Running since 1997 as Canada's top educational racing program for kids, the Krown Rust Control Junior Racing League is a program for 8-17 year olds that teaches the ins and outs of stock car racing through both on-track competition and classroom sessions. The racing is divided into two divisions, the Junior Division (8-12 years old) and the Senior Division (13-17 years old). Drivers race half-scale vehicles around a special infield road course at the historic speedway.
Twenty-eight drivers are currently active in league competition and variety of drivers has gone to victory lane this season. In the Junior Division Piper Adams (#70) of London won the season opener with Owen Corriveau (#86) of Strathroy winning week two. Austin Arnell (#29) of Thedford is on a streak with back to back feature wins in the most recent events. Daniel Chrisjohn (#20 of London has a pair of wins in the competitive senior division. Izak Gordon (#18) of Thedford and Dakota Charters (#26) of London have one win each.

The current class of drivers continue to build their skills on the track. While the first few events of the season are often a challenge for the drivers, improvement has been especially evident among the youngest drivers in the Junior Division which has six rookies in the field.
Drivers in the league always appreciate the support of spectators. Although the crowd is mostly made up of family and friends everyone is welcome at the events. Competition for the Krown Junior Racing League runs every Wednesday at 6:30 pm until the division's championship night on August 21.
