Waterbury, VT – The American Racer Three Star program is designed to recognize three non-podium teams in no particular order of performance that had outstanding races at American-Canadian Tour (ACT) U.S. Tour and select ACT-sanctioned events. There are no specific criteria for deciding who might receive the award of a free American Racer tire (value $125.00), but a special effort by a team, exceptional race, just plain old hard luck, or any other accepted reason is used to decide the award recipients.

The Three Stars are chosen by ACT officials and will receive certificates for use of a free American Racer tire at an ACT event.

THUNDER ROAD SPEEDBOWL

53^rd NORTHFIELD SAVINGS BANK MILK BOWL

The 53^rd Vermont Milk Bowl will be remembered for one of the great comeback wins in event history. 2013 Milk Bowl Champion Nick Sweet of Barre, VT entered the third and final 50-lap segment trailing three-time defending "King of the Road" Derrick O'Donnell of N. Haverhill, NH by five points. Both drivers marched through the field, and when a caution came out on lap 37, Sweet was seventh to O'Donnell's eleventh. Sweet then put the power down, sailing around the outside and taking the lead on a lap-43 restart. Meanwhile O'Donnell got bottled in traffic and could muster only a seventh-place finish in the segment, giving Sweet the overall win by one point and sending the crowd into delirium.

Behind the two heavyweights the intrigue was just as thick. An eight-car pile-up on the third lap of Segment 2 eliminated or crippled several contenders and opened the door for multiple surprise runs. Meanwhile, the event's unique three-segment format allowed drivers to overcome poor qualifying efforts or tough individual segments and emerge with a solid result. After considering numerous candidates, the American Racer Three Stars of the 53^rd Milk Bowl are:

*Jim Morris, Barre, VT – #13VT – There may be no driver who passed more cars on Milk Bowl weekend than Jim "Boomer" Morris. Boomer returned to Thunder Road after rebuilding his Late Model following a Labor Day crash and was moving up in his Triple 50 qualifier on Saturday before being sent to the rear for an incident with Brandon Atkins – one the Atkins team later took full responsibility for. Rather than sulk over his misfortune, Morris charged back to seventh, positioning himself to eventually win the last chance "B-Feature" on Sunday and start 27^th in the Milk Bowl.

After getting a mid-pack result in Segment 1, Morris shined in Segment 2, patiently getting to the front and edging out Mike Bailey for the win. He was moving up again in Segment 3 and seemed destined for an overall top-10. But two late incidents – including one at the white flag – dropped him to 14^th in the final tally. Nonetheless, the Greg Lee Motorsports team deserves a Star Award for fighting through adversity and proving they belong on ACT's biggest stage.

*Mike Bailey, S. Barre, VT – #00VT – Mike "Beetle" Bailey is the definition of a local racer, living less than one mile from Thunder Road. He entered the Milk Bowl coming off his best season in a Thunder Road Late Model, finishing ninth in the final point standings. After a solid time-trial effort, an incident in his Triple 50 qualifier relegated Bailey to the 23^rd starting position. The Union Mutual team then struggled in Segment 1 and could not advance.

But the Segment 2 invert gave Bailey's Milk Bowl effort new life. Bailey led the first 49 laps before getting nipped at the finish line by Boomer Morris. He then climbed to the top half of the field in the third and final segment, giving him a respectable 11^th place in the overall. And thanks to the lap money from leading the most laps, the low-dollar team will take home a sizeable paycheck from the event. A Star Award goes to the local driver who always has a smile and a joke ready but holds his own behind the wheel.

*Scott Dragon, Milton, VT – #16VT – Scott Dragon had a stellar season in the Richard Green Trucking Chevrolet, beginning the year with three straight podium finishes and placing fourth in points. He entered the Milk Bowl with high hopes of joining his father Bobby, uncle Beaver, and cousin Brent as Milk Bowl winners. But when Jason Allen got turned around in front of the field early in the second segment, Dragon was one of the drivers with nowhere to go, and he ended the melee on top of Jimmy Hebert's hood.

Dragon continued on and was clearly still fast, but kept getting mired in traffic, which was exacerbated by a further back-and-forth with Hebert late in the segment. His subsequent 16^th-place finish took him out of serious overall contention. But Dragon persevered, driving to a fourth-place result in Segment 3, which gave him a solid eighth in the final rundown. It wasn't the result the team was hoping for, but they receive a Star Award for overcoming a tough second segment and making the best they could of their day.

The ACT Late Model Tour closes out their season Saturday, October 17 at Thompson Speedway's Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing powered by XtraMart. The World Series 100 will crown the 2015 ACT U.S. Champion and will be broadcast live on FansChoice.TV. ACT qualifying is at 2:15pm with features for all divisions beginning at approximately 5:00pm.

RUTLAND, VT – Devil's Bowl Speedway wants to hear from the region's grassroots stock car racers. Management from the Vermont facility will host and moderate an open-discussion informational meeting at the Holiday Inn Rutland/Killington in Rutland, VT on Friday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m. Participants in all divisions of racing on both asphalt and dirt are invited and encouraged to attend the meeting.

Devil's Bowl Speedway will host its landmark 50^th season of stock car racing in 2016 and is seeking input from all participants. The track will again host racing on its 1/2-mile asphalt oval and is planning for an expanded schedule on its 3/10-mile clay infield oval. While many plans for the coming year are already in motion, owner/promoter Mike Bruno is seeking feedback and suggestions from all racers.

NAPA Super DIRT Week Sportsman Modified Winner Found in Violation of Rules During Post-Event Inspection

Victory awarded to race's runner-up Rocky Warner

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Oct. 13, 2015 – The DIRTcar Sportsman Modified driven by James Michael Friesen in Sunday's DIRTcar Sportsman Modified feature event at NAPA Super DIRT Week was found to be in violation of DIRTcar rules.

The car was disqualified for violating DIRTcar Rule 15.1, which prohibits alterations to the Chevrolet Performance engine, including tampering with seals.

The penalty includes the loss of points and earnings from Sunday's race, and awards Rocky Warner with the victory.

Friesen is suspended from DIRTcar competition for 12 months and may apply for reinstatement on Oct. 11, 2016. Section 12 of the DIRTcar Rulebook allows the right to appeal the decision.

Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) makes its long-awaited return to Connecticut's Thompson Speedway thisSaturday, October 17 for the World Series 100. Dover, NH's Wayne Helliwell Jr. will look to secure his third ACT Tour Championship in the season finale as part of the Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing presented by XtraMart.

Helliwell and his Bruce Bernhardt–owned team hold a 42-point lead over rival Joey Polewarczyk Jr. Their title bid will be broadcast live on FansChoice.TV worldwide.

"I think we're going to treat this race like we normally do," Helliwell said. "When you try to overthink things or change the way you do things, that's when things go wrong. As long as we do our homework and cross our T's and dot our I's at the shop, hopefully things will go alright.

"The broadcast is a really good thing," he added. "We've got family all across the U.S., and they really enjoyed the TV time we had down in Florida (at New Smyrna Speedway). I've already got the phone calls out, and they're all excited. They feel like they'll be a part of it."

Plenty is left to be decided in the ACT Tour standings in the season finale. Windham, ME's Brad Babb looks to secure third place in points, while fellow Mainer Jeff White leads a tight battle for fourth with Vermont's Emily Packard and New York's Brandon Atkins. Kyle Welch, Rowland Robinson Jr., Jimmy Hebert, and top rookie Rich Dubeau all hope to finish the year strong.

The World Series 100 is the ACT Late Model Tour's inaugural trip to the fast 5/8-mile speedway. ACT last visited the track in 1992 with the former Pro Stock Tour. It will also be ACT's first event in Connecticut since the 2010 season finale at Waterford Speedbowl.

"I think it's great ACT is coming back," Helliwell said. "Bruce and I have been saying for years that it would benefit the Tour and everybody if we could get back down to the Waterfords, and the Thompsons, and even Stafford. That area's fan base is really, really big. I know it's Modified country, but I think if we can put on some shows like we do at Loudon and other tracks, we'd win over a lot of fans."

The Tour regulars will also be joined by longtime ACT standouts such as Williston, VT's Brian Hoar and Rowley, MA's Eddie MacDonald. Hoar earned his record 41^st ACT Tour win in the Fall Foliage 200 at Airborne Park Speedway earlier this month, while MacDonald scored his fourth Bond Auto ACT Invitational win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September.

A number of Thompson Speedway Late Model regulars will also take on the ACT standouts. Thompson point leader Brian Tagg of Oxford, MA was a regular on the ACT Tour in 2014 and will try to defend his home track. Wallingford, CT's Jeff Rocco earned a guaranteed starting spot by winning the Late Model 20/20 Sprint in July. 2014 Most Improved Driver Jared Materas has also entered the event.

The World Series 100 for the ACT Tour is Saturday, October 17. ACT qualifying begins at 2:15pm with features for all divisions starting at approximately 5:00pm. ACT will also hold open practice on Friday, October 16.

NASCAR Announces Base 2016 Rules Package

Rules Developed from Continuous Collaboration with the Industry

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 14, 2015) – NASCAR announced today the base NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rules package to be used during the 2016 season. The package was delivered to teams after an extensive collaborative process between NASCAR and industry stakeholders.

The base package will include a 3.5-inch spoiler, a 0.25-inch front leading splitter edge and a 33-inch wide radiator pan. These components will provide lower downforce on the cars, and Goodyear will develop tires to complement them. Earlier this season, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Kentucky Speedway and Darlington Raceway featured a similar aero package.

"NASCAR has worked tirelessly with our teams, drivers, manufacturers and Goodyear to develop a rules package that provides fans with the best racing possible," said Steve O'Donnell, NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing development officer. "The success of the races at Kentucky and Darlington in similar trim proved extremely valuable in accelerating rules development for 2016. Now, as teams have even more time to prepare and a strong baseline of data, we anticipate the racing to be even better."

Characteristics of the lower downforce rules package includes more off-throttle time for drivers and decreasing corner speeds. This generates more passing zones over the entire track, and allows for multiple tire combinations to be levered.

In addition to the base package, each track will continue to feature specific rules, including tire combinations and drive train configurations, to create the best racing for each track length, layout and surface. Rear gear ratios will be adjusted to maintain a maximum engine speed of 9,000 RPM and a 1.38 third gear ratio will be used at all tracks smaller than 1.25 miles. The digital dashboard, which was optional for teams during the second half of this season, will be mandatory in all vehicles.

"Our team at the NASCAR R&D Center is constantly looking at the racing, and evaluating ways to continue to improve it," O'Donnell said. "Using science and technology and qualitative data compiled from world-class engineers throughout the industry as our guideposts, we will always look to make the racing better for our fans."

Several safety updates have been instituted, including a double NACA duct where a right-hand side window is used, a fire suppression system activation cable routed to the dash or right-hand side leg board and a seat belt restraint system that meets SFI 16.6 specification.

Rob Yetman three-peats at Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- October 11, 2015 – Polesitter Rob Yetman of Castleton, N.Y., won the DIRTcar NE Pro Stock 25-lap feature at the New York State Fairgrounds Sunday.

Yetman's third straight Super DIRT Week victory – a $2,000 triumph, was hotly contested by Francois Adam of St. Pie, Quebec.

Adam was able to sneak ahead of Yetman to lead lap 24, but Yetman stayed on Adam's outside through turns one and two and used a lapped car as a pick off the second corner to regain command.

Adam fell short of hitting paydirt in his fifth career event appearance. His runner-up performance was his third straight top-five finish after placing fourth in 2013 and fifth in '14.

Glenn Forward of Morrisville, N.Y., the 2015 Utica-Rome Speedway Pro-Stock champion, finished third. Forward, who was the 2014 runner-up, started eighth on the grid.

Yetman drove the Lazzaro's Auto Body/Prestige Sealcoating No. 7 for car owner Joe Lazzaro.

"He is always at his fastest here," Adam said of Yetman. "I was able to catch and pass him, but the lapped cars were trouble for me. I got blocked in turns 1 and 2 and he got by me."

Jay Corbin started ninth and placed fourth. Dave Bissonette completed the top five.

PASS National Championship To Be Decided At Greenville-Pickens

CHARLOTTE, NC (October 13) – Although three races remain in the 2015 Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model schedule, the PASS National Championship Series will be decided next weekend at Greenville-Pickens Speedway. With the return of "The Howler" to the legendary upstate South Carolina speedway, three drivers come into the weekend separated by just a handful of points. Points leader Joey Doiron leads 3-Time PASS National Champion, Ben Rowe, and Tate Fogleman by a total of 22 points as they head to Greenville-Pickens Speedway competing for Super Late Model racing's only true national championship.

In addition to being a regular contender for the PASS North championship over recent years, Doiron has made 9 PASS South Super Late Model starts during the last two years, including a start at Greenville-Pickens Speedway driving for Dicky Woodman in March, 2014. The Berwick, ME native hopes that experience racing on the flat half-mile will help to propel him to his first PASS National Championship.

"I just think it's another race, we're obviously going there to try and win, that's the goal every week," said Doiron, driver of the JBJ Machine #73 Chevrolet. "I learned a lot about the extreme tire wear, but this year running my own car, I think we'll be a little bit better knowing what we need for a feel as far as making the car last the whole race."

Ben Rowe's stats in PASS are pretty much unmatched. The Turner, ME driver is the All-Time Win's leader, a 4-Time PASS North Super Late Model Champion, and even won the PASS South title in 2009. As he seeks his unprecedented 4^th PASS National title, Rowe once again finds himself in a tight battle. Last year, Rowe managed to take the championship over Tyler Dippel thanks to a podium finish in the Mason-Dixon Meltdown. This year, Rowe returns to the upstate for the first time since a PASS National win in March at neighboring Anderson Motor Speedway.

"Greenville is fast, old, and wore out which always puts on a great race," says Rowe, driver of the Richard Moody & Sons Construction #4 Toyota. "I think we have had some good runs there, so hopefully we can continue that and get out of the slump we're in. We'll see how the points fall at the end of the night."

For the third straight year, Durham, NC's Tate Fogleman has a shot at the PASS National Championship as the series comes to Greenville-Pickens. Fogleman led the points as the race for the title made its Northern swing, but a blown power steering line at Airborne Park Speedway while running third and a late-race accident in the 42^nd Annual Oxford 250 have caused him to slip to third. The third generation driver hopes the finale coming in the South will allow him to come from behind and join his father, Jay, as a PASS National Champion.

"We are in contention again for the national championship heading into the last race at Greenville and we're excited about that," said Fogleman, driver of the Fogleman Landfill & Recycling #8 Ford. "It's been a tight battle all year, we've been in the lead with a cushion and have also had our lows. We have fought hard and given it our all this year and hopefully we can cap it off with the championship."

Action begins on Friday, October 23 at Greenville-Pickens Speedway with rotating practice from 3-6 PM. On Saturday, October 24pit gates open at 11:30 AM, followed by rotating practice from 1:30-4 PM, and qualifying at 4:30 PM. Main event racing goes green at 6 PM for the PASS Pro Late Models, Front Wheel Drives, Renegades, and 125 laps in "The Howler" for the PASS Super Late Models. Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park have announced the ACT World Series 100 at Thompson Speedway on Saturday, October 17 will be broadcast live on FansChoice.TV. Viewers around the world now have the opportunity to view the ACT Late Model Tour season finale held as part of Thompson's annual Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing presented by XtraMart.

FansChoice will provide live online single-camera streaming coverage paired with live public address audio of select touring and weekly series events at the 5/8-mile speedway. The service previously broadcast the ACT American Racer Challenge Cup at Florida's New Smyrna Speedway in February.

"Over the years, the Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing, presented by XtraMart has become one of the nation's premier events," Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park General Manager Josh Vanada said. "We are glad to partner with FansChoice to bring the event worldwide."

Barre, VT – Thunder Road rivals Derrick O'Donnell of N. Haverhill, NH and Barre's Nick Sweet will lead the field to the green flag in Segment 1 of the 53^rd Northfield Savings Bank Milk Bowl on Sunday, October 11.

Three-time defending "King of the Road" O'Donnell topped a field of 47 challengers in Booth Bros./H.P. Hood Time Trials with a fast lap of 13.229 seconds to take the pole. 2013 Milk Bowl Champion Sweet was right on his heels with a lap of 13.249 seconds and will start outside the front row.

Barre's Cody Blake was third-fastest, completing a sweep of the top-three starting positions by the three top drivers in the final 2015 Thunder Road Late Model standings. The top 27 cars were separated by just 3/10 of a second.

Multi-time Thunder Road winner Jason Corliss won the first "Triple 50" qualifier after coming out on top of a thrilling three-way battle with Brian Hoar and Eddie MacDonald. American-Canadian Tour (ACT) point leader Wayne Helliwell Jr. took the second Triple 50 and Merchants Bank 150 winner Brad Babb captured the third qualifier.

The Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen and Allen Lumber Street Stocks held Segment 1 of their Mini Milk Bowls. Middlesex's Shawn Fleury won the pole in Tiger Sportsman time trials and held off a race-long challenge from Craftsbury Cmn.'s Mike Martin to triumph in Segment 1. Doug Crowningshield finished third with 2015 Tiger Champion Brendan Moodie and Cameron Ouellette completing the top-five.

Whitefield, NH's Ben Belanger emerged on top of a rough-and-tumble Street Stock Segment 1. Belanger fended off West Burke's Mike Smith and Essex Jct.'s Matthew Smith for the win. Marcel J. Gravel and Jennifer Getty finished fourth and fifth.

The Last Chance "B" Feature for the 53^rdNorthfield Savings Bank Milk Bowl rolls to the grid at 12:15pm on Sunday, October 11 with just the top-two finishers guaranteed a Milk Bowl starting spot. Opening ceremonies will follow at 1:00pm. Single-day admission is $25 for adults and free for kids age 12 and under.

Communiqué fin de saison PASS North - Raphael Lessard

C'est ce dimanche 04 octobre 2015, que ce tenait le dernier programme de la Série Pass North à Oxford Plains Speedway Me.

À bord de la voiture #71 aux couleurs de FRL Express et supporté par l'équipe David Gilliland Racing, Raphaël était prêt pour ces 150 tours.

Après une journée de test en Ohio sur la piste de Columbus Motor Speedway, l'équipe est arrivée confiante pour le programme. Les pratiques du samedi se sont bien déroulées; les temps étaient satisfaisants.

La journée du dimanche fut plus difficile. La voiture se dégradait rapidement même en pratique. Partie en 6^e position lors de la séance de qualification et se battant avec une voiture instable, c'est en 10^e position que Raphaël a terminé la qualification ce qui l'amena à devoir participer à la finale consolation.

Les résultats de cette finale ne furent pas meilleurs. La voiture ne répondait pas bien et les efforts de Raphaël pour performer n'auront pu être récompensés.

Heureusement, grâce à sa participation assidue au programme PASS North, Raphaël a pris le départ en 31^e position en ayant accès à la course par la place provisionnelle.

En début de programme, suite à des ajustements faits, la voiture #71 était plus stable et rapide ce qui a permis à notre pilote de monter jusqu'à la 13^e position évitant deux incidents de course. Malheureusement, la voiture s'est dégradée en cours de programme et c'est en 20e position que Raphaël termine la finale.

Bilan de saison

Pour sa première saison 2015, c'est en 7^e position au championnat PASS North que Raphaël Lessard termine la saison. Nous pouvons être fiers de plusieurs belles réalisations. À sa première course de la saison en avril, sur le tracé d'Oxford Plains Speedway Me, Raphaël est parvenu à se qualifier, et ce devant plusieurs autres pilotes d'expérience.

Il a réalisé deux 6^e position à l'Autodrome Chaudière de Vallée-Jonction dont une qui restera à jamais gravé dans nos mémoires alors qu'il a livré une chaude lutte à la vedette Nascar le # 11 Denny Hamlin.

En 15 programmes avec la série PASS North, Raphaël a réalisé 3 top 10 et aura su gagner le respect des autres pilotes de la classe.

Nous tenons à remercier sincèrement chacune des personnes qui se sont impliquées auprès de l'équipe tout au long de la saison. Une saison d'apprentissage qui aura confirmé la capacité d'adaptation exceptionnelle de Raphaël ainsi que son talent de pilotage.

Même s'il a tenu la première place du classement pendant une bonne partie de la saison c'est seulement samedi dernier que le pilote de St-Édouard a officialisé son titre de champion de la série ACT propulsée par Carbopoxy de Techniseal.

Être constant, être toujours aux avants postes et éviter les ennuis ont été la clé de son succès.

Selon ses dires : le haut fait d'armes a été le début de la saison. Six podiums consécutifs lui ont donné l'élan nécessaire pour garder la tête du classement''

Il y a de grands noms du stock car québécois et américain dans la liste des champions ACT. Samedi passé, Dany Trépanier est passé à l'histoire : ''Je tiens à remercier tous les commanditaires qui m'ont supporté au fil des années et surtout ceux qui sont présents avec moi cette saison. Sans vous, ce championnat n'aurait pas été possible''

Pour Crazy Horse Racing, constructeur de la voiture, il s'agit d'un premier championnat ACT depuis 2009.

Le niveau de compétition dans la série ACT Carbopoxy a été TRES élevé cette saison. Plus de 40 pilotes québécois ont participé à la série et plus de 15 américains sont venus ''north of the border'' pour compétitionner avec l'élite du stock car québécois.

Jean-Francois Déry et Jonathan Bouvrette ont terminé deuxième et troisième au classement. Nous reviendrons sur leur saison lors d'un prochain communiqué mais pour l'instant, à tout Seigneur, tout honneur :

PASS Announces 2016 Dates For East Carolina, Concord, And Caraway

CHARLOTTE, NC (October 9) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry announced the addition of four more dates to the 2016 PASS South Super Late Model schedule today. Caraway Speedway returns to the PASS South schedule and will host a major event there on Saturday, April 16, 2016. The following week, East Carolina Motor Speedway in Robersonville, NC will host the series for the first time ever on Saturday night, April 23, 2016. And, after ending a nearly 2 ½ year hiatus this year, Concord Speedway will once again kickoff a huge Memorial Day weekend of action by hosting the PASS South Super Late Models on Friday night, May 27, 2016. Additionally, North-South Shootout promoters Darren and Renee Hackett are pleased to announce that it will be back at Concord Speedway on Friday and Saturday, November 4-5, 2016 and that the PASS South Super Late Models will join the Tour-type Modifieds in headlining the event.

The dates at Caraway, East Carolina, and Concord will join previously announced PASS South events on the 2016 schedule, including the South Carolina Clash at Dillon Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 5, 2016 and the 11^th Annual Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 26, 2016.

"We're very excited to announce four more great events for 2016 at Caraway, East Carolina, and Concord," said PASS President Tom Mayberry. "We believe East Carolina will be a perfect addition to the PASS family of tracks for 2016 and can build on the momentum of a strong race at Caraway the week prior. Our return to Concord this year for the Memorial Day race was a great success. We are equally as excited to be a part of the North-South Shootout's homecoming at Concord this November and beyond. Our races there next year will insure more great short racing action for the foreseeable future at the Concord Speedway half-mile."

Concord Speedway was known throughout the country for hosting the legendary Big 10 Series, which featured what eventually became known as the Super Late Model division. PASS competed at Concord Speedway from 2007-2012 and returned this year for the Old Glory 125 in May, which was won by Zane Smith. This year's winner of the North-South Shootout at Concord in November will be awarded a guaranteed starting spot for the most prestigious Super Late Model event in the county, the 43^rd Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway. With their return to Concord Speedway on Memorial Day Weekend 2016, PASS once again will be a part of the biggest racing weekend of the year, not only in the Charlotte area, but in the entire United States.

Caraway Speedway first hosted the PASS South Super Late Models back in 2008. Since then, PASS has raced there 6 more times, including a thriller this year won by Jared Fryar. In 2012, Darren and Renee Hackett invited PASS to be a part of the prestigious North-South Shootout at Caraway Speedway and it has seen an impressive list of winners which includes Jay Fogleman, Ben Rowe, and Ryan Moore. Over the next two years, PASS will continue their involvement with the Hackett family as the event moves back to Concord Speedway.

"We are very glad to continue our relationship with what we believe is the premier Super Late Model series in the nation," said North-South Shootout promoter, Renee Hackett. "Tom [Mayberry] and his staff have always been great to work with and we are so glad that we can build on what we have done together at Caraway and, at the same time, tackle a new adventure together at Concord."

Under the leadership of the Perry family, East Carolina Motor Speedway has become one of the premier facilities in eastern North Carolina. While the tricky 3/8 mile, D-shaped speedway will be hosting PASS for the first time in 2016, it will not be the first time Super Late Models have raced there. Throughout the 1980's and 1990's, East Carolina was well known for featuring what was then known as the Late Model Sportsman division.

"East Carolina Motor Speedway is excited to welcome the PASS South Super Late Models to our track in 2016," said East Carolina Motor Speedway promoter, John Vick. "Our fans have been asking for these guys to come to our track and we can't wait to have them here next April."

Much of the 2016 PASS schedules has been completed and will be announced in the coming weeks as dates are finalized. PASS has also recently announced that the biggest short track race on asphalt, the 43^rd Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Maine will take the green on Sunday, August 28, 2016, paying $25,000 to the winner plus lap leader bonus money.
