Le samedi 26 septembre, l'enfer sera à Vallée-Jonction

Un évènement s'ajoute à la programmation de la saison 2015 de l'Autodrome Chaudière 2014. En effet, le 26 septembre prochain, on pourra assister à un Enfer 200 tours commandités par Les Pièces d'Autos Fernand Bégin.

Pour cette course, les voitures de rues 4, 6 et 8 cylindres seront acceptées si elles respectent la règlementation qui sera mise en ligne à compter du 15 mars prochain. Il en coûtera 25$/voiture pour l'inscription et le prix d'entrée sera de 10$. De plus, des bourses seront remises aux 3 premiers d'un montant de 600$, 300$ et 100$. Tous sont les bienvenus; une seule catégorie regroupant les hommes, femmes et adolescents. L'objectif est d'établir un nouveau record sur asphalte à l'Autodrome Chaudière et de prendre le départ avec au moins 75 voitures!

Il est a noté que tous les participants devront venir accompagnés d'un marqueur et de plus, avoir en main un casque sécuritaire. Les formulaires d'inscription seront disponibles sur le site de l'Autodrome Chaudière, et ce à compter de la mi-mars. Aussi, si vous désirez réserver votre numéro, il vous faudra compléter l'inscription et faire le paiement afin que le tout soit confirmé. Une liste des inscrits à jour sera en ligne pour voir l'évolution des inscriptions sur notre site.

Early Entries Already Pouring In For 42 Annual Oxford 250

NAPLES, ME (February 12) – Entries have already started coming in for the 42nd Annual Oxford 250, slated for August 28-30at Maine's Oxford Plains Speedway. 21 drivers have already filed entries for the event with local drivers making up the majority of those entries. Early entries include Cassius Clark, the 2013 Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Model champion from Farmington, ME, who filed the first entry for the 2015 Oxford 250. Two-time defending Oxford 250 champion Travis Benjamin out of Morrill, ME will be attempting to pull off what only one other driver has ever done in the history of the Oxford 250 as he tries to win three back-to-back Oxford 250s. Benjamin will have plenty of competition with past 250 Champions Mike Rowe and Ben Rowe out of Turner, ME on the early entry list along with Six-time PASS North champion Johnny Clark as he tries to grab his first 250 Victory. Joey Doiron came out on top at the PASS North Championship Event at Oxford Plains Speedway in September and is always a tough competitor anywhere on the Pro All Stars Series circuit as he seeks his first 250 win. Glen Luce, also representing the town of Turner, ME, has filed his entry after some strong runs with the PASS North Series in 2014. Luce had a very strong car, but was involved in a hard crash during the 2014 Oxford 250 that took him out of competition early in the event…David Oliver out Standish, ME has also entered for the 2015 Oxford 250 he dominated the majority of the September PASS Race at Oxford Plains Speedway and ended up finishing second to Doiron after a hard fought battle in the closing laps.

Oxford Plains Speedway's weekly Super Late Model roster is also well represented on the entry list with multi-time track champion Tim Brackett entered along with three-time track Champion TJ Brackett as they try to add an Oxford 250 title to their impressive accomplishments at the speedway. Also hailing from the town of Buckfield, ME, the 2014 Budweiser Super Late Model Rookie-of-the-Year Kyle Treadwell has entered after qualifying for the 250 on his first attempt last year. Following a successful season in Street Stock division at Oxford Plains Speedway, Super Late Model rookie Spencer Morse has entered the Oxford 250 after getting a ride in the Oxford Hills Middle School Super Late Model.

New Hampshire also has some tough competition already entered including Bryan Kruczek from New Market, NH, the 2014 PASS Modified Champion Andy Shaw out of Center Conway, NH, along with the 2012 Oxford 250 Champion and 2014 American Canadian Tour Champion Joey Polewarczyk out of Hudson, NH.

This year's Oxford 250 is once again sure to host a slew America's Greatest Short Track Competitors along with plenty of hard charging Canadian's including Raphael Lessard as he makes his way down from Quebec to compete in the prestigious event.

The 2015 PASS season will get under way on Saturday, March 7 when the PASS South Super Late Models and PASS Pro Late Models take to Dillon Motor Speedway for the 10^th Annual South Carolina Clash. The PASS North Super Late Model season is slated to start on Saturday, April 18with the Ripley & Fletcher Ford 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Eddie MacDonald Completes the Sweep at New Smyrna

New Smyrna Beach, FL – Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA completed the sweep by winning all three American Canadian Tour events at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, FL. His third win in four days came on Wednesday, February 18 in the second 100-lap segment of the American Racer Challenge Cup. His two wins in the American Racer Challenge Cup segments earned him the overall Challenge Cup win.

MacDonald came from deep in the field after the inversion of Monday night's finish in the first segment. Two-time ACT Champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr. tried to play spoiler to MacDonald's perfect week as he led the way up through the field. The duo made it inside the top ten until Helliwell spun to bring out the second caution of the event on lap 28. MacDonald continued to work his way toward the front methodically, while Helliwell came tearing back through the field.

MacDonald made it inside the top five just after the halfway mark and Helliwell joined him with just thirty laps remaining. By the time the third caution flag of the event flew on lap 66, the pair were nose to tail inside the top five with defending ACT Champion Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. dogging their every move.

Early leaders Brad Babb and Keith Rocco remained in a battle for the lead on the lap 66 restart. As they fought side-by-side MacDonald made a three-wide move to take over the lead. Helliwell got caught in traffic for several more laps until he got around Babb to take over second with 11 laps to go. He set his sights on MacDonald's back bumper and started cutting into his lead. Helliwell did all he could to get to MacDonald, but ran out of time.

MacDonald crossed the finish line with Helliwell on his back bumper. Polewarczyk, Babb and Série ACT Champion Alex Labbe completed the top five in the segment. Keith Rocco, Daniel Descoste, Josh Demers, Rowland Robinson, Jr., and Ray Parent earned top tens in the segment.

Eddie MacDonald claimed the overall American Racer Challenge Cup win with two wins for two points. Wayne Helliwell, Jr. took second overall with two second place efforts for four points and Alex Labbe took third with a third and fifth place finish for eight points. Sophomore driver Josh Demers (5th, 8th – 13pts) and two-time Thunder Road Champion Nick Sweet (4^th, 11^th – 15pts) completed the top five overall. Keith Rocco (13^th, 6^th – 19pts), Ray Parent (11^th, 10^th – 21pts), Brad Babb (18^th, 4^th – 22 pts), Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. (21^st, 3^rd – 24 pts) and Brandon White (10^th, 14^th – 24 pts) completed the top ten.

The second leg of the American Racer Challenge Cup was completed with just four cautions in 44 minutes and 54 seconds. MacDonald edged Helliwell by .232 seconds.

That completes ACT's three events at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, FL. The stars of ACT will head back north and have a couple months off before starting their 2015 season at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH on Sunday, April 12.

New Smyrna Beach, FL – Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA claimed his second win in two nights of ACT competition at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, FL on Monday, August 16. MacDonald followed up his Sunday night win with another trip to victory lane in the first leg of the American Racer Challenge Cup. His second win, however, didn't come so easy.

Unlike Sunday night, MacDonald didn't earn the pole, lead every lap or even appear to have the fastest car of the race. He started in the third position and challenged pole sitter Patrick Laperle and outside pole Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. early in the event. Laperle led the way through the first 26 caution free laps, while Polewarczyk struggled and faded back with a tire going flat. Polewarczyk finally spun on lap 26 bringing out the first caution of the event.

That caution setup a six lap battle between Laperle and MacDonald in which they would swap the lead five times with MacDonald settling into the lead on lap 32. Aaron Fellows followed MacDonald by Laperle to take the second spot and quickly set his sights on MacDonald's rear bumper. Fellows worked the inside lane until finally making the move he needed to take over the point.

Fellows broke out to a comfortable lead with MacDonald hanging at a distance. Meanwhile, sophomore ACT Late Model competitor Josh Demers had an amazing battle with Laperle for over 30 laps. Demers eventually got the advantage and took over third.

It appeared to be smooth sailing for Fellows who arguably had the fastest car of the race until the fifth caution of the event flew on lap 86. That caution came for Laperle who wrecked hard in the turn one wall after being stuck in the outside of a three-wide. Fellows hung on to the lead through the next two restarts for two more cautions. MacDonald got the advantage on the lap 87 restart and Fellows fell back to second. Just two laps later the eighth and final caution flag flew when Fellows spun in turn two, while battling for second.

MacDonald held off Wayne Helliwell, Jr. on the final restart to claim his second win in two nights. Helliwell came from eighth to claim second and his second podium finish in two nights. Quebec's Alex Labbe had to change a motor between the last practice and the heat races and managed to still take third in the feature. Nick Sweet and Demers rounded out the top five. Pete Yetman, Donald Theetge, Travis Stearns, Fellows and Brandon White completed the top ten.

The 100 lap event saw eight cautions and was completed in one hour, six minutes and 18 seconds. There were seven lead changes among three drivers.

The American Canadian Tour wraps up its trip south with the 100 lap second leg of the American Racer Challenge Cup at New Smyrna Speedway on Tuesday, February 17. The top twenty finishers from Monday's event will be inverted for the start of Tuesday's race. The overall Challenge Cup winner will be decided based on the best two combined finishes from the Monday and Tuesday events.

New Smyrna Beach, FL – New Smyrna Speedway has postponed tonight's event due to rain. The second leg of the ACT American Racer Challenge Cup 100 will run tomorrow night(Wednesday, February 18) at 7:30pm.

Eddie MacDonald has swept the first two ACT events at New Smyrna Speedway and will look for his third win tomorrow night. Wayne Helliwell, Jr. will look to spoil his plans and claim the American Racer Challenge Cup overall win after claiming back-to-back podium finishes in the first two events. A total of 21 cars will take the green tomorrow night for the final ACT event at New Smyrna.

Nous sommes confiants que la saison 2015, en plus d'apporter son lot de nouveautés, sera conserver le standard de qualité élevé mis en place par M. Lagacéet M. Roberge lors des dernières saisons.

2015-02-16 - Hier avait lieu la première soirée de compétition pour les voitures LMS American-Canadian Tour à New Smyrna Speedway. Un 100 tours disputés sans aucune neutralisation, l'épreuve a été remportée par le Outlaw Eddie MacDonald qui était parti en tête de peloton. Mais c'est Patrick Laperle qui a donné le spectacle, parti de la 14^e position, il a terminé deuxième et meilleur des Québécois en piste. C'est Wayne Helliwell qui a terminé troisième.

« J'espérais une neutralisation. Eddie avait réussi à s'accumuler un bon coussin, moi j'ai hypothéqué mes pneus à me rendre à l'avant. Ça aurait été la seule chance de le challenger » nous a partagé Laperle après l'épreuve.

Journée difficile pour les autres québécois.

Alex Labbé termine 6^e après avoir pris le départ de l'extérieur de la première ligne. « La voiture n'allait pas bien. Je voulais conserver les pneus pour les derniers 30-40 tours. Mais je n'ai même pas pu faire cela. La voiture s'est dégradée beaucoup trop vite » nous a partagé le Champion canadien de l'ACT.

Daniel Decoste et Donald Theetge ont terminé respectivement 20 et 21. Une performance décevante pour les deux que nous sommes habituées de voir terminer dans les premiers. « On s'était amélioré toute la journée. Dans les épreuves de qualification, je croyais avoir la machine pour me battre avec les meneurs dans la finale malgré une 15^e position de départ. Mais la voiture était très difficile à conduire. J'étais sur la glace. Il en reste deux pour se reprendre » déclara Donald Theetge.

Brandon White a été victime d'une série de bris mécanique. D'abord une transmission en qualification, et problèmes électriques en finale.

Jean-Pierre Ouimet a été contraint à l'abandon après seulement 1 tour en piste des suites d'un problème d'alimentation d'essence.

Les pilotes reprennent la piste ce soir à 17hpour les courses de qualification.

Eddie MacDonald Goes Flag-to-Flag in Caution Free ACT Event

New Smyrna Beach, FL – "Outlaw" Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA led flag-to-flag in the caution free American Canadian Tour 100 at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, FL on Sunday, February 15. MacDonald earned the pole position after racing from 9^th to 2^nd in his heat race to give him a +7 in ACT's unique plus/minus handicap system.

MacDonald led the 26 car field to the green and held off defending Série ACT Champion Alex Labbe through the early stages of the event. He set a blistering pace, but couldn't shake Labbe, Travis Stearns and Wayne Helliwell, Jr. during the first half of the race.

Another Quebecer in Patrick Laperle challenged MacDonald through the second half of the race. Laperle marched from his 14^th starting postion to take over the second spot just past the halfway mark. He made it to MacDonald's back bumper, but couldn't make a move for the lead. He chased MacDonald through heavy lapped traffic and appeared to be in position to make a challenge on several occasions, but couldn't get it done.

MacDonald and Laperle took the checkered flag in the top two spots, while Helliwell made a last lap pass to claim third. Stearns ran up front throughout the event and claimed fourth, while defending ACT Champion Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. worked his way from the 16^th starting position to complete the top five. Labbe fell back to sixth followed by Aaron Fellows, Ray Parent, Luke Hinkley and Brad Babb rounding out the top ten.

The 100 lap event was completed caution free in 33 minutes and 42 seconds. A total of 23 of the 26 starters were on the track for the checkered flag. Only the top ten remained on the lead lap.

All 26 cars survived the first of three nights of American Canadian Tour racing at New Smyrna Speedway. Emily Packard will join the field tomorrow to bring the count up to 27. The first of two American Racer Challenge Cup 100 lap events will be run on Monday, February 16. Heat races will roll out at 7:30pm. The second and final American Racer Challenge Cup 100 will be run on Tuesday, February 17. Drivers will combine their two finishes in the American Racer Challenge Cup events on Monday and Tuesday to decide the overall Challenge Cup winner.

2015-02-14 - À moins de 24 heures le pilote de stock-car de Boischatel, Donald Theetge est febrile à l'idée de fouler à nouveau la piste de New Smyrna Speedway (New Smyrna, Floride) à une trentaine de minutes de Daytona.

Avec sa Mercedes-Benz St-Nicolas, numéro 80, Theetge prendra le départ dans trois courses de 100-tours. La première, dimanche le 15 février, en marge des deux autres qui elles compteront pour la Coupe American Racer (16 et 17 février) dan

s le cadre des 49^e World Series of Asphalt Stock Car competition.

« On revient à New Smyrna, un piste très rapide en raison de ses inclinaisons prononcées, avec l'objectif de bien performer et de s'amuser » déclara Donald. « J'ai terminé 10^e au cumulatif en 2011 et terminé respectivement 12^e et 10^e dans chacune des deux épreuves. J'ai la ferme intention de faire mieux ».

On compte 29 inscrit pour cette compétition qui marque le retour de ce genre de bolide après 4 années d'absence à la piste de New Smyrna, considérée le Mec du stock-car de courte piste. Dimanche, quand Donald, le groupe d'Américain et de quelques québécois (Labbé, Laperle, Ouimet), il le fera en présence ce soir là de la série NASCAR K&N qui prendront à leur tour à d'assaut le tracé de 0.5-mile.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL – Devil's Bowl Speedway may be buried under three feet of snow in chilly Vermont, but that won't stop three of its regular stock car competitors from firing their engines. Todd Stone, Emily Packard, and Brandon Atkins are ready to compete in the 49^th annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway during Florida Speedweeks,February 13-21, with both the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series and the American-Canadian Tour.

Stone, of Middlebury, VT, swept NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) championships last year in the open-wheel Florida Modified division at the World Series at New Smyrna and in the Bond Auto Parts Modifieds at Devil's Bowl, but moves to full-fender cars in 2015. His World Series ride is a G. Stone Motors-sponsored Ford Fusion for the Pro Late Model class, which has pre-registered entries from 11 states and three Canadian provinces, coast-to-coast. Stone said that practice sessions helped him learn his car's setup, and he posted top-10 lap times in final practice on Thursday.

"The Pro Late Model cars have bump-stop suspension, which is a lot different than the ACT Late Models my team raced years ago," Stone said. "There's a learning curve, but I think we're going to be pretty good. It's funny – there's a lot of young talent here with more experience in these cars, and I'm the grey haired guy just starting out. We just want to have some fun and get away from the snow back home."

Stone will race his Pro Late Model seven times in nine nights at New Smyrna, beginning his hunt for NWAAS Division II national championship points. When he returns north he will run the Central Vermont Motorcycles Late Model division at Devil's Bowl and is contemplating a part-time schedule in the Late Models at Airborne Park Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY – both of which also accumulate NWAAS Division II points.

Teenagers Emily Packard of East Montpelier, VT, and Brandon Atkins of Au Sable Forks, NY, will be among the 29 American-Canadian Tour (ACT) entries at New Smyrna for 100-lap events on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights. Packard finished third in 2014 Devil's Bowl Late Model standings with three wins, and fourth in ACT points, while Atkins is a former Devil's Bowl winner and was the 2014 ACT Rookie of the Year. The ACT Late Model Tour visits Devil's Bowl Speedway for the People's United Bank 100 onSaturday, June 6.

NAPLES, ME (February 13) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry and officials from New Hampshire Motor Speedway, along with Bob Guptill of the New England Mini Stock Tour (NEMST), announced today the addition of a historic Super Late Model event at the famed New England oval. PASS Super Late Models will tackle the 1-mile superspeedway for the first time ever on July 4-5. New Hampshire Motor Speedway will supplant North Carolina's .625 mile North Wilkesboro Speedway as the largest speedway the PASS Super Late Models have ever competed on. The PASS event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway becomes the fifth race announced of the 2015 PASS National Championship Series joining the Peach Blossom Special at Anderson (SC) Motor Speedway, the Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway, a 200 lapper at Plattsburgh, NY's Airborne Park Speedway, and the 42^nd Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains (ME) Speedway.

"We could not be more thrilled than to announce this historic partnership with the folks at New Hampshire Motor Speedway," said PASS President Tom Mayberry. "This event really came together in a short period of time, but we wanted to make sure our fans and competitors knew as soon as possible. We will have much more information about the race coming out within the next couple of weeks"

The race will likely be 50-75 laps long, with a final determination slated to come following a scheduled Hoosier Tire test for PASS at the speedway in May. In addition to being part of the PASS National Championship Series, the New Hampshire event will also be a PASS North Super Late Model points race as well. However, PASS North teams will now have the option to drop their lowest finish during the 2015 season.

Joining the PASS Super Late Models at New Hampshire Motor Speedway July 4 – 5 will be the NEMST Mini Stocks racing for 30 laps and a Super Sportsman race featuring "open" rules slated for 35 laps. All divisions will be allowed to practice on Saturday, July 4, with an additional practice session scheduled for Sunday, July 5. Racing action will get under way at 2 PM Sunday, July 5 with the PASS Super Late Models going green at approximately 4 PM.

Kasey Kahne Racing’s Pittman Wins Thriller at DIRTcar Nationals

BARBERVILLE, Fla. — Feb. 12, 2015 — Kasey Kahne Racing's Daryn Pittman edged Tony Stewart Racing's Donny Schatz in an epic UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car main event Thursday night at Volusia Speedway Park's DIRTcar Nationals.

David Stremme followed by dominating the DIRTcar UMP Modified nightcap, holding off Austin Dillon, Nick Hoffman, Ty Dillon and hard charger Kyle Strickler.

Pittman was out front of the sprint car feature before a couple of cautions with less than five laps to go gave Schatz, the six-time defending World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, a shot at running him down. Pittman went to the top, Schatz tried the bottom. They came off of turn four side-by-side the final three laps of the race. Pittman had just enough momentum on the high side of the half-mile dirt oval to slip in front at the checkered flag for KKR's first victory of the year.

"If the fans didn't enjoy that, you might as well not even bother come back," said Pittman, who won the 2013 World of Outlaws Sprint Car championship. "I've got to thank my guys. [Crew chief] Kale [Kahne], I didn't believe him. He kept telling me to run the top down there, and I'm sitting there second-guessing, going I don't know if that's a good move or not. We just stuck with it and glad that we stuck with our line and won it that way. Hats off to Donny, he's one of the cleanest there is. He could have definitely used me up on the backstretch there. He raced me clean and I try to feel like we do the same thing back. It's hard when you're battling for wins to not feel like you used up every bit of the racetrack to get there. Big win to get the year started off right. Hopefully we can come back in the next three nights and get another one."

Stremme, who also competes in NASCAR, started on the outside of the front row for the UMP Modified feature and charged to the front and stayed there, winning for the first time at Volusia Speedway Park. Austin Dillon, Hoffman and Ty Dillon ran a similar line trying to run down Stremme but to no avail. Strickler, who won on Wednesday night at Volusia, came from 19th to round out the top five in what might have been the most impressive run in the UMP Modified event.

"First and foremost we had a really great starting spot," Stremme said. "It was really hard to pass and I was screwing up there. I haven't raced without the spoilers. It's a little different. We had to tune our car a little bit different but it was fun. It was slick, that's how I like it. I knew Austin and those guys were there, they are tough. I've watched them year after down here. Same with Nick and Kyle and Kenny Wallace and Schrader and all them guys. It's really Kenny Wallace's fault that I got into this dirt racing but I love it … I think I got barely 50 dirt races under my belt in four years so it's really hard to come down here and win this. It's pretty big."

Nightly doubleheaders at Volusia run Friday through Saturday, Feb. 21. On Friday night the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series makes its season debut along with the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds.

King Autosport engage 2 voitures à Daytona

Le pilote et chef d'équipe de King Autosport, le Beauceron de souche Mario Gosselin, remplacera Martin Roy, premier pilote de l'équipe mais blessé à une épaule, au volant de la Chevrolet no. 90 de l'équipe québécoise lors de l'ouverture de la saison NASCAR XFinity à Daytona Beach le 21 févrierprochain. Cette participation marquera le lancement de la première saison complète entreprise dans une série NASCAR de haut niveau par une équipe québécoise.

Montréal, le 12 février 2015 – Établi en Floride depuis plusieurs années et partenaire de Martin Roy chez King Autosport, Gosselin partage son temps entre la construction et la préparation de stock car pour les diverses séries NASCAR, ARCA et autres, en plus de piloter dans diverses séries, se bâtissant ainsi une solide réputation dans le milieu des courses aux plus hauts niveaux. Le vétéran pilote est plus qu'heureux de revenir en piste : « Je suis d'abord et avant tout un pilote, et encore trop jeune pour accrocher mon casque. Revenir à Daytona, une piste que je connais bien, sur une voiture que j'ai préparée, me donne l'occasion de vraiment bien faire devant un gros public – une chance à ne pas manquer ! »

King Autosport a inscrit la no. 90 dans les 33 courses au calendrier XFinity 2015, une première pour une équipe québécoise. Mario Gosselin, partenaire de Martin Roy dans cette folle entreprise, préparera les voitures dans les ateliers situés près d'Orlando, Floride. Une seconde voiture sera aussi en piste lors de certaines courses clés, comme à Daytona par exemple, alors que le vétéran de la série Sprint Dexter Bean est prévu au volant de la no. 92. On attend naturellement le retour en piste de Martin vers la mi-saison. Il pilotera alors sa no. 90 habituelle alors que d'autres pilotes avec les budgets nécessaires se partageront les volants au fil de la saison. Selon le pilote de Napierville, le défi est de taille. « Nous comprenons l'ampleur du projet et l'importance des budgets requis. Mario et moi somme des hommes de passion mais aussi d'affaire, et avons mis en branle un plan qui nous permettra de réussir et faire notre place en NASCAR. »

L'équipe King Autosport sera aussi en piste pour toutes les épreuves de la série Canadian Tire, alors que le même Mario Gosselin agira comme préparateur et chef d'équipe de la Chevrolet WeatherTech no. 47, championne en 2014 aux mains de Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.

L'équipe pourrait ajouter une seconde voiture en Canadian Tire, selon la disponibilité de budgets de la part d'un pilote chevronné. Au fil des années, King Autosport a aussi préparé des voitures de premier plan dans la même série pour Martin Roy (recrue de l'année en 2012 et quatrième au final en 2013), et le jeune et rapide Alex Guénette.

Pour sa part, Gosselin sait prendre les bouchées doubles : « Martin et moi avons planifié notre saison avec un réaliste frugal mais surtout efficace. Je suis prêt à travailler très fort pour que tout se réalise. Ma motivation est au maximum, surtout avec un retour au pilotage comme bonus. »

Les deux voitures King seront en piste à Daytona vendredi le 20 février pour des essais, puis le 21 pour la qualification et la course XFinity lancée à 15h30 et diffusée en direct sur RDS2.
