Diverse Group Set To Tackle Magic Mile In PASS Debut At New Hampshire

NAPLES, ME (July 2) – As the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) AIM Recycling Super Late Models Pres. By Kenny U-Pull prepare for their debut this weekend at Loudon's New Hampshire Motor Speedway, a diverse group of drivers will be front and center in Sunday afternoon's AIM 60.

While it will be the first time PASS has ever competed at the "Magic Mile", several drivers hope to be in the starting lineup that have raced at New Hampshire in the past. No one in Sunday's field will have more experience at Loudon than home state favorite Eddie MacDonald and Plainville, CT's Teddy Christopher. MacDonald has raced everything at New Hampshire Motor Speedway from ACT Late Models to Cup cars and has been a multiple-time winner in the K&N Pro Series East. Christopher is the leading Modified tour winner at New Hampshire with five wins and will be looking for his first PASS win since Stafford in 2012.

"The PASS Super Late Models are really getting around that place," said Christopher after testing at New Hampshire in May. "I ran a 29.2 second lap with the PASS car which is comparable to a Modified lap time there."

Boca Raton, FL's Dalton Sargeant will be making his first trip to New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend for the AIM 60 as he returns to the seat of the RW Motorsports entry along with rookie teammate Vinnie Miller. Sargeant caught a lot of attention late last year with several strong runs in the Super Late Model, including a fourth place finish in the season ending Mason-Dixon Meltdown at Southern National Motorsports Park.

"I'm really looking forward to going to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the first time this weekend in the #5s Galt/Wauters Motorsports Toyota," say Sargeant. "I've heard a lot about NHMS from Richie Wauters. It's really fast, with long straightaways and flat corners that you need to be able to roll the most speed through the corner. It sounds really challenging, but I'm glad I have veteran leadership with Wauters and Bobby Gill on our side. It should be a really great race with some really good competition."

PASS National Championship contender Tate Fogleman will lead a group of drivers from the Southeast up to Loudon for the AIM 60, the third race of the 2015 PASS National Championship Series. Fogleman will be joined by Georgia's Spencer Davis, Kyle Busch Motorsports teammates Kaz Grala and Christopher Bell, and Fathead Racing's David Garbo, Jr. in making the trip up to New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

"The Bull City team and I are really excited about this weekend's race at Loudon," says Fogleman, who will enter Sunday's race second in PASS National Championship points. "I've never raced on a track that big so that will be a new challenge for us. I'm also really looking forward to drafting and how that will impact these PASS Super Late Models."

A great field of PASS AIM Recycling Super Late Model Presented By Kenny U-Pull is expected this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the history making AIM 60. Defending series champion DJ Shaw will be joined by Mike and Ben Rowe, Derek Ramstrom, and Kelly Moore, all of whom have raced at Loudon in the past. Former PASS AIM Recycling Super Late Model champions Cassius Clark and Johnny Clark will lead the Maine contingent along with Scott Mulkern, Reid Lanpher, David Oliver, Richie Dearborn, Glen Luce, Bill Penfold, Dave Farrington, Jr., Mike Hopkins, Billy Brady, Joey Doiron, Dillon Moltz, and Trevor Sanborn. In addition to Shaw and MacDonald, a strong group of drivers from New Hampshire will attempt to make Sunday's race including Bryan Kruczek and Mark Lundblad, Jr. PASS regulars Raphael Lessard and Eric St. Gelais are planning to come down from Quebec, while Kyle Desouza will make the trip from Massachusetts.

Action begins on Saturday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with pit gates opening at 7:30 AM and rotating practice from Noon to 5 PM for the PASS AIM Recycling Super Late Models Presented By Kenny U-Pull, North East Mini Stock Tour, and Sportsman/Limited Late Models. On Sunday, pit gates open at 7:30 AM, with rotating practice from 9-11 AM, qualifying will be at Noon and main events will follow featuring North East Mini Stock Tour, Sportsman/Limited Late Models for 25 laps, and the AIM 60 for the PASS AIM Recycling Super Late Models Presented By Kenny U-Pull.

Waterbury, VT – The third annual American-Canadian Tour (ACT) International 500, Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19 at Plattsburgh, NY's Airborne Park Speedway, is sure to see some the best racing in the history of the fast 1/2-mile oval. The twin 200-lap events for the ACT Late Models and the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models has more than $110,000 in posted awards and $10,000 guaranteed to each winner. The event has drawn big interest from both the United States and Canada, creating a true International feel for for fans.

The top ACT Late Model drivers from Quebec are expected, including five former Série ACT Champions. 2014 ACT International winner and multi-time Série ACT Champion Patrick Laperle of St-Denis, QC is an early favorite to keep the top prize in la belle province. Laperle won last year's event after a thrilling 30-lap battle with former Thunder Road Champion Nick Sweet.

"It would be awesome to get back-to-back wins," Laperle said. "The trophy would look really nice beside the other one."

Laperle is among those who attempting to capture both $10,000 winner's prizes by running the ACT and PASS features. He recently won the 150-lap PASS event at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee-Jct., QC on June 20.

"Airborne has always been nice to me, so I decided I want to try a Super Late Model there," Laperle said. "With the race that we had at Chaudiere, we'd be crazy not to bring both cars. 400 laps in the same day will be tough, so maybe we won't have as big a party on Saturday night!"

Defending Série ACT Champion Alex Labbé is among the challengers to Laperle's bid for another International win. Labbé already has two Série ACT wins this season and previously captured the 2013 Fall Foliage 200 at Airborne.

"It would mean a lot to win this race," Labbé said. "We've struggled a bit the last two years here – we were always fast in practice, but struggled to find speed in the race itself. It's a big race, and there's a lot of good cars."

Beyond the race itself, Labbé knows that aCanadian winning the International again would be a boost to Série ACT and Late Model racing in Quebec.

"Winning this race would add a lot of prestige to our series," he said. "We all know our Tour is pretty strong, but if we can win against the U.S. drivers, it would prove even more how strong our Tour is."

Boischatel, QC's Donald Theetge, a two-time Série ACT Champion, also plans on doing double-duty. Fellow former Champions Jean-François Déry and Karl Allard are expected to join Theetge in the ACT portion. Dany Trepanier, Jonathan Bouvrette, and Patrick Cliche, the current top-three in the Série ACT point standings, are also among the top challengers for the event, which is also the second leg of the Série ACT Airborne Triple Crown. Meanwhile, ageless veteran Claude Leclerc and first-year competitor Charles Harvey will both try to pull a big upset.

The Quebec competitors will battle U.S. stars such as eight-time ACT Tour Champion Brian Hoar, two-time Tour Champion and current point leader Wayne Helliwell Jr., and 2013 International winner Joey Polewarczyk Jr. Other challengers include Maine's Jeff White and Brad Babb along with young standouts Emily Packard, Brandon Atkins, and Kyle Welch.

The third annual ACT International 500 is set for Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19 at Airborne Park Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY. In addition to ACT and PASS's 200-lap events, open-wheel fans will welcome Quebec's REVSTAR Sprint Cars and Slingshots. Qualifying begins on Saturday, July 18 at 6:30pm, with features on Sunday, July 19 at 1:00pm. An optional practice day will be held on Friday, July 17. General admission is $40 for Saturday and Sunday, $20 for Saturday only, or $35 for Sunday only. Reserved seats are $60 for both days or $50 for Sunday only.

Waterbury, VT – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Model drivers throughout the northeast United States and Canada are now gearing up for the third annual ACT International 500 at Airborne Park Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY. The two-day event on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19 is setting up as the summer showpiece of local short-track racing in in the northeastern United States and Canada.

The International is also the third doubleheader of the year between ACT and the Pro All Stars Series (PASS). Both the ACT Late Models and PASS Super Late Models will run 200-lap straight-up features, with more than $110,000 in total prize money and $10,000 guaranteed to each winner. The ACT portion of the event marks a change from the three-segment format used in the first two Internationals.

"I feel like this year's race is more my style," 2013 International winner Joey Polewarczyk Jr. said. "Obviously we had success in the first International, and we've had success at the Vermont Milk Bowl before, but I like to think of myself as more of a long distance–type racer. I think 200 laps straight-up plays into my favor a little bit more."

"Joey Pole" is one of several drivers who have committed to running both the ACT and PASS features, including 2014 ACT International winner Patrick Laperle, eight-time ACT Tour Champion Brian Hoar, and former ACT Tour Rookie of the Year Bobby Therrien. It will be Pole's second time doing double-duty this year after running both series in the inaugural ACT-PASS doubleheader at Oxford Plains Speedway in April.

"At Oxford we had our ACT car going well, and we thought we had our PASS car going well, but we ended up struggling with it," Pole said. "We're still learning with the Super Late Model, but we're going to Airborne, which we've been to numerous times – and we have our ACT car going pretty good there. Airborne is one of if not my favorite tracks, and hopefully that gives us an advantage on the PASS drivers, because they've never been there before."

Many of the top ACT Tour runners will be in attendance, including third-place point driver Jeff White, Merchants Bank 150 winner Brad Babb, and multi-time Tour winner and Thunder Road Late Model Champion Nick Sweet. The event is also the second leg of the Série ACT Airborne Triple Crown for Quebec drivers such as current Série ACT point leader Dany Trepanier and former Champions Alex Labbé and Jean-François Déry.

On the PASS side, current PASS North point leader Mike Rowe of Turner, ME has committed to the race, as have former Champions D.J. Shaw, Ben Rowe, Johnny Clark, and Cassius Clark. PASS South second-place point driver Tate Fogelman will make the trip from Durham, NC for the National Championship event, and former NASCAR Modified Champion Ted Christopher will drive a Mulkern Racing entry.

"One of the benefits of the off-season discussions we (ACT) had with PASS was the opportunity to put on a race like the International," ACT President Tom Curley said. "Both the opening doubleheaders at Oxford Plains in Maine and Thunder Road in Barre, VT this spring were well received by fans who follow both series. DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 1, 2015) – The 2015 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 returns to the road with the fifth annual Ecko Unlimited 100 at Circuit ICAR on Sunday in Mirabel, Quebec. Below is a statistical look at the performance of the series and selected drivers:

Ecko Unlimited 100 Setup:

· Andrew Ranger has been victorious in each of the three previous seasons at Circuit ICAR, and was two laps away from winning the inaugural 2011 event before being involved in an accident.

· Ranger has won 10 of the 18 road course events in series history contested in his native Quebec: three at ICAR, three at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, four at Circuit de Trois-Rivieres.

· Although neither has a win at ICAR, L.P. Dumoulin and Scott Steckly have both posted a series-best average finish of 3.5 there through the first four races.

History

· The International Center of Advanced Racing (ICAR) is located on the grounds of Montreal-Mirabel International Airport, which closed to passenger flights in 2004.

· The racing facilities began operation in 2008 as a private club, and competition was opened to the public in 2009.

· The complex includes facilities for auto and motorbike racing, drag racing and karting.

Notebook

· Robin Buck won the inaugural NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 event at Circuit ICAR on June 5, 2011. Alex Tagliani was the series' first ICAR pole winner.

Prostock (50 tours)

Il s'agit ici d'un 50 tours exceptionnel pour la course Ultime prostock qui fonctionne habituellement avec deux courses dont toutes les positions sont inversées dans la deuxième finale. Si lors de leur dernier passage au RPM, Rock Aubin #4 est parvenu en 25 tours à remonter tout le peloton pour gagner les deux courses, imaginez ce qui peut arriver en 50 tours. 22 voitures étaient présentes au dernier rendez-vous, une seule n'a pas pu participer à la deuxième finale : Rolland Hébert #97 souhaitons-lui une meilleure chance cette fois.

Sport Compact (20 tours)

Premier passage des Sport Compact cette année au RPM. Ils étaient venus à quatre reprises l'an dernier. Dominik Blais #45 a été nommé champion même si Marc Véronneau #8 avait remporté les 4 courses. Sébastien Beauregard #83, Sébastien Bouvier #33, Patrick Prémont-Délisle #53, Bruno Lafontaine #19 et Alexis Charbonneau #49 ont promis être de retour chez nous. Danick Sylvestre #9 qui a passé la semaine à réparer sa voiture qui a violemment frappé le mur à Granby devrait aussi revenir si tout va bien avec elle.

Lightning Sprint (20 tours)

Alex Therrien #21 est en haut du classement de la série avec deux victoires l'une la semaine dernière à Drummond et l'autre du coté américain à Mohawk. Charles-David Dumont #41 recrue 2014 y a terminé troisième. Jordan Poirier #28 a quant à lui 3 victoires sous la cravate dont l'une au RPM. Normand Hamel #44H a confirmé sa deuxième présence chez nous question de revenir à ses anciennes luttes avec Guillaume Neiderer #51 présentement deuxième au cumul.

Modifiés (2 x 40 tours)

Ces finales s'inscrivent dans les courses de début de série Dirt (Super Series Starter) consistant en vingt-sept courses dans le circuit Nord-Est dont les trois meilleurs résultats seront retenus dans le classement final de la série Dirt Mod 358. Yan Bussière #21 se joindra aux 25 voitures régulières chez nous pour marquer des points dans la série Dirt. Tel que l'illustre l'affiche au bord du chemin du RPM Speedway, la guerre épique est reprise entre David Hébert #ONE et Mario Clair #22C au top du classement du RPM.

Mod Lite (20 tours)

Kevin Burke #91 une recrue de l'an dernier seulement domine le classement avec deux victoires : une chez nous et une à Drummondville samedi dernier. Richard Tessier #85 est deuxième au cumul avec trois troisièmes positions, mais aucune victoire encore. Martin Fleurent #52 est en position 3 avec un podium qu'il est allé chercher à Granby, mais lui aussi n'a pas encore atteint la plus haute marche du podium.

Mini Mod (20 tours – grande piste)

Patrick Lapolice #68 est au faîte du classement avec 4 points sur Jean-François Leblanc #21. Le pilote rochois Maxime Desrosiers #3m est présentement troisième au classement. Lors de la dernière course sur le grand ovale, c'est Lapolice qui avait remporté les honneurs. Le groupe compte une nouvelle recrue qui a couru pour la première fois chez nous le 6 juin, Fernand Bessette #B7F. La recrue Brandon Beauregard #74 en sera à sa première présence à vie au RPM ce samedi.

Slingshot JR ( 10 tours) Slingshot SR ( 15 tours) petite piste

Les fils et filles d'anciens et d'actuels pilotes reprennent du service au plus grand plaisir de leurs parents et des spectateurs. N'oublions pas Bryan Préville #3, l'exception qui confirme la règle, qui n'est pas la progéniture de pilote, mais montre qu'il a ça dans le sang. Le slingshot senior Gabriel Lussier #23 et le slingshot junior Alexandre Lizotte #39 sont toujours chefs de classement avec leurs deux victoires respectives.

CE SAMEDI 4 JUILLET À L'AUTODROME ST-EUSTACHE

St-Eustache, 1^er juillet 2015 -. C'est vers l'Autodrome de St-Eustache que les pilotes de l'ACT se dirigeront ce samedi pour y disputer la 4^e course de la saison 2015 en ce 4 juillet, une finale de cent tours, lors de cette 2^e visite de la saison à ce complexe motorisé des basses-Laurentides sur la couronne nord de Montréal.

Si on se fie à la course de samedi dernier, une des plus disciplinée de la saison, où l'action n'a pas manqué, avec des changements de meneurs répétés et des dépassements des plus spectaculaires où les luttes étaient intenses autant en avant que partout sur la piste, bien malin est celui qui pourra prédire le dénouement de cette finale de samedi à St-Eustache.

Photos Sylvain Morin : Jonathan Bouvrette et Karl Allard, respectivement 2^e et gagnant de la dernière finale ACT seront à surveiller à St-Eustache Samedi.

Le pilote du Lac St-Jean, Karl Allard, qui a remporté l'épreuve de Montmagny tentera de répéter son exploit pour une 2^e victoire d'affilée. Il aura cependant fort à faire, alors que le favori et multiple champion local de St-Eustache, Jonathan Bouvrette de Blainville, qui a terminé en 2^e position derrière Allard, samedi dernier, après avoir dominé durant une vingtaine de tours en est un autre qui veut cette victoire, lui qui connaît ce tracé, y ayant remporté plusieurs victoires et championnats au début de sa carrière. Un autre des favoris, Danny Trépanier, qui occupe le premier rang du classement viendra tenter de se maintenir au sommet. On s'attend aussi à la présence des Patrick Hamel, Gaétan Gaudreault, Steven Boissonneault et autres de la région de la vieille capitale,

Le gagnant des deux premières finale disputées en sol québécois, Alex Labbé de St-Albert, aux commandes de la voiture 48, voudra, lui aussi s'imposer après avoir connu quelques problèmes avec sa voiture lors de sa dernière course. Patrick Cliche de Lévis, le meneur des 65 premiers tours de cette finale de samedi dernier, de même que les Déry, Theetge et autres comptent bien faire sentir leur présence..

Parmi les pilotes habitués au circuit de l'ASE, Martin Goulet jr, de Mascouche qui a éprouvé des problèmes qui ont ruiné sa soirée de samedi dernier sera en piste, de même que le vétéran Claude Leclerc (11) de Lanoraie, qui a inscrit le 4^e meilleur temps lors des pratiques à Montmagny seront sur place. On s'attend aussi à la présence des Jean-Pierre Ouimet (07) de Terrebonne, Gaétan Longtin (66) de Châteauguay. Il y a aussi les recrues, Charles Harvey, Patrick Boucher, ainsi que Dave Trevors, Dave Coursol et Daniel Bergeron de St-Benoit Mirabel, entr'autres, qui pourraient y être, de même que d'autres qui n'ont pas encore corfirmé leur présence.

En plus des pilotes LMS, les divisions NASCAR locales de l'ASE, Sportsman Lucas Oil ASE, Sport-Compactes et Légendes modifiées, ainsi que les Challenge 4 et Modifiés 358 compléteront le programme de la soirée.

En bref, toute une soirée, où l'action sera au programme. Les puits ouvriront à 14h30, les pratiques toutes divisions débuteront à 15h15, les qualifications à 17h40 et les finales à 19h00, alors que la finale 100 tours ACT se mettra en branle à 21h00.

Le prix pour l'admission général a été fixé à 30$ pour les adultes, à 15$ pour les 13-17 ans, alors que les enfants de 12 ans et moins seront admis gratuitement.

Le prix d'admission dans les puits sera de 35$ pour les adultes, 20$ pour les 13-17 ans et 10$ pour les 12 ans et moins.
