John Tecce, directeur de l’équipe, a qualifié la Porsche Carrera no 38 en 20e position ce matin. Jean-François Dumoulin connait bien la piste et a pris le volant 17 minutes après le début de la course (durée de 2h30 - 83 tours complétés). « Lors de la première séance d’essai, nous avons eu un accrochage et nous croyons que le pot d’échappement a été bossé. Nous perdions de la puissance dans les lignes droites. Par contre, dans les courbes, nous étions très rapides », précise Dumoulin. Cinq drapeaux jaunes ont ponctué la course. Jean-François Dumoulin était en 7e position lorsqu’il subi un léger accrochage au 59e tour le reléguant en 11e position. La stratégie en piste lui a permis d’effectuer une remontée et de terminer en 9e position. « Le set-up de BGB Motorsports était excellent, indique-t-il. We were loosing power in the straight ways, however, we were very fast in the corners », specified Dumoulin. Five yellow flags interrupted the race. Jean-Francois Dumoulin was in 7th position when he encountered a collision in the 59th lap pushing him back to the 11th position. The race strategy allowed us to regain positions and obtain a 9th position for the finish. « BGB Motorsports teams’ set-up was excellent.
