CINQ QUÉBÉCOIS AU NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Cinq pilotes qui participent au championnat québécois de l'ACT participeront, samedi prochain, à la cinquième édition du Bond Auto Parts Invitational qui aura lieu dans le cadre du Sylvania 300 de la Coupe Sprint de Nascar au New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Il s'agit de Donald Theetge de Boischatel, Jean-François Déry de Québec, le nouveau champion québécois de l'ACT, Alex Labbé de St-Lambert, Jonathan Bouvrette de Blainville ainsi que Dany Trépanier de St-Édouard-de-Lotbinière.

De ce quintet, c'est à Déry d'avoir obtenu le meilleur résultat, soit une sixième place en 2010. Ce dernier en sera à une quatrième participation tout comme Theetge. Ce dernier a terminé 19^e en 2010.Pour sa part, Trépanier en sera à une troisième présence et ce dernier compte améliorer son résultat de l'a dernier, soit une 12^e position.

Quant à Labbé, il en sera à une deuxième tentative. En 2010, il s'était classé vingtième, mais l'équipe Larue pour laquelle il conduit maintenant possède beaucoup d'expérience dans cet événement. En effet, Karl Allard a couru trois fois dans ce Bond Invitational et il n'a jamais terminé plus loin que la 12^e place alors que Jonathan Bouvrette prendra le départ pour une première fois sur le tracé du New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Lors d'une récente journée d'essais à cet endroit, c'est Jimmy Hebert le gagnant de l'épreuve de Sanair, qui s'est avéré le plus rapide avec un chrono de 31,491 secondes alors qu'en troisième place juste derrière Joey Pole, on retrouvait Alex Labbé avec un temps de 31,531 secondes.

Les trois gagnants des événements antérieurs seront de la partie. Eddie McDonald a gagné en 2011 et 2009, Joey Pole en 2010 et Ray Parent, lors de la dernière course en 2012. La grille de départ de cette épreuve de 50 tours, comportera 43 participants.

Les amateurs qui se rendront à ce Bond Auto Parts lors de la journée de samedi, auront également droit à deux séances d'essais pour les pilotes de la Coupe Sprint, une finale de 100 tours de la série Nascar Modified Whelen Séries et une autre de 100 passages également de la série K&N East.

St-Eustache, QC – Patrick Laperle of St-Denis, QC claimed the St-Eustache 100 win in front of his hometown crowd at Autodrome St-Eustache on Saturday, September 14. The 100-lap event was originally scheduled for June 1 but was postponed twice due to rain before being scheduled as the first leg of a doubleheader weekend. Jean-François Déry of Quebec City took second position and strengthened his point lead heading into tomorrow's 200-lap finale at St-Eustache.
Second place point man Alex Labbe of St-Albert, QC led early in the event before fading backwards in the middle stages of the event. Donald Theetge stole the lead from Labbe until contact on a lap 15 restart sent him spinning in turn one. Jonathan Bouvrette edged Labbe on the ensuing restart and appeared to be the fastest car on the track until Déry got by him while the two worked through lapped traffic.
Déry led from lap 42 through 86, earning an all important 5 bonus points for leading the most laps. Laperle was all over the back bumper of Déry looking for any mistake. The mistake finally came on lap 86 when Déry slipped up while negotiating a lapped car. Laperle got by on the outside and never relinquished the lead. Déry settled for second, while Labbe clawed his way back to third. Theetge and Bouvrette both recovered from spins to finish in the top five in 4th and 5th respectively.
Déry entered the event with a 12 point lead over Labbe. He gained another 3 points and now unofficially leads by 15 going into tomorrow's season finale 200.
Série ACT completes their 2013 season and crowns their champion tomorrow (Sunday, September 15) following the St-Eustache 200 at Autodrome St-Eustache. The champion will take home $20,000 as part of an $80,000 point fund.

NASCAR Announces Decision Following Review

Of Race At Richmond International Raceway

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 13, 2013) – Following a comprehensive review of all available audio and video communications from last Saturday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway, along with interviews with team personnel, NASCAR announced Friday the following decision:

· Both the Front Row Motorsports and Penske Racing organizations have been placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31 for violating Section 12-1 (Actions detrimental to stock car racing).

· A 13th car – the No. 24 – would be added to this year’s Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

“Based on all of our findings this week, we determined both Front Row Motorsports and Penske Racing organizations would be placed on probation for the remainder of this season,” said Brian France, NASCAR Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Additionally, based upon the totality of our findings, to be fair and equitable we decided that adding a 13th car to this year’s Chase is the appropriate action.

“Beginning with our decision Monday, which resulted in an unprecedented team penalty, and continuing with further examination of actions involving two other race teams, it is clear to us that attempts to manipulate the results impacted the Chase field.

“The integrity of our sport remains the cornerstone of NASCAR, and our actions this week speak to our commitment to ensure a level playing field for all competitors.”

Additionally, NASCAR will conduct a mandatory meeting with drivers, owners, crew chiefs and other team personnel tomorrow to address this issue moving forward.

NASCAR 'CONTINUES TO GATHER ALL THE FACTS'

Radio communication between teams at center of latest drama

CHICAGO -- NASCAR has been alerted to another potential issue from Saturday night’s event at Richmond International Raceway, this time involving the teams of Joey Logano and David Gilliland -- but hasn’t yet seen enough evidence to hand out any penalties.

On Thursday, NASCAR issued the following statement: "NASCAR is continuing to gather all the facts from last Saturday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Richmond International Raceway. NASCAR will have no further comment until all the facts have been examined."

The Associated Press on Wednesday reported radio communications between the No. 38 and No. 22 teams that it alleges may have helped Logano get into the Chase for the Sprint Cup. The Penske Racing driver passed two cars in the waning laps to earn the 10th and final playoff position based on the standings, by one point over Jeff Gordon.

Waterbury, VT – The 43-car field for the 5^th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway has been announced. The biggest names in American Canadian Tour Late Models will be on hand for the event on Saturday, September 21.

The field will be led by twelve drivers who have won an Invitational qualifier event. A strong contingent from New Hampshire includes Wayne Helliwell, Jr. and Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. Vermont drivers Brian Hoar, Jimmy Hebert, Bobby Therrien and Cody Blake claimed qualifier wins. From north of the border, Quebecer’s Jean-François Déry, Alex Labbe, Donald Theetge, Dany Trepanier have all won qualifying events. Travis Stearns of Maine and Eddie MacDonald of Massachusetts complete the 12 Invitational Qualifier winners.

The remainder of the field includes American Canadian Tour regulars Ben Lynch, Glen Luce, Kyle Welch, Ray Parent, Rowland Robinson, Jr., Luke Hinkley and Todd Davis. Completing the Canadian group are Série ACT’s Jonathan Bouvrette, as well as Ontario’s Sean Kennedy and Bryan Mercer.

Representatives from several tracks around the Northeast will also be on hand. From Thunder Road, Ricky Roberts, Emily Packard, Jamie Fisher, Matt White, and the Grandfather/Grandson combo of 70-year-old Joey Laquerre and 16-year-old Joey M. Laquerre. Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s Brandon Atkins and Josh Masterson also accepted invites.

Five title races within 17 points entering season finale on Sept. 14-15

WEST HAVEN, VT – Stock car racing fans at Devil’s Bowl Speedway will have plenty of number-crunching to do in the grandstands at the Vermont 200 Championship Weekend on September 14-15. Five of the championship races that will be decided during the two-day event have airtight point battles and will undoubtedly come down to the final laps.

The top two drivers in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model division are separated by only four points for the championship. Josh Masterson, a 22-year-old rookie from Bristol, VT, has earned three victories in his freshman season. Cagey veteran Chris Bergeron of Claremont, NH has four wins and trails his young rival by four points – the difference of just two on-track positions – entering the final 100-lap race on Sunday. Both are chased by another impressive rookie, 16-year-old feature race winner Brandon Atkins of AuSable Forks, NY, who is just 31 points out of the lead.

The 100-lap race also counts as the final event in the four-race Vermont State Late Model Championship Series, in which Nick Sweet of Barre, VT leads Chip Grenier of Graniteville, VT by a close 17 points. Sweet has an up-and-down history at Devil’s Bowl but won the track’s most recent Vermont State event – the People’s United Bank 100 – in June. Grenier has taken a shine to Devil’s Bowl, finishing second to Sweet in June and second to Brent Dragon in a photo finish on Vermont 200 Weekend in 2012.

The intermediate Reneagde division championship fight is one of the closest in Devil’s Bowl history with Richie Turner of Fairfax, VT, defending champion Robert Gordon of Milton, VT, and top rookie Brad Bushey of Cambridge, VT just three points apart entering the final race. The Central Vermont Motorcycles Mini Stock class has Jake Noble of Benson, VT trying to fend off rookie Chuck Bradford of Addison, VT for the title, with Chris LaVair another 14 points behind.

The Enduro Series points race will likely come down to the final lap, as Eric “Mongo” Messier of Hinesburg, VT and “Wild Bill” Fountain of Altona, NY enter the race tied at the top of the standings. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Todd Stone of Middlebury, VT will clinch the lead-division Bond Auto Parts Modified championship simply by taking the green flag in the two 50-lap features scheduled for the division.

The Vermont 200 Championship Weekend is Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s final event of the year and spans two jam-packed days. Special non-winner’s “Shootout” races and first-round qualifying begin at 1:30pm on Saturday, Sept. 14, followed by a barbeque, music, and a bonfire. Championship main events are on Sunday, Sept. 15, with action beginning at 1:30pm. One-day adult general admission is $10 on Saturday and $20 on Sunday, with a discount two-day ticket available for $25; admission is free for kids 12 and under both days. Free camping is open Friday, Sept. 13 at 12:00 noon through Monday, Sept. 16.

SÉRIE SPORTSMAN QUÉBEC: Un dernier programme à couper le souffle.

Un dernier programme à couper le souffle.

C’est ce vendredi 06 septembre, à l’Autodrome Chaudière, qu’à eu lieu le Langis Caron 150 tours, dernier programme de l’année pour la Série Sportsman Lucas Oil.

Un programme qui promettait en intensité et en rebondissement et qui a répondu sans aucun doute aux attentes. Avec 30 voitures présentes, toutes les conditions y étaient pour offrir aux spectateurs présents une finale étonnante

Le tout pour le tout pour le 30 tours.

Le départ s’est donné avec 17 voitures en piste. On pouvait sentir toute la fébrilité dans les équipes qui devaient se classer parmi les 11 premières pour s’assurer de participer à la finale de 175 tours. C’est ainsi que nous avons pu voir de chaudes luttes qui auront permis à Tony Côté #1 de terminer ce segment en première position suivi de Patrick Laperle dans la voiture #10 et de Louis-Philippe Labrecque #22. De plus, le pilote Jean D’Amours #54 a été le choix du promoteur. D’Amours a ainsi été la 25^e voiture à pouvoir participer au programme principal étant le pilote parmi les non-qualifiés à avoir le plus de programmes complétés avec la Série cette année et comptant plus de 10 ans de présence comme pilote à cet autodrome.

Une finale où les meneurs n’ont pas laissé leur place

Après une présentation des pilotes qui a permise aux équipes de souligner l’implication de leurs commanditaires ainsi qu’aux fans d’applaudir leur préféré, le drapeau vert a été déployé pour un 150 tours où tout était possible.

Les pilotes en liste pour le championnat jouaient effectivement le tout pour le tout étant donné le mince écart de points qui les séparaient.

Partant en 1ere position, le #88 Dave Trevors nous a démontré dès les premiers tours son tempérament combatif lui qui a tout donné pour conserver sa position avec un Steve Lesage #95 qui n’était pas prêt à lui céder sa place. La malchance s’est encore une fois abattue sur Trevors qui a été contraint d’entrer aux puits suite à des ennuis mécaniques, lui qui n’a pu compléter que 121 tours. Quant à Lesage, nous avons pu le voir effectuer de belles remontées alors qu’il a été impliqué dans quelques incidents le faisant repartir à l’arrière, c’est avec une 6^e position que le pilote termine le programme.

Malouin McKibbin et Rock Poulin n’avait pas dit leur dernier mot

Bien que Patrick Laperle #10, partie en 8^e position, se soit emparé de la 1ere position après une quarantaine de tours de fait, il ne l’a pas eu aussi facile qu’espéré. En effet, les réguliers de la Série Sportsman ont tenu tête à Laperle. On a pu voir de beaux côte à côté avec entre autre, le #45 Steve Malouin Mckibbin. Usant de sa patience habituel et et avec le talent de pilote qu’on lui reconnaît, Malouin Mckibbin a remonté les positions une à une de la 12^e position à la première pour finalement terminer le programme sur la 3^e marche du podium.

On ne pourrait passer sous silence la performance incroyable du #16 Rock Poulin qui a connu une course exceptionnelle hier. Après être repartie à l’arrière du peloton, Poulin a littéralement filé jusqu’à l’avant. Déterminé à terminer sur la 1ere marche du podium, le pilote de La Guadeloupe a fait vivre aux spectateurs présents de fortes émotions et particulièrement lors des 5 derniers tours. Côte à côte avec Laperle, il ne s’est pas laissé impressionner et a foncé sans jamais abandonner. C’est devant une foule qui n’a pas hésité à se lever pour l’acclamer qu’il a passé le fil d’arrivée en premier devenant le grand vainqueur de cette finale.

Performances à souligner!

Devant plusieurs de ces fans qui s’étaient déplacés pour le voir, le #33 Philippe Poulin a répondu aux attentes. Lui qui s’est maintenu dans le top 5 une majeure partie de la course a su faire vibrer les estrades. Le pilote a été solide et su garder le focus tout au long de la course ne se laissant pas distraire par les nombreux incidents qui sont survenus pendant le programme lui permettant de terminer au 4^e rang suivi de très près par le #67 Dominic Jacques.

Podium et championnat

C’est au son des applaudissements de la foule que Rock Poulin #16, commandité principalement par Transport Gilles Boulet, est monté sur la 1ere marche du podium pour la première fois cette saison. Le pilote Patrick Laperle #10, commandité par Transport Beaulac, a donc accédé à la deuxième position. Steve Malouin Mckibbin #45, par sa 3^e place, a accédé au titre de Champion 2013 de la Série Sportsman. Malouin Mckibbin a tenu à remercier ses commanditaires, entre autres, les principaux, Traction et Pièce d'auto St-Étienne pour leur support tout au long de la saison.

Celui qui, à sa première course de l’année a battu le record du meilleur résultat pour une recrue avec sa 2^e position en finale, le #67 Dominic Jacques s’est vu obtenir officiellement le titre de gagnant du championnat des Recrues Construction GCEG 2013. Originaire de Vallée-Jonction, il va s’en dire que Jacques était particulièrement heureux à la fin du programme de sa performance obtenant son 4^e top 5 de la saison.

Toujours égal à lui-même devant un micro, la vedette LMS Patrick Laperle a servi des commentaires gratuits sur un groupe de pilotes de la Série ce qui lui a valu des huées massives de la part des spectateurs présents alors qui a du se contenter de la 2^e marche du podium.

Résultat des inspections de fin de course

Comme à chaque programme, l’équipe d’officiels, sous la supervision de Dany Ouellet, directeur technique, a procédé aux inspections des 5 premières voitures au final. Toutes les voitures inspectées étaient conformes lors de cette finale.

C’est ainsi que se termine la 7^e saison de la Série qui encore une fois cette année a su se démarquer au niveau du Stock Car au Québec.

La série tient grandement à remercier ces précieux commanditaires pour la saison 2013. De plus, tout ça ne serait possible sans la collaboration et le travail des autodromes visitées; à vous tous, nos sincères remerciement. On ne pourrait finir la saison sans une mention spéciale à tous les fans qui ont apportés leur appui à nos équipes et qui nous ont suivis tout au long de la saison. Ce fut un plaisir de travailler à vous offrir, course après course, un programme qui répond à vos attentes!

Vendredi 13 septembre 2013 : Enduro 200

Sportsman 75 tours

Le triple champion 2013 Steve Bernier se mesurera au champion de la série Seaway Mathieu Desjardins #1m/3m. Desjardins actuellement 2ème dans la série Dirt Sportsman reprendra ensuite la route tout comme Martin Pelletier #92 pour la 8ème manche de la série Dirt Sportsman à Mohawk International Raceway. Nous reverrons un dernier moment nos locaux favoris : Guy Ouellette #32, Dany Gagné #90 et les «3D» Patrice Dumouchel #3D, Jonathan Désilets #21J et Samuel Desrochers #4, étoiles montantes des Sportsman.

Sport Compact 50 tours

Les habitués du 15 tours montreront leur résistance dans plus du triple de tours. Advenant une crevaison de leurs pneus de rue, ce qui survient assez souvent, ils pourront aller aux puits et revenir. Quelqu'un pourrait nous surprendre en remontant habilement tout le peloton, ce qu'ils n'ont pas habituellement le temps de faire.

Enduro 200 tours

Un bazou avec lequel son père a connu de bonnes années de course qu'il réanime le temps d'un Enduro 200, le gars qui court les Open et le sélectif qui attend ce moment comme Noël en frottant quotidiennement son trésor dans le garage, tous seront de cette indémodable tradition. C'est le plus beau jour de l'année pour notre fidèle spectateur Fernand L'Heureux #07 qui avait gagné l'Enduro en 2011 alors que celui de 2012 n'a pas eu lieu. Certains feront tout de suite banquecroute alors que d'autres montreront ce que leur bolide a dans le ventre jusqu'au sommet.

Préparez votre mince 19 $, les courses commencent à 19h, mais le party prend avant !

Samedi 14 septembre 2013 : Bert 150

Modifié 150 tours

Sébastien Gougeon #44, maintenant que sa saison régulière à Drummondville est terminée nous fera le plaisir de sa présence. Gabriel Richer #10R, vice-champion STR 2012, complètera sa première saison en Modifié chez nous par cet évènement grandiose. La triade François Bernier #49, Kayle Robidoux #46, Alain Boisvert #73, voudront s'imposer en maîtres devant l'envahisseur. De plus, la pluie n'a diminué en rien leur ardeur d'en finir entre eux. David Hébert #1m/37 sera présent malgré une nuit écourtée par la veille à MIR pour la 7ème manche de la série Dirt 358 où il est présentement 1er dans le classement.

Pro-Stock 50 tours

Même si François Adam #01 a remporté le championnat devant Stéphane Lemire #115, ils n'ont pas fini de vouloir s'en montrer. La preuve vendredi dernier au Racemania alors que Lemire a terminé premier devant Adam ! La suite samedi 14 septembre !

Bruno Cyr #33, Alain Brochu #12, Mario Gagnon #47, Rolland Hébert #97 qui ont eu du travail cette semaine suite à un accident vendredi dernier à Drummondville, finiront l'année de plus belle façon.

Sprint STR 25 tours

La série STR en sera à leur deuxième passage parmi nous. Pierre Hébert #1 y a emporté sa seule victoire jusqu'à maintenant. Saura-t-il répéter l'exploit ? Maxime Plante #79 est actuellement le meneur au classement Revstar Dirt STR. La série se poursuit jusqu'au 28 septembre au RPM Speedway.

Michel Tassé, qui fait la renommée de la course sur la terre battue avec sa voix de l'Est (sans jeu de mots) se marie avec sa tendre Marie-Noëlle rencontrée un certain 14 septembre. Félicitations à vous deux !

Les détenteurs des billets Pneus Robert Bernard du 19 juillet 2013, seront heureux d'apprendre qu'ils sont applicables au Bert 150 pour la reprise de l'évènement.

Autodrome St-Eustache : programme double

AU NIVEAU DES CATÉGORIES LOCALES

La dernière pour les Sportsman et encore

trois courses pour certaines divisions de l'ANCA

St-Eustache, 11 septembre 2013. Dans le cadre du week-end ACT TT-300, où les pilotes ACT s'affronteront samedi et dimanche dans les finales de 100 et 200 tours, les divisions locales ANCA de l'Autodrome St-Eustache ne seront pas en reste puisque samedi soir le 14, les engagés en Sportsman Lucas Oil termineront leur saison 2013 avec une finale de 50 tours.

Pour Jean-François Bouvrette, de St-Jérôme, ce ne sera qu'une formalité due à son avance insurmontable qui lui assure le championnat pour la saison 2013. Il sera cependant intéressant de surveiller la lutte entre les Aubin, Lacombe et Pelletier qui occupent les deuxième, troisième et quatrième positions au classement cumulatif.

Le programme de samedi, présenté par Pavé, briques design, sera complété par la participation des divisions Légendes Modifiées et Sport Compactes avec les Aubin et Miron en tête du classement de ces deux catégories.

Ces deux divisions seront de retour dimanche, ainsi que les Challenge 4 pour compléter le programme qui sera présenté par Sani-Vac et qui comprendra la grande finale de 200 tours en ACT. Quant à eux, les pilotes Grand Régional feront relâche au cours de ce week-end.

Samedi après-midi, les puits ouvriront à 17h00, la période d'essais débutera à 17h30 sera suivie des qualifications qui débuteront à 19h10, tandis que la première des quatre finales débutera à 20h15. Le prix d'entrée pour samedi sera de 30$ pour les adultes, 15$ pour les 17 ans et moins et gratuit pour les enfants de 12 ans et moins. L'admission dans les puits sera de 35$ pour les adultes et 20$ pour les 17 ans et moins.

Quant à dimanche matin, les puits ouvriront à 09h00, la période d'essais débutera à 10h00et sera suivie des qualifications qui débuteront sur le coup de midi, tandis que la première des quatre finales débutera à 14h. La grande finale de 200 tours ACT débutera à 15h00. Le prix d'entrée pour dimanche sera de 35$ pour les adultes, 25$ pour les 17 ans et moins et gratuit pour les enfants de 12 ans et moins. L'admission dans les puits sera de 40$ pour les adultes et 25$ pour les 17 ans et moins.

WEST HAVEN, VT – Devil's Bowl Speedway is opening the vault for the Vermont 200 Championship Weekend on September 14-15. A base purse of more than $25,000 has been posted for the two-day stock car racing extravaganza, with the potential for it to grow to over $30,000.

The headline event is the 100-lap Vermont State Late Model Championship Series finale, boasting a payout starting at over $11,000. However, a graduated winner's incentive has been built into the prize fund: With up to 24 entries, the winner earns $1,500. If the field expands to 25-29 cars, top prize is $2,000. The fund grows to $2,500 with 30-39 teams, and a field of 40 or more entries makes the winner's share a whopping $5,000 – potentially the largest payoff in Devil's Bowl Speedway's recent history. All starters are guaranteed a minimum of $250, regardless of car count.

Twin 50-lap features for the Bond Auto Parts Modified division – which award points for the weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track championship and the new Northern Modified Challenge Series – each offer more than $5,000 total prize money. The winner of each race will pocket $1,200, and all starters will take home a minimum total of $200.

A two-segment, 40-lap race for the eight-cylinder Renegade division – which is expected to draw a record field of entries – pays $350 to win and a minimum of $50 to take the green flag. The 25-lap Central Vermont Motorcycles Mini Stock division finale offers $200 to the winner and at least $50 to every starter. A graduated purse for the 75-lap Enduro Series finale has also been announced, with a minimum of $350 to win for up to 24 entries, up to $1,500 to win with 50 cars or more.

Several bonuses have also been posted: A $125 Halfway Bonus will go to the driver who leads Lap 25 in each Modified race and Lap 50 of the Late Model finale, and Bond Auto Parts has posted a $50 "Hard Charger" prize for the driver who improves their position the most in the Renegade and Mini Stock features.

The Vermont 200 Championship Weekend is Devil's Bowl Speedway's final event of the year. Qualifying and special non-winner's "Shootout" races begin at 1:30pm on Saturday, Sept. 14, followed by a barbeque, live music, and bonfire. Championship events begin Sunday, Sept. 15 at 1:30pm. Admission is $10 on Saturday, $20 on Sunday, or $25 for a discount two-day ticket; admission is free for kids 12 and under both days. Free camping is open Friday through Monday.

5th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational Posts $7,500-to-Win

Waterbury, VT – When the forty-three American Canadian Tour Late Model teams hit the track at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 21 for the 5th annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational, they will battle for the $7,500 winner purse. It will be the most ever awarded to the victor and more than double the amount posted for the inaugural event back in 2009.

The early favorites to claim the top prize have to be the past winners on the “Magic Mile.” Veteran ACT competitor Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. of Hudson, NH earned the Invitational win back in 2010. He finished third in last year’s event and is currently the hottest driver on the 2013 American Canadian Tour. He has already earned three Tour wins this season plus captured the inaugural International 500 victory back in July. He has never finished outside the top ten in this event and with a win this year he could pocket over $9,000 after bonuses.

Two-time Bond Auto ACT Invitational winner Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA is always a favorite at NHMS. With a win in this year’s event, the “Outlaw” could pocket more money than he did in his previous two Invitational wins combined.

The most recent Invitational winner Ray Parent of Tiverton, RI pulled off the biggest surprise of the season last year when he dominated the 2012 edition. He could become the first ever back-to-back Bond Auto ACT Invitational winner.

The top prize could also go to a number of different drivers looking for their first Invitational wins. Quebec favorites from the Série ACT include current point leader Jean-François Déry, Alex Labbe, Dany Trepanier, Jonathan Bouvrette and Donald Theetge. From the US side of the border look out for the likes of current ACT point leader Wayne Helliwell, Jr., Jimmy Hebert, Jamie Fisher, Brian Hoar and most recent winner Travis Stearns among others.
