seront les invités d'honneur, le 23 janvier prochain, lors d'un événement-bénéfice pour le Musée Gilles-Villeneuve. Pour une 3e année consécutive, les passionnés de sport motorisé se réuniront au restaurant Galopin, partenaire de l'événement. Benoit et Donald Theetge vous invitent à participer en grand nombre.

Benoit et Donald Theetge, propriétaires du Groupe Theetge, regroupant Auto Frank et Michel, Circuit Acura, Le Centre Honda d'Auto Frank et Michel ainsi que Mercedes-Benz St-Nicolas, et passionnés de sport motorisé oeuvrent dans le domaine automobile depuis des décennies. «C'était tout naturel pour nous de rassembler les passionnés de courses pour souligner le 30e anniversaire du Musée Gilles-Villeneuves, ici à Québec, où nous nous démarquons année après année dans ce domaine!» souligne Donald Theetge. «Gilles Villeneuve est un personnage important pour notre culture québécoise et pour le monde du sport, le musée tient à souligner son parcours exceptionnel et nous sommes fiers de nous y associer cette année» poursuit Benoit Theetge.

Les fonds amassés aideront le musée, un organisme à but non lucratif, à poursuivre sa mission; perpétuer le souvenir de Gilles Villeneuve. Elle lancera aussi la saison 2018 du

musée qui sera notamment marquée par diverses activités qui souligneront le 30e anniversaire du musée, un établissement qui accueille chaque année des visiteurs en provenance d'une bonne vingtaine de pays. Le musée Gilles-Villeneuve pourrait même accueillir en cette année spéciale son 300 000e visiteur!

75-Lap Event Caps Sunday Doubleheader at the World Center of Racing

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (December 11, 2017) – NASCAR fans get a double-dose of racing action to open the 2018 season on Sunday, February 11, with The Advance Auto Parts Clash at Daytona International Speedway capping a day that starts with Coors Light Pole Award qualifying for the 60th Annual Daytona 500.

A star-studded lineup of elite drivers will battle in the 75-lap event which airs live on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio at 3 p.m. ET. The annual preseason race will be run in two segments, with a competition caution at lap 25 separating the segments.

"A double-header, featuring The Clash and Daytona 500 qualifying, is a great way to start the 2018 season," said Steve O'Donnell, NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing development officer. "The urgency created by the non-points race sets a tone for the season, providing a strong preview of the competition we expect will be a mainstay all year long."

"For four decades, the Advance Auto Parts Clash has been a staple of the Speedweeks lineup," Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile said. "The event has a rich history and serves as a preview to the Can-Am Duel qualifying races and the DAYTONA 500. Combining the Advance Auto Parts Clash and DAYTONA 500 Qualifying on the same day will deliver race fans a full day of NASCAR action."

Consistent with the eligibility criteria used to determine last year's Clash field, there is no pre-determined number of cars. The exclusive field is limited to drivers who were 2017 Coors Light Pole Award winners, former Clash race winners, former Daytona 500 pole winners who competed full-time in 2017 and drivers who qualified for the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.

Barre, Vt. – Thunder Road officials announced today that Allen Lumber Company has signed a multi-year agreement to return as the title sponsor for the track's Street Stock class. The upcoming 2018 season will be the 26^th consecutive year that the Vermont-based company has been associated with the Street Stocks.

Allen Lumber Company is one of the longest-running continuous entitlement sponsors at Thunder Road. They began their sponsorship of the Street Stocks in 1989 when it was an eight-cylinder division. After a one-year association with the Flying Tigers in 1992, they resumed their partnership with the Street Stocks in 1993 when it became a four-cylinder class.

For many years, the Allen Lumber Street Stocks have been one of the most popular entry-level divisions in New England. The division is coming off a 2017 season that featured a four-way championship battle entering the final event and a large influx of drivers are anticipated from the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warrior class for 2018.

SERIE ACT ANNOUNCES 2018 QUEBEC SCHEDULE

Laval, QC – December, 1st 2017 – Série ACT, the Canadian touring series operating under the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) flagship, is pleased to announce the 2018 schedule for ACT Late Model Sportsman, which will consist of nine (9) events at three different tracks in the Province of Quebec.

Serie ACT will kick off its 14^th Championship stock car season, on Sunday, May 20, by making its first of four visits at Autodrome St-Eustache (ASE). A 4/10^th mile oval track, located just North of Montreal. It will return to the speed plant on July 7^th, August 18^th and Septembre 23^rd.

Autodrome Montmagny, located in the scenic city of Montmagny, which is 45 minutes East of the Quebec city bridges, will host 4 Championship races as well. The 3/8 mile oval will host events on June 9^th and 24^th, July 21^st, and September 1^st.

After a year absent from the calendar, Autodrome Chaudiere is reinstated. Série ACT will visit the 1/4 mile track nested in the hills of the city of Vallée-Jonction (Quebec) on July 28^th.

The last 2018 event on the schedule will be raced at ASE on September 23^rd, at which time it will crown its new Champion. The winning Champion will be succeeding to an impressive list of former Champions : Jonathan Bouvrette, Patrick Laperle (4), Dany Trépanier, Alex Labbé, Donald Theetge (2), Jean-François Déry, Karl Allard, Alexandre Gingras, Sylvain Lacombe.

Marc Patrick Roy, the Managing director for Série ACT is pleased with the schedule, but his work is not completed: "The drivers and spectators had asked for more events than we did in 2017. We listened. Also, I am pleased to say that our schedule is harmonized with the ACT Late Model Tour (US Tour), a driver, if he wanted to, could race in 18 events in 2018. But the planning work for 2018 is not finished. We need to complete our sponsorship deals and while we do that, we also continue to work on the possibility of having a 10^th event on the schedule. More news will be released prior to the New Year as it becomes available."

Waterbury, Vt. – Les dirigeants de l'American-Canadian Tour (ACT) ont dévoilé le calendrier 2018 pour la ACT Late Model Tour. Un calendrier de 10 épreuves, réparties sur 7 circuits différents dans quatre états américains différents.

Comme le veut la coutume depuis quelques années, la saison s'élancera avec la coupe du Gouverneur 150 à la piste de Lee USA Speedway (Lee, N.H.), dimanche, le 15 avril. Ensuite, dimanche le 29 avril, la ACT Late Model Tour se dirigera à Thunder Road Speedbowl (Barre, VT) pour la 20^e édition du Community Bank 150.

Thunder Road est une de trois pistes qui sera l'hôte de la ACT Late Model Tour à deux reprises en 2018. La série reviendra, dimanche, le 2 septembre pour la 40^e Classique de la fête du Travail Coca-Cola 200 (Labor Day Classic). Il s'agit de la 9^e manche et la plus longue épreuve du calendrier.

Les deux autres pistes qui seront visitées à deux reprises reviennent au calendrier après une année d'absence. Oxford Plains Speedway (Oxford, M.E.), accueillera la série pour une paire de 150 tours, qui seront respectivement la 3^e et 8^e manche du calendrier. La première épreuve sera disputée le dimanche, 20 mai, tandis que la deuxième sera le samedi, 25 août dans le cadre des festivités de l'Oxford 250.

La piste Speedway 51 (Groveton, N.H.) sera la troisième piste à accueillir l'ACT Late Model Tour à deux reprises. Le Caron Fabrication 151 se tiendra samedi, le 2 juin et le Kingdom Gravel 151 se tiendra le 14 juillet. Il s'agit de la 4^e et 6^e manche du calendrier.

Waterford Speedbowl (Waterford, C.T.) effectuera est à nouveau au calendrier avec une épreuve de 150 tours, samedi, le 16 juin. Le Tour fera sa visite annuelle au circuit White Mountain Motorsports Park (N. Woodstock, N.H.) pour le White Mountain 150, samedi, le 4 août. Après l'épreuve de la fête du travail à Thunder Road, le Tour se dirigera au Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park dans le cadre des Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing, pour disputer le World Series 75 et le couronnement de son champion.

ACT Late Model Tour Announces 2018 Schedule of Events

Waterbury, Vt. – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials have announced the 2018 schedule of events for the ACT Late Model Tour. Ten events are scheduled at seven tracks located in four different U.S. states.

As has been custom in recent years, the 2018 season is scheduled to open with the New Hampshire Governor's Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H. on Sunday, April 15. The series will then head to Barre, Vt.'s Thunder Road Speedbowl on Sunday, April 29 for the 20^th Community Bank 150.

Thunder Road is one of three tracks that will host two ACT Late Model Tour events in 2018. ACT will return to Thunder Road on Sunday, September 2 for the 40^th Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic 200. The ninth event on the schedule will also be the longest event of the season.

The other two tracks hosting multiple events in 2018 are tracks that return to the ACT schedule after a one-season absence. Maine's Oxford Plains Speedway will hold a pair of 150-lap ACT events, which will be the third and eighth events on the schedule. The first event is scheduled for Sunday, May 20, while the second event will be run on Saturday, August 25 as part of Oxford 250 Weekend. They will be the only events held in the state of Maine.

Groveton, N.H.'s Speedway 51 will be the third track to hold two ACT events next season. The Caron Fabrication 151 will be held on Saturday, June 2 followed by the J.P. Sicard Inc. & Kingdom Gravel 151 on Saturday, July 14. They will be the fourth and sixth events, respectively, on the ACT schedule.

Connecticut's Waterford Speedbowl will also return to the ACT schedule in 2018 with a 150-lap event on Saturday, June 16. The Tour will make its annual visit to N. Woodstock, N.H.'s White Mountain Motorsports Park for the White Mountain 150 on Saturday, August 4. After the Labor Day event at Thunder Road, ACT will crown its champion in the season-ending World Series 75 at Connecticut's Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on Saturday, October 13 as part of the Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing.

LA 50^E ÉDITION DU SNOWBALL DERBY:

UNE COURSE DE PRESTIGE POUR TERMINER LA SAISON DE RAPHAËL LESSARD

Une autre saison de course automobile prendra fin en fin de semaine pour Raphaël Lessard, le jeune pilote de St-Joseph-de-Beauce, alors qu'il participera à la 50e édition du prestigieux Snowball Derby, au Five Flags Speedway de Pensacola, Floride, dimanche après midi, le 3 décembre. Cette course de 300 tours sera, pour le pilote du programme de développement Toyota (TRD), sa 23^e et dernière course de la saison 2017.

On se souviendra que lors de cette même course en 2017, Raphaêl avait terminé 10^e après avoir pris la 31^eplace sur la grille de départ. Cette performance lui avait valu plusieurs éloges, considérant qu'il fut impliqué dans un incident de course au 95^etour qui l'avait forcé à rentrer aux puits. Le pilote de la Toyota Camry #99 va participer à la 1^re séance de qualification, vendredi soir, parmi 65 des meilleurs pilotes de Super Late Model en Amérique du Nord, dont Kyle Bush pilote régulier en NASCAR Monster Energy Cup, qui se disputeront l'une des 37 positions sur la grille de départ.

Waterbury, Vt. – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park officials have announced that the ACT Late Model Tour will return to the speedway in 2018 for the Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing. ACT will crown their 2018 Champion with a 75-lap event which is scheduled for Saturday, October 13.

Thompson Speedway has hosted the season finale for the ACT Late Model Tour every year since 2015, and the World Series event has consistently been one of the largest draws on the series schedule. Eddie MacDonald, Bobby Therrien, and Brian Hoar have each visited Victory Lane in previous Tour events at the high-banked 5/8-mile oval. Thompson also uses ACT rules in their weekly Late Model division with many of their top drivers participating in the Tour event.

"Since switching to the ACT Late Model rules package, our Late Model division car counts have nearly tripled, and fans have been thrilled with the exciting wheel-to-wheel racing that takes place in the division," Thompson Speedway General Manager Josh Vanada said. "It was a pleasure for us to fulfill one of Tom Curley's wishes to bring the American-Canadian Tour to Thompson for their championship event. Each October, we welcome them back to crown their champion, which has become an annual privilege for us. We look forward to continuing the great tradition under Cris Michaud and Pat Malone's ownership."

Forty-six drivers on voting ballot for Sportsmanship, Most Improved honors

RUTLAND, Vt. – Devil's Bowl Speedway has released the annual voting ballot for its annual special awards, with a total of 46 drivers nominated. The winners of the Sportsmanship and Most Improved Driver trophies, will be announced at the Banquet of Champions on Saturday, January 27 at the Holiday Inn Rutland-Killington in Rutland, Vermont.

Up to six drivers in each racing division are initially nominated by track officials, with the winners decided by a vote of drivers. The Sportsmanship Award goes each year to the driver in each class who display a consistent commitment to competitiveness, fairness, and respect. The Most Improved Driver Award is given to someone who has made noticeable progress in their on-track competitiveness.

Twenty-one of the drivers appear in multiple categories, and for the third consecutive year Sportsman Modified driver Billy Lussier of Fair Haven, Vt., has the most nominations. Lussier appears on the Sportsmanship ballot for both the 1/2-mile Asphalt Track at Devil's Bowl and the 3/10-mile Dirt Track, as well as the Most Improved ballot for the dirt.

Others with multiple nods include Sportsman Modified rookie James Fadden; Super Stock drivers Ronnie Alger, Jared Blake, Lou Gancarz, R.J. Germain, Dylan Rabtoy, Tony Salerno, and Brett Wood; Mini Stock racers Jake Barrows, Johnny Bruno, Chris Charbonneau, Dakota Desabrais, Andrew FitzGerald, Roo Forrest, Shawn Moquin, Mike Preston, Willie Rice, and Kaleb Shepard; and 500cc Mini Sprint drivers Colby Beinhaur and Cody O'Brien.

Additional special award recipients to be announced at the Banquet of Champions include Devil's Bowl Speedway's highest honors: The Award of Excellence, the Dedication Award, and the John Bruno Award, presented to someone who has made significant lifetime contributions to racing while maintaining high standards of conduct and respect on and off the track.

Tickets for the Banquet of Champions are available at $48 for adults and $28 for kids age 13 and under; drivers must purchase a ticket and be present to receive awards.
