He sustained a collision during the final lap of the BMW Performance 200, in Grand-AM Continental Tire GS series, on the legendary Daytona International Speedway in Florida. |

Jean-François took over from teammate John Miller only 30 minutes after the race started: a race of two and a half hours. John had qualified the car in 17th position on Thursday’s qualifications. Despite mechanical problems (electrical and fuel pump), that was resolved quickly by an experienced team of mechanics. « It’s unfortunate. We were in an excellent position.
