One month after the last event of his first complete season, with a strong 6th place standing in the Championship, the Quebecer, the Dumoulin Competition racing team and the partners conclude this season with positive results and are underway with the 2013 season preparations. |

Objectif de la saison 2012 : classement au championnat Si les années précédentes en série ont servi de tremplin au succès, notamment en remportant le titre de Recrue de l’année en 2011, celle-ci a revêtu une toute autre signification pour Louis-Philippe Dumoulin qui a su saisir les opportunités dès les premières épreuves en se positionnant dans le top-5 au championnat. Professionnalisme et persévérance : une équation performante Deux nouvelles voitures (Dodge Challenger n°47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare), une équipe mécanique et cinq circuits supplémentaires à apprivoiser (quatre ovales, un routier). Tous se sont mobilisés avec rapidité et efficacité afin d’optimiser la collaboration et atteindre les résultats escomptés. Louis-Philippe Dumoulin a été félicité à plusieurs reprises pour ses qualités de pilote et ses performances, notamment sur circuit ovale où il s’est révélé être un adversaire de taille également pour les vétérans et spécialistes sur ce type de piste. Trois avaries majeures sont survenues, dont deux lors d’épreuves sur circuits routiers qui ont coûté plusieurs points au championnat (voir encadré page 1). « Nous avons appris à travailler ensemble et, gagné le respect de nos adversaires. Malgré les bris mécaniques dans les plus grosses courses, nous avons réussi à nous battre avec les spécialistes de la série, avec les leaders qui participent au championnat depuis plusieurs années. Terminer en 6e position c’est très respectable et nos appuis sont pertinents pour la saison 2013 », explique Louis-Philippe Dumoulin. Professionalism and Perseverance: a performing equation Two new cars (Dodge Challenger n°47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare), a team of mechanics, and five new and additional circuits to master (four oval circuits, one road circuit). All team members mobilised themselves quickly and efficiently for an optimal collaboration to reach the expected results. Louis-Philippe Dumoulin was congratulated on several occasions for his distinctions as a driver and his performances, notably on oval circuits, where he revealed to be a significant contender for veterans and specialists on this type of circuit. Three major complications occurred during the season, two of which took place on road circuits and resulted in the loss of several championship points (see textbox on page 1). « We have learned to work together and earn the respect of our adversaries. Despite the mechanical complications during major events, we were able to contend against specialists in this series, amongst the leaders, which have been competing in the championship for several years. To finish in 6th position is very respectable, and the support is pertinent for the 2013 season », explains Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
