DELAWARE SPEEDWAY PR - NASCAR Can. Tire Series test day complete and opening race sked released
| May 18, 2010 (London, Ontario) Most of the drivers taking part in this year's NASCAR Canadian Tire Series opening race at Delaware June 5th were on hand today to test their cars and take them around the half-mile track. Media from London, Toronto, Sarnia and elsewhere got a taste of the excitement as racers including DJ Kennington (last year's Delaware NCATS champ), Delaware Speedway favourite Ron Sheridan and others gave their wheels a workout. | Delaware Speedway also released the full schedule for the June 5th race day (attached in PDF) which will include a Delaware Super Stocks 50 lap race prior to the highly anticipated NCATS opener. Fans will have an opportunity to meet the NCATS competitors and get their autographs at 7 pm on the track's front straight. The opening ceremony begins at 8 pm sharp with driver introductions and the green flag drops on the race at 8:30. In addition to the competition on the track and all of our concessions, there will be a festival atmosphere on June 5th with several interactive displays and vendors. The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 visits a total of 13 tracks across Canada. Delaware Speedway is extremely proud to be hosting the important opening day on June 5th.
