Waterbury, VT—The stars of the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) will visit Devil's Bowl Speedway in West Haven, VT for the People's United Bank 100 on Saturday, June 6. Many Tour drivers will be looking for their first win at a track that two ACT Champions have had a firm grip on.

 

Dover, NH's Wayne Helliwell Jr. and Williston, VT's Brian Hoar have combined to win all five ACT Tour events at Devil's Bowl since the series began visiting the ½-mile oval in 2011. Two-time ACT Tour Champion Helliwell won three straight races in 2012 and 2013, while eight-time Champion Hoar captured the 2011 and 2014 events. Both competitors will try to add to their win totals on Saturday.

 

Defending ACT Champion Joey Polewarczyk Jr. is the leading candidate to topple the Helliwell/Hoar dynasty. Hudson, NH's "Joey Pole" looked to have the 2014 event in hand after building a straightaway lead in the second half of the race. But Hoar got the jump on the final restart with eight laps to go, relegating Pole to a disappointing runner-up finish.

 

"We've been to Devil's Bowl quite a few times now, and I feel like we've had at least two or three opportunities to win a race – especially last year," Pole said. "I felt like that one got stolen away from us, and I've been anxious to get back there ever since."

 

A tight points battle between Pole and Helliwell will heighten the intensity. Each driver has already won two races this season, and the point lead has changed hands after three of the last four events. Helliwell currently holds a nine-point edge as the season nears its halfway point.

 

"The season goes by so quick, and every race counts and means a lot," Pole added. "But it's fun. The last few years it's been kind of a runaway points lead, and you kind of know who's going to win it after about three-quarters of the races. But I don't foresee it being that way this year. I think it's going to be tight between Wayne and myself, and I think that's exciting for everyone involved."

 

A number of Tour regulars are also in position to take down the established guard. East Montpelier, VT's Emily Packard won three weekly events at Devil's Bowl in 2014 and currently sits tied for fifth in Tour points with Brad Babb. Windham, ME's Babb will be looking for his second win of the season after an electrical failure cut short a strong run at Speedway 51 last Saturday.

 

Fellow Maine driver Travis Stearns has multiple runner-up finishes at Devil's Bowl in long-distance events and currently sits third in the Tour standings. Seventh-place points driver Brandon Atkins won the weekly opener on May 9 and has stated that Devil's Bowl is his favorite track. Nick Sweet has a trio of Vermont State Championship wins at the speedway and is looking to get back on track after a crash at Speedway 51.

 

The ACT People's United Bank 100 will be held on Saturday, June 6, with post time at 6:00pm. The pit gates open at 12:30pm and the front gate at 3:00pm. Admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, and free for kids 12 and under.

CHARLOTTE, NC (June 3) – The Pro All Stars Series South (PASS) Super Late Models return to action this weekend for their first of two trips in 2015 to South Boston Speedway in Virginia.  The South's longest running Super Late Model division will race for 150 green flag laps and will headline an exciting night of racing which will include Twin 75s for the NASCAR Late Model Stocks and feature racing for the USAC Eastern Midgets and Legends cars.

Legends racing graduate Trey Jarrell is in his second season of racing PASS South Super Late Models and has shown steady improvement since first stepping into the heavier, more powerful machines.  Hailing from nearby Martinsville, VA, Jarrell says there is added excitement any time he gets to race at South Boston Speedway.

"South Boston is my favorite racetrack and it really seems to suit my driving style well," says Jarrell, driver of the Roger Jarrell/Reedy Racing Ford #12.  "Aside from 2012 when I ran a Late Model Stock at Motor Mile Speedway, my racing events have primarily taken place in the Carolinas, so I have few chances to race on my home turf.  It's nice to race at a great facility like South Boston when we get the chance to be close to home.  It's also never bad to see a few extra Trey Jarrell fans in the grandstands now and again."

Jarrell competed in both PASS South Super Late Model events at South Boston Speedway in 2013, finishing eighth in this same event last June.  He believes those experiences, coupled with more knowledge of Super Late Models in general, will give him the edge he needs to score his first win in a stock car.

"I didn't anticipate how much grip the surface at SoBo had last year and I saved my tires a little too much," says Jarrell.  "I am going to be more aggressive this year.  I also learned more about the line for Supers last year.  I tried to take what I learned from watching Late Model Stocks and apply it to the Super, but I realized the Super Lates are happy running a distinctly different line around SoBo."

Jarrell has even more reason to be excited about racing at South Boston this weekend.  The recent high school graduate is coming off his best career PASS South Super Late Model finish.  Jarrell finished third in the Daniel Boone Classic at Kingsport Speedway, despite knocking the nose off of his Ford in an early race incident.

"As a team, we have known all along we are capable of contending for wins and running up front and it was great validation for us to see a top three result," said Jarrell.   "We are all going to South Boston with a spring in our step and a boost in confidence. Last year we had to deal with a learning curve that I contributed to due to my inexperience in Super Late Models.  I didn't know what feel our racecar needed to have.  Now that I am figuring out these cars, I think our Reedy Racing team is poised for success."

As entries continue to come in, a strong group of contenders have already entered for this weekend's race.  Jarrell will be joined on Saturday night by fellow Virginia natives Tim Pinion and Matt Bowling, who will be competing for Woodman Racing.  Bowling, a former Late Model Stock track champion at SoBo, will be making his first career PASS Super Late Model start Saturdaynight at South Boston.  PASS South points leader Zane Smith will be seeking his third straight series win.  Teammate Matt Craig, along with fellow championship contenders Tate Fogleman and Jeff Batten, will be looking for their first career wins.  Veteran Brandon Ward and Jared Fryar will each be making their second starts of the season, while Clay Rogers steps behind the wheel of the Coulter Motorsports entry for the first time in 2015.  Michigan's Robby Lyons will also be in action as the Chad Finley Motorsports teams looks to make their first ever PASS South Super Late Model start.

Action begins on Friday, June 5 with optional practice at South Boston Speedway for all divisions from 10 AM - 4 PM.  OnSaturday, June 6, pit gates open at Noon, with rotating practice starting at 2 PM, followed by qualifying at 4:45 PM, and main event racing featuring the PASS South Super Late Models, NASCAR Late Model Stocks, USAC Eastern Midgets and Legends at 7 PM.  PASS South Super Late Model entry forms and the full weekend schedule for South Boston Speedway can be found at ProAllStarsSeries.com.

- Autodrome Granby. Le traditionnel championnat de l'Estrie concorde avec la venue de la série Ultime Prostock, une nouvelle confrontation québeco-ontarienne. 

 

Modifiés (2 x 35 tours)

 

La pluie a ruiné les deux dernières années du championnat annuel de l'Estrie. Le dernier gagnant est François Bernier #49 (2011-2012) qui sera d'ailleurs des nôtres dans le deuxième bolide de son frère ce vendredi. Mario Clair #22C, le meneur actuel dans le classement de Granby a aussi remporté cette épreuve à deux reprises soit en 2005 et 2010. Si l'un des deux gagne, il marquera l'histoire avec un record de trois victoires. David Hébert #ONE est actuellement ex-aequo avec Mario Clair en première place du classement de Granby. Hébert n'a cependant pas encore de victoires à son actif. Yan Bussière #21, troisième avec seulement 3 points derrière eux, remet ça ce vendredi tel que prédit.

Sportsman (30 tours)

Martin Pelletier #92P mène actuellement le cumul des points de Granby à 16 points de Martin Hébert #43. Ce dernier pourrait répéter son exploit de 2010 en gagnant le championnat de l'Estrie. Dany Gagné #90 voudrait sûrement remporter ce titre que son père Robert (#90 aussi)a obtenu en 2006 et 2009. Guy Ouellette #32 est actuellement troisième dans le fond de points après sa victoire de la semaine dernière.

Prostock (2 x 20 tours)

La série Ultime Prostock vient en quelque sorte remplacer la série Mohawk dont le dernier gagnant fut Stéphane Lemire #115. Celui-ci voudra se déloger de la troisième place de la série en faisant bien dans les deux finales de Granby vendredi et les deux suivantes le lendemain au RPM Speedway. C'est notre champion défendant, Jocelyn Roy #48 qui mène la série devant Ghislain Valade #99 actuellement le meneur dans le classement de Cornwall. Dave Bissonnette #47, qui domine le fond de points de Granby sera rejoint de plusieurs compatriotes ontariens dont Marc Lalonde #8, Terry Ladouceur #74 et Trevor Gaucher #5. Stéphane Lebrun #6 de Gatineau sera aussi parmi nous.

Sport Compact (15 tours)

Guillaume Daoust #24 qu'on a vu bien fier de la victoire du pilote qu'il commandite, Marc Dagenais #15 lors de sa dernière victoire à Cornwall veut quand même le dominer à leur piste maison ! Le groupe accueille une recrue féminine Nancy Landry #D1, mais comme dans toute bonne compétition, elle n'aura pas de traitement de faveur ! Le seul pilote de Sport Compact toujours actif ayant déjà gagné lors du championnat de l'Estrie est Bruno Lafontaine en 2007 alors qu'il portait le #45. Il pilote maintenant le #19 après le #51 l'an dernier. Souffrirait-t-il d'un dédoublement de numéros ?

35-lap main event pays $1,000-to-win on Wednesday, June 3

WEEDSPORT, N.Y. – June 2, 2015 – DIRTcar Sportsman Modified drivers from New York, Ontario and Quebec will strap in Wednesday, June 3, at Can-Am Motorsports Park in LaFargeville, N.Y., in pursuit of the $1,000 top prize on Bear World Discount Beverage/Blinky's Liquors Night.

The 35-lap main event is the second series race of the season. The DIRTcar Sportsman Series moves to Autodrome Drummond in Drummondville, Quebec, Monday, July 20.

St. Catherines, Ontario rivals Brad Rouse and James Michael Friesen were 1-2 in a photo finish in the series opener at Fulton Speedway.

The Merrittville Speedway stars will go up against 2014 DIRTcar Sportsman champion Mathieu Desjardins of Sorel, Quebec, 2014 Brockville Ontario Speedway champion Shane Pecore and top Can-Am runners such as Josh VanBrocklin and Taylor Caprara of Watertown, NY, Anthony Stockman and Jessica Powers of Kingston, ONT.

Wednesday's race card includes a Pro Street $500-to-win, $100-to-start event and a $500-to-win Rush DIRT Late Model event.

Post time is 7:30 p.m. Grandstands open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is Adults/$12, ages 13-15/$10, ages 12 and under free when accompanied by an adult.

Three-time winner looking for ACT milestone at Rutland County track

WEST HAVEN, VT – Stock car driver Emily Packard returns to Devil's Bowl Speedway on Saturday night with a mission: Win the People's United Bank 100.  The East Montpelier, VT native will use the annual American-Canadian Tour Late Model event to kick off a big week and hopes that she can celebrate with what would be an historic breakthrough ACT victory.

The People's United Bank 100 opens a busy stretch for the 18 year-old that includes her graduation from U-32 High School in Montpelier.  Packard is also simultaneously completing her freshman year at the Community College of Vermont, where she has made the Dean's List while working toward a business degree.

Packard is focusing solely on the ACT Late Model Tour schedule in 2015, but racked up three wins as a weekly competitor at the Rutland County track last year.  While the People's United Bank 100 marks the sixth ACT time has visited Devil's Bowl, it is the first ACT race to be held at night on the fast half-mile; Packard hopes that her experience at the track will give her an advantage over the touring ACT stars.

"I'm really excited to get back to Devil's Bowl.  I've been in Rutland a lot for college, but I've missed racing there," Packard said.  "A lot of Devil's Bowl fans have asked me where I've been, so it'll be good to see them.  My team goes to every race thinking we have a shot to win, but especially at Devil's Bowl.  We have a lot of laps there and we know what the track conditions are like at night.  I hope that gives us an advantage."

History is on Packard's side, as she has finishes of second and third in the last two 100-lap Late Model races under the lights at Devil's Bowl.  She will try to become only the second woman to win an American-Canadian Tour event at the People's United Bank 100, and the first since Tracie Bellerose 14 years ago.

Packard will face fellow ACT stars Wayne Helliwell Jr., Joey Polewarczyk Jr., Brian Hoar, Nick Sweet, Brandon Atkins, Travis Stearns, and Brad Babb, as well as home track drivers Josh Masterson and top rookie Richard Lowrey III. Helliwell and Hoar have combined to win all five previous ACT events at Devil's Bowl, while Sweet has three 100-lap victories there.  Atkins won a 50-lapper on opening night at Devil's Bowl last month, and Masterson won on May 23 and holds the point lead in the weekly standings.

The People's United Bank event on Saturday, June 6 will also see action for the Bond Auto Parts Modified, Brileya's Chrysler-Jeep Renegade, and Portland Glass Mini Stock divisions, along with a kids' racecar poster drawing contest.  General admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, and free for kids age 12 and under.  Green flag racing begins at 6:00 p.m.

Après un début de saison éblouissant, l'Autodrome St-Eustache vous présentera le 2e programme de la saison, samedi prochainle 6 juin. Ce sont les 5 divisions survoltées de l'ASE qui seront en piste lors de cette soirée présentée par Whelen, le partenaire officiel de la série NASCAR All American.

NASCAR Sportsman Lucas Oil

Superbe spectacle lors de la 1ère épreuve de la saison où la recrue Éric Gagnon #7 de Laval a décroché sa 1ère victoire en carrière dans cette série. Ce dernier aura fort à faire pour répéter l'exploit, alors que les vétérans voudront rebondir. Parmi eux, Steve Lagacé #3 de Mirabel, qui a embrassé  le muret de la courbe #4, voudra regagner les précieux points perdus lors de cette épreuve. Même son de cloche pour le champion en titre Jean-François Bouvrette #38 de St-Jérôme, qui a lui aussi vu sa soirée de travail se terminer abruptement suite à un contact avec la voiture de Martin Lacombe #03 de Terrebonne.

NASCAR Sport Compacte MRQ

Si au cours de la dernière saison de la LNH, Budweiser a dépeint St-Jérôme comme ville des buts, nous pourrions affirmer que la Ville de Ste-Marthe-sur-le-Lac est celle de la série NASCAR Sport Compacte MRQ. En effet  parmi ses résidents, mentionnons les champions des 3 dernières saisons, soit Jason Morand en 2012 et Patrick Boucher en 2013-2014. La saison est encore très jeune, mais c'est avec une nette domination qu'un autre de ses résidents a remporté l'épreuve du 23 mai dernier, en l'occurrence Yannick Miron #90. Ce dernier voudra sans aucun doute perpétuer la tradition, mais les autres pilotes issus d'ailleurs au Québec voudront sans l'ombre d'un doute, mettre un terme à cette dynastie.

NASCAR Légende Modifiée

Le pilote, qui n'a plus besoin de présentation, Steve Côté #7 de l'Île-Bizard, est venu chercher la victoire lors de l'ouverture de la saison NASCAR Légende Modifiée. Celui-ci vise le championnat 2015 de cette division, mais parions que ses adversaires ne sont pas du même avis et qu'ils ne lui faciliteront pas la tâche. De plus, le retour en piste de la voiture #10 de Joe Mayer de Laval pourrait bien venir brouiller les cartes samedi prochain. Est-ce que ce dernier sera au volant de la #10 ou bien le confiera-t-il à un autre pilote, lui qui a gradué dans la série NASCAR Sportsman Lucas Oil cette saison.

Challenge 4 Meilleur Ramoneur

Plus de 24 pilotes ont pris le départ le 23 mai dernier et ceux-ci ont tenu en haleine les amateurs pendant les 25 tours de cette épreuve. Destitué de la victoire en raison d'une suspension non-conforme, Vincent Fournier #20, voudra certainement faire taire ses détracteurs en allant cueillir le drapeau quadrillé au volant d'une voiture réglementaire. Pour ce faire, il devra se dresser devant les Jean-Philippe Duguay #18, Louis-Alexandre Dupuis #66 et autres pilotes dominant de cette division.

358 Modifiés

Les rugissements de ces bolides se feront entendre pour une 1ère finale de 20 tours avant de voir le peloton s'inverser pour le départ de la seconde finale du même nombre de tour. Trahi par sa mécanique lors d'essais le 23 mai dernier, Roger Labrèche Jr #100, sera à surveiller pour confronter le vainqueur de la 1ère épreuve, l'américain Chris Cayea #18.

Toute une soirée en perspective lors de ce 2e programme de la saison 2015, alors que les puits ouvriront à 14h00 et l'entrée aux spectateurs à 15h30. Le signal de départ des séances de qualifications aura lieu à 18h30alors que celui des finales de la soirée est prévu pour 19h45. Suite au succès de l'événement lors de l'ouverture de la saison 2015, les spectateurs auront à nouveau l'occasion de rencontrer leurs pilotes NASCAR Sportsman Lucas Oil favoris sur la piste. Le tarif en admission générale est de 20.00 $ pour les adultes, 10.00 $ pour les 13 à 17 ans et est GRATUIT pour les 12 ans et moins. L'admission dans les puits est de 25.00 $ alors que pour les 12 ans et moins, le tarif est de 10.00 $.

Groveton, NH – Two-time American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Champion Wayne Helliwell Jr. was in the right place at the right time on Saturday night, taking his second win of the season in the rain-shortened Generation Next 151 at Speedway 51 in Groveton, NH.

 

Helliwell got the break on Rowley, MA's Eddie MacDonald on a lap-85 restart and was in front when the caution flew for Travis Stearns' spin a lap later. A caution for rain came out on the subsequent restart. Although the race was able to resume, the rains returned just five laps later, forcing the conclusion of the event after 91 of the scheduled 151 laps.

 

Defending Fall Brawl winner MacDonald took the lead from polesitter Mike Bailey on the opening lap and led the first 12 circuits before two-time Thunder Road Late Model Champion Derrick O'Donnell drove around him on the outside. MacDonald grabbed the lead back for a single circuit following a lap-20 restart, but O'Donnell reassumed command and led a four-car breakaway that included Helliwell and local racer Jeff Marshall.

 

MacDonald retook the lead for a third time following a lap-75 caution and held it through a lap-83 restart. The race's fourth caution came out on lap 85 for a hard crash involving Jason Corliss and Jimmy Hebert. Helliwell finally got the break on that restart and was in front at the time of the race's premature end.

 

O'Donnell and Marshall finished second and third as MacDonald faded on the final sprint. Joey Polewarczyk Jr. drove from the 18th starting position to finish fourth, followed by defending event winner Kyle Welch in fifth. Derek Ming, MacDonald, D.J. Shaw, Cody Blake, and Tyler Cahoon completed the top-10.

 

Heat race wins went to MacDonald, Ming, Shawn Swallow, and Corliss. O'Donnell, Corey Mason, and Boomer Morris won the consis, while Cody Blake took the Last Chance B-Feature.

 

Helliwell unofficially retakes the point lead from Polewarczyk heading into the ACT Tour's next race at Devil's Bowl Speedway in West Haven, VT on Saturday, June 6. Post time for the 100-lap event is 6:00pm.

Linc Brown's Strong Pro Late Model Debut Derailed by a Charging System Glitch

Every driver in the field was looking to claim their place in motorsports history. Not just for earning the checkered flag in a 100 lap marquee event, but also being the first to score a victory in the APC Pro Late Model Series.

 

After putting his own racing career on hold to serve as coach and mentor for his daughter Bailey during her transition from the Kawartha-Durham Kart Club to the INEX Ontario Legends Series, Linc Brown was anxious to take the green flag in the inaugural showdown, staged Saturday, May 23rd at Sunset Speedway, just north of Toronto. With previous experience in the Late Model divisions at Kawartha Speedway and the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park/Mosport Speedway oval – as well as on the former Alstar Late Model Tour – the 49 year-old from Colborne, Ontario did his homework to make sure the #99 Dodge was ready for battle.

 

"Above anything else, I wanted to have a competitive car," confided Brown. "The last thing any racer wants is to look like they don't belong. We went through a detailed checklist and the effort paid-off, as we were 11th quickest in the pre-race practice session and after a gear change, qualified 17th out of the 31 teams to time trial."

 

Brown says the gear change was an effort to save tires in the feature and that goal was accomplished, as the veteran made steady progress through the field and was running 9th by the halfway point. The car was strong and the driver was confident in landing a top 5 finish at end of the day, until an electrical problem in the charging system killed the battery voltage and consequently, the ignition system. The car shut-off during a caution period with 56 laps complete, ending his day.

 

"Considering it was our first outing in almost 2 years, there were a number of positive experiences to take away from the run," said Brown. "It was great to have my whole family with me for the weekend. They're familiar with the drill, making things less stressful and a strong outing for everyone. Jamie Wagar helped get the car ready and will crew at the Flamboro show. I also enjoyed having Jay Nash, who came all the way from Kingston and Ian and Andrew Moffatt, who normally crew for my friend Dave Morgan helped in the pits and with communications. Danny and Doug Benedict were also around after the Mini Stock feature to help if needed."

 

Brown says the spotting work by his daughter Bailey earned high praise from others who were helping communicate with teams in the race. Even Ron Pearn – father of NASCAR Sprint Cup crew chief Cole Pearn – was impressed with the 16 year-old's work ethic.

Saint-Pie, QC...  C'était une fin de semaine de 2 jours de courses pour Alain Bergeron et son équipe, mais dame nature aura fait en sorte que seule l'épreuve de Granby aura eu lieu.

Après avoir vu sa voiture détruite, lors d'une violente sortie de piste survenue à la piste de Merrittville, en début de saison, Alain Bergeron et son équipe avait remontée une voiture pour cette fin de semaine, mais sans avoir été en mesure de tester cette nouvelle voiture.

La soirée de vendredi soir à Granby s'est tout de même très bien déroulée puisque le pilote de Saint-Pie a terminé au quatrième rang lors de la finale A-Main. Il avait pris le départ du 9e rang.  En qualification, c'est de la dernière position sur la grille de départ que Bergeron réussi a remonter tous ses adversaires pour remporter la course.

Malheureusement, la course de samedi fut annulée à cause de la mauvaise température.

Deux sprints #10 donnent le départ : celui de Paulie Colagiovanni (10C) et Jeff Cook qui a gagné à deux reprises à Granby par le passé. On arrive vite à faire la différence entre la recrue Colagiovanni et l'expérimenté Cook. Cook mène jusqu'au 7ème tour la course. Paulie termine quant à lui en capotage devant l'estrade au 18ème tour alors qu'il était 12ème. Le 90 de Matt Tanner parti 5ème mène la course à partir de la relance du 7ème tour, jusqu'à ce qu'au tour 10, le 55 de Mark Smith la lui prenne. Smith, parti 4ème est resté dans le top trois toute la finale. Tanner tentera tout pour faire Smith sans succès. Ils termineront dans cet ordre : Smith #55, Tanner #90 et Cook #10.

Pour ce qui est de nos Québécois : Alain Bergeron #8B parti 9ème entre dans le top 5 autour du 20ème tour. Il dépasse Jason Barney #87 à deux tours de la fin pour terminer 4ème. Steve Poirier #28FM a éprouvé des problèmes de frein arrière avant même le départ ce qui le fait finir 13ème avec un tour en moins que le reste du peloton. Son neveu a eu plus de chance, le jeune Jordan Poirier #20FM parti 10ème atteindra la cinquième place dans les 5 premiers tours. Jordan sera dépassé par nos locaux Alain Boisvert #73 et Alain Bergeron #8B au tour 10. Dans les deux derniers tours, il dépassera le 422 d'Étienne Girard pour terminer 8ème devant lui.

Andrew Ranger #ONEX parti 4ème dépasse le 22C par l'intérieur et devient 2ème puis premier devant Steve Bernier #25 au premier tour. Il sera dominant jusqu'au tour 34 où Steve a fini de l'étudier pour devenir premier à son tour. Le 73 d'Alain Boisvert parti 7ème montre aussi le résultat de son étude (de la piste), lui qui a terminé 6ème en Sprint. Au 9ème tour, Boisvert est 4ème.  Au 13ème tour, il dépasse le 22C par le bas pour devenir 3ème. David Hébert #ONE parti 9ème parvient 5ème au tour 9. À 10 tours de la fin, il est deuxième et le restera jusqu'à la fin. Yan Bussière #21 et Dominic Dufault #63, à la lumière de leurs résultats prendront peut-être l'habitude de Granby à chaque vendredi, qui sait ?

Sportsman

C'est la victoire des éclopés ! La semaine dernière le 32 de Guy Ouellette et le 1m de Mathieu Desjardins avaient été durement touchés par leur accident. Ils commencent la soirée avec chacun une victoire en qualif. qui vient les rassurer que leur bolide se comporte bien. Michael Richard #3M qui avait quitté la course vendredi passé pour des problèmes mécaniques s'est aussi fait justice ce soir. Parti 2ème, il mène l'épreuve comme il l'avait fait au RPM, il y a deux semaines. Cette fois-ci par contre, il l'a fait jusque sous le drapeau à damier où Guy Ouellette l'a dépassé de quelques poussières. Ouellette parti 8ème dépassait ses adversaires par le bas tandis que Desjardins parti 9ème faisait de même par le haut. La recrue Richard impressionne par son deuxième podium en 4 finales (3ème au RPM). Beau moment de course pour les frères Lajoie qui à partir du 20ème tour se suivaient pour terminer 5ème (Alex) et une 6ème pour Samuel qui verse d'ailleurs sa bourse à Nathan.

Prostock (30 tours)

Richard Bertrand #08 parti 5ème mène de belle façon la moitié de l'épreuve finale jusqu'à un bris de différentiel. Il n'en faut pas davantage au 47B de Dave Bissonnette pour se charger de la pôle. Il sera cependant tenaillé par le 01 de François Adam jusque celui-ci frappe le bas du muret et qu'une crevaison lui fasse perdre ses acquis au 19ème tour. Le 47B trouve alors comme nouveau rival le 115 de Stéphane Lemire. Alain Brochu #12 se rapproche de Lemire par l'intérieur. Jocelyn Roy #48 parti 9ème est 5ème derrière Brochu. Roy #48 et Lemire #115 optent pour la ligne extérieure  où ils sont rapides, mais c'est le 48 qui parvient deuxième à deux tours de la fin.
