Jérémy Bergeron remporte le championnat 

C'est le samedi 17 septembre, à l'Autodrome Chaudière Vallée-Jonction qu'a eu lieu le dernier programme de la saison 2016 de la Série Mini Sportsman Qc lors dernier Round de DMCC Drift. 

Nos jeunes pilotes qui ont participé à 6 programmes cette saison, dont un au Circuit Riverside Speedway Ste-Croix,ont offert une excellente performance aux spectateurs présents. 

Lors de la première finale, s'élançant de la 4e position, le #81 Jérémy Bergeron a rapidement pris la tête du peloton.  Le #71 Nicolas Côté a suivi la ligne du meneur au championnat et s'est glissé une place derrière le suivant de près. 

Alors que nos deux meneurs passaient la ligne d'arrivée, un accrochage a eu lieu entre deux pilotes privant le #37 William Gariepy de prendre le départ de la 2e finale. 

La deuxième finale a donc eu lieu avec un pilote en moins. Pour une deuxième finale, le #81 Jérémy Bergeron commandité par Circuit Riverside Speedway et DMCC Drift a mené la course pendant les 20 tours et a subi la pression du jeune #71 Nicolas Côté de Lévis. Tentant de le dépasser au dernier tour, c'est l'expérience de pilotage de Bergeron qui aura eu le dessus. 

La #36 Sabina Bundic, aux prises avec une voiture survireuse et difficile à maintenir en piste a su rester constante en piste s'assurant ainsi la 3e position au combiné. 

Le dernier podium de la saison 2016 est donc composé du #81 Jérémy Bergeron de Ste-Croix est monté sur la plus haute marche du podium suivi du #71 Nicolas Côté à bord de sa voiture aux couleurs de Létourno Service de Pneus et Métalico. Le podium s'est complété par la #36 Sabina Bundic commandité par VR Victoriaville. 

Confirmant son championnat Jérémy Bergeron devient ainsi le 3e champion de la Série Mini Sportsman; ses deux victoires ainsi que son championnat lui auront valu l'étoile de la course. 

 

Un merci spécial aux pilotes DMCC Drift qui ont permis à nos pilotes de vivre un moment privilégié lors de leur présentation. Félicitation à tous ceux qui ont contribué à la saison 2016. Déjà plusieurs pilotes ont confirmé leur retour pour 2016 et de nouveau seront en piste.

Retour en force pour Martin Roy au Chicagoland Speedway

NASCAR Xfinity – Drive for Safety 300

 

Joliet, IL, le 18 septembre 2016 - Le pilote Martin Roy a repris le volant de belle façon en prenant la 23e place, samedi soir en série NASCAR Xfinity. Après trois mois d'inactivité, il était de retour en piste pour le Drive for Safety 300, au Chicagoland Speedway.

Le pilote et propriétaire de l'écurie King Autosport est heureux des performances de son équipe ce week-end. « J'ai pu gagner des places et montrer nos couleurs tout en préservant la voiture. J'ai réussi à qualifier la voiture Gamache/Côté/Arcopel/Entreposage Fantastik n°90 en 29e place, même en étant prudent pour ne pas risquer un accident inutile », a raconté le pilote de Napierville, dont la dernière course avait eu lieu en juin dernier, au Michigan International Speedway.

Pour Roy, le résultat est grandement satisfaisant : il a réussi à s'approcher du top-20 en conservant la voiture en bon état, et ce, malgré un moteur de second ordre. « Nous avons également réussi un sans-faute lors des arrêts aux puits. À ce titre, nous avons une belle association avec l'équipe de puits de la pilote de la Coupe Sprint Danica Patrick », a poursuivi Roy.

L'équipe King Autosport, qui en est à sa deuxième saison complète en NASCAR Xfinity, progresse aussi au championnat. La voiture Gamache/Côté/Arcopel/Entreposage Fantastik n°90 occupe le 25e rang au classement des propriétaires. 

« Notre programme en NASCAR Xfinity va bon train. La demande pour louer nos voitures augmente, et nous prouvons que nous sommes capables de faire notre place dans la deuxième série de stock-car en importance aux États-Unis », a conclu le propriétaire de King Autosport. La deuxième voiture de l'équipe, pilotée par Dexter Bean, a aussi pris le départ de la course et a dû retraiter aux puits après 36 tours.

La série NASCAR Xfinity, l'antichambre de la Coupe Sprint, revient en action dès samedi prochain, le 24 septembre, du côté du Kentucky Speedway.

Tate Fogleman Takes Long Awaited 1st Career PASS South Win At Hickory

HICKORY, NC (September 24) – Defending Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model Champion, Tate Fogleman, prevailed in a race-long battle with Chris Dilbeck to capture his first career series win in the Catawba Valley 150 on Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway.  With his win, Fogleman and his father, Jay, join Mike and Ben Rowe as the only father-son duo to ever capture wins in the South's oldest Super Late Model tour.

"Yeah, it's definitely been a long time coming, that's for sure," said Fogleman in an emotional victory lane.  "He [Dilbeck] definitely put up a fight there at the end and I had my work cut out for me to get around him.  This has been the closest we've been to victory lane and I just couldn't let that one get away." 

            In qualifying, rookie Kodie Conner captured his first career quick qualifying lap with a time of 14.924 seconds (87.563 MPH). After the top 10 qualifiers redraw, Conner would drop to the ninth starting position, while six-time Hickory winner, Preston Peltier, and Lucas Jones would move to the front row.

            While Peltier would jump into the lead at the start, Conner and fellow PASS South championship contender, Matt Craig, would be plagued with problems.  Conner would suffer a flight right front tire after contact with Jones as they battled for fifth on lap four.  On the restart, Craig would suffer a broken axle, ending his night early with a 26th place finish.  Conner would struggle all night and finish 14th.  Conner now leads the standings over Craig by less than 10 points heading to the championship finale at Concord Speedway onNovember 5.

            Fogleman was able to gain the lead from Peltier on an early restart, only to be passed by seventh place starter, Tyler Church, on lap 20.  Church would continue to lead the early going, but the caution would wave again on lap 40 when Jimmy Doyle and Nick Robinson made hard contact with the backstretch wall.

            After a spin by Tyler Williams and Kaylee Stukas three laps later, June Hickory winner Chris Dilbeck would flex his muscle as he bypassed Church for the lead.  The caution flag waved again on lap 63 for a spin in turn two by Andy Loden.  During the caution, Peltier, who had been dropping back, pitted to fix a power steering issue.

            While Dilbeck continued to lead, Peltier and Loden were dicing their way back up through the field and into the top 10. Following a crash by Justin Laduke with 36 laps to go, Fogleman would get the best of Dilbeck on the restart to move back into the lead.  The leaders would make contact in turn two with 25 laps to go, causing both cars to momentarily get sideways, but they would gather it back in and continue the fight.

            The final caution of the night would wave with 12 laps to go for a scary crash involving Jones and Trey Jarrell as they battled for fourth. Both made contact with the frontstretch wall with Jones careening into a tire barrier entering turn one.  While both cars suffered significant damage, the drivers emerged unscathed. 

On the restart, Fogleman struggled to come up to speed, allowing Dilbeck to go back out front.  Fogleman would not be denied though, tapping Dilbeck in turn four to retake the lead with 10 laps to go.  Fogleman led the rest of the way to take the win over Dilbeck, Peltier, Brandon Setzer, and Loden.  Rounding out the top 10 were Jared Irvan, Jody Measamer, Heath Hindman, Lee Hansard, and Matt Sever.

            The next event will be November 4-5 as the PASS National and PASS South Super Late Model champions will be crowned as part of the 14th Annual North-South Shootout at Concord Speedway.

Loudon, NH – Eddie MacDonald reigned supreme once again at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 24, taking the lead from Jimmy Hebert with five laps to go in the Eighth Annual Auto Parts ACT Invitational en route to his fifth career victory in the event.

 

Rowley, MA's MacDonald started 31st on the grid and was running third to Williamstown, VT's Hebert and Hinesburg, VT's Bobby Therrien when the event's fourth caution came out for a four-car wreck in which both Aaron Fellows and Mark Jenison made hard contact with the turn one wall. Therrien got the jump on the initial restart, but the advantage was erased when Brian Tarbell spun in turn two, bringing the caution back out before a lap was completed and thus sending Hebert back to the point.

 

On the second restart attempt, MacDonald dove three-wide to the inside entering turn one, completing the third-to-first pass on the backstretch. Though Hebert and Alex Labbe dogged MacDonald following a final caution for Jonathan Bouvrette's backstretch spin on lap 46, "The Outlaw" held strong to take home the win and an $8,100 payday.

 

Hebert jumped to the initial lead over polesitter Kyle Welch and looked like the driver to beat for much of the event. Rowland Robinson, Jr. nosed ahead for a circuit following a lap-nine caution for an incident involving Bucky Demers and Donald Theetge, but otherwise it was all Hebert as he and Woody Pitkat drove away from the pack in the middle stages.

 

Therrien and MacDonald came on strong as the race entered its second half, and both had caught Pitkat when Nick Sweet spun exiting turn four to bring out the third caution on lap 35. Hebert was able to fend off a surge by both on the restart, but the pair of cautions with five laps remaining gave MacDonald the break he needed to capture the victory.

 

Hebert settled for second, while Labbe came from the 30th starting position to finish third. Dillon Moltz came home fourth after starting 26th, with Therrien completing the top-five. Tom Carey III took sixth in his first start at "The Magic Mile". Robinson, Pitkat, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., and Ray Parent rounded out the top-10.

 

 

The ACT Late Models head to Barre, VT's Thunder Road Speedbowl nextSaturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2 for the 54th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank. Booth Bros./H.P. Hood Qualifying Day on Saturday will feature time trials and Triple 50 qualifying races to set the 30-car starting field, with the three-segment Milk Bowl on Sunday. Mini Milk Bowls for the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen and Allen Lumber Street Stocks will also be on the card. Post time is 1:00pm both days. Admission is just $30 for a two-day ticket or $10 for a Saturday-only ticket, with kids 12 and under admitted free.

Loudon, NH – Lempster, NH's Kyle Welch and Williamstown, VT's Jimmy Hebert will lead the field to the green for the Eighth Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational at Loudon's New Hampshire Motor Speedway Saturday, September 24.

 

Welch is competing in his fourth Invitational and will be looking for his first top-10 finish. Hebert led the majority of the 2015 Invitational before finishing fifth.

 

A pair of Vermont drivers, John Donahue and Bobby Therrien, will start in row two. Donahue is a winner this season at Barre, VT's Thunder Road, while Therrien captured the ACT Late Model Tour season opener at Maine's Oxford Plains Speedway. Jeff Marshall, Ryan Olsen, Tyler Cahoon, Quinny Welch, Chris Riendeau, and Josh Masterson will complete the top-10 on the grid.

 

Four-time and defending Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational winner Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA will have to come from 31st in the starting line-up. 2010 Invitational winner Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. will start 28th, while 2012 winner Ray Parent will roll off 25th. 2014 winner Wayne Helliwell, Jr. will not compete due to an illness.

 

Polewarczyk led the final practice session for the ACT Late Models, clocking a fast lap of 31.486 seconds. MacDonald was second-fastest, followed by Dillon Moltz, ACT point leader Nick Sweet and Parent. Dany Trepanier and Alex Labbe were the fast Quebec drivers in eighth and ninth, respectively.

 

Another pair of Quebec competitors, Jean-Francois Dery and Donald Theetge, encounted engine problems during the session. Both are attempting to make repairs in time for the Invitational.

 

 

The Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational is scheduled to roll off the grid Saturday, September 24 at 5:00pm as part of Tripleheader Saturday.

Lapcevich Celebrates Pinty's Series Title 
Hathaway Wins Season Finale As Teenager Takes Triple Crown

FRASERVILLE, Ont. – There was a changing of the guard at Kawartha Speedway Sunday after the running of the Kawartha 250.

Jason Hathaway, a veteran who has started every race in the history of the NASCAR Pinty's Series (121), closed out his career as a full-time driver winning the season finale, while 16 year-old rookie Cayden Lapcevich celebrated winning the series championship.

Lapcevich, who initially planned to compete part-time this season, finished the year with three wins and was the only driver to finish in the top-10 in all 12 events.

The Grimsby, Ontario, teenager finished the season 54 points over veteran Andrew Ranger in the largest margin of victory in the standings since 2011. 

Lapcevich's championship title also broke the all-time NASCAR record as the youngest champion in any NASCAR national or touring series, which was set by 2015 Daytona 500 winner Joey Logano (Logano was 17 years, 3 months, 28 days when he won the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East title in 2007).

While Lapcevich celebrated his championship with his family, including his parents Jeff and Sherri Lapcevich, Hathaway was celebrating an emotional victory.

Hathaway, who joins D.J. Kennington as the only driver to start every NASCAR Pinty's Series race since the inaugural season in 2007, scored his last win as a full-time competitor at the same track he scored his first NASCAR Pinty's Series victory back in 2008.

Hathaway qualified seventh – for a race that was postponed due to heavy rain on Saturday – and quickly moved through the field and into the lead on Lap 65.

He remained at the point until pitting under caution on Lap 147. Hathaway returned to the track in eighth-place and started making his way through the field once again to retake the lead with 75 laps remaining when he passed Mark Dilley and never looked back.

It was Hathaway's ninth career NASCAR Pinty's Series win and his third at Kawartha Speedway.

For Lapcevich, it was a mere formality that he start the race to secure the title, but he finished second to Hathaway for his eighth podium finish of the season.

Alex Labbe finished third with Kennington and L.P. Dumoulin completing the top five. 

Dilley, Kerry Micks, Alex Tagliani, Gary Klutt and Derek Lynch rounded out the top 10.

In addition to winning the driver's championship, Lapcevich also secured the Josten's Rookie of the Year title and the owner's title for his mom, Sherri, who serves as the car owner for the No. 76 Fastline Motorsports Dodge.

The Kawartha 250 will air on TSN Sunday, Oct. 2 at 12:30 p.m. ET, and on RDS2, Friday, Oct. 21 at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Lapcevich is the first champion to be crowned in the NASCAR Touring division and he'll join the other six touring and weekly series champions from across the globe on Saturday, Dec. 10 in Charlotte for the NASCAR Night of Champions Touring Awards celebration.

The event will be held at the NASCAR Hall of Fame at the Charlotte Convention Center for the seventh consecutive year.

Lessard fait une démonstration indéniable de son talent de pilote avec une remontée spectaculaire au Myrtle Beach Speedway

 

Myrtle Beach, Caroline du Sud, 17 septembre 2016 - Raphaël Lessard, 15 ans, vient tout juste de creuser son avance au championnat des conducteurs grâce à sa troisième victoire en carrière dans la série CARS Super Late Model Tour. Le pilote de Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce s'illustrait sur le circuit de Myrtle Beach Speedway  dans le cadre du BakerDist.com Honeywell 200 presented by 100.3 The Team en Caroline du Sud pour ce qui était la 8e épreuve d'un calendrier de 10 courses. 

 

Ce ne fût pas une course gagnée d'avance pour Raphaël malgré le fait qu'il avait réussi à qualifier sa Toyota Camry #99 FRL Express/Team Coach Imaging/Toyota/JBLAudio préparée par l'équipe David Gilliland Racing en pole position - avec un record de piste en plus, plus tôt dans la journée. Dès le départ, Raphaël a délibérément perdu beaucoup de positions pour ménager ses pneus, puis, à 40 tours de la fin, le jeune a effectué une remontée pour passer de la 8e à la 4eposition.

 

Un drapeau jaune au 21e tour est venu aider Lessard qui a eu une excellente relance, se faufilant en 2e place derrière Matt Craig. À 9 tours de la fin, Lessard a réussi un dépassement sur Craig et a pris la tête en creusant une avance de plus d'une seconde sur le 2e. Un drapeau jaune est venu rajouter du piquant à 3 tours de la fin. Avec le peloton rassemblé, tout pouvait arriver, mais le jeune pilote s'est détaché du groupe lors de la relance et a gagné la course haut la main. Lessard reste donc en tête du championnat, et creuse même son avance puisque le 2e au classement, Brandon Setzer, a terminé l'épreuve de 100 tours en dernière position. 

 

« C'était une course très stratégique aujourd'hui! Dès le début de la course, j'ai laissé passer tous mes compétiteurs pour ménager mes pneus. C'est une piste très difficile pour les pneus, car ils se désintègrent très vite si on ne fait pas attention. À la fin, c'est moi qui avait les meilleurs pneus car je les avais très bien ménagés. Mon chef d'équipe, Seth Smith, et moi on se parlait beaucoup durant la course pour parler de mes pneus justement. À un certain point, je lui ai demandé la permission d'y aller sans retenue et il m'a laissé faire, ça a été une très bonne décision ! J'aimerais remercier David Gilliland et toute l'équipe qui m'ont encore une fois donné une excellente voiture, je n'aurais pas pu espérer mieux. »

 

Raphaël Lessard prend une sérieuse option sur le championnat des pilotes alors qu'il ne reste que deux courses à la saison : « Pour les deux dernières épreuves en CARS Tour, je vais essayer d'arriver aux courses calme et la tête vide et ne pas trop penser au championnat et faire comme d'habitude!» 

 

La prochaine course de Raphaël Lessard dans la série CARS Super Late Model Toursera le samedi 29 octobre au Hickory Motor Speedway à Hickory en Caroline du Nord.

Scarborough, ME – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) point leader Nick Sweet showed he's still the man to beat in the 2016 championship chase, taking the lead from Eddie MacDonald just before the halfway point and motoring away to a dominating win in the Fall Foliage 150 at Scarborough, ME's Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 17.

 

Barre, VT's Sweet rode in the third position for the first stages of the penultimate event of the year as title challengers MacDonald and Scott Payea battled side-by-side for the top spot. Following the race's second and final caution for Spencer Morse's spin on lap 40, Sweet came to life, eventually going around the outside of MacDonald on lap 63 and never looking back. It was Sweet's third ACT Late Model Tour of the season and second of his career at Beech Ridge.

 

Rowley, MA's MacDonald, the number-three point driver entering the day, started on the pole and led the first 18 laps before number-two point driver Payea got to his outside. The two proceed to fight side-by-side for nearly 20 laps, swapping the lead multiple times while at times separated by mere inches at the line.

 

The fight continued through the first caution on lap 31 when Rowland Robinson Jr. came to a stop entering turn four. MacDonald retook the lead from Payea on the restart, but once Sweet assumed the point, it became a race for second among the rest of the field, as Sweet eventually finished nearly three-quarters of a lap ahead of MacDonald.

 

Jason Corliss finished third in his first career start at Beech Ridge following a battle with Payea in the late stages. Dillon Moltz took fourth, with Bobby Therrien completing the top-five. Ryan Olsen extended his Rookie of the Year point lead with a sixth-place finish, while Payea faded to seventh. Rich Dubeau, Devin O'Connell, and Mike Ziter completed the top-10.

 

With the win, plus the bonus for leading the most laps, Sweet unofficially extends his point lead to 23 points over Payea heading into the ACT 2016 season finale at Connecticut's Thompson Speedway on October 15, as part of the Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing presented by XtraMart. MacDonald unofficially sits 26 points behind Sweet in third.

 

Sweet, MacDonald, Moltz, and the rest of the cars and stars of ACT head to New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 24 for the Eighth Annual Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational as part of Tripleheader Saturday. Post time for the Invitational is 5:00pm. ACT then heads to Barre, VT's Thunder Road for the 54th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank Saturday and Sunday, October 1and 2.

Double objectif pour Kevin Lacroix

Dernière course de la saison. Kevin  Lacroix aura un double objectif à Kawartha, il vise rien de moins qu'un podium mais aussi il tient à défendre sa troisième place au championnat.

Suite aux dernières épreuves sur les circuits ovales, le pilote de la Dodge 74 / Bumper to Bumper / Total / Go Fast sait qu'il peut se battre pour la victoire. C'est un pilote confiant qui s'amène pour disputer le Kawartha 250 dans la populaire série NASCAR Pinty's.  

Pour Kevin Lacroix, la meilleure façon de protéger sa 3e place au championnat, c'est de réaliser une bonne performance sur l'ovale de Kawartha. «  J'aimerais finir l'année sur le podium, dit Kevin. On est dû pour avoir du succès sur un ovale. Nous avons été très compétitif lors des deux dernières épreuves sur ce type de circuit. La voiture est performante et je gère mieux les situations en piste. » Le pilote recrue accuse un retard de 10 points sur le deuxième rang, tout est encore possible, cependant la troisième place n'est pas encore acquise. «  C'est très serré, je vais voir comment se déroule la course. Si mes concurrents pour le 3e rang sont derrière moi, je vais être plus patient, mais par contre s'ils sont devant moi, je devrai passer à l'attaque, je tiens à terminer au 3e rang au championnat. » Pour une première année complète en NASCAR Pinty's, un top 3 au championnat serait un bel accomplissement. 

Lors de la dernière épreuve à l'Autodrome St-Eustache, Lacroix était en excellente position pour s'emparer de son premier podium sur un ovale, toutefois il a été impliqué dans un accident qui est survenu devant lui. Sa voiture a été lourdement endommagée cependant le pilote de la Dodge 74 est confiant de retrouver une voiture aussi compétitive pour Kawartha. « Notre équipe a fait un travail fantastique pour réparer la voiture, dit Kevin. Don [Thomson], notre chef d'équipe m'a assuré que la voiture sera aussi performante qu'à St-Eustache. Je n'ai pas d'inquiétude à ce sujet. »

Lacroix a déjà roulé à Kawartha. « C'est un avantage, on a fait une course ici l'an dernier. On a des données de bases pour ajuster la voiture et on peut se concentrer sur des petits détails lors des essais pour rendre la voiture encore plus compétitive. De mon côté, je ne veux pas pousser trop fort durant les pratiques et risquer d'abimer ma voiture. L'important c'est la course, c'est là que ça va se jouer. »

Les pilotes seront en piste samedi le 17 septembre sur le circuit de Kawartha à Fraserville en Ontario, un ovale de 0,375 milles avec des inclinaisons modérées en virage. L'action va débuter dès 11h30 pour la première des deux séances d'essais limitées à 30 minutes. Les qualifications se tiendront à compter de 15h45 selon la procédure de 2 tours lancés et le drapeau vert sera déployé à 17:30pour l'épreuve du Kawartha 250. PASS Racers Prepare For Condensed Weekend Of Racing At Beech Ridge

NAPLES, ME (September 16) – With a dismal forecast calling for rain on Sunday, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials and Beech Ridge Motor Speedway management made the decision earlier this week to reformat the New England 500 weekend into a condensed "Super Saturday" of action.  The PASS North Super Late Models and ACT Late Models will each now race for 150 laps, along with Twin 50s for the Valenti Modified Series, and action for the PASS Modifieds and Sport Series all part of this "Super Saturday" of racing.

Hometown favorite Garrett Hall has seen a fair bit of success at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in the past and has years of experience there.  And while he has been able to go to victory lane in PASS this year for the first time in his career, it is the race that got away that has him keenly focused for this weekend.

"My team and I are looking forward to "Super Saturday," not only to be a three time winner in the PASS tour, but to redeem ourselves after running second and competing for the lead in the Oxford 250," says Hall, who eventually finished seventh in the 250. 

With his local experience at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, Hall definitely has to be considered among the favorites this weekend. But, it is his PASS wins at Thompson and Speedway 95 earlier this year that has Hall confident he can compete with the best short trackers New England has to offer.

"The Spring race at Beech Ridge we started off great and finished on the podium in third," says Hall.  "In July, we finished second in the 150 lapper, so hopefully, with the race being shortened this weekend, the third time will be the charm."

 With just a few events left in the race for the 2016 PASS North Super Late Model championship, Beech Ridge Motor Speedway could play a very interesting role in the title chase.  Center Conway, NH's DJ Shaw comes to Beech Ridge with a 72-point advantage over Johnny Clark.  Shaw was the winner at Beech Ridge in the spring, while Clark captured the checkered flag in last year's Southern Maine Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep 300.  After nearly winning his third HP Hood Oxford 250 in the last four years, Morill, ME's, Travis Benjamin, returns to Beech Ridge looking to make up ground in the championship fight and seeking his second straight win at the 1/3 mile speedway.  And you should not county out Mike Hopkins, Ben Rowe, and former track champion and defending PASS North champion, Mike Rowe.

Another strong field is expected Saturday for the first major event in New England to come following the success of the 43rd Annual Oxford 250 a couple of weeks ago.  This year's track champion, Curtis Gerry, will lead the drivers from Maine to Beech Ridge, including 2015 Oxford 250 winner, Glen Luce, JT Thurlow, Travis Stearns, David Oliver, Scott Farrington, Dave Farrington, Jr., Scott Robbins, Corey Bubar, Bobby Timmons, Alan Wilson, Reid Lanpher, Tim and TJ Brackett, Joey Doiron, and Adam Polvinen.  Veterans Jeremy Davis, Derek Griffith, and Joey Polewarczyk from New Hampshire will also be among the top contenders on Saturday.
