ACT Announces ACT Late Model Tour and Série ACT Castrol Edge Schedules

Waterbury, VT – The 25 year-old American Canadian Tour announces over $1 million in purses and prize funds for its touring events in 2011. ACT releases 2011 schedules for its two Late Model touring series; the American-based ACT Late Model Tour and the Canadian-based Série ACT Castrol Edge. Schedules consist of 12 events for both tours including three combination events plus several non-point counting special events.

The ACT Late Model Tour will begin their campaign on Sunday, April 17 with the traditional NH Governor’s Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH. They will then have three events during the month of May starting with the Merchants Bank 150 at Thunder Road in Barre, VT on Sunday, May 1. Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, ME will have their first of two (2) events in 2011 on Sunday, May 15. The Tour will then complete their May schedule with their first ever trip to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Fair Haven, VT on Sunday, May 22 with the 37^th Annual Spring Green 111.

The Tour will make its annual visits to White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, NH (Saturday, June 18), Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH (Saturday, July 9), and Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, ME (Saturday, July 30).

After making its second trip of the year to Thunder Road for the Bond Auto Labor Day Classic on Sunday, September 4, the 2011 ACT Late Model Tour will decide its champion in the Fall Foliage 200 at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY on Saturday, October 8.

The 2011 Série ACT Castrol Edge schedule will commence on Saturday, May 21 with its first of three events at Autodrome St-Eustache in St-Eustache, Quebec. The second St-Eustache event will be a 200 lap grind on Saturday, July 16 and the final event on the 1/2 mile speedway will be the St-Eustache 300 on Sunday, September 18. The Série will run two 100-lap events at Autodrome Montmagny in Montmagny, Quebec, the first on Saturday, May 28 and the second on Saturday, July 2.

It will also visit Autodrome Chaudiére in Vallée-Jonction, Quebec for two point counting events in 2011. They will be held on Saturday, June 4 and Saturday, August 6. Circuit Riverside Speedway in St-Croix, Quebec will host two stand alone point counting events on Saturday, June 18 and Saturday, July 9.

The 2011 Série ACT Castol Edge Champion will also be crowned on Saturday, October 8 following the Fall Foliage 200 at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY.

The two tours will compete in three combination point counting events in 2011. The first will be the recently announced “Short Track Showdown” at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH on Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13, while the second will be the Riverside Can-Am 200 at Circuit Riverside Speedway in St-Croix, Quebec. The third will be the season finale Fall Foliage 200 at Airborne.

Competitors from both sides of the border will also enjoy four (4) special non-point counting events again in 2011. The Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway on Sunday, July 24 is one of the premiere Late Model events in the North America, while the “Showdown at Chaudiére”, an All-Star event, held at Autodrome Chaudiére will be run for the fourth consecutive season on Saturday, September 10.

Two of the biggest special events of the year include the 3^rd Annual ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH on Saturday, September 24. The event will again be included in the September NASCAR weekend at the “Magic Mile.” The 49^th running of the People’s United Bank Milk Bowl at Thunder Road in Barre, VT will complete the 2011 special events on Sunday, October 2.

LES DEUX SÉRIES DE L’ACT

COMPORTERONT 12 COURSES

Waterbury, VT--- La direction de l’American-Canadian Tour vient de finaliser le calendrier de ses deux séries dites touring, soit l’ACT Late Model Tour et la série ACT-Castrol Edge. Chacune d’elle comportera douze épreuves dont trois combinées qui compteront pour les deux championnats ainsi qu’une série de quatre prestigieuses confrontations hors championnat. Le tout totalisera plus d’un million de dollars en bourses et bonis.

La série ACT-Castrol Edge prendra son envol à l’Autodrome St-Eustache, le 21 mai prochain avec la présentation de la première de trois courses à cette piste des Basses-Laurentides. Puis, la semaine suivante, c’est à l’Autodrome Montmagny que seront invités les pilotes. Au pays de l’oie blanche, une autre course est inscrite au calendrier, le samedi 2 juillet. En ce qui concerne St-Eustache, les deux autres dates sont le 16 juillet (200 tours) et le St-Eustache 300, le 18 septembre.

À l’instar de l’année dernière, trois épreuves, dont deux comptant pour le titre ACT-Castrol Edge auront lieu à l’Autodrome Chaudière de Vallée-Jonction qui cette année, célèbre son 20^e anniversaire. La première est prévue pour le 4 juin, la deuxième pour le 6 août alors que le Showdown, mettant en vedette les meilleurs de ces deux championnats, est inscrit pour le 10 septembre. Également, le circuit Ste-Croix/Riverside Speedway, sera le théâtre de deux courses du championnat, soit le 18 juin et le 9 juillet alors que le 27 août on reviendra avec la présentation de la Can-Am 200, une course comptant pour les deux couronnes.

Contrairement aux saisons précédentes, c’est lors du Fall Foliage 200 à la piste Airborne de Plattsburgh, le 8 octobre prochain que l’on connaîtra officiellement, les titulaires de ces deux championnats.

On remarquera également que cette saison, deux épreuves auront lieu lors de week-ends importants au New Hampshire Motor Speedway de Loudon. La première dans le cadre de l’Indy Car Izod aura lieu les 12 et 13 août et comptera pour les deux titres de l’ACT alors que le 24 septembre au cours du Sylvania 300 de Nascar, on présentera la 3^e édition de l’Invitational de l’ACT.

Les quatre épreuves hors championnat où les pilotes des deux séries sont conviés sont ; l’Oxford 250 le 24 juillet, le Showdown de l’Autodrome Chaudière, l’Invitational au New Hampshire Motor Speedway ainsi que la 49^e édition du Milk Bowl qui est prévue pour la première fin de semaine d’octobre.

En ce qui concerne l’ACT Late Model Tour, mentionnons qu’il prendra son envol à la piste de Lee au New Hampshire, le 17 avril prochain pour se terminer à la piste Thunder Road de Barre au Vermont, le 4 septembre.

Derek White Makes Great Strides at Homestead

DEREK WHITE MAKES GREAT STRIDES AT HOMESTEAD

Homestead, FL. (November 20, 2010) In his only NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race this season at the final event on the schedule in Homestead, Florida Derek White the 2010 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series rookie of the year wanted to learn as much as he could and bring the #6 Race101/OCR Gaz Bar Chevrolet Truck to the finish. After weeks of hard work and preparation White along with his team accomplished both of their goals.

It wasn’t important to White that he would begin the race in the #6 Race101/OCR Gaz Bar Chevrolet from the back row. With some of the best racers in the world ahead of him as soon as the green flag waved White took the opportunity to see where he could improve on each lap. “On every corner I was trying to watch some of the faster Trucks and use their line” said White. “At the same time I made sure that I wasn’t holding anybody up” he added.

White’s concern for the other drivers and keeping the #6 Race101/OCR Gaz Bar Chevrolet out of the way also got the attention of NASCAR. “The NASCAR officials told us to pick up the pace a bit” explained White afterwards. “I was letting off a bit too much is all it was, just part of the learning process.

The first caution period of the race came on lap 30 and the #6 Race101/OCR Gaz Bar Chevrolet team made a pit stop for fuel and fresh tires. After the race returned to green flag conditions, White ran his quickest lap of the race to that point on lap 37. “The new tires helped, but also slowing down for the yellow allowed me just to refocus and pick up the speed a little more” he stated.

The #6 Race101/OCR Gaz Bar Chevrolet team called White to pit road for another stop during the third caution period of the race. Fresh tires, fuel and bit of tape added to the front nose all helped Derek in the late stages of the race. On lap 91 White clocked his best lap time of the evening with a 34.569 second trip around the 1 ½ mile oval.

Through much of the race White was pushing the #6 Race101/OCR Gaz Bar Chevrolet to catch the #57 Truck which was running in the position ahead of him on the track. Though he closed the gap several times White just couldn’t seem to make the pass to get back on the same lap. “I was a little quicker on the straightaway but he seemed to carry a bit more speed through the corners” stated White. “And each time I got close to him the yellow would come out and I didn’t get the chance to try and make a pass” he added.

When the checkered flag fell White crossed the line in the #6 Race101/OCR Gaz Bar Chevrolet in 33^rd position. Though he certainly would have liked to finish higher he was extremely pleased and proud of what the team had accomplished. “Our goal was to finish the race and we did that” said White. “These guys all worked so hard to get ready for this race and we brought the truck home without a mark on it. I learned so much racing against these drivers, our lap times improved by over four seconds from the first session which is fantastic. I had a great time and can’t thank everybody enough for all their hard work. We’ll enjoy this for a couple days and then we’re going to start looking at what we can do in 2011” said the happy driver.

Look for Derek White to participate in the 2011 season opening event of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Daytona International Speedway next February and also look for him to return to the NASCAR Canadian Tire series next season. Sixteen 2011 races for PASS North super late models

Two Oxford Plains Speedway events, dates at Star Speedway and L’Autodrome Chaudière

Naples ME (11/19) Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry has released a sixteen race 2011 schedule for the popular touring super late models.

“I’m exceptionally happy with our 2011 PASS North super late model schedule, “said Mayberry in making the announcement. “It’s the best schedule we’ve been able to assemble in the series’ eleven year history; I think 2011will prove to be a banner year for PASS North.”

Returning venues include Maine’s fabled Oxford Plains Speedway for two dates. The PASS super late models will tour the tough Oxford oval for the first time in five years, headlining the “Night Before the 250” race card on July 23^rd and closing out the 2011 campaign on October 1^st. Star Speedway returns to the schedule on May 14^th and PASS North will mark it’s return to Quebec, Canada on June 25 with an appearance at L’Autodrome Chaudière

Beech Ridge continues to anchor the series with three events including the season opener on April 30, a July 9 date and the popular PASS 400 weekend on September 16, 17 and 18. White Mountain Motorsports Park has added a third PASS race to their schedule, and the traveling road show will return to Thompson International Speedway, Seekonk Speedway, New Brunswick’s Speedway 660, Canaan Fair Speedway, Riverside Speedway and Lee USA Speedway for single appearances.

Derek White - Homestead Practice Update

Homestead Truck Practice Update for Derek White

Homestead, FL. (November 19, 2010) Derek White the 2010 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series rookie of the year began practice as scheduled for this weekend’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Homestead Miami Speedway on Thursday evening and made some impressive gains during the one hour session. Rain showers delayed the final practice session until this morning and White continued to improve his lap times in the #6 Race101/OCR Gaz Bar Chevrolet.

From the first laps on the very fast one and half mile oval track Derek White felt very comfortable in the #6 Race101/OCR Gaz Bar Chevrolet. “The Truck felt really good underneath me” said White. “After each run the team made a couple of small adjustments and I was able to drive a little deeper into corner number one and we picked up some speed” he added.

The final practice session ran this morning due to showers on Thursday night. Derek White again posted impressive lap times and was among the top five drivers who had the best 10 consecutive lap average speeds. White only wished he had more time on the track. “It seems that we got better and better as the session went on” said the driver. “We also made one adjustment right at the end of the session that also helped the handling.

White’s plan for the race in the #6 Race101/OCR Gaz Bar Truck is quite simple. “We are to finish the race” he said confidently. “I’m going to learn as much as possible and hopefully finish on the lead lap” added the driver.

Qualifying for the NASCAR Camping World Truck series from Homestead Miami Speedway takes place later today at 5PM Eastern. The 200 mile feature race will go green at 8PM tonight. The race can be seen live on SPEED with the pre race show beginning at 7:30PM.

Bond/WIX Tiger Tour Announces 2011 Schedule

Waterbury, VT – American Canadian Tour (ACT) officials announced the 2011 Bond/WIX Tiger Sportsmen Tour schedule featuring three 100-lap events at three different venues.

The Limited Late Model division, which has been competing at Thunder Road in Barre, VT since 1964, will begin their season on their home track as part of a 100-lap double header during the Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic on Sunday, May 29.

They will then make a return to Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, NH for their second event of the season on Saturday, August 20. The 1/3 mile speedplant has become a favorite among the Tiger drivers, including 2010 Champion Jason Bonnett who earned the win there last season.

The deciding event of the season will again belong to Riverside Speedway in Groveton, NH in 2011. The fast 1/4 mile saw a thrilling finish to the 2010 season as Bonnett claimed the championship by one point. The 2011 season finale will be on Saturday, October 8.

Qui eut cru qu’un jour ces derniers convaincraient son homologue de l’International Super Modified Association (ISMA) de présenter une course inscrite au calendrier 2011 de leur série à Vallée-Jonction ?

Eh bien c’est maintenant officiel, la Série «ISMA, DIVISION NORD » sera à l’Autodrome Chaudière de Vallée-Jonction en juillet 2011. La date officielle sera divulguée dans les semaines à venir. Une première au Québec pour ces voitures munies d’un moteur de 470 PC développant 700 chevaux alimentés en alcool. La dimension de quatre pneus différents, un aileron ajustable au-dessus de la tête du pilote et la répartition du poids avec la position du moteur sont autant d’éléments qui font de ces super modifiés, les véhicules les plus rapides sur pistes ovales.

Selon les spécialistes, ces bolides abaisseront la vitesse du tour de piste en réalisant d’électrisantes performances. Dix secondes et quelques dixièmes semblent faire l’unanimité des connaisseurs et de son président, M. Howie Lane. Pour la circonstance, les spectateurs qui assisteront à ce super spectacle sont invités à se munir de bouchons pour atténuer le bruit émis par ces moteurs de haute performance. Imaginez vingt bolides de ce calibre prendre d’assaut l’ovale incliné de Vallée-Jonction.

FW: Derek White Racing at Homestead

NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Rookie of the Year Derek White is racing at Homestead

Kahnawake, Quebec. (November 15, 2010) The 2010 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series rookie of the year Derek White isn’t through with racing competition for this year. White has agreed to drive the #6 Deer Excavating Chevrolet entry fielded by Rick Ware Racing in the final round of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this Friday November 19^th at Homestead Miami Speedway.

This will be the first Truck race of the season for White who raced in two events last year. “I had such a good time in both of the races last year that I didn’t want to let the season finish without racing in at least one Truck series event this year” said White.

At both races White participated in during the 2009 campaign he made significant gains during the race from his starting position. In his first ever Camping World Truck Series event at the challenging Martinsville Speedway White started the race 34^th but had gained eight positions by the end of race for a 26^th place showing. And at Phoenix International Raceway White gained five spots during the race and claimed a 24^th place result.

This year White concentrated on running the competitive NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in Canada. In the first event of the year at Delaware Speedway near London, Ontario Derek White in the OCR Gaz Bar Chevrolet would serve notice that he was gunning for the Rookie of the Year title scoring an outstanding 7^th place finish. Continuing with the momentum from that first race of the season White claimed the rookie title and finished 14^th in the overall championship. “I’ve learned so much over the last year and the experience that I gained running in the Canadian Tire series and winning the rookie of the year title should be a huge help this weekend in the #6 Deer Excavating Chevy” stated White.

This weekend’s race at Homestead Miami Speedway is the site of some unfinished business for Derek White. “We came to Homestead last year but missed out on qualifying for the race” said the driver. “This year we’ve come back with better equipment and are better prepared. We want to use this race to show what we’re capable of and that will hopefully generate some more sponsor interest for February at Daytona” he added.

The final race of the 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck series from Homestead Miami Speedway takes place Friday November 19^th. Derek White will practice the #6 Deer Excavating Chevrolet Thursday at the Speedway. Qualifying is scheduled for 5PM on Friday and the 200 mile feature race will go green at 8PM that night. The race can be seen live on SPEED.

NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES SECOND AMERICAN CANADIAN TOUR EVENT FOR 2011

Waterbury, VT – Building on the success of the past two ACT Invitationals, officials from New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) and the American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today that the largest touring late model series will add a second event to the ‘Magic Mile’ in 2011.

The event will be presented as part of the IZOD Indy Car Series weekend on August 12-13, 2011 at the largest sports and entertainment facility in New England, the region’s only super speedway. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Division will join the ACT Late Models as part of an ‘ALL STAR’ weekend for short track racing, featuring full-fender ACT Late Models and the very popular open-wheeled NASCAR Modifieds.

“The past two years, the ACT Invitational has provided entertaining and exciting racing for our fans here,” said Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of NHMS. This premier short track touring series helped grow our annual September NASCAR Saturday into a great tripleheader.

“When we added the IZOD Indy Car Series to our 2011 schedule, August 12-14, I wanted to make Saturday a ‘Short Track Showdown’ that showcases short track stars from around the northeast,” Gappens added. The format and number of teams we expect to be at NHMS for the August 12^th-14^th weekend is unprecedented. It should be very exciting for our fans and for the teams of the ACT.”

The ACT Late Models and NASCAR Modifieds feature events will be run on Saturday afternoon, August 13, which also includes Indy Car Series practice and record-breaking qualifying.

According to officials at the ACT headquarters, the event will be open to all ACT affiliate track Late Model teams that are a.) ACT legal, b.) in the top 15 in weekly points at an ACT affiliate track by entry deadline, c.) enter the event timely, and d.) get approval of their entry from their local track and from ACT. Additional teams from both touring series of the American Canadian Tour in the US and Quebec will be eligible to enter and go through the approval process. Each of the touring divisions will receive points toward the 2011 championships.

“Obviously, we are very excited about this announcement for ACT Late Model teams from throughout the region. This will certainly be different than this coming year’s ACT Invitational race on September 24^th. After a couple years of watching how exciting and respectful the Late Model teams have been at New Hampshire, we wanted to give more Late Model teams an opportunity to race there. Being at Loudon over Indy weekend August 12-14, will be a dream come true for many of the Late Model teams. We expect to have as many as 100 teams trying to qualify for what will be a very unique short track kind of race on the ‘big track’,” said Tom Curley, the President of the American Canadian Tour.

More details regarding qualifying procedures and purses for the NHMS ACT Late Model ALL STAR event are expected in the coming months.

DELAWARE SPEEDWAY: Whelen Modified Tour heading to Delaware in 2011

Delaware Speedway's historic 60th season is set to be an exciting one as the speedway begins to rollout its plans to celebrate. The speedway took to the A-Channel News at Six airwaves this evening with NASCAR representatives Bob Duvall and George Silbermann to unveil the first part of that celebration: this season the famous NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will make its first ever stop in at Canada's most historic asphalt racetrack.

More than a first for Delaware Speedway, the event also represents a first for the tour itself as it will be the first ever Canadian race for the tour. The tour will be at the track September 3 and 4 as part of the Great Canadian Race Weekend. The main event will run on September 4.

"The Whelen Modified Tour has been one of the top fan requests to have brought to the track for a number of years," said track General Manager Joe Czernai. "We're proud to have come to the point where we can offer this event as part of our racing lineup, more of which will be announced in the coming weeks".

The Whelen Modified Tour is one of four NASCAR sanctioned regional touring series across the United States, along with the Whelen Southern Modified Tour and the East & West K&N Pro Series. The tour is considered the next level above the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series division, in which Delaware Speedway drivers compete on a weekly basis and is a developmental step for drivers aiming to compete in the top levels of NASCAR competition.

The Whelen Modifieds themselves trace their development to the early days of stockcar racing and are considered NASCAR's oldest racing division. The vehicles are powered by 625 horse power V8 engines, the cars are capable of speeds of up to 150 mph (approximately 240 kph) when set loose on an open track. Being their first stop at Delaware Speedway, discovering how they will perform on the half-mile is one of the thrills that await fans in September.

Delaware Speedway is also announcing plans to field a competitor in the event. The track has moved to acquire a Whelen Modified vehicle and plans to put home track hero D.J. Kennington of St. Thomas behind the wheel for the historic race. Kennington began his career racing in the Street Stock division at the track seventeen years ago and has since moved through the ranks of Late Model and touring series competition. Kennington has competed in the NASCAR Nationwide series and has won the two most recent NASCAR Canadian Tire Series races held at the track. He also recently earned the 2010 championship in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.

Ticket availability for the event and season pass information for the full season will be announced in the near future. All information will be posted to the track website as soon as it is available, at www.delawarespeedway.com.

NASCAR Canadian Tire PR : 2011 Schedule

Season Opens May 28 at Mosport Speedway; Covers 12 Tracks In Five Provinces

· Circuit ICAR Date Added To Series Slate

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (November 10, 2010) – NASCAR announced today the 2011 schedule for the fifth season of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1, which takes the series to some of the top racing facilities throughout Canada.

The schedule features 12 dates at 12 different tracks across five provinces. The slate includes tracks and events familiar to the series, but the addition of another road-course event is new for next season.

The 2011 campaign gets underway on Saturday, May 28 at Mosport Speedway near Bowmanville, Ont. It is the first time the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series opens its season at the half-mile oval. Last season, Don Thomson Jr. earned the victory in an August race. This will be the earliest date the track has hosted Canada's premier racing series.

The season's second date takes the Canadian Tire Series to a new venue – Circuit ICAR located on the grounds of Montreal's Mirabel Airport. The 1.86-mile road course is located on the former passenger terminal's apron.

The series again will be included in many of Canada's largest motorsports events. For the fifth consecutive year, the Canadian Tire Series will share Montreal's legendary Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on IÎe Notre Dame with the NASCAR Nationwide Series. This year's signature event on the schedule is slated for Saturday, Aug. 20. Additionally, a date at Toronto's Exhibition Place is set for Saturday, July 9. It is a pairing with the IZOD IndyCar Series at the popular Honda Indy Toronto. Two-time series champion Andrew Ranger picked up wins in both of these races last season.

The annual swing through Western Canada will include stops at Motoplex Speedway in Vernon, B.C., and Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon, Sask. Both events resulted in standing-room-only crowds with Scott Steckly winning in British Columbia, and eventual series title winner DJ Kennington in Saskatchewan.

Another popular date is the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres in Quebec, which is on tap for Aug. 6-7. Last season, Ranger thrilled the fans of his home province with his third straight victory on the 1.53-mile temporary street course.

In what has become a tradition, the season will close and a new champion crowned at Kawartha Speedway, a .375-mile oval near Peterborough, Ont., on Saturday, Sept. 24. Last year, Pete Shepherd III picked up his first series-career win in the event, while Kennington celebrated his first series championship.

The 2011 calendar of races was revealed to many of the series' competitors and track operators at the NASCAR Canadian Recognition VIP Reception held Wednesday evening at The Fermenting Cellar inside The Distillery in downtown Toronto. This event recognized the accomplishments of participants in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1, as well as competitors participating in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series in Canada.

Other 2011 highlights include:

*       The 2011 schedule includes races on seven ovals: Auto Clearing Motor Speedway, Barrie Speedway, Delaware Speedway, Kawartha Speedway, Mosport Speedway, Motoplex Speedway and Riverside International Speedway; and five road courses: Circuit de Trois-Rivieres, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Circuit ICAR, Mosport International Raceway and the temporary street course at Toronto's Exhibition Place.
*       June 11 will be the series' third consecutive year of competing at Delaware Speedway. Kennington has held serve at his home track by being victorious in each of the first two races there.

*       On June 25-26, the series will run at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ont., at the facility's 2.459-mile, 10-turn road course. The race is part of an eventful weekend at the 750-acre facility. Last year, JR Fitzpatrick out dueled both Ranger and Jason Bowles for his second win at the track.
*       The Barrie (Ont.) Speedway date is set for Saturday, Sept. 10. Each of the past four trips to Barrie on this weekend has resulted in overflow crowds. The .333-mile tri-oval always produces one of the most exciting and action-filled events of the season. In 2010, Kennington edged Thomson by just .015 of a second.
*       The trip east to the Maritime Province of Nova Scotia for a Saturday, Sept. 17 event at Riverside International Speedway is a popular stop for the competitors. Tackling the high-banked turns of the .333-mile scale version of the legendary Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway is always a thrill for both competitors and fans. Kennington collected his fifth win of the season in this event.
