through the first three events of the year, the best short trackers in America are now preparing for a big month of April.  

With three southern races under their belts, PASS is set to embark on the start of the north season, kicking off on April 9-10with the Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway in Connecticut.  In addition to being the first race of 2016 for the PASS North Super Late Models, the Icebreaker will serve as race three of the PASS National Championship Series.  Following last weekend's Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway, former Thompson Speedway track champion Derek Ramstrom leads the national standings by two points over Ben Rowe and Mike Hopkins and just six points over Jeremy Davis.  In total, 10 drivers are within 100 points of one another as the PASS National Championship Series reaches its halfway mark at Thompson.

From Thompson, the PASS North Super Late Model season will crank up with the Speedway Homes 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway on Sunday, April 17.  It will be the first of four starts for the stars of PASS leading up to the 43rd Annual HP Hood Oxford 250 on August 26-28.  Several new driver/team combinations will be coming together for the first time this season in PASS North's home base of Maine. Defending HP Hood Oxford 250 winner, Glen Luce, will be looking to continue his magic at Oxford Plains, while Mike and Ben Rowe, DJ Shaw, Travis Benjamin, Johnny Clark, Joey Doiron and others look to establish themselves as the one to beat heading towards the 250.  Plus, the ACT Late Models will compete in the Husqvarna 100 Presented By Dave's Small Engines and the PASS Modifieds will be in action to complete this big weekend of racing.

On that same weekend, back down south, the PASS South Super Late Models will be back in action on Saturday, April 16with a big 150 lapper at Caraway Speedway near Asheboro, NC.  PASS South is in the midst of another great points battle among three young stars.  Rookie Kodie Conner continues to lead the standings, now by six points over Matt Craig and just 10 points over defending PASS South Super Late Model champion, Tate Fogleman.  In addition to the PASS South action at Caraway Speedway, the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour will compete for 150 laps, along with the Limited Late Models, Chargers, Mini Stocks, and Hornets.

RAPHAËL LESSARD: EN PISTE AVEC LES CARS SUPER LATE MODELS TOUR



Une semaine chargée pour Raphaël Lessard, le jeune pilote de Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce. 

Raphaël participera a la première d'une série de dix courses du championnat CARS SUPER LATE MODELS TOUR (http://www.carsracingtour.com) au volant de la #99 FRL Express/Toyota/JBLAudio/David Gilliland Racing samedi le 2 avril sur le circuit de Southern National Motorsports Park en Caroline du Nord (http://snmpark.com). 

En préparation pour la course, il sera en piste le jeudi 31 mars pour une journée d'essais privés ainsi que le vendredi 1er avril pour les essais libres de la série sur le même circuit.

Le circuit de Southern National est d'une longueur de 4/10 de mille avec des inclinaisons en virage de 17 degrés et de 7 degrés sur les lignes droites.

Marc Bégin sera du championnat Sportsman Qc

Un des pilotes les plus populaires de la Beauce effectue un retour au stock-car pour la saison 2016 et c'est la Série Sportsman Qc qu'il a choisi de le faire. 

En effet, le pilote de Saint-Philibert a acquis la voiture #10 de Michael Lavoie ce qui ne veut pas dire qu'on ne verra pas Lavoie en piste lui qui a une autre voiture Sportsman en construction. 

Sachant que Marc Bégin a toujours été un pilote très compétitif et ce peu importe la classe où il a coursé et connaissant la qualité de construction de la voiture qu'il a acquise on peut définitivement s'attendre à d'excellente performance du pilote Beauceron. 

Selon les dires d'un autre aspirant au championnat, Martin Latulippe, Marc Bégin viendra rehausser la qualité du spectacle en Sportsman Qc. 

Reconnu pour être un pilote respectueux en piste et très apprécié des autres équipes, son retour sera sans aucun doute faire le bonheur des amateurs de stock-car. 

Bien qu'il ne soit plus au volant sur base régulière depuis quelques années, on peut dire que Marc Bégin a laissé sa trace. Ayant fait ses débuts à l'Autodrome Chaudière en 1992, il a coursé dans la catégorie Pro-Stock et Super Stock avant de poursuivre en Modifié en 1996. En 1999, il fait le saut dans la catégorie LMS où il coursera aussi entre 2002 et 2005. 

C'est en 2006 qu'il fait son entrée dans la Série Sportsman où il coursera jusqu'en 2009. Il terminera sa dernière saison, en 2009, 4e au championnat de fin de saison. 

En 2015, le temps d'une course, Marc Bégin reprend le volant à bord de la voiture de Martin Latulippe avec la série PASS lors du dernier programme présenté à l'Autodrome Chaudière. 

Pour 2016, à bord de sa voiture aux couleurs de Fernand Bégin Pièces d'Autos, Marc Bégin sera assurément prendre sa place et se placer parmi les pilotes en liste pour le championnat tant régional que provincial.

Car to be revealed at Adirondack Thunder ECHL regular season finale on April 9

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – A familiar name is headed back to Devil's Bowl Speedway in 2016.  Veteran stock car driver Brent Dragon has teamed up with Chad White to compete in West Haven, Vt., on Saturday nights in the Central Vermont Motorcycles Asphalt Late Model division during the track's historic 50thseason.  The team will unveil its entry during the regular season finale for the Adirondack Thunder hockey team at the Glens Falls Civic Center in Glens Falls, N.Y., on Saturday, April 9.

Dragon is part of one of Vermont's most famous racing families and owns a pair of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series victories at Devil's Bowl.  The Milton native will drive the potent No. 8 Northern Truck & Equipment/CV Waste entry that carried Fort Ann, N.Y., driver White to his first career victory last August.

Dragon's most recent Devil's Bowl win came in a photo finish at the 2012 Vermont 200.  He is tied for sixth on the American-Canadian Tour's all-time win list and is a former Milk Bowl winner at Thunder Road.  His father, Harmon "Beaver" Dragon, and uncle, Bobby Dragon, were winners at Devil's Bowl in the 1970s.  Dragon expects to compete in as many as eight races at Devil's Bowl while balancing commitments with the Pro All Stars Series and the Granite State Pro Stock Series.

"I'm excited to get back to Devil's Bowl," Dragon said.  "It's a great track with a good group of racers.  The switch to Saturday nights makes travel easier, and we're going to try to race there as much as we can.  Chad has a good car, so it should be a lot of fun."

White plans drive in the events that Dragon is not able to attend, and said that his brother Matt White, the 2012 championship runner-up, is also considering a return to the track in his No. 42 White's Heating car.

"We're really looking forward to this season," Chad White said.  "We've got a lot of momentum after last year, and having Brent Dragon's help will make us even better as a group.  Plus, I can see the Glens Falls Civic Center from my work office, so it's fun to be doing something at home with the car and the Adirondack Thunder."

The No. 8 car will be on display at the Glens Falls Civic Center on Saturday, April 9.  The Adirondack Thunder – the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) affiliate of National Hockey League's Calgary Flames – will face off against division rival Manchester Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. to close out the regular season before the Kelly Cup Playoffs.  The Thunder currently rank fifth in the ECHL's Eastern Conference standings with a record of 35-25-2-4.

 Niederzissen, Allemagne - 29 mars 2016 : Alex Tagliani et l'équipe ZAKSPEED ont participé la semaine dernière à deux journées d'essais à l'Autodrome de Monza en Italie où se déroulera du 22 au 24 avril prochain, la manche d'ouverture de la Coupe européenne d'endurance Blancpain. Le pilote québécois fera alors ses débuts au volant de sa Mercedes AMG GT3 en compagnie de son compatriote Jean-Frédéric Laberge.


Au début du mois de mars, l'équipe de Niederzissen avait participé aux essais officiels de la série au circuit Paul Ricard. Lors de ces essais, l'équipe allemande découvrait une nouvelle voiture de course, et ses pilotes devaient avant tout l'apprivoiser. « Nous avons connu quelques ennuis au circuit du Castelet, mais le programme d'essais intensifs que nous avons poursuivi au cours des dernières semaines a porté ses fruits. Nous avons maintenant une meilleure connaissance de la voiture et nos pilotes ont fait de l'excellent travail. Tag nous a démontré sa grande rapidité, mais nous savions au départ qu'il serait un atout important pour notre équipe. Il nous a démontré un talent exceptionnel dans l'analyse du comportement de la voiture ce qui aide énormément nos ingénieurs dans la mise au point de cette nouvelle Mercedes AMG GT3. Pour un pilote avec une expérience limitée en GT, c'est très impressionnant » déclare Peter Zakowski, propriétaire de l'équipe ZAKSPEED à propos de son nouveau pilote.


Alex Tagliani, qui est surtout connu pour ses succès en monoplace, s'adapte facilement à la voiture GT. «C'est tout un changement après avoir piloté des formules durant la majorité de ma carrière. La voiture GT est plus légère et a beaucoup plus d'appuis qu'une NASCAR, mais je me suis rapidement ajusté, a souligné Tagliani. La nouvelle Mercedes AMG GT3 est toute une voiture à cause de son comportement exceptionnel. C'est la première fois que je pilote une voiture avec un toit qui me permet de défier les zones de freinage. C'est super excitant. À la suite de ces derniers essais en Italie, je suis très confiant pour la course à Monza dans quelques semaines. Ça va être tout un défi de partager la voiture avec d'autres pilotes, et il sera très important pour notre groupe de s'améliorer en tant qu'équipe pour soutirer chaque seconde lors des changements de pilote et durant chacune de nos sorties en course. Lors de nos derniers essais, l'équipe AMG nous a fourni de précieux conseils. Ça va être un plaisir de travailler avec les ingénieurs de ZAKSPEED au cours de la saison, car faire partie de cette équipe est quelque chose de particulier pour tout pilote. » 


L'équipe de Peter Zakowski a démontré au cours des essais qu'elle peut se frotter aux meilleures en enregistrant le troisième chrono le jeudi et le cinquième le lendemain. «Les deux jours ont été très importants pour ZAKSPEED, car nous avons énormément appris. Les pilotes ont fait du bon boulot, et nos deux équipes sont bien équilibrées. Jean-Frédéric (Laberge) s'est bien adapté pour un pilote qui découvre la GT3, et Alex est très rapide sur des pneus très usés et j'aime sa façon de reconnaître rapidement le comportement de la voiture et de trouver les bons correctifs à apporter. Alex a surpris l'équipe d'ingénieurs avec sa cadence en piste. Il se comportait comme un vieux routier de la GT. Il a tout un avenir en série GT, souligne Sascha Fassbender, directeur de l'équipe ZAKSPEED.Nous sommes très heureux de le compter dans nos rangs. Nous sommes très confiants pour la saison qui vient, et attendons avec impatience le début de la saison à Monza. Bientôt, nous allons dévoiler les couleurs de la Mercedes AMG GT3 numéro 91 de Tag et Jeff. »


La première épreuve de la Coupe européenne d'endurance Blancpain aura lieu du 22 au 24 avril à Monza.

Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) kicks off its 25th season of Late Model competition on Sunday, April 10 with the New Hampshire Governor's Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway. A talented field is getting ready for the 13-race 2016 season, setting up a wide-open championship battle. Reigning ACT Late Model Tour Champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr. is set to defend his title, but a mix of new challengers and rising stars will fight him at every stop for the $10,000 top prize.

 

Dover, NH's Helliwell and his Bernhardt Motorsports team put together one of the best seasons in ACT Late Model Tour history in 2015 en route to their third ACT Championship in four seasons. Helliwell captured four wins, including the NH Governor's Cup at his home track of Lee, and finished in the top-10 in every event. Helliwell became the third driver to win at least three ACT Late Model championships, joining Brian Hoar (8) and Jean-Paul Cyr (7). A fourth championship would further solidify his place among the all-time great ACT drivers.

 

A top group competitors looks to take the crown away. Rowley, MA's Eddie MacDonald recently filed a full-season entry and will chase the ACT championship for the first time. MacDonald already has a number of ACT wins in part-time competition, including four triumphs in the Bond Auto ACT Invitational, and could be Helliwell's fiercest challenger.

 

Waterford, CT's Dillon Moltz and Colchester, VT's Scott Payea are also on the list of incoming drivers who could contend for the title. Former Granite State Pro Stock Series Champion Moltz was impressive in a handful of ACT events last season, finishing second at Oxford Plains Speedway in July and leading the season finale at Thompson Speedway before an incident on a late restart. Payea returns to full-time ACT Late Model Tour competition for the first time since 2010 behind the wheel of the RPM Motorsports Dodge Charger, which has previously been piloted to multiple ACT championships by both Brian Hoar and Jean-Paul Cyr.

 

Among returning ACT drivers, Windham, ME's Brad Babb sits as the biggest threat to Helliwell. Babb posted two wins and two runner-up finishes in his first season driving for Joey Laquerre Motorsports, and aims to be even better in 2016. Former ACT Rookie of the Year Brandon Atkins also looks to join the title conversation. Au Sable Forks, NY's Atkins finished fifth in the final ACT standings in his sophomore season and will try to take another step forward.

 

A number of young and new drivers could also upend the status quo. Kyle Welch had the best season of his ACT career in 2015 and showed the potential to do more. Defending ACT Rookie of the Year Rich Dubeau will look to become a regular top-10 runner. Multi-time White Mountain Motorsports Park winner Ryan Olsen, defending Legend Cars ZMAX Touring Series Champion Devin O'Connell, and former Thompson Speedway regular Mark Jenison will all join the ACT Late Model Tour in 2016 and could turn heads.

 

The 2016 ACT Late Model Tour championship chase gets under way at Lee USA Speedway on Sunday, April 10 with the New Hampshire Governor's Cup 150. Waterbury, VT – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Seekonk Speedway officials have announced an agreement with Propane Plus to sponsor the ACT Late Model Tour event at Seekonk on Saturday, July 16. The Propane Plus 150 will mark ACT's return to the ¼-mile speedway for the first time since 2007.

 

The event is also the second leg of the ACT Southern New England Tripleheader. The three-race series begins at Connecticut's New London-Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday, May 21, before traveling to Massachusett's Seekonk Speedway for the Propane Plus 150. The Tripleheader concludes at Thompson Speedway on Saturday, October 15 as part of the World Series of Speedway Racing.

 

"We are excited to see Propane Plus become a part of this great race," Seekonk Speedway Director of Business Development Ed St. Germain said. "Propane Plus has been a long-term supporter of short track racing and Seekonk Speedway, giving back in many ways and sponsoring many teams and programs over the years. We look forward to the Propane Plus 150 ACT race becoming an annual 'must see' event at Seekonk and the other tracks involved in the ACT Southern New England Tripleheader."

 

Propane Plus is a leading regional full-service provider of propane and HVAC services, with locations in Rehoboth, MA and East Greenwich, RI. The company also sponsors several weekly programs and initiatives at the speedway, including the Propane Plus Driver Autograph Session and the digital edition of the Seekonk Scene racing magazine.

 

The Propane Plus 150 will be the eighth event on the 13-race 2016 ACT Late Model Tour schedule. The 25th season of ACT Late Model racing opens Sunday, April 10 with the New Hampshire Governor's Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway.

HICKORY, NC (March 26) – Jonathan McKennedy grabbed the lead from Brandon Ward on lap 94 and led the race until it was called for rain on lap 108 to win the inaugural Southern Modified Racing Series (SMRS) Presented By PASS event Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway.  McKennedy's Easter Bunny 125 win came in an action packed race that saw the lead change hands 11 times among six different drivers.

            "It's great to be here at Hickory, it's got a lot of history to it and it's pretty awesome to win down here," said McKennedy in victory lane.  "I knew we had a real good chance to win at about halfway when the other cars started coming back to me.  We had a great pit stop and I was able to get the lead, and the rain obviously helped us a little bit too."

            Lisbon, CT's Chris Pasteryak blistered the legendary speedway in qualifying with lap of 85.651 miles per hour, but would start sixth after the top six qualifiers redraw.  Former North-South Shootout winners Matt Hirschman and Burt Myers would move up to the front row and lead the field to green for the inaugural SMRS event.

            Myers quickly jumped into the lead, but just as quickly Cale Gale took it from him on lap two.  Several cars were making their way up through the field, including Bobby Measmer, Jr. and Brandon Ward, who wasted little time moving towards the front.

            The lead pack of ten cars changed the lead back-and-forth, lap-after-lap, with several drivers taking turns at the front, such as Gale, Myers, Pasteryak, Ward, and Jeremy Mayfield.  Eventually, Ward would take the lead from Mayfield on lap 40 and take command with Gale and Myers following close behind.

            After leading more than 30 laps, Ward would lose the lead when Burt Myers moved to the outside to take the position on lap 76.  Gale followed Myers around Ward for second and then would bypass Myers for the lead again on lap 83.

            The first caution of the night did not wave until lap 92 when Kevin Orlando slowed in turn three, causing the lapped cars of Gary Putnam and Josh Nichols to check up and spin, collecting the third place running Ward in the process.  While the leaders took the opportunity to pit for fresh rubber, Ward stayed out, opting for track position and hoping for rain.

            But, the rains did not come and once back under green, McKennedy moved by Ward for the lead on lap 94.  McKennedy led until the rains came on lap 108 and was awarded the win over John Smith, B. Myers, Measmer, and Hirschman.  Rounding out the top ten were Kyle Bonsignore, Pasteryak, Jason Myers, Patrick Emerling, and Gale.

Autodrome Chaudière: la classe Semi Pro



Une seconde vie pour la classe Semi-Pro

Alors que l'an dernier, on parlait d'une classe « sur le respirateur artificiel » il en est tout autre pour la saison qui s'annonce. Les représentants des pilotes qui n'ont jamais baissé les bras ainsi que les propriétaires de l'Autodrome Chaudière et leur promoteur, André Poulin seront récompensés par leur travail.

Avec un tout nouveau commanditaire principal qui a été annoncé, Garage Gilles Roy, actuellement la liste compte 20 pilotes qui ont réservé leur numéro et nous recevons encore des inscriptions. Nous retrouverons sur notre ovale des vétérans comme le #47 Yves Marcoux de Thetford Mines, le #116 Françis Grégoire de St-Isidore et le #48 Yves Perreault de Vallée-Jonction, mais aussi de nouveaux visages.

En effet, quelques recrues se joindront à ces vétérans tels que le #01 Jonathan Bergeron de Notre-Dame des Pins, le #03 Steeve Verret de St-Narcisse anciennement pilote dans la classe amateur et le #40 Kenny Jacques de Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce.

Deux pilotes qu'on a pu voir en piste en fin de saison l'an dernier seront à nouveau éligible au titre de recrue de l'année soit le #00 Jérémie Lebel ainsi que le jeune pilote de Québec, le #18 Tommy Simoneau.

La pilote Ann-Marie Lessard, championne 2015 de la classe Amateur, sera en piste en Semi Pro à titre de recrue. Elle sera la première femme de cette classe à l'Autodrome Chaudière Vallée-Jonction et bien que cette année en sera une de transition, on sait qu'elle a tout pour être en mesure de compétitionner avec les autres pilotes.

Un autre champion 2015 ce joint à la classe soit le #26 Martin Bisson qui a remporté le championnat Sport Compact Élite ainsi que la Triple Couronne en 2015. Pour Bisson, son arrivée en Semi-Pro était une continuité de l'évolution faite depuis ses débuts parmi les classes régionales.

À bord de la voiture de Marc St-Hilaire, nous pourrons voir en piste le #83 Vincent Vachon de Vachon Motorsport. Le pilote de Saints-Anges compte participer à toute la saison et pourrait bien surprendre par sa connaissance du tracé et son habileté à préparer une voiture compétitive lui qui fait partie de l'équipe Super Late de Martin Latulippe.

Avec le retour entre autres du #27 Keven Bisson à qui on a remis le prix du pilote le plus amélioré lors de la saison 2015, du #11 Johny Vachon, de la voiture #71 conduite conjointement par James et Yvon Vachon ainsi que des #23 Mario Vallière, #24 Jean Blouin, #55 Alain Veer et le #56 Normand Lapierre, la saison promet d'être remplie d'actions.

Rendez-vous lors de leur premier programme le 20 mai prochain à l'Autodrome Chaudière de Vallée-Jonction.

HICKORY, NC (March 26) – Three-time Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model national champion Ben Rowe led 114 laps en route to a dominating win in Saturday night's 11th Annual Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway.  The Turner, ME, native's second win in the Easter Bunny 150 was made even sweeter by the fact that it guarantees Rowe a starting spot in this year's Oxford 250 in August at Oxford Plains Speedway in Maine.

"I just tried to set my own pace, but that kid in the 19 car [Riley Herbst], he was giving me all I wanted, but if I could clear him off turn two I was ok and I can't think of a better way to travel back home 17 hours than with a win," said Rowe after his first win in the prestigious race since 2009.  "This win is I huge, I mean it's the Easter Bunny and this is Hickory and it's a tough place.  To be locked into the Oxford 250 is huge too.  I've seen over 100 cars try to qualify for that race and a lot can happen in the heat races, so to have a guaranteed starting spot is great."

            Qualifying earlier in the day had its own share drama with several drivers breaking the six-year-old track record set by Andy Loden.  Jody Measamer set the new track record with a lap of 82.693 miles per hour and also became the fastest Super Late Model driver in any series to ever tour the legendary speedway.  Following the top 10 qualifiers redraw, Measamer would slot into the seventh starting position, while the father-son duo of Ben and Mike Rowe would move to the front row.

            When the green flag fell under overcast skies, M. Rowe jumped into the lead over the younger member of the family. The two would trade the lead four times before B. Rowe would take command on lap 41. 

            Following a caution for an incident between Brandon Setzer and Tracy Gordon on lap 54, B. Rowe continued to lead, but a new player was in the mix.  Trey Jarrell took the top spot on lap 56, before relinquishing it to B. Rowe four laps later. While they were exchanging the lead up front, Matt Craig and Joey Doiron had climbed up to 10th and 11th respectively after both started deep in the field.

            After spins by Tanner Gray and Trevor Noles in turn four, the action continued to pick up with less than 50 laps to go. DJ Shaw's return to PASS was derailed with 34 laps to go when he spun and collected Craig, Doiron, and Joey Padgett. Things would only get worse for the defending PASS National Champion, Doiron, when he was eliminated in a crash involving Travis Stearns, Josh Williams and Travis Benjamin just 10 laps later.

            After struggling with the handle on his car throughout the night, three-time Easter Bunny 150 winner Preston Peltier climbed into the top 10 and into contention late in the race.  But, Peltier would be eliminated in a grinding crash in turn three on lap 129 involving AJ Frank and Kodie Conner.

            B. Rowe held off a persistent Riley Herbst to take the win over Derek Ramstrom, Measamer, and Jeremy Davis. Rounding out the top 10 were Mike Hopkins, Gray, Jarrell, Tate Fogleman, and John-Michael Shenette.

            Next up, will be the PASS North Super Late Model season opener and round three of the PASS National Championship Series as part of the annual Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway in Connecticut on April 9-10.
