WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Tim LaDuc cemented his place in the Devil's Bowl Speedway record books on Sunday, September 17, taking the 50th feature race win of his career.  The Orwell, Vt., veteran topped a wild-looking field in the Sunoco Race Fuels "Carl Vladyka Memorial" open-competition event for Sportsman Modifieds, dominating the post-season 29-lap special with a billboard-style sail panel mounted to the body of his car.

Other race winners during the event included Kenny Martin Jr., Chris Murray, Jesse Durkee, and Bill Fountain, while both Rob Yetman and Cory Gray celebrated championships.

LaDuc was a convincing winner in the Central Vermont Motorcycles Sportsman Modified race; his No. 54 car ran roofless and benefitted from the aerodynamic stability of the large sail panel.  He led every lap in route to his fourth win of the season and the 50th of his Devil's Bowl career, giving him sole possession of second place on the track's all-time victory list.  LaDuc dedicated the win to his mother – long-time Devil's Bowl staple Barbara LaDuc – who is at home recovering from recent health issues.

Track champion Kenny Tremont Jr. experimented with several body configurations during the day, and in the main event he carried a combination of three smaller sail panels and a front-mounted Sprint Car wing to finish in second place.  Jimmy Ryan, Rookie of the Year James Fadden, and Floyd Billington – all using rear-mounted sail panels – completed the top five in the finishing order.

Kenny Martin Jr. of Ballston Spa, N.Y., won the season finale for the visiting King of Dirt Racing Series Pro Stocks, but it was Castleton, N.Y.'s Rob Yetman celebrating the championship.  Martin started on the pole position and led every one of the feature race's 29 laps, but was never assured of the win until the checkered flag waved; at one point, Martin was part of a four-wide battle for the lead.

Jon Routhier made late moves to take second place, and Byron Wescott saw a full-contract, final-lap battle with Rich Crane go his way for third place.  Crane, who challenged Martin for the lead for much of the race, settled for fourth place with Yetman fifth.

Yetman entered the race with a seven-point lead on Nick Stone and 13 points on Martin, but – along with Stone – was involved in two early crashes.  Yetman was forced to come from 15th place with a badly-battered race car to outdistance Martin and Stone for the King of Dirt championship.

Chris Murray of Fair Haven, Vt., capped his championship season in the Rosen & Berger Auto Recyclers Super Stock class by winning that division's 20-lap open competition race.  Murray used wider tires and a billboard sail similar to LaDuc's to rebound from a mid-race spin and take his sixth victory of the season.

Scott FitzGerald, running a half-billboard and large rear spoiler, led the majority of the race before finishing second.  Lebanon Valley Speedway regular Zach Seyerlein was impressive in his first Devil's Bowl start and finished third.  Lou Gancarz and Garrett Given completed the top five.

Jesse Durkee of South Royalton, Vt., won the most exciting race of the night, taking the 20-lap, open competition, $750-to-win feature for the Portland Glass Mini Stock division's "Sweepstakes" finale.  Durkee, who won the Bear Ridge Speedway championship 24 hours earlier, came from 10th place at the start to grab the lead at lap 6, but his engine began to give up at the halfway mark.

Home track driver Andrew FitzGerald reeled Durkee in and took the lead with four laps left, but the pair diced back-and-forth for the remainder of the race.  FitzGerald blew a tire coming to the finish line and Durkee beat him to win by less than six inches.  Matt Boucher drove his Northeast Mini Stock Tour entry from 15th to finish a close third, followed by Saturday night Fonda Speedway winner P.J. Bleau and Devil's Bowl regular Jason Porter.

Bill Fountain of Altona, N.Y., added another significant accomplishment to his stat line by winning the 50-lap Enduro Series finale, and will go down in history as the final driver to win on the current 3/10-mile Dirt Track at Devil's Bowl.  Earlier in the month, Fountain was the final winner on the half-mile Asphalt Track; Devil's Bowl Speedway will transition to an all-dirt half-mile surface for the 2018 season.

Cory Gray of Clarendon, Vt., was part of an entertaining mid-race fight for the lead with Brett Wood and Shawn Fountain, and held the point until Bill Fountain took over with eight circuits remaining.  Gray finished second to wrap up his second-straight Enduro championship.  His twin brother, Kyle Gray, finished third in the race, one lap down, driving the popular No. 7 "Chicken Pit" car.  Jake Barrows finished fourth, three laps behind, with Cam Gadue fifth, four laps off the pace.

Devil's Bowl Speedway's 2017 season is now complete.  An informational meeting is planned to take place during the month of October, with the date and location to be announced.

Barre, Vt. – The 55th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 will see a familiar face return to the Barre high banks. Shelburne, Vt. native Kevin Lepage, a three-time Milk Bowl Champion, has officially entered the "Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America" and will look for victory number four in what is expected to be his final event behind the wheel.

 

Lepage competed on the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Pro Stock Tour from 1980 through 1993, posting 11 career wins which included Milk Bowl victories in 1985, 1989, and 1993. He moved to North Carolina in 1994 to join what is now the NASCAR Xfinity Series, eventually working his way up to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Lepage is a two-time winner in the Xfinity Series and has more than 550 career starts in NASCAR's three national series. 

 

"One thing I always vowed to myself and vowed to Ken (Squier) and Tom (Curley) when I left Vermont to pursue being a NASCAR driver was to never forget where I came from," Lepage said. "When I first started looking at retirement five or six years ago, I decided that I might as well retire where it all started. A lot of guys down here, they retire at their last race of the year at Homestead (Florida) or something like that, and that's not where you started. The fans in Vermont and the people in Vermont watched me grow up, watched me take the step to become a NASCAR driver, watched my progression all the way up to the Cup Series, and were there when I had the good days and there when I had the bad days. For me and my wife to go back home – it's bittersweet, because I still want to race, but Father Time has spoken, and it's time to say 'it's been a good ride, and let's close the curtain at Thunder Road.'"

 

For the 55th Vermont Milk Bowl, Lepage will drive a car fielded by Dave Boyce, a long-time Late Model car owner in the region. East Montpelier's Jeff Laquerre, who has previously been the crew chief for Thunder Road track champions Tracie Bellerose, Cris Michaud, and Jean-Paul Cyr, will prepare Lepage's ride. Many of his long-time sponsors, including Vermont Teddy Bear Company, Allen Lumber Company, and State Water Heaters, have signed on for the event.

 

Lepage is one of a trio of three-time Vermont Milk Bowl winners who plan to compete in the 55th running of the famed event. Barre's Nick Sweet, who has won three of the last four Milk Bowls, has entered the event, as has St-Denis, Qué.'s Patrick Laperle, who won it in 2005, 2007, and 2008. Robbie Crouch is the all-time leader with four Milk Bowl wins.

 

"Robbie Crouch put up a big number, and to go back and to retire as a four-time champion at the Milk Bowl and tie the record with Robbie would be extra-special," Lepage said. "But at the end of the day, it's about saying thanks to all the fans and to all the sponsors that have jumped on board for this last race. It's really exciting to have everybody do this last ride with me."

 

The multi-time former winners join a host of the top Late Model drivers from the Northeast U.S. and Quebec looking to come out on top of the $10,000-to-win event. New "King of the Road" Bobby Therrien, current ACT Late Model Tour point leader Scott Payea, current Serié ACT Champion Jonathan Bouvrette, 2014 Serié ACT Champion Alex Labbé, and multi-time White Mountain Motorsports Park Champion Quinny Welch are just a few of the drivers who have entered this year's event.

 

The action kicks off on Saturday, September 30 at 1:00pm with Booth Bros./H.P. Hood Milk Bowl Qualifying Day. Time Trials and "Triple 50" qualifying races for the Thunder Road Late Models will help set the starting grid with the 55th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank scheduled for Sunday, October 1 at 1:00pm. The Lenny's Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, Allen Lumber Street Stocks, and New England Dwarf Cars will hold two-segment "Mini Milk Bowls" on Saturday and Sunday, with the Flying Tigers paying $1,000 to win and the Street Stocks paying $500 to win. The Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors are on the Saturday program.

 

Adult admission is just $30 for a two-day ticket or $10 for Saturday only with kids age 12 and under admitted free. The front gates will open at 10:00am on both days. An optional practice day for the Thunder Road Late Models, Lenny's Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, and Allen Lumber Street Stocks is slated for Friday, September 29 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

ACT posts $76,865 for NHMS Invitational

LOUDON, NH – A full field of American Canadian Tour Late Model competitors will be at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Saturday, September 23 for the Ninth Annual running of the ACT Invitational with over $76,000 on the line.

 

Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, Mass. – driver of the Hancock Electric/Exit Realty No. 17 – looms as the man to beat.

 

MacDonald has won five of the first eight ACT Invitationals, including the last two. He has taken home over $39,000 in winnings since the inaugural race in 2009.

 

The field will include 2012 winner Ray Parent of Tiverton, RI, last year's runner-up Jimmy Hebert of Williamstown, Vt. and previous top-5 finishers Dillon Moltz, Patrick Laperle, Aaron Fellows and John Donahue.

 

MacDonald took advantage of a late restart in last year's event to get the jump on Hebert, who had the race in hand before the caution came out.

 

"We've been very fortunate in these races," MacDonald said. "I remember having fun racing hard with Nick Sweet right to the end to win in 2012. That's maybe the most memorable one."

 

MacDonald started 31st in a 41-car field a year ago. In 2013, he started 26th but was able to pull away from multi-time ACT champion Wayne Helliwell Jr. in the closing laps to claim his third Invitational win.

 

"The toughest part is trying to get to the front," MacDonald said. "There's only 50 laps. You have to pass at least one car every other lap usually."

 

The ACT Invitational is scheduled to take the green at 5 p.m. Saturday following the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series UNOH 175.

La saison régulière de course est maintenant terminée, mais la superbe température qui survole le Québec actuellement nous permet de présenter le désormais traditionnel RaceMania, 13e édition.


Ce samedi 16 septembre, pas moins de 4 séries seront en piste dans le cadre du RaceMania. Ce sera l'occasion de revoir les Pro Stock avec une finale de 50 tours, avec le pilote Drummondvillois, Stéphane Lemire qui désire toujours plaire devant son public, sans oublier les Bruno Cyr, Jocelyn Roy, Ti-Rouge Bertrand et tous les autres. Les spectaculaires Lightning Sprint aussi seront de retour avec une finale de 20 tours. Lors de leur dernière présence, ils en ont mis plein la vue, comme toujours.


Un autre 50 tours est aussi au programme, avec les Sportsman. Plusieurs pilotes sont attendus, et ce sera aussi l'occasion pour certains de profiter des conditions de pistes automnale pour se démarquer avec de nombreux tours de piste à faire. Les Modifiés ont aussi une grosse soirée de course avec une finale de 75 tours. Ce sera l'occasion pour David Hébert de se démarquer avec une course de longue haleine, et de gagner devant le champion 2017, Steve Bernard. Mais en Modifiés, plusieurs peuvent

prétendre à la victoire, Sébastien Gougeon, Dany Bilodeau, Mario et Gino Clair sont toujours de sérieux prospect pour la première marche du podium.


Pas moins de 195 tours de piste en finales ce samedi pour les 4 classes en piste. Et comme si ce n'était pas assez, suite au programme précédemment annulé, le promoteur Yan Bussière a décidé de remettre de fameux concours d'arrêts aux puits pour la catégorie Modifiés, lors de l'intermission. C'est toujours très intéressant d'apprécier le travail des précieux mécanos, devant la grande estrade.


L'Autodrome Drummond sera l'hôte du championnat fin de saison du Stadiaume St-Guillaume, le lendemain le dimanche 17 septembre à partir de 13h.

PASS Racers Begin Stretch Run This Weekend At South Boston and Beech Ridge

 

NAPLES, ME (September 14) – With the success of the 44th Annual Oxford 250 behind them, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model racers up and down the Atlantic Seaboard are now preparing for the stretch run to the 2017 championships.  It all begins in earnest this weekend as both the PASS South and PASS North Super Late Models take to the track.  PASS South will make-up the August rainout at South Boston Speedway in Virginia with a 150 lapper on the new pavement, while PASS North gets back on track for the first time since the 250 on Sunday at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Maine.

The PASS South Super Late Models return to South Boston Speedway on Saturday night for their only trip to the state of Virginia in 2017 and with teams looking to stop Matt Craig's winning ways.  Craig has sped to four wins this season as he looks to become the first repeat PASS South champion in series history.  Several drivers hope to stop him as they seek their first wins of the season including Tate Fogleman, Kodie Conner, Roy Hayes, and Sarah Cornett-Ching.  Ontario's JP Josiasse will also be making his return as he plans to compete in all of the remaining PASS South races.

The PASS North Super Late Model title fight is tighter than ever before following the Oxford 250 with just five points separating Glen Luce and Travis Benjamin for the championship.  With just three races remaining, including Sundayafternoon's 150 lapper at Beech Ridge, former champions DJ Shaw, Ben Rowe, and Johnny Clark have to close the gap starting this weekend if they want a shot at another title.  And, for the final time this season, Jay, ME's Dave Farrington, Jr. will be pulling double duty at South Boston and Beech Ridge as the only driver competing for both PASS Super Late Model championships.

All the action begins on Friday at South Boston Speedway with an open practice for all competing divisions scheduled.  On Saturday, pit gates open at 1 PM, with practice from 2 - 4:30 PM, qualifying at 5:30 PM, and racing at 7 PMfor the PASS South Super Late Models, NASCAR Late Model Stocks, Limited Sportsman, Pure Stock, and Hornets.

Up the coast at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, PASS North Super Late Models and PASS Modifieds will be able to practice on Saturday from 10 AM - 2:10 PM, followed by heat races and features for local divisions.  On Sunday, pit gates will open at 8 AM, with practice at 10 AM, and heat races beginning at noon followed by features for the PASS North Super Late Models, PASS Modifieds, Quad Street Stocks, and Sport Series.

Local Racers Look to Make Milk Bowl Statement

Barre, Vt. – Barre's Thunder Road caps off the 2017 racing season with the 55th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1. Drivers from throughout New England and Quebec have already entered the event, but a number of local racers are expected to take on the invaders and defend their home turf in "The Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America".

 

Nearly all of the top weekly Thunder Road Late Model weekly racers have entered the prestigious event. Newly crowned "King of the Road" Bobby Therrien of Hinesburg, season runner-up Trampas Demers of South Burlington and three-time 2017 feature winner Jason Corliss of Barre are among those who have filed entries. Corliss will be looking to win his first Milk Bowl after finishing second overall in the 2016 event.

 

"Perfection is basically what the Milk Bowl boils down to," Corliss said. "We ran an almost-perfect Milk Bowl last year. Everything went the right way until the very end, and we ended up just a couple spots short of where we needed to be. We have the same game plan this year as last year – you've got to be as aggressive as you can, but smart at the same time. You just need to have everything fall your way and hope to be there at the end."

 

2016 "King of the Road" Scott Dragon of Milton has also entered the Milk Bowl and looks to become the fourth member of his family to win the event. Other weekly Thunder Road racers who will look to claim the crown include 2017 feature winners Cody Blake of Barre, Tyler Cahoon of Danville, Kyle Pembroke of Montpelier, Boomer Morris of Barre, and Christopher Pelkey of Barre.

 

The Milk Bowl is run in three 50-lap segments with the finishing order of each segment inverted to start the next segment.  The driver with the lowest combined finish will be the winner. Each segment is equal to a weekly Thunder Road Late Model feature, and when combined with the repaving of the track earlier in the season, the locals could have a big edge come Milk Bowl weekend.

 

"I think the locals have a little bit more of an advantage this year, especially due to the repaving of the track," Cahoon said. "We've done a lot of different things to our setups this year in order to maintain a fast car for the short runs, and I think that's going to be a huge advantage on our part. For drivers who maybe have shown up once or twice this year, the track has changed so much throughout the season. If they came in the spring, this fall is a different race track."

 

"I think that one of the joys of the Milk Bowl is that it definitely caters to the weekly Thunder Road drivers that run those 50-lappers every week," Corliss added. "If you're used to that type of pressure and that type of atmosphere – 50 laps of 'get up on the wheel and go as hard as you can' – it's definitely going to favor the weekly guys. Hopefully it favors us the most by the time it's all over!"

 

In order to capture the 2017 Vermont Milk Bowl, the locals will have to fend off the top talent in the Northeast. Three-time Milk Bowl winners Nick Sweet, Patrick Laperle, and Kevin Lepage have entered this year's edition and will look to tie Robbie Crouch with a fourth victory. Current American-Canadian Tour (ACT) point leader Scott Payea, reigning Serié ACT Champion Jonathan Bouvrette, 2014 Serié ACT Champion Alex Labbé, and multi-time ACT Late Model Tour winner Dillon Moltz are among the drivers looking to add their names to the record books.

 

All the action begins with Booth Bros./H.P. Hood Milk Bowl Qualifying Day on Saturday, September 30 at 1:00pm. Time trials and "Triple 50" qualifying races will help set the starting field, with the 55th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank set for Sunday, October 1 at 1:00pm. The weekend will also include two-segment "Mini Milk Bowls" for the Lenny's Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, Allen Lumber Street Stocks, and New England Dwarf Cars, while the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors will have a Saturday event.

 

Adult admission for the Vermont Milk Bowl is just $30 for a two-day ticket or $10 for Saturday only. Kids ages 12 and under will be admitted free on both days. The front gates will open at 10:00am on both Saturday and Sunday. An optional practice day for the Thunder Road Late Models, Lenny's Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, and Allen Lumber Street Stocks is scheduled for Friday, September 29 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Egg Bowl et finales des championnats NASCAR à l'Autodrome St-Eustache dimanche


Dernier rendez-vous de la saison 2017 pour les pilotes des 4 divisions du tracé ovale de l'Autodrome St-Eustache ce dimanche 17 septembre 2017. Dernier rendez-vous qui marquera aussi les finales des championnats NASCAR et ASE. Comme il est souvent le cas en fin de saison, le marché des bolides de course d'occasion est en plein essor. Toutefois, contrairement aux saisons précédentes, ou les pilotes laissait les premières feuilles automnales tombées, cette année ont assiste à des transactions avant même la fin de la saison. Certainement signe que le sport se porte bien à l'Autodrome St-Eustache. Aussi, il ne serait pas surprenant d'assister à du mouvement de personnel dans l'une ou l'autre des divisions dimanche après-midi. On pourrait s'attendre à de belles surprises…

NASCAR Sportsman Lucas Oil

Dimanche après-midi on officialisera sans surprise le titre de champion NASCAR Sportsman Lucas Oil de Steve Côté #1 de l'Ile Bizard. Même si l'affaire est dans le sac, ce dernier ne sera pas à prendre à la légère car il tente maintenant d'accumuler des points supplémentaires pour grimper au cumulatif du championnat national de NASCAR. Patrick Boucher #96 de Ste-Marthe-sur-le-lac, quant à lui, repartira avec le titre de recrue de l'année NASCAR. Multiple champion en série Sport Compacte, le sympathique pilote aura connu une bonne première saison dans la division #1 lui permettant de décrocher ce titre convoité par les nouveaux pilotes. Comme mentionné plus haut, on peut s'attendre à quelques surprises au volant dans les différentes divisions, plus particulièrement dans le peloton de voitures NASCAR Sportsman Lucas Oil et nous connaitrons également le résultat du défi lancé par Rémi Perreault #30 à André Sylvain #4. EGG BOWL

L'œuf ou la poule? Vainqueur de la première édition du Egg Bowl l'an dernier, Steve Côté #1 voudra encore une fois repartir avec la fameuse poule dans ses bras à l'issu des rondes d'éliminations. Tout d'abord, l'ordre de départ de la course régulière de 50 tours sera déterminé par une séance de temps chronométré. Les 10 pilotes les plus rapides pigeront leurs positions de départ sur la grille. Après le 50 tours réglementaire, ou les positions finales seront comptabilisés pour l'épreuve du championnat NASCAR, le top-12 s'élancera pour 7 rondes d'éliminations hors-concours. C'est avec le principe du vert-blanc-quadrillé, que sera éliminé les pilotes à l'arrière du peloton. À la fin des éliminations, nous retrouverons 4 pilotes en piste pour un sprint final de 4 tours. Le gagnant aura la chance de repartir avec une superbe poule et aussi un montant d'argent intéressant, bien entendu. Une formule spectaculaire à ne pas manquer.

NASCAR Légende Modifiée Thérien Performance

Une autre division ou le meneur au points, le champion en titre Stéphane Caron #99 de Laval, détient une avance insurmontable au classement général. Il s'assure ainsi d'un 2e titre consécutif et conserve sa couronne de champion de la série NASCAR Légende Modifiée. Lors de cette dernière course de la saison, Sébastien Lapolice #11 de Prévost, tentera de monter sur la plus haute marche du podium pour un 2e weekend d'affilé, lui qui a gouté à la victoire pour la première fois de sa carrière cette année. Jessy Lambert #64 de St-Eustache, voudra terminer la saison sur une bonne note lui aussi, et beaucoup d'action et de rebondissements sont attendus lors de la finale de 40 tours dans cette catégorie.

NASCAR Sport Compacte MRQ présenté par ZSB Distribution

Si les champions sont déjà connus dans les autres divisions, c'est à l'issu de la finale de 40 tours dimanche après-midi qu'on connaitra le nom du champion Sport Compacte. Pourtant lors du dernier programme, Robin Harrisson #3 de Laplaine avait fait son travail sur la piste en décrochant la victoire et consolidant son avance en tête du classement. Malheureusement pour ce dernier, l'inspecteur technique en décida autrement après l'inspection d'après-course réglementaire. Yannick Miron #90 de Ste-Marthe-sur-le-lac, avec sa 2e position de la dernière finale, est maintenant en tête du classement, et la pression sera sur ses épaules dimanche après-midi. Son nom revient souvent en tant que prétendant au titre depuis quelques saisons, est-ce que 2017 sera enfin l'année de son triomphe ou est-ce que le vétéran Harrisson viendra lui chercher ce titre?

Challenge 4 Perry Performance

Keven Huet #05 de Ste-Sophie tentera de réaliser la perfection en remportant une 11e victoire lors de la 11e épreuve de la saison. Aucun suspense au championnat alors qu'il sera couronné champion 2017 dans la division de développement de l'ASE. Le suspense se situe plutôt sur les plans d'avenir du jeune pilote. Des rumeurs veulent qu'il fasse le saut du côté de la série NASCAR Sport Compacte en 2018. Reste à savoir si son commanditaire principal et ancien champion NASCAR en 2006, l'oncle Régis Huet de Pièces d'auto Régis, s'impliquera dans l'aventure de son talentueux neveu. Pour les autres pilotes Challenge 4, des changements sont attendus au niveau de la réglementation en vue de la prochaine saison. On espère regarnir le peloton pour l'an prochain dans cette division ou il était fréquent de retrouver 25-30 voitures sur le circuit. Mention spéciale au pilote de la voiture #51, Patrick Mayo de St-Alphonse de Rodriguez, seul pilote outre Huet, à avoir participé à toutes les épreuves de la saison. Mayo n'aura jamais baissé les bras devant la domination de Huet, et le fier compétiteur pourra célébrer la tête haute sa 2e position au classement général dimanche.

Toute une journée de course que la dernière de la saison régulière à l'Autodrome St-Eustache pour les divisions NASCAR et ASE. Pour l'occasion, l'ouverture au public est prévue à 11h00, les qualifications débuteront à 12h45 et les finales auront lieu sur le coup de 14h00. L'admission générale est au coût de $25.00 pour les adultes, $15.00 pour les 13-17 ans et gratuit pour les 12 ans et moins. Pour l'admission avec accès aux puits, les adultes devront débourser la somme de $30.00, les 13-17 ans $20.00 et les 12 ans et moins $10.00. Championnat de fin de saison – NASCAR Late Model - Habitations Dany Lagacé

C'est samedi le 16 septembre dès 16h00 que ce clôturera la saison 2017 à l'Autodrome Chaudière Vallée Jonction.

Pour l'occasion, vous pourrez assister à non pas une mais deux courses de 75 tours de la catégorie NASCAR Late Model. Il y aura aussi nos classes locales qui seront en action pour leurs championnats nous aurons aussi la visite des Vintages et des Slingshots. 

Sport Compact Amateur : 

Le 27 de Mickael Giroux est en tête du classemen de la classe Sport Compact Amateur commanditée par les entreprises Daniel Carré. Avec l'avance qu'il détient sur son frère Johnny Giroux et Gabriel Linteau, il sera difficile de le déloger de cette position. Même si Marc André Lesage, William Grondin, Samuel Carré et Philippe Verret nous en mettent plein la vue pour brouiller les cartes. 

Sport Compact Élite : 

En Sports Compact Élite, commandité par Total Métal Récupération, le meneur au classement Steve Godbout ne voudra surement pas laisser sa place aux jeunes qui le poussent dans le dos et qui s'améliorent à chaque semaine ! Les Coté, Gagné, Pelletier Houle Larouche et Blanchette feront tout pour remporter la victoire et pourquoi pas voir le classement changer suite à cette épreuve. 

Semi-Pro : 

Dans la classe Semi-Pro, commanditée par Excavations André Roy, Nous avons eu droit à une course à treize voitures lors du dernier programme, les meneurs ont eu chaud et le classement se resserre… Vincent Vachon, meneur au classement, suivi de Yves Perreault et Kenny Jacques voudront protéger leur positon malgré la présence de certains vétérans comme Francis Grégoire, Yvon Vachon, Johnny Vachon et Éric Cloutier qui pourraient eux aussi venir mêler les cartes et ce, sans oublier la recrue Andy Gilbert qui s'améliore de semaines en semaines.

Les NASCAR Late Model :

Tout une finale se prépare pour cette classe en fin de semaine. Deux courses distinctes donc, deux fois 75 tours ! Pour les NASCAR Late Model, commandités par Freightliner Quebec / Western Star Lévis, le classement est très serré, le #1 de Steve Coté est en tête suivi du #41 de Samuel Charland et du #75 de Marco Bilodeau. Pour les autres positions tout peut arriver, et ça peut se faire très vite ! Dany Poulin, Philippe Poulin, Christopher Paquet, Marc Bégin, Patrick Boyer, Rock Poulin feront la vie dure aux meneurs c'est assuré ! 

D'autres coureurs de la série ACT s'ajouteront à eux dans le cadre de cette finale très attendue. Suivez notre page Facebook @autodrome Chaudiere Vallée Jonction pour connaitre les noms des participants innabituels qui seront présents en fin de semaine! Chose certaine le champion de la NASCAR Pinty's series, Alex Labbé sera de la course! Nous aurons aussi la chance de voir courir Dany Trépanier, qui avait eu une certaine malchance lors du black out le 5 aout dernier. Le jeune Jérémy Roy, ce jeune pilote d'agé à peine 15 ans, Simon Roussin, Martin Latulippe, Eric Gagnon et surement d'autre d'ici à samedi!

Les vintages et les Slingshots vous en mettront plein la vue comme à leur habitude ! Soyez des nôtres pour un maximum d'émotions et d'intensité.

La journée de samedi le 16 septembreest rendue possible grâce à la participation de habitations Dany Lagacé.

CD Beauchamp Wins DIRTcar Pro Stock Event at Airborne



PLATTSBURGH- Rob Yetman was on his way to his fourth DIRTcar Pro Stock Series win of the year on Sunday at Airborne Park Speedway. CD Beauchamp changed that.
Beauchamp took advantage of a lap-27 restart and took the lead away from Yetman. Yetman would rally back and retake the with a slingshot move from high to low off turn four. Beauchamp didn't go away however, as he used the inside of turns one and two to take back the lead and then drive away to a nine-car length victory. The win was his first of the season for the series.
The top three qualifiers out of the four heat races redrew for the first 12 starting positions. Yetman drew the lucky number 1 and led until the yellow flag on lap-27. It was smooth sailing for Yetman, at one point building up a near full back stretch lead. Yellow flags proved to be his nemesis on Sunday. 
Yetman would hang onto the second spot, after a couple late challenges by Nick Stone who ended up third. Jocelyn Roy and Byron Wescott completed the top five.
Dany Gagné used some timely yellow flags to pick up the victory in the 50-lap $1,000 to win Sportsman event. 
In the beginning stages of the race, Bucko Branham had the car to beat as he dialed in the top side of the track. On lap-12, Branham forced an aggressive three wide move entering turn one that led to contact that sent the No. 20 machine around.
Jamy Begor would take notes from his long-time competitor and he would work the top side of the speedway. Begor drove around the top three cars on the top of the track and got out to a convincing lead.
Yellow flags would slow down the flow of the race, however. In the final 25 laps of the event, multiple yellow flags would setup exciting restarts inside the first three rows. The preferred groove on the restarts was the outside, but drivers had every opportunity possible from the inside.
Daryl Nutting proved that to be true when he nosed ahead of Begor in turn two. Nutting appeared to have a card to play on Begor, but Nutting clipped the front stretch wall after sliding up in turn four. That would be the end of the night for Nutting and would now bring Gagné next to Begor for the restart.
Begor had used up his brakes and couldn't hang onto the lead, as Gagné moved past on the inside of lap-39 and never looked back. 
Bryan Cloutier came home in the second spot, with Branham rallying from the back up to third. Positions four and five went to Vince Quenneville and Jamie Lafountain.
The RevStar STR and Slingshot's ran heats and feature events. Pierre Hébert was first across the line for the STR division with previous winner, Sabrina Blanchet in second and Plattsburgh's Codie Aubin completing the podium. Jim Pollard was the slingshot victor over Felix Roy and Jim Gaige.
Tylor Terry collected his first checkered flag of the season in the Poirier's True Value Renegade division. Brent Jarvis and Michael Wright finished in second and third, respectively. 
Kris Clark scored for the eighth time this year in the Busch Beer Mini-Mod division. Josh LaPorte and Clem Bell completed the top three.
Shawn Walker is now tied for the lead in the win column for the Strictly Stock division with four. Rolland Guay, who also has four wins, finished second with Jay Sprano finishing in third.
