PASS TV Set To Debut This Weekend From Greenville-Pickens Speedway

 

NAPLES, ME (February 24) – The highly anticipated debut of PASS TV is set for this Saturday afternoon with the first broadcast coming from the historic Greenville-Pickens Speedway in South Carolina.  The legendary half-mile speedway will host the first Pro All Stars Series (PASS) events of 2014, including the PASS South Super Late Models and PASS Pro Late Models.  The PASS Super Late Models will be the featured event of the Fox Carolina 150 in a race that will also double as the first PASS National Championship Series event of the year.  In addition to PASS, the Southeast Super Trucks will make their first ever visit Greenville-Pickens Speedway in a 75 lap race that will feature some of the Carolinas top short track veterans.

PASS TV will have live flag-to-flag coverage of all the action from Greenville-Pickens Speedway starting at approximately 3:45 PM Eastern.  Coverage will include qualifying for all three divisions, last chance races if needed, and each main event, including the Fox Carolina 150 for the PASS South Super Late Models.  The Fox Carolina 150 is attracting some of the best short track racers in North America, including former PASS National Series champions Jay Fogleman, Ben Rowe, and Cassius Clark, Super Late Model champions Daniel Hemric and Travis Braden, defending Greenville-Pickens Speedway track champion Anthony Anders, and up and coming stars like Jared Irvan, Tate Fogleman, Joey Doiron, Trevor Noles, and Brandon Setzer.

TM Racing Videos will partner with PASS and utilize a multi-camera format to provide a first-of-its kind experience online for short track asphalt racers and fans.  Using state-of-the-art equipment, TM Racing Videos and PASS TV will give fans a perspective they have never seen in PASS racing from the comfort of their own homes.  Fans will be able to access PASS TV through a link now posted on ProAllStarsSeries.com and can enjoy the racing action from qualifying through the checkered flag.  Through PASS TV, racers will be able to get those ever important sponsors the increased exposure that they deserve.

Fans can purchase this weekend's Fox Carolina 150 for $29.95, but those who purchase the event by Wednesday, February 26 will be able to save $5 by using the discount code "PASSTV".  Other events that will be available for purchase throughout the season will be announced on the PASS website as well as the PASS Facebook and Twitter pages.

L'Autodrome Chaudière de Vallée-Jonction a été le pôle d'attraction en Amérique du Nord et sur les lèvres de tous les amateurs de course automobile en 2013…

1)     PREMIEREMENT

 

Sept programmes sont au calendrier en 2014, soit les samedis 18 mai, 14 et 21 juin, 14 juillet, mardi le 5 août et les vendredi/samedi les 6 et 7 septembre.

 

Les Séries Sportsman Québec nous visite à quatre reprises, la Série Procam SuperTruck à trois reprises et la Série ACT à une reprise comme l'an passé. La Série ISMA et Vintage seront sur la piste à une occasion.

 

Les classes locales, la force et le succès de la survie du Stock Car, particulièrement à l'Autodrome Chaudière avec ses KAMIKAZE, SPORT COMPACTE ET LIMITE, seront présentes à chaque programme de la saison avec une participation accrue. C'est la seule piste ou les classes Sport Compacte et Limité sont en développement. Et le passé le prouve en produisant plusieurs pilotes dans les classes et séries supérieures.

Oricom Internet, grâce aux propriétaires Alain Bergeron et Bernard Lépine contribuent à cette réussite et innove en 2014 avec la Coupe Oricom remis au meilleur pilote du combiné de deux courses Vallée/Montmagny.

 

 

2)     DEUXIEMEMENT

 

PREMIÈRE A L'AUTODROME CHAUDIERE, la venue de la plus prestigieuse Série Canadienne affiliée à NASCAR, soit la SERIE CANADIAN TIRE sera dans nos murs le samedi 14 juin, avec tous ses pilotes vedettes, ses officiels NASCAR et tout son équipe média et télévision. Elle en sera à sa deuxième course de la saison et sa première de quatre visites au Quebec.

 

Nous verrons à l'œuvre les Ranger, Tagliani, Kennington, Fitzpatrick, Stockley et autres en plus de nos vedettes québécoises comme les Dumoulin, Roy, Guenette, Courtemanche, plusieurs autres. Ils en mettront plein la vue sur l'ovale le plus incliné au Québec.

 

 

3)    TROISIEMEMENT

 

La Série PASS NORTH et ses voitures Super Late sera présente à trois reprises dans le cadre de la Triple Couronne PASS.

 

Comme l'an passé, une vedette NASCAR de la Série Sprint Cup sera de l'évènement du mardi 5 août. Je laisse le soin à M. Kevin Roberge de vous dévoiler le nom de cette vedette.

 

Kyle Busch de retour à L'Autodrome Chaudière en 2014

 L'Autodrome Chaudière 2012 inc. est fier d'annoncer aujourd'hui que Kyle «Rowdy» Busch sera la grande vedette invitée au cours de la deuxième tranche de la prestigieuse Triple Couronne PASS, à l'Autodrome Chaudière de Vallée- Jonction, le mardi 5 août 2014. Busch participera à l'événement, qui sera sans aucun doute la plus grande course de Super-Late model en 2014, au volant de la Toyota Camry portant le numéro 51 de Kyle Busch Motorsports. Kyle Busch sera de retour sur le ¼ mile beauceron où il a démontré son grand talent en 2013 devant une salle comble.

Kyle Busch est considéré par plusieurs comme étant le plus grand talent brut sur le circuit NASCAR de la Coupe Sprint. Connu pour son intensité et son désir de gagner, Rowdy est un adversaire de taille et il est une menace à la victoire chaque dimanche après-midi. Ses records parlent par eux-mêmes; 28 victoires de la Coupe Sprint, 63 victoires de la série Nationwide, 35 victoires de la série camionnettes Camping World et un championnat de la série Nationwide. Nouveau directeur de course pour l'Autodrome St-Eustache


La direction de l'Autodrome St-Eustache est fière de vous annoncer la venue de Donald Forte à titre de directeur de course pour la saison 2014.

Impliqué depuis longtemps dans le domaine des courses automobiles, Donald a une impressionnante feuille de route. Ayant cumulé plusieurs succès comme pilote de stock car, tant sur les pistes asphaltés que sur terre battue, il a notamment agit à titre de directeur de course pour la série SUPREME ADL TOBACCO, la série national LMS Castrol et plus récemment du coté de l'Autodrome de Granby, poste qu'il a occupé lors des deux dernières saisons.

Compétent, passionné, expérimenté et doté d'une importante crédibilité, Donald saura imposer le respect et la rigueur tant au niveau des compétitions sur la piste que lors des inspections techniques. Il est d'ailleurs reconnu pour ses compétences en mécanique et nul doute qu'il saura appliquer la réglementation a la lettre. Howard Romanado agira a titre de directeur des opérations NASCAR ainsi que de la direction des officiels, Marcel Comeau a titre d'inspecteur technique pour la catégorie NASCAR Légendes Modifiées et Norman Robichaud sera de retour à titre d'inspecteur technique en chef des autres classes et ils travailleront tous en collaboration avec le nouveau directeur de course pour la saison 2014. Donald Forte sera intransigeant dans ses décisions et relèvera directement de Jason Labrosse, directeur général de l'ASE.

Le directeur de course NASCAR/ ASE, Donald Forte, sera en poste le 24 mai prochain, lors de l'ouverture officiel de la 50e saison de stock car de l'Autodrome St-Eustache pour le premier des dix évènements figurant au calendrier de stock car pour la saison 2014.

C'est donc un pas de plus, vers une saison de stock car des plus palpitantes qui s'annonce pour le seul complexe hebdomadaire NASCAR au Québec.

WEST HAVEN, VT – One of Vermont’s most important stock car racing events will enjoy the support of one of America’s great financial institutions, as People’s United Bank sponsors the 100-lap Vermont State Late Model Championship Series event at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Friday, May 30.

People’s United Bank is a longtime supporter of stock car racing at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, and 2014 marks People’s second season of involvement in the Vermont State Championship.  With more than 400 locations throughout New England and New York – including a branch just five miles from Devil’s Bowl in Fair Haven, VT – People’s United Bank is an integral part of the local community.

“We are thrilled to partner with Devils Bowl once again as they gear up for another exciting season,” Kathy Schirling, Director of Marketing and Community Services for People's United Bank in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.  “Devil’s Bowl provides good quality entertainment for families.”

The Vermont State Championship brings the state’s best drivers together in four head-to-head events at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven and Barre’s Thunder Road International Speedbowl.  The People’s United Bank 100 is the second race in the series.

Nick Sweet and Chip Grenier finished 1-2 in both the People’s United Bank 100 and the Vermont State Championship standings in 2013, and both are expected to return.  They’ll face tough competition from Devil’s Bowl racers Chris Bergeron, Josh Masterson, Hunter Bates, and Robert Bryant, Jr., and Thunder Road regulars Trampas Demers, Jamie Fisher, Emily Packard, and more.

Devil’s Bowl Speedway co-owner Alayne Bruno has the People’s United Bank 100 circled on her calendar.  “It’s fun when our home track stars get to defend their turf against the Thunder Road invaders, and having People’s United Bank involved gives the event a great local feel,” Bruno said.  “People’s United Bank is a great sponsor and business partner at Devil’s Bowl, and their event is one of our favorites.”

Qualifying for the People’s United Bank 100 will begin at 7:00pm on Friday, May 30.  The event includes NASCAR Whelen All-American Series championship races for the Bond Auto Parts Modified and Central Vermont Motorcycles Mini Stock divisions, along with a Kids’ Poster Contest in which prizes will be awarded to children who create posters of their favorite racecars and drivers.

Second Career NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Win For D4D, NASCAR Next Driver

 

NEW SMYRNA, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2014) – Offseason did nothing to slow Daniel Suarez's momentum.

 

The Monterrey, Mexico, driver held off Cameron Hayley in a door-to-door battle of NASCAR's rising stars to win the New Smyrna 150 presented by JEGS Saturday night at New Smyrna Speedway. The race was the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season opener and the inaugural visit to the banked half-mile.

 

Driving for Rev Racing and NASCAR's Drive for Diversity, the 22-year-old Suarez picked up his second career victory and gave Rev Racing its 13th win since 2010.

 

It marked Suarez's sixth top-three finishes in eight NASCAR K&N Pro Series East races dating back to last year. And it was his second straight NASCAR touring series win; Suarez won the NASCAR Toyota Mexico Series finale at Mexico City in November. Suarex is also a member of the NASCAR Next program that spotlights young, talented drivers.

 

Hayley, 17, won the 21 Means 21 Pole Award presented by Coors Brewing Company earlier in the day. But it was Suarez and Brandon Jones, 16, who led the way for most of the night. Jones led 34 laps before giving way to Suarez on Lap 48 and eventually finishing third.

 

Ben Rhodes and Lee Pulliam rounded out the top five. It was the series' debut for Pulliam, the two-time defending NASCAR Whelen All-American Series champion.

 

A late race caution set the stage for tense closing laps. Pulliam restarted alongside Suarez, slipped up and dropped out of the top five.

 

That allowed Suarez to get away and Hayley to move back into second.

 

With four to go, Hayley muscled his way alongside Suarez. They rubbed and stayed side-by-side, with Suarez leading leading by inches to the white flag and beating Hayley to the finish by .083 seconds.

 

Kenzie Ruston finished sixth, followed by Gray Gaulding, Mackena Bell, Brandon Gdovic and rookie Kaz Grala.

 

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will get right back at it. The series will be part of the UNOH Battle At The Beach Tuesday on the backstretch at Daytona International Speedway, along with the non-points special event for the NASCAR Whelen Modified and NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tours.

 

The New Smyrna 150 presented by JEGS will air on FOX Sports 1 on Saturday at 9 a.m.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2014) – Austin Dillon, driving the historic No. 3 car in its return to NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition for the first time since 2001, won the Coors Light Pole for the 56th running of the Daytona 500 – NASCAR’s most prestigious race and season opener. “The Great American Race” is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Feb. 23 at Daytona International Speedway (1 p.m. on FOX, Motor Racing Network Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

 

The late Dale Earnhardt, whose excellence in the No. 3 elevated the number to iconic status, was the last to drive the No. 3 – a car number he drove to six of his record-tying seven NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championships. A last lap crash in the 2001 Daytona 500 took Earnhardt’s life, and the No. 3 car had not been run since.

 

“You want to perform with the No. 3; everyone wants to see it perform,” said Dillon, who won the pole with a lap of 196.019 mph (45.914 seconds). “It's a long season … and this is one of the top points. You want to carry that momentum going forward. I just have to stay grounded and have fun."

 

It was announced last December that the No. 3 Chevrolet would return to full-time NASCAR Sprint Cup competition this year, with Dillon driving. Dillon is the grandson of Richard Childress Racing owner Richard Childress, who also ran the No. 3 as a driver from 1976-81, and was car owner for all six of Earnhardt’s series championships driving the No. 3 car.

 

Earnhardt, a member of the inaugural NASCAR Hall of Fame class, was the last driver of the No. 3 car to win a Coors Light Pole, at Watkins Glen in August of 1996. Earnhardt also won the pole for that year’s Daytona 500, the last time the No. 3 started on the pole for The Great American Race.

 

This is the fourth time the No. 3 has won the pole for the Daytona 500, and its 67th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pole, overall.

 

In addition, Dillon, who won last year’s NASCAR Nationwide Series championship, becomes the fifth Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender to win the pole for the Daytona 500. He joins Loy Allen Jr. (1994), Mike Skinner (1997), Jimmie Johnson (2002) and Danica Patrick (2013).

 

Today’s Coors Light Pole Qualify set the front row for the Daytona 500; Martin Truex Jr. will start second in the race. The remaining starting positions will be determined Thursday night in the Duel at Daytona (7 p.m. on FOX Sports 1, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

SOUTH PLATTSBURGH – Airborne Park Speedway will usher in its first season as a NASCAR sanctioned asphalt track Saturday, May 4 with the Ernie’s Tools DIRTcar 358-Modifieds returning as the premier division.

 

“The Modifieds are our mainstay,” promoter Mike Perrotte said. “We’ve made some rule changes and restructured the point fund to give the division a boost. So far, we’ve had a lot of positive feedback about what we’re trying to do.”

 

In addition to various chassis and suspension rule changes designed to increase the competitiveness throughout the division, Perrotte has announced an innovative method of distributing point fund dollars.

 

“The top ten drivers in the final point standings will be eligible for a drawing for a $3,000 top prize,” Perrotte explained. “We’ll put the track champion’s name in the hat twice as a bonus for being the point leader. Other than that, everyone will have an equal chance for the biggest point fund check. The other nine drivers will each receive $1,000. We’ll have a fan come out onto the track and draw the winner.”

 

“I don’t think it’s ever been done before,” Perrotte said. “It gives all the top runners a chance to get the biggest reward. My focus this year is to fortify the Modified division. They are the star attraction and they provide some great racing.”

 

Two Modified drivers that finished in the top-10 in 2013 - Chris Cayea of Mooers and Maxime Viens of Saint-Cesaire, Quebec - voiced support of the point fund plan.

 

“It should be interesting for the fans and it spreads the value of a top-10 season around,” Cayea said.

 

“It seems good to me,” Viens said. “It should help with the car count.”

PASS Opener Set To Make More History At The Legendary Greenville-Pickens Speedway

CHARLOTTE, NC (February 11) – The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) looks to embark on one of its biggest seasons yet as the series season opener approaches on March 1 at the historic Greenville-Pickens Speedway in South Carolina.  The PASS National Championship Series will take center stage as the PASS South Super Late Models will be featured in the Fox Carolina 150.  A strong field of PASS Pro Late Models will make their first ever trip to Greenville for 50 laps of short track excitement.  And, if that was not enough, the strong weekend of racing will also include the first of three companion events with PASS for the Southeast Super Trucks.

            Greenville-Pickens Speedway first began hosting stock car races in 1946 after a time in which it operated as a horse racing facility.  Man-made horsepower has been the name of the game at GPS for nearly 70 years now.  A track made famous by the names of former track champions that now line its walls.  Names like Pearson, Earnhardt, Lindley, and Porter just to name a few.

The Fox Carolina 150 will mark a return to the historic half-mile speedway for the PASS Super Late Models for the first time since 2010.  Ironically, the first PASS National Championship Series race of 2014 takes place at the same track where the first champion was crowned.  Cassius Clark of Farmington, ME held off North Carolina’s John Stancill to become the first ever PASS National Champion in 2008.  That came on the heels of Clark winning at GPS in the 2007 Howler 150 when the PASS South Super Late Models first debuted at the speedway.  Clark will be back this year at the Fox Carolina 150 to make his first run at the title in a several years.

            Alex Haase swept both races at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in 2008 en route to the PASS South Super Late Model championship that year.  In 2009, Jay Fogleman outlasted Brian Ickler and Alex Fleming to win the Firecracker 125 in what many have heralded as one of the greatest PASS South races of all time.  Fogleman followed his win in July of that year up with a runner-up finish to 6-time PASS North Champion Johnny Clark in the Howler 150 at GPS.  Although racing only a limited schedule in 2014 as he pursues a third straight PASS National Championship, Fogleman will no doubt be among the favorites for victory in the Fox Carolina 150.

            PASS last visited Greenville-Pickens Speedway in 2010 when Ryan Blaney took his second win of that season in the Firecracker 125.  In 2014, the PASS South Super Late Models return for two big events which include the Fox Carolina 150 on March 1 and the 9th Annual Firecracker 125 on July 3.  The PASS Pro Late Models and Southeast Super Trucks will also be in competition on both dates.

            Among those pre-entered for the Fox Carolina 150 are two-time PASS South winner in 2013, Tyler Church, third generation racers Jared Irvan and Tate Fogleman, veterans Brandon Ward and John Batten, and rookie contender Matt Daley.

            Entries are continuing to come in daily for what looks to be one of the biggest Super Late Model races of the Winter.  Entry forms for the Fox Carolina 150 can be found at ProAllStarsSeries.com.

Action gets under way on Friday, February 28th at Greenville-Pickens Speedway with practice for all divisions from 2-6 PM.  On Saturday, March 1st, pit gates will open at 10 AM for the Fox Carolina 150, with practice from Noon- 3 PM.  Qualifying will begin at 4 PM and racing will start at 6 PM, featuring 150 laps for the PASS Super Late Models, 50 laps for the PASS Pro Late Models and 75 laps for the Southeast Super Trucks.

The Fox Carolina 150 will also be available on PASS TV for online pay-per-view purchase through ProAllStarsSeries.com.
