For Immediate Release

NASCAR Announces 2016 K&N Pro Series Schedules

·         East Returns To Stafford, Adds Dominion, Mobile & New Jersey

·         Utah Doubleheader, Addition Of Orange Show Headline West

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 11, 2015) – The NASCAR K&N Pro Series has become the preeminent development proving ground for the sport's future stars.

The 27 races on the 2016 schedule – from New England to Southern California, and from Washington to Florida – provides a comprehensive slate of venues and events designed to test drivers and showcase the best and brightest for NASCAR fans.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West schedules, announced today, comprise of 14 points races for each championship. It is highlighted by the annual meeting in the Heartland for the combination race at Iowa Speedway on July 29.

Both calendars include some of the best short tracks in the United States, as well as several companion events with NASCAR's three national series, and three road-course races in each series.

In addition to returns to iconic staples of the East and West, both schedules feature some exciting new events for 2016: New Jersey Motorsports Park, Alabama's Mobile International Speedway and Virginia's Dominion Raceway in the East, and West's first trip to California's Orange Show Speedway in more than 30 years.

The West slate also features the return of Douglas County Speedway in Oregon, as well as the first doubleheader weekend in series' modern history with a pair of September races at Utah Motorsports Campus, formerly Miller Motorsports Park. The East celebrates the return to Connecticut's historic Stafford Motor Speedway for the first time since 2008.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will race at 13 different tracks in 12 states. Highlights of the 2016 schedule include:

  • The championship season will kick off once again at Florida's high-banked New Smyrna Speedway on Sunday, Feb. 14, and the champion will be crowned at The Monster Mile, Dover International Speedway, on Friday, Sept. 30.
  • The series will be the centerpiece of the inaugural season of the brand-new Dominion Raceway, a .4-mile oval 25 minutes south of Fredericksburg, Virginia with a trip on Memorial Day (Monday, May 30).
  • New Jersey will join New York's Watkins Glen International and VIRginia International Raceway to give the schedule a trio of road-course venues.
  • Stafford was a staple of the series' early years as the NASCAR Busch North Series with 29 races in 22 years, and will be the second trip to New England for the series along with New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
  • The series will again race at two of NASCAR's most venerable tracks with a pair of trips to South Carolina's Greenville Pickens Speedway, and the July 2event at Ohio's Columbus Motor Speedway.

Highlights of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, which will race at 13 different tracks across eight states, include:

  • The 2016 run will begin and end in California. The campaign will get underway in Southern California with a Saturday, March 19 race at Irwindale Speedway, just north of Los Angeles. And in a race that promises an electric atmosphere and fireworks before a traditionally sold-out crowd, the West will decide its champion on Saturday, Oct. 15, at All American Speedway, near Sacramento.
  • In an unprecedented race weekend, the series will compete in two full championship races on Sept. 10-11 at Utah Motorsports Campus, the state-of-the-art road course 30 minutes southwest of Salt Lake City. The series ran at the track from 2007-2014 before it was closed temporarily last year. It is the first time the series will run back-to-back days since 1979, and first time since the series' modern era began in 1971 that the two races in two days will be run at the same track.
  • After successful inaugural events in 2015, Arizona's Tucson Speedway and Idaho's Meridian Speedway are again on the schedule and join series' staples Kern County Raceway Park in California, Colorado National Speedway and Washington's Evergreen Speedway.
  • In addition to Utah's two races, California's Sonoma Raceway will be the third road course event as it hosts its 38th West race on the NASCAR Sprint Cup weekend in June.
  • Orange Show Speedway, the quarter-mile oval in San Bernardino, California, has been in continuous operation since 1947. It held eight West races between 1968 and '78.

In addition to Iowa, Watkins Glen, New Hampshire and Dover, companion events for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series feature East stops at Bristol Motor Speedway, as well as the annual West race at Sonoma. The 27 races that make up the NASCAR K&N Pro East and West calendar will be contested on 26 different weekends.

NASCAR K&N Pro Series television broadcast schedules on NBCSN will be announced at a later date.

Dominion Raceway Joins NASCAR For Inaugural Season

For Immediate Release

Dominion Raceway Joins NASCAR For Inaugural Season

·         Virginia Facility Will Host K&N Pro East On Memorial Day

·         Track Joins Whelen All-American Series

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 11, 2015) – A new era in Virginia racing will take the green flag on Saturday, April 9 – and it will do so under the NASCAR banner.

NASCAR and Dominion Raceway and Entertainment announced today the .4-mile asphalt track will be part of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series beginning with its inaugural season in 2016. The brand new facility is located in Spotsylvania Country, Virginia, just 10 minutes south of Fredericksburg and 30 minutes north of Richmond.

"We can't begin to describe how excited we are about the affiliation with NASCAR as we get ready to go racing at Dominion Raceway," said track owner Steve Britt. "When we set out to build this facility, our goal was to put together a state-of-the-art short track for competitors and fans alike. To be part of the NASCAR program is a tremendous opportunity to raise the track's profile even greater."

In addition to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, Dominion will host the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East on Monday, May 30 as the highlight to its first ComServe Memorial Day Classic.

"We are pleased to welcome Dominion Raceway to NASCAR," said Kevin Nevalainen, NASCAR director of weekly racing operations. "We've known Steve for a number of years and the level of excellence he and his team bring to short-track racing. They have built a remarkable complex here and we look forward to their first season of NASCAR racing."

Britt previously was principal track owner of Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, Virginia, from 2003 until the track closed in 2012. Britt then worked to have the new race track built, with its easy access to I-95 and within a short drive from Washington D.C. to help it become a crown jewel track in the Mid-Atlantic region.

That dream will become a reality this year.

Dominion is a multi-purpose race and entertainment facility which will host racing on four different tracks. In addition, Britt said the complex will offer drive-in movies, live music, car shows, events, festivals and more.

The 2016 NASCAR schedule kicks off on Saturday night, April 9. The 21-race schedule will be headlined by the Late Model division as the track's Division I as part of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. In addition, the track will feature Signature Home Settlements Modified (Division II), Honeybaked Ham Dominion Stock (Division III), U-Car (Division IV) and Mini Modified (Division V) as well as INEX Legends and Bandleros.

The track will host the NASCAR K&N Pro Series in May, and will have two more signature events: The Radley Chevrolet Duels on June 25 and Aug. 13, and a late model all-star shootout on Sept. 24, dubbed "The Big One."

For more information go to dominionraceway.com or follow them on Facebook.

Established in 1982, the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series is NASCAR's national championship program for weekly short track auto racing with paved and dirt tracks throughout the United States and Canada.

Connecticut-based Whelen Engineering is the series' title sponsor. Whelen Engineering is a leading manufacturer of automotive, aviation, industrial and emergency vehicle lighting. NASCAR tracks and pace cars across North American are among many showcases for Whelen products.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                                         ACT010616-02

Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) announced today that ACT will return to the 1.058-mile speedway in 2016 for the 8th Annual Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24. The 50-lap event has been a staple of the ACT schedule since its inaugural running in 2009.

"It's definitely a race that I love going to," 2014 Invitational winner Wayne Helliwell, Jr. said. "It brings a different type of racing that we don't get to do at any other track. Running three-, four-, and sometimes five-wide, as much as it's nerve-wracking, is also really enjoyable. Overall, it's just a great experience – especially being mixed in with some of the Cup drivers and the Modified Tour guys. It's a big event for the crew, the family, and the sponsors, and it's something we really look forward to every year."

The 2015 Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational drew competitors from seven different U.S. states and the Canadian province of Quebec, with Rowley, MA's Eddie MacDonald capturing his fourth Invitational victory. This year's edition will once again be part of the track's NASCAR weekend on "Tripleheader Saturday" which includes the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.

"The American-Canadian Tour brings passion, high-quality racing and a loyal short track fan base to our facility every September," said David McGrath, executive vice president and general manager of NHMS. "It goes without saying that we could not be more proud to host some of the best drivers in the Northeast and Canada for the Tour's biggest all-star event as they put on a great show for the fans with the help of our partner Bond Auto Parts for the ACT Invitational."

The ACT Late Model Tour opens the 2016 season with the New Hampshire Governor's Cup at Lee USA Speedway on Sunday, April 10. The 12-race Tour schedule includes events at 11 different tracks throughout the Northeast United States. The Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational is one of two featured non-point events, along with the 54th Northfield Savings Bank Milk Bowl at Barre, VT's Thunder Road on Sunday, October 2

For more information contact the ACT offices at 802-244-6963media@acttour.com, or visit www.acttour.com or www.nhms.com. For tickets to the Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24, call the New Hampshire Motor Speedway ticket office at 603-783-4931.

ACT & PASS Announce Revised 2016 Doubleheader Schedule

ACT & PASS Announce Revised 2016 Doubleheader Schedule

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                            ACT010516-01

<<ATTACHED PHOTO (VLF_0006.jpg): White Mountain Motorsports Park will become the fifth different track to host an ACT/PASS Doubleheader

Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) announced today that the 2016 doubleheader schedule for the two series has been revised. Due to the continuing decline of the Canadian-U.S. exchange rate, the doubleheader event at Quebec's Autodrome Montmagny originally scheduled for Saturday, July 23 has been cancelled.

"Historically, combination races have featured a U.S. funds purse for all competitors, and with the elevated exchange rate expected to go even higher, the costs for both fans and promoters would be unreasonable," ACT President Tom Curley and PASS President Tom Mayberry said in a joint statement. "We certainly appreciate all the support and enthusiasm the teams and fans from Quebec have had for the combination events in the past, and we hope that we can get them back on the schedule in 2017."

The two series will now host a doubleheader at N. Woodstock, NH's White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) on Saturday, August 20. As part of the new agreement, WMMP and Speedway 51 have switched dates on the ACT schedule; the ACT White Mountain 150 moves to August 20while Speedway 51's Generation Next 151 will now be held on June 18. WMMP will become the fifth different track to host an ACT/PASS doubleheader event.

"White Mountain is a favorite track to visit for both teams and fans," Mayberry said. "It also sits right in the middle of the marketing areas for both ACT and PASS. I think it should be a great event for both series' competitors and fans."

ACT will open the 2016 season with the traditional New Hampshire Governor's Cup at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH on Sunday, April 10. PASS will be joined by ACT to open their season the following Sunday, April 17 at Maine's Oxford Plains Speedway for the first of four doubleheaders between the two organizations.

In addition to the newly scheduled doubleheader at WMMP, two other twin bills will take place during the 2016 season featuring the two largest touring series in the Northeast. PASS will return to Barre, VT's Thunder Road for a 150-lap event during the 54th Annual Mekkelsen Memorial Day Classic on Sunday, May 29 along with a 100-lap feature for Thunder Road's ACT-type Late Models. The final doubleheader will be at Scarborough, ME's Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on September 17 and 18 during the PASS New England 500 weekend, with ACT running the 42nd Fall Foliage 200 as part of the program.

For more information contact the ACT offices at 802.244.6963media@acttour.com, the PASS offices at passracing@roadrunner.com, or visitwww.acttour.com or www.proallstarsseries.com.
