DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 17, 2023) – Building off one of the most successful seasons in NASCAR Pinty's Series history, NASCAR today announced the 2023 schedule, featuring a record 14 races across Canada.

With the success of last year's dirt debut race at Ohsweken Speedway, the track will return to the schedule as a double-header event on Monday, Aug. 14 and Tuesday, Aug. 15.

In addition, teams will make the journey back to Newfoundland and Labrador for another thrilling event at Eastbound International Speedway.

Altogether, the series will visit 11 different tracks in five provinces.

"The NASCAR Pinty's Series has delivered great racing and exciting events across Canada for 16 years and next season will be our best one yet," said Tony Spiteri, General Manager, NASCAR Canada. "Last year was an overwhelming success for everybody associated with the Pinty's Series with increased interest from fans, competitors and potential partners. The 2023 schedule will continue to deliver the thrilling side-by-side racing that defines NASCAR and the Pinty's Series."

The season opens at Sunset Speedway (May 13) for the fourth consecutive year and concludes at Delaware Speedway (Sept. 24) where Marc-Antoine Camirand capped off a memorable season with his first NASCAR Pinty's Series championship last September.

The series will once again boast the most diverse schedule in NASCAR with seven short track oval races, five road course / street races and two dirt track races.

In 2023, the series will also celebrate its 200th race at Ohsweken Speedway with the start of the Tuesday race date.

Other highlights of the 2023 schedule include:

  • Fan-favorite street course events in Toronto and the 53rd annual Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (GP3R). Kevin Lacroix won in Toronto this year, his second of three road course wins last season.  Alex Guenette followed his GP3R win with a multi-year deal at Ed Hakonson Racing.

  • Two races at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP), including the traditional Victoria Day weekend race on Sunday, May 21. The second visit will be the season's penultimate race on Sunday, Sept 3.

  • The mid-season Western Swing will bring three races to Alberta and Saskatchewan – one at Edmonton International Raceway and twin features at Sutherland Automotive Speedway (Saskatoon).

The 2022 season hit many milestones including a record-tying eight different winners, three first-time winners (aged 18, 26 and 29 at the time of their first win), and an average field size of 23.6 cars, the series' highest count since 2013.

All 2023 races will air on TSN and RDS. Start times and complete broadcast and streaming schedules will be released at a later date.

Fans of action with the Trailers Plus Canadian Legend Car Series have become familiar with the exciting brand of racing the tour brings to every event on the schedule and last year's line-up was no exception to the rule.

During the 2022 season, 41 different drivers scored points during the tour's shows at Sunset, Sauble, Flamboro and Peterborough Speedways. Overall accolades were handed-out during their championship celebration a few weeks ago but the true highlight of the annual performance is shown in how teams compared in the INEX championship standings that show regional results from different areas of North America.

Based on the strength of his 8 main event wins and 11 top-5 finishes, Parker Traves clinched the most recent Canadian Legend Car Series point title. The driver of the No. 60 was also named the INEX Central Canadian Semi Pro champion. Former series winner Adam Cuthbertson took the Pro honours, with Joe Adams claiming the Central Canadian Masters accolades. Running a limited local schedule recently, Matt Haufe was also recognized for his 2022 Central Canadian road course racing success. Canadian Legend Car Series spokesperson Kevin Foisy says it is great to see the tour regulars earn some time in the spotlight.

"Solid car counts and great racing were our friends across the board throughout the 2022 season," explained Kevin Foisy. "It was a great year and to have so many of our drivers acknowledged for their performance is a major feather in the cap for our teams. It's the kind of result everyone hopes for and gives us a strong footing as the tour heads into the 2023 line-up."

Foisy says that while series officials expect to release the new itinerary early in the new year, a few teams including himself, Josh Inglis and Steve Gareau will take a racing vacation and head to the running of the Winter Nationals – February 12th to 17th – at Citrus County Speedway in Inverness, Florida. Last season's champion Parker Traves, Nick Portt and Foisy will head to Music City USA – Nashville, Tennessee – for a week of racing in the 2023 Nashville Spring Series. April 11th to 13th at Highland Rim Speedway. April 14th and 15th at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

Canadian Legend Car officials would like to thank the team at title sponsor Trailer Plus for their continued support of the series, as well as Peter Smith GM, Simcoe County Auto & RV Outlet, Bay Marine, Reid Insulation, Wiarton Home Hardware, Skelton Truck Lines, Visco Industrial Traction – NAPA, A/C Plus Automotive, KOD Disposal and RW Electric.

Josiasse. "Special guest divisions have long been the perfect compliment for our Saturday night schedule and the 2023 line-up is no exception. We're expecting additional groups – including the Ontario Modifieds Racing Series and Canadian Legend Cars – to add their timetables to the mix shortly, with our full calendar released early in the new year."

Daytona Beach, FL and Charlotte, NC (December 15, 2022) – NASCAR and RealResponse, the award-winning reporting platform for athletic teams and organizations, today announced a partnership that provides NASCAR and national series industry members with a safe and anonymous tool to secure feedback, report concerns and seek assistance from professionals in countless areas of expertise.

RealResponse is the industry leader in providing a platform for safe and secure feedback, monitoring and anonymous reporting. The partnership will provide any NASCAR national series team member with the ability to confidentially reach out to express concerns or report issues via a customized communication tool. NASCAR personnel receive the encrypted and anonymous messages directly and designate a subject matter expert to respond immediately to the concern.

Concerns can range from competition-based items such as gambling or integrity, safety and security, abuse or harassment, or for seeking mental health support. The identity of the industry member reaching out is protected through the RealResponse reporting program, ensuring anonymity.

"NASCAR wanted to be proactive in providing a tool for industry members such as drivers, crew and other team personnel to safely reach out for help," said Meghan Miley, Managing Director of Racing Operations for NASCAR. "In partnering with RealResponse, we now have a confidential method for reporting. We don't have a limit to the types of reports industry members can submit, and we can ensure their privacy as they reach out for anonymous support at any time."

RealResponse was launched in 2016 by former NCAA Division I student-athlete David Chadwick, who saw a need for athletes to have a safe and confidential way to bring feedback to their athletic administration. Today, numerous sport governing bodies, organizations and teams such MLB, the NFLPA and NFL teams, USA Swimming and other Olympic organizations, the National Women's Soccer League, and a multitude of colleges and universities work with RealResponse to provide the same service.

"We are honored to engage in this historic partnership with NASCAR," said David Chadwick, Founder and CEO of RealResponse. "NASCAR executives recognize the responsibility to make the sport of racing safer, more inclusive and more valuable in the eyes every stakeholder involved in the sport. Their embrace of RealResponse sends a clear message that the health and safety of its community members away from the track is as important as safety of drivers on race day."

The program was introduced to the NASCAR national series teams in October.
