Maxime Plante #79 part premier devant les frères Clair Gino #22J et Mario #22C. À la première relance, Gino met la patte devant Plante. Gino mènera jusqu'au tour 26 où son frère qui était deuxième depuis le tour 17 le dépasse. Mario conserve la pôle jusqu'à la reprise du tour 55 où le ONE de David Hébert le contourne par le bas. Chris Raabe #01 est alors 3ème devant Dominic Dufault #63. Mario reprend la tête devant Hébert au tour 61, mais 4 tours plus tard, le One refait le bas pour la pôle. Entre temps, Raabe et Dufault suivent toujours, mais le 54 de Steve Bernard est maintenant 5ème. Il a dépassé le 21 de Yan Bussière au tour 63. Au tour 83, alors qu'il était toujours 2ème, Mario Clair quitte pour les puits avec une crevaison. Le ONE demeure inébranlable sur la pôle jusqu'à la complétion de la finale. À la relance du tour 84, Chris Raabe veut être deuxième, mais le 63 de Dufault est plus rapide à l'intérieur et le dépasse au tour 85. Le sort est scellé. Derrière eux, le 54 de Steve Bernard et le 1* de Steve Bernier se font la guerre y allant même d'un trois de large dans le dernier tour avec le 21 de Yan Bussière.

Les maskoutains Pierre Laramée #91P et Réjean Plante dans le 07 donnent le coup d'envoi de la finale. Or Pierre doit se résoudre au premier tour à l'abandon après avoir perdu sa position et s'être fait happé par le reste du peloton. À la relance, le 07 reste premier et à sa suite, on retrouve désormais le 95 de Félix Murray. Au 4ème tour, Martin Pelletier #92 contourne Murray par l'intérieur. Alex Lajoie #33 le suit dans son dépassement. Au tour 6, Pelletier et Lajoie dépassent à présent le 07. Shane Pecore #0 défait le trio de tête (92, 33, 07) en dépassant par l'extérieur le 07 de Réjean. Au 13ème tour, c'est cette fois Bryan Cloutier #93 qui contourne Plante aussi par le large. Pelletier, Lajoie, Pecore, Cloutier et Alexandre Salvas #8 sont alors les 5 premiers. À la relance du 14ème tour, Cloutier fait l'extérieur de Pecore pour la 3ème place. Au tour suivant, le 93 de Bryan fait de même au 33 de Lajoie pour la 2ème. Au 17ème tour, Pelletier mène toujours avec Bryan Cloutier à ses trousses. Cloutier fait l'extérieur de Pelletier pour la pôle au tour 18, mais le 92 la lui reprend au tour 21. Au 23ème tour, Alex Lajoie montre qu'il est le plus vite au bas en dépassant d'un trait le 93 et le 92. Or Cloutier #93 n'a pas dit son dernier mot et redevient meneur au 27ème tour devant Lajoie, Pelletier, Pecore et… Martin Hébert #43. Hébert parti dernier arrive 5ème en faisant l'intérieur du 8 de Salvas. Au tour 29, alors que Cloutier et Lajoie sont premiers devant Pecore, le 43 dépasse maintenant le 92 par l'intérieur pour la 4ème place. Le tour suivant, Pelletier reprend sa position par l'extérieur sur Hébert. Au tour 31, Pelletier #92 dépasse Pecore #0 pour récupérer sa 3ème derrière Cloutier premier et Lajoie 2ème. Au 33ème tour, Hébert #43 contourne par l'extérieur Shane pour la 4ème place derrière le 92. Salvas dépasse aussi le visiteur #0 pour la position numéro 5. Cloutier demeure premier du tour 27 jusqu'au 42ème tour où le 33 de Lajoie le dépasse une fois pour toutes par le bas. Pelletier est 3ème jusqu'au tour 37 alors qu'Hébert le dépasse. Au tour 44, Hébert #43 dépasse Cloutier #93 par l'intérieur pour la 2ème place. Au tour 47, lors de la dernière relance, le 33 de Lajoie et le 43 d'Hébert mènent encore, mais le 92 de Pelletier se glisse troisième à l'extérieur de Cloutier #93. Juste sous le drapeau le 8 d'Alexandre Salvas met les roues devant Bryan.

Nous avons eu la chance de voir tourner 3 nouveaux Sportsman. D'abord, Pascal Richard ancien pilote dans la catégorie Amateur et Lightning Sprint s'est prêté au jeu dans le 50 de son cousin David Bourgeois. Pascal Racette #83 pilote dans la classe Rookie à Cornwall et Brockville a délaissé les recrues pour venir courir parmi les grands. Enfin, Cédric Gauvreau #22C pilote de Kart à Cornwall qui en était à sa deuxième course seulement (sa première était à Brewerton) s'est joint au peloton de 27 voitures. Dans la finale, Gauvreau, âgé seulement de 15 ans a terminé 17ème sur le tour des meneurs, ce qui est assez prometteur.

Sabrina Blanchet #79S mène les 3 premiers tours pour être dépassée par Pierre Hébert #71H. de l'intérieur. La 79 se rabat aussi à l'intérieur au tour 4, mais le 48 de Carl Labonté en profite pour la contourner par l'extérieur. Depuis le premier tour, Jeremy Roy #90 et Keven Hébert #71H les suivent en 4ème et 5ème places. Un jaune survient au 12ème tour. Hébert père, Labonté et Blanchet dirigent encore le groupe, mais Hébert fils dépasse Roy. Au 14ème tour, Patrick Laguë #96 fait pareil et devance Roy. Le top 5 demeurera inchangé jusqu'à la fin.

Keven Hébert #71H est premier pour les deux premiers tours de l'épreuve. Au deuxième tour, son père dépasse le 48 de Carl Labonté pour se placer second derrière son fils. Pierre Hébert #1 passe premier au 3ème tour à l'intérieur de Carl Labonté alors que Keven a glissé 4ème derrière Patrick Laguë #96. La recrue Sébastien Bélanger #99 est 5ème à partir du 2ème tour. Pierre Hébert #1 mènera la finale du tour 3 jusqu'à la fin. Au 4ème tour, Laguë passe deuxième en faisant l'intérieur de Labonté. Le 71H fait pareil pour passer 3ème. Labonté et Bélanger suivent dans l'ordre. Au 8ème tour, apparaît en 6ème position la recrue Sébastien Couture #03 qui avait fait un capotage en pratiqu. Au 12ème tour, Couture dépasse l'autre recrue (Bélanger) pour la 5ème place. Le drapeau rouge tombe tout de suite après. À la relance, Laguë est toujours deuxième, mais Labonté se jette 3ème devant Keven. Couture reste 5ème, mais pas pour longtemps. La recrue #03 passe le jeune Hébert au 14ème tour pour la 4ème place. À deux tours de la fin, Labonté #48 fait l'intérieur de Laguë pour la 2ème place. Sous le drapeau, Couture #03 met le nez devant Lagüe #96 pour la 3ème.

Dès le 3ème tour, nous avons en 5ème le 36 de Vincent St-Louis. Les demoiselles mènent toujours le bal alors qu'au 6ème tour, Roy les rejoint en 3ème place en faisant l'intérieur de Berthiaume. Bryan Préville #51 est alors 5ème après avoir dépassé St-Louis. Ce dernier suite à un jaune est relégué à l'avant-dernier rang au tour 8. À la relance de ce tour, Préville se rend 4ème devant Berthiaume. Ce tour est repris et cette fois le 91 de Félix Roy #91 devient premier en faisant le large de Mlle Nadeau. Fan Appreciation On Tap As PASS South Takes On Hickory This Weekend

CHARLOTTE, NC (September 20) – In late 2005, the ranks of Super Late Model racing in the Carolinas was shrinking. The few tracks that featured the division were eliminating them and there was not a series for teams to follow. That winter, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry decided to take a big risk in expanding his sanctioning body that was finding success in New England. When the inaugural PASS South Super Late Model season was announced in 2006, there were many naysayers that did not think a series would be viable. But, when 33 cars showed up at Hickory Motor Speedway for the first Easter Bunny 150 that spring, the naysayers were quieted and a new series was born. Now, over 10 years later, PASS South continues as the oldest and most successful Super Late Model sanction in the region, with hundreds of drivers having raced in the division throughout its history. But, PASS South would not be where it is today without the fans. So it is only fitting that this weekend PASS honors its fans with PASS Fan Appreciation at the track where it all began. For just $15 adult admission, fans will get to see a full field of PASS South Super Late Models compete for 150 laps, plus they will see the Mid-Atlantic Limited Late Models race for $1500 to win and the Southern Outlaw Street Stocks compete for $1000 to win.

Andy Loden returns to PASS South competition this weekend at Hickory for the first time since 2013. The former three-time Hickory Motor Speedway track champion will pilot Robert Hamke's potent #74 as he seeks his fifth career PASS South Super Late Model win. After moving to Super Late Model racing in 2010, Loden quickly established himself as one of the fastest drivers in PASS South setting 12 quick qualifying times over the years and finishing third in points in 2010 and 2011. But, Loden has stepped aside in recent years to support his son's Quarter-Midget racing efforts. Despite a little rust, Loden is excited to step into the car that Preston Peltier has piloted in recent years to several wins at Hickory.

"I don't have any expectations, just looking to have some fun and help Robert [Hamke] work out some stuff on his new car," says Loden. "I think we can run good, but I'll definitely have some cobwebs to work out."

As Loden looks for his first PASS South win since 2011, PASS South points leaders, Matt Craig and Kodie Conner will continue their race for the series title. Local favorite and former series champion, Tyler Church, returns along with veterans Kelly Moore, Jimmy Doyle, and Lee Hansard. Colt James will make his first start of the season following his track championship at Southern National and will be joined by June's winner at Hickory, Chris Dilbeck. JP Josiasse will make the trip from Ontario, while JD Roberts will make the tow from New York and Matt Sever will be coming from Pennsylvania. Rookies Garrett Archer and Justin LaDuke have also filed entries for this weekend.

All the action gets under way on Friday at Hickory Motor Speedway with rotating practice for all division from 3 – 6:05 PM. On Saturday, practice will begin at 3 PM with qualifying starting at 5:15 PM, followed by the Pit Party, and main events going green at 7:05 PM for the PASS South Super Late Models, Mid-Atlantic Limited Late Models, and Southern Outlaw Street Stocks.

Quenneville Secures Second-Straight NASCAR Vermont State Championship

Quenneville Secures Second-Straight NASCAR Vermont State Championship

Two-track season at Devil's Bowl Speedway proved to be a challenge

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Vince Quenneville Jr. is celebrating this week as he is officially named the Vermont State Champion of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. The Brandon, Vt., driver has won the title for a second consecutive year, but his road to the championship was much more challenging in 2016.

Over 60 tracks across North America operate with NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) sanction, with competing for state, provincial, and national championships under a common point system title. Each driver's 18 best results from January 1 through September 18 count toward the titles, which allows drivers to replace bad finishes in favor of better finishes once they've reached their 18-race maximum.

Devil's Bowl Speedway, Quenneville's home track in West Haven, Vt., ran both its half-mile Asphalt Track and its 3/10-mile Dirt Track under NWAAS sanction for the first time in 2016, with Sportsman Modifieds as the designated"Division I" class on both surfaces. Quenneville has competed full-time on both surfaces, running 28 races prior to last Sunday's cutoff date, with four victories on asphalt and another on dirt. Bobby Hackel, from Rensselaer, N.Y., was four races short of the maximum before September 18 but was successful enough – with six wins on dirt – that he had a mathematical shot at passing Quenneville on the final night of the NASCAR points run.

Mother Nature had other plans, though, as heavy rains on Saturday night and Sunday morning left the dirt track oversaturated, forcing the event to be cancelled. Quenneville breathed a sigh of relief on Sunday afternoon as the news broke that the race was cancelled and he would be the champion again; that relief was extra sweet as he had just missed the Asphalt Track championship in a tiebreaker one week earlier.

"A lot of people told me before the season started that they thought I would end up as the state champion again," Quenneville said. "We had a good start, but things started going wrong in the middle of the year. The engine in the dirt car gave us trouble, I flipped over one night, we had a couple of bad runs on the asphalt, and then Bobby [Hackel] started winning a lot of races. It got a little nerve-wracking toward the end."

Quenneville's John Danyow-owned No. 78 Black Diamond Builders/Champlain Construction cars hit their stride again in August and finished the NASCAR points season strong. He says he felt good heading into the September 18 event.

"Bobby's only chance to beat me was to win that race and have me finish outside the top five, but my dirt car has been running well lately and I was confident that we could hold on and get the championship without a problem," Quenneville said. "It was a lot of hard work and dedication from my team all year, and it paid off."

Jackie Brown Jr. of Hurley, N.Y., will be recognized as the 2016 Vermont State Rookie of the Year. As a first-time NWAAS Division I license holder in 2016, Brown was considered a rookie in the NASCAR program. Like Quenneville, he has raced in all 28 events to date; he finished in the top five in half of those races and scored third place in the state championship points behind Quenneville and Hackel.

Hometown driver Billy Lussier of Fair Haven, Vt., finished fourth in the state standings with Asphalt Track champion Jason Durgan of Morrisonville, N.Y., fifth. They were followed by Kenny Tremont Jr., rookie Tim LaDuc, Ron Proctor, rookie Justin Comes, and Travis Bruno.

Quenneville will celebrate his championship at the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Awards in December, held at the Charlotte Convention Center at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C. He will be joined by Brown, Durgan, and the winner of the Dirt Track championship, which will be decided on Saturday, October 1.

Devil's Bowl Speedway has two events remaining on its 2016 schedule to determine the Dirt Track champions. The second annual Fabian Earthmoving "Green Mountain Sprint Car Nationals" event is on Sunday, September 25 at 5:00 p.m. and includes the Sprint Cars of New England, the Central Vermont Motorcycles Sportsman Modifieds, the Rosen & Berger Auto Recyclers Renegades, and the Portland Glass Mini Stocks.

The season wraps up on Saturday, October 1 at 5:00 p.m. with the "King of the Clay" Sportsman Modified 100 presented by The Stove Depot, with Renegades, Mini Stocks, and an Enduro Series race.

Cayea Wins, Heywood Fifth Championship

PLATTSBURGH- Mooers driver, Chris Cayea, picked up his first win in the final event of the year for the Ernie's Discount Tools Sportsman Modified division at Airborne Park Speedway.

Cayea started on the pole and was able to fend off an early challenge from Bucko Branham. In the closing laps, Branham began to reel Cayea back in, but Cayea's fifteen car length lead was large enough to hold on for the win.

Danny Sullivan, Codie Aubin and Roger Labreche completed the top five.

In spite of his problems in Sunday's championship event, the four-time defending track champion, Nick Heywood, had built up a large enough point lead, that his finishing position didn't matter. Heywood lost the rear end of his number 29 and lasted just five laps in the feature event. Heywood's final margin of victory is 40 points over Branham. The point title now gives Heywood five consecutive point championships in the Sportsman Modified division.

"I really have to thank all the guys that work hard on the car every week," Heywood said. "This division has a great group of guys to race against, especially Bucko, he offered me his car for the feature to try and pick up some NASCAR points."

Branham edged out Sullivan for the second spot in the point standings, with just one point separating the two. Jamy Begor and Jamie LaFountain finished fourth and fifth respectively in points.

The Jeffords Steel Renegade division ran two 25-lap segment races on Sunday for their final event. The driver with the lowest combined score through the segments would be the eventual winner.

Shawn Duquette had a pair of second place finishes for a total of four points, giving him his fourth win of 2016. Zach Rabtoy, who finished first in segment one, finished fourth in segment two for a combined total of five points, good enough for second place overall. Richie Turner finished third overall, including finishing first in the second segment. Brent Jarvis and Robert Gordon completed the top five.

Gordon is the Renegade point champion for 2016. Gordon finished with an 18 point lead over Turner. Both drivers collected three wins on the season. Duquette, Rabtoy and Jason McClatchie complete spots three through five in the point standings.

Josh LaPorte won his fifth Busch Beer Mini Mod feature onboard his number 45b. LaPorte had the tie breaker over Dale O'Neil, as both drivers had a three point total through two segments. Tyler Irwin, Tim LaFountain and Michael Whalen completed the top five.

O'Neil is the point champion in the Mini Mod division, finishing with a 54 point advantage over LaPorte. O'Neil collected thirteen wins this season. Tim LaFountain, Tyler Irwin and Robert Foley complete the top five in points.

Jérémy Bergeron remporte le championnat

C'est le samedi 17 septembre, à l'Autodrome Chaudière Vallée-Jonction qu'a eu lieu le dernier programme de la saison 2016 de la Série Mini Sportsman Qc lors dernier Round de DMCC Drift.

Nos jeunes pilotes qui ont participé à 6 programmes cette saison, dont un au Circuit Riverside Speedway Ste-Croix,ont offert une excellente performance aux spectateurs présents.

Lors de la première finale, s'élançant de la 4e position, le #81 Jérémy Bergeron a rapidement pris la tête du peloton. Le #71 Nicolas Côté a suivi la ligne du meneur au championnat et s'est glissé une place derrière le suivant de près.

Alors que nos deux meneurs passaient la ligne d'arrivée, un accrochage a eu lieu entre deux pilotes privant le #37 William Gariepy de prendre le départ de la 2e finale.

La deuxième finale a donc eu lieu avec un pilote en moins. Pour une deuxième finale, le #81 Jérémy Bergeron commandité par Circuit Riverside Speedway et DMCC Drift a mené la course pendant les 20 tours et a subi la pression du jeune #71 Nicolas Côté de Lévis. Tentant de le dépasser au dernier tour, c'est l'expérience de pilotage de Bergeron qui aura eu le dessus.

La #36 Sabina Bundic, aux prises avec une voiture survireuse et difficile à maintenir en piste a su rester constante en piste s'assurant ainsi la 3e position au combiné.

Le dernier podium de la saison 2016 est donc composé du #81 Jérémy Bergeron de Ste-Croix est monté sur la plus haute marche du podium suivi du #71 Nicolas Côté à bord de sa voiture aux couleurs de Létourno Service de Pneus et Métalico. Le podium s'est complété par la #36 Sabina Bundic commandité par VR Victoriaville.

Confirmant son championnat Jérémy Bergeron devient ainsi le 3e champion de la Série Mini Sportsman; ses deux victoires ainsi que son championnat lui auront valu l'étoile de la course.

Un merci spécial aux pilotes DMCC Drift qui ont permis à nos pilotes de vivre un moment privilégié lors de leur présentation. Félicitation à tous ceux qui ont contribué à la saison 2016. Déjà plusieurs pilotes ont confirmé leur retour pour 2016 et de nouveau seront en piste.

Retour en force pour Martin Roy au Chicagoland Speedway

NASCAR Xfinity – Drive for Safety 300

Joliet, IL, le 18 septembre 2016 - Le pilote Martin Roy a repris le volant de belle façon en prenant la 23^e place, samedi soir en série NASCAR Xfinity. Après trois mois d'inactivité, il était de retour en piste pour le Drive for Safety 300, au Chicagoland Speedway.

Le pilote et propriétaire de l'écurie King Autosport est heureux des performances de son équipe ce week-end. « J'ai pu gagner des places et montrer nos couleurs tout en préservant la voiture. J'ai réussi à qualifier la voiture Gamache/Côté/Arcopel/Entreposage Fantastik n°90 en 29^e place, même en étant prudent pour ne pas risquer un accident inutile », a raconté le pilote de Napierville, dont la dernière course avait eu lieu en juin dernier, au Michigan International Speedway.

Pour Roy, le résultat est grandement satisfaisant : il a réussi à s'approcher du top-20 en conservant la voiture en bon état, et ce, malgré un moteur de second ordre. « Nous avons également réussi un sans-faute lors des arrêts aux puits. À ce titre, nous avons une belle association avec l'équipe de puits de la pilote de la Coupe Sprint Danica Patrick », a poursuivi Roy.

L'équipe King Autosport, qui en est à sa deuxième saison complète en NASCAR Xfinity, progresse aussi au championnat. La voiture Gamache/Côté/Arcopel/Entreposage Fantastik n°90 occupe le 25^e rang au classement des propriétaires.

« Notre programme en NASCAR Xfinity va bon train. La demande pour louer nos voitures augmente, et nous prouvons que nous sommes capables de faire notre place dans la deuxième série de stock-car en importance aux États-Unis », a conclu le propriétaire de King Autosport. La deuxième voiture de l'équipe, pilotée par Dexter Bean, a aussi pris le départ de la course et a dû retraiter aux puits après 36 tours.

La série NASCAR Xfinity, l'antichambre de la Coupe Sprint, revient en action dès samedi prochain, le 24 septembre, du côté du Kentucky Speedway.

Tate Fogleman Takes Long Awaited 1^st Career PASS South Win At Hickory

HICKORY, NC (September 24) – Defending Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model Champion, Tate Fogleman, prevailed in a race-long battle with Chris Dilbeck to capture his first career series win in the Catawba Valley 150 on Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway. With his win, Fogleman and his father, Jay, join Mike and Ben Rowe as the only father-son duo to ever capture wins in the South's oldest Super Late Model tour.

"Yeah, it's definitely been a long time coming, that's for sure," said Fogleman in an emotional victory lane. "He [Dilbeck] definitely put up a fight there at the end and I had my work cut out for me to get around him. This has been the closest we've been to victory lane and I just couldn't let that one get away."

In qualifying, rookie Kodie Conner captured his first career quick qualifying lap with a time of 14.924 seconds (87.563 MPH). After the top 10 qualifiers redraw, Conner would drop to the ninth starting position, while six-time Hickory winner, Preston Peltier, and Lucas Jones would move to the front row.

While Peltier would jump into the lead at the start, Conner and fellow PASS South championship contender, Matt Craig, would be plagued with problems. Conner would suffer a flight right front tire after contact with Jones as they battled for fifth on lap four. On the restart, Craig would suffer a broken axle, ending his night early with a 26^th place finish. Conner would struggle all night and finish 14^th. Conner now leads the standings over Craig by less than 10 points heading to the championship finale at Concord Speedway onNovember 5.

Fogleman was able to gain the lead from Peltier on an early restart, only to be passed by seventh place starter, Tyler Church, on lap 20. Church would continue to lead the early going, but the caution would wave again on lap 40 when Jimmy Doyle and Nick Robinson made hard contact with the backstretch wall.

After a spin by Tyler Williams and Kaylee Stukas three laps later, June Hickory winner Chris Dilbeck would flex his muscle as he bypassed Church for the lead. The caution flag waved again on lap 63 for a spin in turn two by Andy Loden. During the caution, Peltier, who had been dropping back, pitted to fix a power steering issue.

While Dilbeck continued to lead, Peltier and Loden were dicing their way back up through the field and into the top 10. Following a crash by Justin Laduke with 36 laps to go, Fogleman would get the best of Dilbeck on the restart to move back into the lead. The leaders would make contact in turn two with 25 laps to go, causing both cars to momentarily get sideways, but they would gather it back in and continue the fight.

The final caution of the night would wave with 12 laps to go for a scary crash involving Jones and Trey Jarrell as they battled for fourth. Both made contact with the frontstretch wall with Jones careening into a tire barrier entering turn one. While both cars suffered significant damage, the drivers emerged unscathed.

On the restart, Fogleman struggled to come up to speed, allowing Dilbeck to go back out front. Fogleman would not be denied though, tapping Dilbeck in turn four to retake the lead with 10 laps to go. Fogleman led the rest of the way to take the win over Dilbeck, Peltier, Brandon Setzer, and Loden. Rounding out the top 10 were Jared Irvan, Jody Measamer, Heath Hindman, Lee Hansard, and Matt Sever.

The next event will be November 4-5 as the PASS National and PASS South Super Late Model champions will be crowned as part of the 14^th Annual North-South Shootout at Concord Speedway.

MacDonald on Top for Fifth Time at Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational

Loudon, NH – Eddie MacDonald reigned supreme once again at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 24, taking the lead from Jimmy Hebert with five laps to go in the Eighth Annual Auto Parts ACT Invitational en route to his fifth career victory in the event.

Rowley, MA's MacDonald started 31^st on the grid and was running third to Williamstown, VT's Hebert and Hinesburg, VT's Bobby Therrien when the event's fourth caution came out for a four-car wreck in which both Aaron Fellows and Mark Jenison made hard contact with the turn one wall. Therrien got the jump on the initial restart, but the advantage was erased when Brian Tarbell spun in turn two, bringing the caution back out before a lap was completed and thus sending Hebert back to the point.

On the second restart attempt, MacDonald dove three-wide to the inside entering turn one, completing the third-to-first pass on the backstretch. Though Hebert and Alex Labbe dogged MacDonald following a final caution for Jonathan Bouvrette's backstretch spin on lap 46, "The Outlaw" held strong to take home the win and an $8,100 payday.

Hebert jumped to the initial lead over polesitter Kyle Welch and looked like the driver to beat for much of the event. Rowland Robinson, Jr. nosed ahead for a circuit following a lap-nine caution for an incident involving Bucky Demers and Donald Theetge, but otherwise it was all Hebert as he and Woody Pitkat drove away from the pack in the middle stages.

Therrien and MacDonald came on strong as the race entered its second half, and both had caught Pitkat when Nick Sweet spun exiting turn four to bring out the third caution on lap 35. Hebert was able to fend off a surge by both on the restart, but the pair of cautions with five laps remaining gave MacDonald the break he needed to capture the victory.

Hebert settled for second, while Labbe came from the 30^th starting position to finish third. Dillon Moltz came home fourth after starting 26^th, with Therrien completing the top-five. Tom Carey III took sixth in his first start at "The Magic Mile". Robinson, Pitkat, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., and Ray Parent rounded out the top-10.

The ACT Late Models head to Barre, VT's Thunder Road Speedbowl nextSaturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2 for the 54^th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank. Booth Bros./H.P. Hood Qualifying Day on Saturday will feature time trials and Triple 50 qualifying races to set the 30-car starting field, with the three-segment Milk Bowl on Sunday. Mini Milk Bowls for the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen and Allen Lumber Street Stocks will also be on the card. Post time is 1:00pm both days. Admission is just $30 for a two-day ticket or $10 for a Saturday-only ticket, with kids 12 and under admitted free.

Loudon, NH – Lempster, NH's Kyle Welch and Williamstown, VT's Jimmy Hebert will lead the field to the green for the Eighth Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational at Loudon's New Hampshire Motor Speedway Saturday, September 24.

Welch is competing in his fourth Invitational and will be looking for his first top-10 finish. Hebert led the majority of the 2015 Invitational before finishing fifth.

A pair of Vermont drivers, John Donahue and Bobby Therrien, will start in row two. Donahue is a winner this season at Barre, VT's Thunder Road, while Therrien captured the ACT Late Model Tour season opener at Maine's Oxford Plains Speedway. Jeff Marshall, Ryan Olsen, Tyler Cahoon, Quinny Welch, Chris Riendeau, and Josh Masterson will complete the top-10 on the grid.

Four-time and defending Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational winner Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA will have to come from 31^st in the starting line-up. 2010 Invitational winner Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. will start 28^th, while 2012 winner Ray Parent will roll off 25^th. 2014 winner Wayne Helliwell, Jr. will not compete due to an illness.

Polewarczyk led the final practice session for the ACT Late Models, clocking a fast lap of 31.486 seconds. MacDonald was second-fastest, followed by Dillon Moltz, ACT point leader Nick Sweet and Parent. Dany Trepanier and Alex Labbe were the fast Quebec drivers in eighth and ninth, respectively.

Another pair of Quebec competitors, Jean-Francois Dery and Donald Theetge, encounted engine problems during the session. Both are attempting to make repairs in time for the Invitational.

The Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational is scheduled to roll off the grid Saturday, September 24 at 5:00pm as part of Tripleheader Saturday.
