Trois-Rivieres (Quebec, Canada), March 5, 2015 – Dumoulin Competition, King Autosport and Mario Gosselin have turned a new page in history in 2014 by becoming the first team made up entirely of Quebecers to ever win the NASCAR Canadian Tire series championship. For the 2015 season, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin once again partners up with his powerful technical and sporting team to prepare the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Bellemare Group cars and to defend the title of Canadian champion.

 

The off season has not given the team any time to rest, as they have been busy working to make the most out of their expertise, as well as looking for and developing new strategies and settings that will allow them to remain competitive.

 

"We are in full preparation mode," shares Mario Gosselin, crew chief for the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Bellemare Group team. "We are fully aware of the necessary adjustments our program demands, and they are already being optimized in our workshop. The synergy of our team is in full effect, and I'm proud of what we accomplished in the 2014 season, we're all working very hard together to offer a repeat performance. Finishing in the top-5 at all races and being consistent is a winning formula, we're committed to keeping up the same pace and continue to aim for a championship win."

 

Optimal performance, the improvement of our teammates, and efficient development of our mechanical adjustments will allow the team to perform private trials earlier in the spring.

Furthermore, the testing we've done in the NASCAR Xfiniti series allow us to use a more efficient method for our cars in the NASCAR Canadian Tire series. CONCORD, N.C. – March 3, 2015 – As the 2015 racing season is kicking off around the country this spring, DIRTcar Racing is fully engaged in preparations for the 44th running of NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week on Oct. 7-11, 2015, at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, N.Y.

Thousands of fans from across the United States and Canada are expected to return once again to the Moody Mile, with less than 30 reserved camping spaces remaining for what's quickly become known as Racing's Biggest Party each October.

DIRTcar officials also followed Tuesday night's presentation by Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney and her plans for the fairgrounds in 2016 and beyond. DIRTcar is eager to work with New York State and Onondaga County on the Empire State's biggest annual week of racing, and improvements to the fairgrounds in the future.

Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced the appointment of Michael Stridsberg of Berlin, VT as the new Media Director for both the US touring series and Thunder Road International Speedbowl. He will replace Nick Bigelow who has handled numerous duties for the two organizations since his graduation from college in 2009. Bigelow studied engineering, and has taken a position with New England Wire Technologies in Lisbon, NH, a developer of wire products.


"Nick has provided ACT and Thunder Road with an outstanding foundation in modernizing our media department, web sites, and handicapping system. His passion was statistics, and he leaves with all ACT records in good order. He handled the majority of the track day duties as head scorer for our companies. His conscientious efforts will be missed," said Tom Curley, President of the American Canadian Tour, Ltd.


Stridsberg and his family have been around the race business for many years. He has worked the Thunder Road race day pits for the past few years, is familiar with handicapping, and has been a correspondent for Vermont Motorsports Magazine, helping to chronicle various stories and results from races throughout the region. He also will take on the new duty of electronic scoring for both ACT and Thunder Road events.


"We were pleased to have Michael available on such short notice, and especially for his willingness to join our staff full time with the 2015 season just about upon us. This means we should be in excellent shape going forward. Michael has a keen interest regarding many facets of our short track needs, and we are confident that ACT can continue to set high media and internal race day standards throughout the coming season," said Darla Hartt, Vice-President of ACT, and General Manager of Thunder Road.


"This is a great opportunity for me to be involved full time with the ACT-Thunder Road team. The timing for me could not have been better and I can't wait to get started next week. Simply working at Thunder Road on race days was a dream come true, and I'm honored to now be an even bigger part of the team. I am familiar with a lot of the demands required working at ACT and Thunder Road, although filling Nick's (Bigelow) shoes, with all the duties he took on will certainly present a huge challenge. I feel I am up for doing the job for the media and competitors and am looking forward to getting started," said Stridsberg.


The American Canadian Tour opens its 30th season of sanctioning short track Late Model racing throughout the Northeastern United States, and province of Quebec. The traditional New Hampshire Governor's Cup 150 will take place at the Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH on Sunday, April 12, 2015. A power packed field is expected to kick off the new season for ACT US, which will be highlighted by 17 point and special events throughout New England, New York, and Quebec. The ACT Quebec Serie will have an ambitious 14 race series, traveling throughout tracks in Quebec, New York and New England.

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 3) – The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Models are prepped and ready to go as the series prepares to kick off its 10th anniversary season this Saturday afternoon at Dillon Motor Speedway.  For the fourth time in the last seven years, the South Carolina Clash at Dillon Motor Speedway will be the first race of 15 in a season that stretches through November for the PASS South Super Late Models and PASS Pro Late Models.

            Dillon Motor Speedway's 4/10 mile, egg-shaped layout always presents a tough challenge to PASS competitors, but has provided many memorable finishes.  In 2013, Austin Theriault used lapped traffic to his advantage to take the lead from Preston Peltier in the final corner and win in the closest finish in PASS South history.  And, last year, Daniel Hemric passed Cole Timm with a handful of laps to go to take his first ever South Carolina Clash win.

            After a stellar season in 2014, Timm comes back to Dillon looking for redemption and, not only as a favorite for the win, but as a seasoned veteran seeking his first championship.  Likewise, last year's PASS South Super Late Model champion, Tyler Church, who has always ran well at Dillon, hopes to capture his first series win since taking the checkered flag at Ace Speedway last May.

            But, a new crop of championship contenders have emerged in 2015 hopiing to start their seasons off with a win in the South Carolina Clash.  Trevor Noles returns for his second season driving Super Late Models for Coulter Motorsports.  Noles closed out 2014 with his first career PASS South win in the Mason Dixon Meltdown at Southern National Motorsports Park.  Jody Measamer's Aquavapor-sponsored #98 also returns looking to build on several strong runs over the last two seasons.  However, Measamer would like to avoid last year's exciting start at Dillon which saw him tumble several times down the frontstretch in a grinding multi-car crash. And, Californian Zane Smith, will be back in 2015, but with a new team, driving for Gary Crooks Racing out of Mooresville, NC.  Smith has already had a strong start to the year, capturing the Speedweeks title at New Smyrna Speedway in February.

            Woodman Racing will be back with another dual threat, but will be competing for a championship for the first time since 2013. Tate Fogleman joins Woodman Racing in 2015 hoping to better his best career finish of 3rd from a year ago at Southern National Motorsports Park.  Woodman's second entry will once again have a number of drivers behind the wheel, with PASS North standout Joey Doiron piloting the car at Dillon as well as the next two PASS South races at Anderson Motor Speedway and Hickory Motor Speedway.

            But, with Dillon Motor Speedway's challenging layout a veteran might have the best opportunity for a win.  Two-time All Pro Series champion and multi-time Dillon Motor Speedway track champion, Hal Goodson, makes his return to PASS for the first time in a number of years.  In 2010, Goodson scored his best career PASS South Super Late Model finish, coming home second to Ryan Blaney at Dillon in the South Carolina Clash.  And, western North Carolina veteran Jimmy Doyle looks to start off strong at Dillon as he prepares to make a full out assault on the championship in 2015.

            The PASS Pro Late Models will also kickoff their season Saturday at Dillon.  Last year's champion Walker Yates, along with Nick Robinson, are making the move up to Super Late Models, which opens up this year's race for the championship.  Zachary Dabbs returns to defend his win last year at Dillon, as well as the leading winner from a year ago, Kodie Conner.  Newcomers this year include Wesley Noles, who will be driving as a teammate to his brother, Trevor, with Coulter Motorsports and Georgia's Chandler Smith.  Smith makes the move to the PASS Pro Late Model division from the Bandolero ranks and will be racing in a close partnership with Cole Timm and his dad, Murray.

WEST HAVEN, VT – Stock car racing's youth movement has a new home in Rutland County, as Devil's Bowl Speedway has announced the formation of the new Young Guns division.  The new class, sponsored by NEK Trophy, will utilize the same rules used in the track's Portland Glass Mini Stock division and will offer supervised safety and driving instructions and real on-track racing experience for drivers age 10-14.

The Young Guns division has been created after three years of research and discussion with parties in the racing industry and beyond.  After receiving requests from several local families to consider a youth racing division, Devil's Bowl Speedway owners Mike and Alayne Bruno got hands-on experience when their own son, who was 10 years old at the time, raced with a similar division in New Hampshire.

The Brunos have since worked closely with insurance regulators and Vermont government officials to create a structured program that allows young racers to compete in a safe, controlled environment.  Mandatory "school" sessions will be held at the track, and all aspiring Young Guns drivers must pass safety procedure and car control tests before being approved for competition.

"We have wanted a division like the Young Guns for a while, but all the pieces needed to be in the right place," Alayne Bruno said.  "We wanted to see this division from the viewpoint of the parents first, and then we went to work with the State of Vermont to get the proper approval."

Devil's Bowl Speedway officials took part in several hearings at the Vermont State House in Montpelier regarding lowering the legal age limit in Vermont race track pit areas to 10 years old.

"We approached the State from the position that we're trying to build the interest in our sport from an early age, and we were able to run a successful test race in September 2013," Mike Bruno said.  "The lawmakers were receptive and even noted that kids are allowed to take hunter's safety courses and carry firearms in the woods at age 10.  The bill was passed and took effect on July 1, 2014, but even then we still felt that we needed to take our time and get the work done behind the scenes before we started racing."

Naples, ME (3/2/15) - The Easter Bunny 150 has been a marquee Pro All Stars Series (PASS) event since its inception in 2006.  The event has brought the top short track talents from North, South and everywhere in between to the historic Hickory Motor Speedway.  Fans and racers alike have relished the ability to race or take in the sights of a prestigious race at the historic facility in Hickory, NC . 

Now, for the first time in the event's 10-year history, fans everywhere will be able to witness the prestige and aura of the Easter Bunny 150 live on Saturday, April 4. 

Officials from PASS and 51 TV, the online video streaming network by Speed51.com, announced today that the 10th Annual Easter Bunny 150 can be viewed live via a streaming broadcast provided by 51 TV. 

51 TV will broadcast all of the race day action from the North Carolina oval live on a pay-per-view basis on Saturday, April 4.  The headline event of the Easter Bunny 150 will be the PASS National Super Late Model championship event.  It will feature the top Super Late Model drivers from PASS North, PASS South and other series from around the country.  The live video broadcast will also include live coverage of the PASS Pro Late Models, Must See Racing Sprint Series, USAC HPD Eastern Midgets and Legends Car feature events.

C'est à la suite du vote du jury du Mémorial de la terre battue et du public que nous avons l'immense plaisir de vous dévoiler les trois candidats choisis parmi les dix en liste qui vivront une soirée d'intronisation inoubliable en 2015. Il s'agit de Jacques Lalancette, Robert « Bob » Gatien et Léo Bergeron.

Le 15 novembre dernier dans le cadre du banquet annuel de l'Autodrome Granby et du RPM Speedway, Anthony Marcotte et Dave Paryzo ont annoncé de concert l'inauguration d'un nouveau projet dans le monde du stock car sur terre battue au Québec, soit le Mémorial de la terre battue. Cette initiative aura pour but de récompenser les différents artisans qui ont marqué notre sport par leurs prouesses en piste ou hors-piste au fil des ans.

 

Depuis la mi-novembre 2014, les amateurs de course étaient invités à se rendre sur le site Internet de l'Autodrome Granby dans la section « Mémorial » pour voter pour leurs trois candidats préférés parmi les 10 en liste en vue des premières intronisations de l'histoire prévue pour les 6 juin, 24 juillet et 21 août 2015.

 

Il est bien important de savoir que l'Autodrome Granby agit seulement à titre d'hôte pour le projet et que le Mémorial de la terre battue est indépendant avec son propre comité d'intronisation choisi par les deux co-fondateurs. Un comité de juges a été créé pour procéder au choix des candidatures intronisées. Tout d'abord, on y retrouve le très respecté, Gaston Salvas, ancien directeur de l'association D.I.R.T. au Canada, Serge St-Sauveur, co-propriétaire de l'Autodrome Granby de 1985-2009 et les coureurs Richard Bertrand et Claude Brouillard. Une partie interactive était de mise dans le processus, c'est pourquoi le public était appelé à voter via la section «Mémorial » du site Internet de l'Autodrome Granby. Le total de ce vote comptant pour un septième juge.

La date officielle pour chacun des candidats, vous sera confirmée sous peu selon les disponibilités des familles et amis des honorés. On invite les proches de ces coureurs de communiquer avec nous pour nous aider à mettre en place une soirée mémorable pour ces pionniers de notre sport. Compte rendu des réunions pré-saison de l'Autodrome St-Eustache


Samedi le 28 février dernier, avaient lieu deux réunions pré-saison afin d'informer les compétiteurs  des décisions finales en vue de la prochaine saison de course automobile. Celles-ci faisaient suite aux réunions de discussions de janvier dernier. En avant-midi, étaient conviés les pilotes de la classe vedette de l'Autodrome, la série NASCAR Sportsman Lucas Oil et en après-midi, ce fût au tour des pilotes des catégories Sport Compacte, Légende Modifiée et Challenge d'y être invités. Une réunion indépendante aura lieu éventuellement pour les pilotes de la nouvelle série NASCAR 358 Modifié.

La majorité des pilotes des différentes divisions ont répondu à l'appel et étaient présents en ce dernier samedi de février. Tel que convenu au courant de la saison dernière, aucun changement à la réglementation de la série NASCAR Sportman Lucas Oil n'a été effectué. D'ailleurs, le statu quo demeurera pour les trois prochaines saison à ce niveau. Toutefois, certaines améliorations ont été apportées au niveau de la sécurité des pilotes. Tout d'abord, la direction a fortement suggéré à ses pilotes le port d'un système de retenue de type Hans Device, avec un regard vers la saison 2016 pour une obligation à s'en prémunir. La majorité des pilotes présents à cette réunion ont fortement suggéré d'adopter cette nouvelle mesure de sécurité dès cette saison. Le directeur de course de l'ASE, M. Donald Forte, ainsi que le directeur des événements NASCAR, M. Howard Romanado, ont par conséquent convenu de concert avec le regroupement de pilotes, que le port de cet équipement devenait obligatoire pour tous les pilotes de la série NASCAR Sportsman, dès cette saison.

Étant donné que le bassin de pilotes se développe de plus en plus, la direction avait amené l'idée en janvier dernier d'avoir un maximum de 24 voitures pour prendre le départ de la finale. Or, suite aux discussions, il n'y aura pas de limite de voitures pour la prochaine saison. Si le nombre de voitures participantes augmentait drastiquement, une évaluation de la situation aura lieu au moment opportun. Aussi, toutes les voitures ayant à bord un pilote recrue, seront dorénavant identifiées au moyen d'une bande de couleur jaune sur le pare-choc arrière.

Par ailleurs, un nouveau système de pointage sera mis en place pour toutes les catégories de l'Autodrome St-Eustache pour la compilation des championnats. Il est question plus précisément d'un système de pointage qui favorisera les pilotes assidus aux épreuves de la saison. À titre d'exemple, un pilote qui a participé à toutes les épreuves précédentes obtiendra une meilleure position de départ pour la finale, qu'un pilote qui aura participé de façon sporadique aux programmes, et ce, en dépit de sa position en qualification. Les détails du nouveau système de pointage seront disponibles avant le début de la saison.

Aucun changement majeur ne sera apporté concernant les divisions Sport Compacte et Légende Modifiée, cependant les normes de sécurité seront resserrées. Le port d'un collet cervical approprié sera maintenant obligatoire. Les officiels auront à l'œil les certifications des équipements de sécurité, notamment les bancs, ceintures et casques protecteurs.

Toujours dans l'optique d'une meilleure protection de ses pilotes, la direction de l'ASE, a décidé d'apporter certaines améliorations pour la catégorie Challenge 4. Ceux-ci devront dorénavant avoir un minimum de protection au niveau de l'habitacle de leurs voitures, avec une obligation d'avoir un arceau de sécurité additionné de barres latérales au niveau des portières. Une cage ou mini-cage protectrice est est fortement suggérée. L'ajout d'un banc de course avec ceintures certifiées devient également obligatoire. Le port du collet cervical sera également de mise. Toutes les garnitures intérieures de l'habitacle y compris les bancs d'origines devront être retirées. Les pilotes devront également avoir un appareil de communications de type ''raceceiver'' afin que le directeur de course puisse communiquer ses directives en cours de compétitions. Les officiels auront un contrôle sur les pneus de ces trois divisions. Une limite de six pneus neufs et de six pneus usagés par voiture sera en vigueur dès cette saison dans le but d'équilibrer les coûts entre les équipes ayant un budget plus ou moins élevé.

Une première réussie à Québec !

 

Québec (Québec), le 28 février 2015.- Les pilotes Valérie Limoges, Kevin King et Stéphane Lacharité, en compagnie du jeune prodige de série Sportsman Québec Raphaël Lessard, ont remporté ce samedi l'édition 2015 des 4 Heures Pole-Position, traditionnelle épreuve de karting qui était pour la première fois de son histoire présentée dans la Ville de Québec. Représentant l'équipe VCE Auto Marketing, le quatuor a pris les commandes à mi-course, pour filer vers une victoire indiscutable tandis que l'action était omniprésente entre les équipes se battant pour les autres places de podium.

 

Douze équipes avaient été sélectionnées pour disputer cette édition 2015, qui était courue pour la toute première fois sur le circuit de Karting Extrême, à deux pas du colisée de Québec. Un tracé technique et des pilotes venus de tous les horizons pour en découdre. Parmi les inscrits, on retrouvait neuf pilotes de NASCAR/stock-car, onze de circuit routier, deux de rallye, six licenciés de karting extérieur et vingt pilotes non licenciés/amateurs.

 

Après un début de course dominé par la jeune Sabrina Caron, Alex Labbé s'imposait aux commandes, au terme d'un impressionnant premier relais. Le champion ACT 2014, et pilote NASCAR Canadian Tire, faisait figure de favori de cette édition 2015 avec ses coéquipiers, le septuple vainqueur de l'épreuve Paul Heng et les pilotes de monoplace Jesse Lazare et Olivier Bédard. 

 

Mais peu avant la mi-course, ce fut au tour de l'Ontarien Alex Healy d'abord, puis de Valérie Limoges ensuite de prendre les devants. Limoges et ses coéquipiers, Raphaël Lessard, Kevin King et Stéphane Lacharité (appelé à la dernière minute pour remplacer Valérie Chiasson, en déplacement d'affaires à l'étranger), n'allaient plus jamais quitter le premier rang, pour filer tout droit vers une indiscutable victoire, avec une avance de deux tours sur l'équipe de Labbé, Heng, Lazare et Bédard.

 

La troisième place a donné lieu à la plus belle bataille de l'épreuve, entre les équipes Fantastic Four, Alex Healy Racing, Flagworld et Club Delta. Le "Top 8" est complété par l'équipe "Kartomanes" de Sabrina Caron, qui précède l'équipe Test Racing du pilote de rallye Mathieu Dubé, lauréat de l'édition 2014.

 

Le record du tour a été décroché par le pilote de NASCAR Sportsman Alexandre Jeannotte, de l'équipe Impart-Litho. Au sein de cette équipe, on retrouvait aussi Susie Langlois, championne de courses sur terre battue et lauréate du Prix Maryeve Dufault. Elle a réalisé de belles performances pour ses débuts aux 4 Heures Pole-Position.

 

Cette première édition présentée sur le site de Karting Extrême à Québec fut un succès. Les 4 Heures Pole-Position seront de retour en 2016, pour célébrer leur vingtième anniversaire... L'édition 2015 était présentée par Pole-Position Magazine, Karting Extrême, Auto Sport Québec (ASQ) et l'Association Des Signaleurs de la Région du Québec (ASRQ).

"The Howler" Returns To Greenville-Pickens For PASS National Championship Finale

NAPLES, ME (February 27) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry and Greenville-Pickens Speedway promoter Anthony Anders announced today that the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models will return on Saturday, October 24 for the final race of the PASS National Championship Series.  Although PASS has competed at the legendary Greenville-Pickens Speedway in recent years, this will be the first time the popular "Howler" event has returned to the series schedule since 2009.  "The Howler" becomes the sixth and final race of the 2015 PASS National Championship Series joining the Peach Blossom Special at Anderson (SC) Motor Speedway, the Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway, the inaugural Super Late Model event at the 1-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway, a 200 lapper at Plattsburgh, NY's Airborne Park Speedway, and the 42nd Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains (ME) Speedway. 
"After a lot of hard work, we could not be more proud to announce the return of 'The Howler' and Greenville Pickens Speedway to the PASS schedule," said PASS President Tom Mayberry.  "This event was always really popular the fans and competitors.  I can't think of a better place to crown Super Late Model racing's true national champion than a place with the history and prestige of Greenville-Pickens." 
In addition to the PASS Super Late Models and PASS Pro Late Models, the KOMA Unwind Modifieds will join PASS at Greenville-Pickens Speedway on Saturday, October 24.  It will be the third pairing of PASS and the KOMA Unwind Modifieds, joining combo events between the two sanctioning bodies at Kingsport (TN) Speedway and Concord (NC) Speedway in May.  This event will mark the first time Tour-type Modifieds have raced at Greenville-Pickens Speedway since 2007.  An additional feature division could be added to the stellar card of racing in the coming weeks. 
Former racer turned promoter Anthony Anders has recently taken the reigns at Greenville-Pickens Speedway making numerous improvements to the facility.  Anders, who has raced with PASS at times over the years, is excited to close out the season at the nearly 70-year-old facility with such a major event.

South Carolina College Teams With Hal Goodson In PASS

Florence, S.C. (February 25) - Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC) has partnered with two-time NASCAR All-Pro Series champion, Hal Goodson, for the 2015 Pee Dee Coastal Super Truck Series and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model seasons. 

Goodson, who's a Darlington, S.C. native, is also a former NASCAR XFINITY Series driver and is looking to claim his seventh Super Truck divisional track championship at Dillon Motor Speedway in 2015. 

"I am looking forward to the partnership with local race car driver, Hal Goodson," said FDTC President Dr. Ben Dillard. "Not only does Florence-Darlington Technical College provide a quality education, but the college also supports the local economy, and the Pee Dee area has such a rich history in stock car racing." 

Throughout the 2015 Pee Dee Coastal Super Truck Series season, Florence-Darlington Technical College will be the primary sponsor for Goodson as he competes at Dillon Motor Speedway, Florence Motor Speedway, Myrtle Beach Speedway, as well as any other track that may be added to the schedule this season. Goodson's black No. 13 Florence-Darlington Technical College Super Truck will be adorned with the blue and gold colors of the college as the team competes throughout the Carolinas.

Florence-Darlington Technical College will also be an associate sponsor on Goodson's No. 16 Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model that is scheduled to compete in the South Carolina Clash 125 at Dillon Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 7 and for "The Bash at the Beach" at Myrtle Beach Speedway on Saturday, April 25.  Goodson finished 2ndto race winner Ryan Blaney in the 2010 South Carolina Clash at Dillon.

"The Pro All Stars Series is by far one of the most competitive Super Late Model divisions in the country," saysFDTC Public Relations/Marketing Specialist, Hunter Thomas.  "With the experience Hal Goodson has at Dillon Motor Speedway and Myrtle Beach Speedway, I'd certainly look for him to be a top contender when the Pro All Stars Series visits South Carolina." 

Over the last decade, Goodson has won the inaugural 2013 Pee Dee Coastal Super Truck Series championship, as well as all but two of the Super Truck divisional track championships at Dillon Motor Speedway since the speedway reopened in 2007. He was also named the Late Model divisional track champion back in 2009 at Dillon Motor Speedway.

TWO-TIME NASCAR TRUCK SERIES CHAMP TODD BODINE IS COMING TO TORONTO'S MOTORAMA SHOW

TORONTO, ON // FEBRUARY 25, 2015 • Continuing the long tradition of NASCAR stars who have come to Toronto to meet the fans and be part of Canada's biggest indoor racing show, two-time NASCAR Truck Series champion Todd Bodine will appear at this year's inaugural Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo.

 

Known as 'The Onion,' Bodine is a member of NASCAR's legendary Bodine racing clan. Originally from Chemung, New York, and now residing in North Carolina, Bodine will appear at Motorama on Saturdayand Sunday, March 14 & 15, to meet fans, sign autographs and participate in several events and presentations during the show.

 

The inaugural Motorama show takes place March 13, 14 & 15 at Toronto's International Centre, across from Pearson International Airport.

 

"I'm looking forward to coming to Motorama to meet the fans, sign autographs and take part in the show," said Bodine. "I raced at Ontario's Cayuga Speedway way back, so I'm sure I'll run into some familiar faces at the show."

 

After achieving success racing in the northeast, Bodine made the jump to NASCAR's second-tier Xfinity Series, in 1986. In the years since, he made almost 800 career total starts in NASCAR's three elite touring series; NASCAR Sprint Cup, the Xfinity Series and the Camping World Truck Series. During his career, Bodine went to victory lane 37 times in Xfinity and Truck Series competition, and twice won the Truck Series points championship, in 2006 and 2010.

 

Currently, Todd Bodine is putting his experience, knowledge and colourful personality to good use, working as an analyst on the NASCAR Truck Series shows NCWTS Setup and NASCAR Race Hub, on Fox Sports.

 

"It's an honour to have Todd Bodine come to the show for two days," said Motorama's David Weber. "In addition to his on-track achievements at the highest levels of the sport, he's also one of the most popular, knowledgeable and charismatic people in NASCAR, and we look forward to welcoming him to Motorama."
