22 RACING ENJOYS SUCCESSFUL TORONTO WEEKEND

July 16, 2017: The biggest event on the 2017 NASCAR Pinty's Series schedule, the Pinty's Grand Prix of Toronto is now in the books and it was a considered a successful one by 22 Racing.

Friday started out with qualifying and the 22 Racing teams didn't disappoint. Alex Tagliani in the #18 EpiPen/Lowes Canada/St-Huberts Dodge topped the charts with Marc Antoine Camirand in the #22 GM Paille Chevrolet following in 3^rd and Adam Andretti in the #44 Engineering Components/Anchor Bolt & Screw Dodge posting the 4^th quickest time.

The teams then went to work preparing all three cars for qualifying later in the afternoon. NASCAR deemed there to be three qualifying groups and all three team cars were in the final and quickest group set by practice times earlier in the day. When the dust settled the three teams were again all in the top 5 with Tagliani leading the way in 2^nd, Andretti 4^th and Camirand 5^th.

After having contact with the wall in the final stages of qualifying, Andretti's team and the rest of the 22 Racing crews went to work to fix the #44 entry. It took all hands-on deck but they were able to make the necessary repairs for Saturdays Pinty's Grand Prix.

Due to a late arrival for the drivers meeting Andretti was penalized and moved to the rear of the starting field for the 35-lap event but mot to be deterred Andretti took the challenge to heart.

At the drop of the green Tagliani was immediately on the bumper of Ranger and unfortunately early contact sent Tagliani to the pits for a drive through penalty for aggressive driving. Not to be deterred he returned to the track in 5^th position. By lap seven Camirand had moved his #22 Chevy into second position and #44 Andretti was picking off competitors and moving up through the field. Shortly thereafter Andretti was forced to the pits with a flat tire under green flag conditions. By the half way mark Camirand was still strongly in 2^ndwith a good lead over Tagliani in 3^rdand Andretti had worked his way forward for the second time and was being scored in 8^th. With around 10 to go Tagliani slowed on the track and a track bar failure was determined to be the cause. He was able to stay on track and do slow laps but his hopes for a good finish were done. Shortly thereafter Camirand while trying to find a way to get around Lacroix for the lead brushed the wall and then headed for the pits and his day was done. In the meantime, Andretti was slowing picking off his competitors and when the green flag flew for the final restart he was in fourth. Andretti made quick work of passing Labbe for 3^rd but in his own words later he had used up the car pretty good coming from the back twice. Final finishes #44 Andretti in third, #18 Tagliani in 14^th and #22 Camirand in 16^th.

"Wow" said Andretti after the race. "Unfortunately it was my mistake that put us to the tail and I really hate that for 22 Racing after they thrashed so hard to get the car perfect after our mishap in qualifying. We started at the back of the field and we had fought hard to get about half way through the pack and had a right rear tire go flat under green. We caught a great break on getting a caution right away afterwards but firstly the pit stop was lightning fast – I wasn't even ready to go. I was fully expecting to go a lap down but we got back out and the caution flew soon after getting us caught up to the back of the field again. We just had to put our heads down and put all our back luck behind us and then the good luck started to come. I can't say enough about the NASCAR Pinty's Series and the racing and its competitors and the 22 Racing team and all their supporters and sponsors that make it possible. It was a very special day for Engineered Components who support me and Anchor Bolt & Screw and we are looking forward to doing some more of this NASCAR Pinty's Series stuff and working with 22 Racing more in the future. This was a great way to start our relationship."

"As a team owner what more can you really ask for." stated Scott Steckly after the race weekend. "We had all three of them in the top five for practice and qualifying. We had three drivers and cars that were all capable of winning or being on the podium at least who all ran in the top three during the day. I'm very pleased with our weekend and the potential for future wins and podiums for this great group of drivers and crew members."

The Pinty's GP on the Streets of Toronto will air on TSN on Saturday July 22 at 2 p.m. ET and on RDS on August 6^th at 2 p.m. ET

Next on the calendar for the 22 Racing Team will be the annual western swing with the kickoff event at Wyant Group Raceway in Saskatoon on Wednesday July 26^th where the feature events will be two 100 lap races. Then on to Edmonton International Raceway on Saturday July 29^th for the Luxxor 300. Donald Theetge will be back behind the wheel of the #22 Dodge while Tagliani will look to get back in the win column this year as he defends his 2016 win here.

Barre, Vt. – Thunder Road enters the heart of its midsummer schedule this Thursday, July 20with FairPoint Communications Night. As the season nears its halfway point, many teams will be jockeying for championship position in what is shaping up to be an action-packed evening of racing.

Round two of the Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series for the Lenny's Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers will highlight the full card of racing. The extended distance feature will award both Triple Crown and Thunder Road weekly points, putting a premium on a good performance for all contenders.

"You have a different mindset in these longer races," Triple Crown Series point leader Jason Woodard said. "75 or 100 laps allow you to give that extra two to three lifts if you have to – you don't have to just go charging to the front as soon as the green flag drops. Obviously you have to make your way forward, but you don't have to use everything up at the beginning of the race to do it. It's more a mindset of being there at the end. I've got the car to do it, so we have some luck, I think we'll be there again."

Woodard was the winner of the Triple Crown opener on June 22, while Wolcott's Brendan Moodie tops the weekly Flying Tiger standings on the strength of seven top-five finishes in eight events. Morrisville's Dwayne Lanphear sits second in weekly points and is tied for sixth in the Triple Crown Series, while Hardwick's Jaden Perry, Craftsbury Common's Mike Martin, and Grand Isle's Joe Steffen are also in the hunt for one or both titles. Trevor Lyman, Jamon Perry, and Jason Pelkey have all won races in 2017 and could add another trophy to their collection.

Fairpoint Night also marks the much-anticipated return of the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors to the Barre high banks. The entry-level division, which previously competed from 2003 to 2011 as the Junkyard Warriors, will make their season debut as part of a six-race schedule. A number of drivers have already registered for the division with the potential for more on Thursday.

The Thunder Road Late Models and Allen Lumber Street Stocks will be in action as well. In the Late Models, Hinesburg's Bobby Therrien holds a 14-point edge over Vermont Governor's Cup winner Trampas Demers of South Burlington. Milton's Eric Chase and Scott Dragon along with Barre's Jason Corliss are within striking distance while Westford's Darrell Morin has come on strong in recent weeks.

The Street Stock title chase remains hotly contested as five drivers sit within 11 points of the top spot. 2015 Champion Jamie Davis of Wolcott has a one-point advantage over Fairfax's Alan Maynard with Hardwick's Will Hennequin, Morrisville's Brandon Lanphear, and Duxbury's Reilly Lanphear completing the top-five.

The jam-packed Fairpoint Communications Night program goes to post at 7:00pm on Thursday, July 20. The evening will also feature a send-off ceremony recognizing United States Women's National Ice Hockey team member Amanda Pelkey as the Montpelier native begins preparations for the 2018 Winter Olympics. The pits open at 3:30pm and the front gates open at 5:15pm. Admission is just $12 for adults, $3 for kids ages 6-12, and $25 for a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids).

Une course décisive; qui relèvera le défi?

C'est ce samedi 22 juillet qu'aura lieu le 5e programme de la Série Sportsman Lucas Oil qui se veut aussi être le dernier programme de la première étape du Sportsman for the Cup.

Une étape décisive qui donnera un laisser-passer au meneur du championnat pour la dernière course de la saison qui déterminera le champion 2017.

Pour l'occasion, une vingtaine de pilotes ont confirmé leur présence.

Une course bonie

Lors de cette épreuve, un drapeau jaune sera déployé au 26e tour et les 10 premiers pilotes se verront octroyés des points bonis de 10 à 1 selon leur positon. En plus des 3 points accordés au pilote qui mène le plus de tours ainsi que des points en qualification, rien n'est joué pour les pilotes meneur au championnat.

Seulement 12 points distancent le meneur, #41 Samuel Charland du pilote champion 2015 #67 Dominic Jacques qui occupe la 2e position. La compétition sera forte entre ces deux pilotes qui démontrent beaucoup de rapidité depuis le début de la saison.

En 3e position on retrouve le #37 Dany Gariepy qui accuse un retard de 22 points derrière Charland. Suit de très près, avec seulement 5 points d'écart le #25 Pier-Luc Labbé qui a remporté la 1ère épreuve de la saison sur ce même tracé.

Le #07 Jonathan Côté complète le top 5; lui qui cumule deux podiums consécutifs lors des deux dernières épreuves. Il pourrait très bien brouiller les cartes s'il livre à nouveau une excellente performance comme dans les derniers programmes.

Quant aux recrues, le #96 Alain Hamel domine toujours le championnat avec seulement 1 point sur le #14 Randy Goulet qui a obtenu le meilleur résultat pour une recrue sur le tracé de Saint-Félicien lors du dernier programme. La présence de plusieurs recrues tel que le #72 Louis-Philippe Lauzier, le #3 Christian Groleau, le #11 Manuel Harvey ainsi que le #2 Francis Boisclair pourrait bien venir brouiller les cartes.

Heureusement pour lui que l'époque des cow-boys est révolu, car sa tête serait certainement mise à prix à la grandeur du Québec. Si de mettre la tête à prix d'un individu n'est plus pratique courante de nos jours, Steve donne assurément des maux de tête à ses adversaires sur les pistes du Québec. Parviendra-t-il à poursuivre sa domination ce samedi?

NASCAR Légende Modifiée Thérien Performance

Celui qui dominait le début de la saison, Stéphane Caron #99 de Laval, a vu sa séquence victorieuse se terminer le 8 juillet. Jessy Lambert #64 de St-Eustache a remporté la victoire et tentera de récidiver samedi soir. Une belle rivalité s'installe entre ces deux pilotes, et on peut s'attendre à les voir jouer du coude au cours des deux prochaines finales.

Serait-ce la saison de consécration pour le vétéran Robin Harrisson #3 de Laplaine? Un excellent début de saison pour le pilote de la Honda Del Sol #3. Ce fin renard devra toutefois surveiller ses arrières avec une meute de jeunes loups toute aussi assoiffée de victoire. Yannick Miron #90, Cédrick Fauteux #52 et Jessy Lee Desravines #31 sont parmi les pilotes que Harrisson devra se méfier.

Challenge 4 Perry Performance

Crédité de la victoire lors du dernier programme, Keven Huet #05 de Ste-Sophie, trône au sommet du classement de la série. Ne détenant pas de licence de pilote valide, Louis-Alexandre Dupuis au volant de la voiture #100 s'est fait retirer la victoire du 8 juillet. Il pourrait être de retour et tentera de répéter l'exploit, et ce, pour deux finales de 25 tours.

Une superbe soirée de courses en vue ce samedi à l'Autodrome St-Eustache pour donner le coup d'envoi aux fameuses vacances de la construction. Thunder Road to Host Amanda Pelkey Night This Thursday

Barre, Vt. – Thunder Road officials have announced that the track will host Amanda Pelkey Night this Thursday, July 20 as part of FairPoint Communications Night. The Montpelier native will be honored with a send-off ceremony as she prepares to begin training for the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea with the United States Women's National Ice Hockey team.

Pelkey began her hockey career with the Barre Youth Sports Association and was a member of the Junior Women's Hockey League throughout her high school years, first with the Boston Shamrocks of Massachusetts and later with the North American Hockey Academy of Stowe, Vt. She attended the University of Vermont (UVM) from 2011 to 2015 and holds all of the school's women's ice hockey scoring records.

Prior to being selected for the 2018 Winter Olympics, Pelkey was a member of the U.S. national team that won the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Women's World Championship gold medal in both 2016 and 2017. She also has won two gold medals each in the IIHF Under-18 World Championships and in the Four Nations Cup and won the inaugural Women's National Hockey League Isobel Cup in 2016 with the Boston Pride.

"We're looking forward to having Amanda with us on Thursday night and wishing her well as she begins the next stage of her career," Thunder Road co-owner Cris Michaud said. "It's a big deal to have a central Vermont native going to the Olympics and who has accomplished what she has accomplished. When you add in that the Pelkey family has been a part of Thunder Road for multiple generations, we thought it would be fitting to recognize her achievements and give her a good send-off."

All Vermont female ice hockey players will be admitted free on FairPoint Night upon registration by July 18. They can register for the event at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Pelkey. Post time for the event is 7:00pm with the ceremony planned for intermission.

Un bris mécanique en fin de course à Toronto ruine les chances de succès de Tagliani

Montréal, 16 juillet 2017 - Le cinquantième départ d'Alex Tagliani en série NASCAR Pinty's ne s'est pas terminé comme l'aurait espéré le pilote de Lachenaie qui a croisé l'arrivée au ralenti à la suite d'un bris mécanique au 31e des 35 tours du Grand Prix Pinty's de Toronto disputé samedi. S'élançant de l'extérieur de la première rangée à côté du détenteur de la position de tête, Andrew Ranger, les deux protagonistes se sont échangés les commandes de la course à quelques reprises entre le troisième et sixième tour avant de s'accrocher, ouvrant ainsi la voie à Kevin Lacroix qui a filé vers sa troisième victoire de la saison en cinq départs.

À la suite de l'incident entre Tagliani et Ranger, ce dernier a dû retraiter aux stands pour réparer où il a perdu trois tours avant de revenir en piste, tandis que le pilote de la voiture EpiPen-Lowe's-St Hubert-Spectra Premium a été pénalisé d'un passage dans les puits par les officiels de la série. Revenu en piste au cinquième rang, Tagliani a lentement remonté jusqu'au deuxième rang avant d'être victime d'un ennui mécanique. Après sa deuxième visite aux stands, il est revenu en piste pour marquer le plus de points. Tagliani a croisé l'arrivée au 14e rang devant Ranger. Les deux pilotes accusaient deux tours de retard sur le vainqueur.

« Une opportunité ratée de marquer plus de points, a déclaré Tagliani plusieurs heures après la course. J'étais satisfait de la façon dont le weekend se déroulait, du moins jusqu'au lancement de la course. Andrew (Ranger) et moi avons échangé le premier rang à quelques reprises au début de la course, mais à un moment donné alors que nous étions deux de large dans un virage, il n'y avait pas de place pour les deux voitures. Comme Andrew était à l'extérieur, c'est lui qui a écopé. C'est dommage qu'un tel incident se soit produit et désolé pour Andrew, mais c'est l'une des conséquences de la course. Après ma pénalité, j'ai remonté les meneurs et tout semblait aller pour le mieux. Malheureusement, le bris d'une barre arrière a ruiné toute chance d'un bon résultat. L'axe arrière se promenait à droite et à gauche sur la piste ce qui rendait la Dodge EpiPen-Lowe's-St Hubert difficile à maîtriser. Tout cela est derrière nous maintenant. Nous allons dans l'Ouest canadien pour disputer trois courses sur des pistes ovales. Nous allons tenter de marquer le plus de points afin de relancer notre saison. »

Vingt pilotes ont pris le départ sur le circuit urbain de 2,82 kilomètres comprenant 11 virages du Toronto Exhibition Place et 15 ont croisé l'arrivée dont 13 sur le tour du vainqueur. La course a été neutralisée à trois reprises durant sept tours.

Au classement des pilotes, Tagliani occupe maintenant le huitième rang avec 179 points, à neuf longueurs du cinquième rang occupé par Ranger. La victoire de Lacroix lui permet de conforter sa place au premier rang avec 222 points, 13 de mieux que Labbé qui a terminé quatrième à Toronto.

En 50 départs en NASCAR Pinty's, Tag a inscrit cinq victoires, huit positions de tête, 19 top cinq et 31 top dix. Les amateurs pourront revoir le déroulement du Grand Prix Pinty's de Toronto sur les ondes de RDS le dimanche 6 août à 14 heures.

Le championnat national de voiture de stock-car se déplace dans l'Ouest canadien pour les trois prochaines courses. Premier arrêt au Wyant Group Raceway à Saskatoon le mercredi 26 juillet pour un programme double en soirée alors que deux sprints de 100 tours seront à l'affiche sur l'ovale d'un tiers de mille. Trois jours plus tard, les pilotes se disputeront la victoire sur l'ovale d'un quart de mille du Edmonton International Raceway, une épreuve de 300 tours.

Closes Gap To Burton With Second NASCAR K&N Pro East Win of Season

LOUDON, N.H. – When Todd Gilliland announced he was going to run for both the East and West championship on the NASCAR K&N Pro Series this season, he knew it wasn't going to be easy. Saturday, Gilliland helped himself close the gap towards that goal.

The Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, driver captured his second victory of the season in the K&N Pro East with a dominating performance in the United Site Services 70 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The win helped him chip away on the points lead of championship front-runner Harrison Burton.

It was the third career victory on the East for Gilliland and his first at the 1.058-mile national-series oval.

"My NAPA Auto Parts Camry was hooked up tonight," said Gilliland, who has 14 wins in 37 K&N Pro Series starts between the East and West. "The VHT has a lot of grip and when I was around other cars, I really turned the middle good. It sounds easy, but it was tough through practice. We weren't as good when we unloaded. It was kind of an unknown waking up this morning knowing two other series were going to run out here."

Gilliland's No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota started from the outside pole position, but he was quick to take the lead from Chase Purdy on the restart on lap eight. From there, the NASCAR Next driver pulled away and never was challenged for the remainder of the race. He led a total of 63 laps, and put all but the top six a lap down.

Purdy, who captured his fourth straight 21 Means 21 Pole Award on Friday evening, finished second in the race. It was the third runner-up finish of the season for him. Purdy, who is also part of the NASCAR Next program, is teammates with Gilliland at David Gilliland Racing and leads the Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings. It is the second 1-2 finish for DGR, which also accomplished the feat at Michigan's Berlin Raceway.

Ronnie Bassett Jr. finished third, while Burton slid by Sheldon Creed in the final laps and finished fourth. Tyler Dippel was sixth, followed by Ruben Garcia Jr., Dillon Bassett, Trey Hutchens and Brandon Oakley.

Burton leads Gilliland by 14 points after nine of 14 races, while Purdy is 52 points back. Bassett Jr. and Garica round out the top five.

The United Site Services 70 will air on NBCSN on Thursday, July 20 at 6 p.m.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East returns to the track at Iowa Speedway on July 28, where Gilliland is the defending race winner.

Raabe Scores 150th Career Win

PLATTSBURGH – Alexandria, Ontario native, Chris Raabe, collected his fourth win of the season at Airborne Park Speedway and win number 150 in an open wheel modified.

Todd Stone of Middlebury, VT started on the pole and led the first 28 laps of the main event. Stone had to choose a lane to work around a lap car while coming to take the white flag and his choice of the outside lane came back to bite him as Raabepowered underneath off turn four. Raabe would pull away to a six car length victory on lap-30.

"You have to be at it a long time to be able to get to 150 wins," Raabe said. "I have a great group of guys that have been with me all the way."

At the beginning of the 2017 racing season the Raaberacing team set out for the "Drive For 150" and it has been checked off their list as of July 16.

"Now that we got to 150, we just need to set another goal."

Stone held on for the second spot. Greg Atkins' third place finish was his best finish of the season. Mike Perrotte and JesseyMueller completed the top five.

A first time winner checked into victory lane in the Fidelis Care Sportsman division. Jamie LaFountain of Keeseville took the lead early and never looked back in dominating fashion. Lonnie Rivers finished a season best second place with his No. R7 machine.

Connor Cleveland continued to flash his speed and skill as he worked from starting position 15 to a third place finish. Thomas Cook and Nick Heywood completed the top five.

The Poirier's True Value Renegade division went through a number of right rear tires and Brent Jarvis found himself in the right spot at the right time. Jarvis was sitting in third place with two laps to go when first place car, Jimmy Bushey and second place car Chris Murray both had flat tires. Jarvis would drive on to his seventh win of the season.

Bill Duprey finished second with Scott Fitzgerald crossing the line in third. Mark Caron and Murray completed the top five.

An invader from Autodrome Granby was victorious in the Busch Beer Mini-Mod division. Pierre Oliver Breault snapped Kris Clark's three race winning streak. Clark, Michael Whalen, Josh LaPorte and Caleb Sheppard rounded out the top five.

Shawn Walker of Plattsburgh won the Strictly Stock feature. Rolland Guay and Cody Kilburn completed the top three.

Along with our regular racing winners was the Make-A-Wish foundation. Liquor & Wine Warehouse along with Sportsman driver Codie Aubin, arranged for Benjamin from Jay to be a part of the night and he threw the green flag for Aubin's heat race and the Sportsman feature.

During the intermission drivers walked through the grandstands and collected money via a helmet pass. In total, $1,245 was collected from the grandstands. The Carpenter family of Liquor & Wine Warehouse threw in $400 and Airborne Park Speedway rounded the total up to an even $2,000.

In addition, Liquor & Wine Warehouse threw out over 200 numbered t-shirts and they drew a number for a 100 bill. A random finishing position was drawn for each of the five regular racing divisions with the driver finishing in the position also receiving a 100 bill. Matt Woodruff, Jamy Begor, Metal Man, Sheppard and Kilburn were recipients of the $100.

Barre, Vt. – South Burlington's Trampas Demers earned one of the biggest Thunder Road Late Model wins of his career on Thursday, July 13, taking the lead for good from Hinesburg's Bobby Therrien with 10 laps remaining and holding on to win the 38^thVermont Governor's Cup presented by VP Racing Fuels.

With NASCAR Champion Kyle Busch in the field and a massive crowd in attendance, it was the veteran Demers who stole the show in a wild, back-and-forth race. Demers led eight laps in the early going before dropping back in the pack as Blainville, QC's Jonathan Bouvrette and Milton's Scott Dragon set the pace.

After he and many of the leaders pitted on a lap-98 caution for Jamie Fisher's spin – which also saw Vermont Governor Phil Scott go sailing off the top of turn one in the aftermath – Demers methodically worked his way back through the field and was running third when the 14^th and final caution came out on lap 134 of the 150-lap event for Jean-Francois Dery's stalled machine.

Therrien got the jump over leader Marcel J. Gravel on the restart with Demers following him around. A few laps later, Demers swung to the outside of Therrien for the 14^th lead change of the race, capturing his eighth career victory in the process.

Point leader Therrien maintained his advantage with a second-place finish while Gravel took third. Darrell Morin, Dragon, Jason Corliss, Cody Blake, Eric Chase, Eric Badore, and Boomer Morris completed the top-10. Busch was running sixth when he slapped the wall on a lap-114 restart, forcing him to retire from the event.

Rookie Jason Pelkey of Barre earned his first career Lenny's Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger victory in their 40-lap feature. Pelkey grabbed the top spot from fellow rookie Burt Spooner III on lap seven and cruised to an easy win in a caution-free race.

Waitsfield's Kyle Streeter took second. Craftbury Common's Mike Martin darted to third on the final lap after Spooner and Jaden Perry got together fighting for the spot. Dwayne Lanphear took fourth while point leader Brendan Moodie inherited fifth after Joel Hodgdon was disqualified in post-race technical inspection. Jason Woodard, Mike Billado, Gregg Lyman, Perry, and Tyler Austin completed the top-10.

Middlesex's Logan Powers became to second rookie of the night to score his first victory with a win in the Allen Lumber Street Stock feature. Powers seized the lead from polesitter Scott Weston on the opening circuit of the 25-lap event and drove out to a big lead. After a pair of mid-race cautions tightened up the field, Powers held off Hinesburg's Cooper Bouchard for the win.

Essex Junction's Matthew Smith finished third followed by Stephen Martin and Alan Maynard. Dean Switzer Jr., Jamie Davis, Reilly Lanphear, Peyton Lanphear, and Will Hennequin also earned top-10 finishes.

Thunder Road is next in action on Thursday, July 20 for Fairpoint Communications Night. Round two of the Myers Containers Service Triple Crown Series for the Lenny's Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers will highlight the card along with the Thunder Road Late Models, Allen Lumber Street Stocks, and the season debut of the Burnett Scrap Metal Road Warriors. Post time is 7:00pm. Admission is $12 for adults, $3 for kids ages 6-12, and $25 for a family of four.

NASCAR Promotes Brent Dewar to President

Dewar Becomes Only Fourth Person in NASCAR History to Hold Position

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 13, 2017) – NASCAR announced today that Brent Dewar is being elevated to the position of President of NASCAR effective immediately. Dewar, who joined NASCAR as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2014, becomes only the fourth person in the sport's history to hold the designation of President of NASCAR.

Dewar's promotion to President is in following with NASCAR Chairman & CEO Brian France's vision for a more inclusive and strategic NASCAR. As COO, Dewar led several monumental initiatives and drove strategic development and opportunity at every turn, while developing a strong leadership team centered on industry collaboration and metric-driven results.

"Brent has helped lead a cultural transformation at NASCAR," said France. "From collaborating with team owners to building the charter framework; to partnering with tracks, auto manufacturers, entitlement sponsors, and broadcasters to deliver better racing and a more dynamic fan experience; he has spearheaded some of the most impactful enhancements NASCAR has implemented in its history. As President, Dewar will continue to serve on the NASCAR Board of Directors and will work closely with France, Lesa France Kennedy and Vice Chairman Mike Helton in setting the strategic course of the business in continued collaboration with key industry leaders. Steve Phelps, Executive Vice President and Chief Global Sales and Marketing Officer, Steve O'Donnell, Executive Vice President and Chief Racing Development Officer will continue to report into Dewar.
