ACT Finale Postponed to Sunday
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ACT – 100312 Waterbury, VT – The Rent-A-Wreck Fall Foliage 200 at Plattsburgh, NY’s Airborne Speedway scheduled for Saturday, October 6 has been postponed due to rain, and will be run the next day, Sunday, October 7th. The race, which is the final event of the 2012 American Canadian Tour season, will have a post time of 1:00pm. |
The duel between Dover, NH’s Wayne Helliwell, Jr. and Williston, VT’s Brian Hoar will have to wait another day, but will resume on Sunday to settle the American Canadian Tour Championship. Helliwell, who currently leads Hoar by eight points, is looking to claim his first ACT Championship, while Hoar tries to earn an unprecedented ninth. Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., who won last year’s event, will try to repeat the feat, but he will face challenges from Fort Kent, ME’s Austin Theriault, Milton, VT’s Brent Dragon, Groveton, NH’s Randy Potter, as well as 7-time American Canadian Tour Champion Jean Paul Cyr. Airborne Speedway Renegades and 602 Modifieds will also be on the action-packed card, battling it out with 30 lap features for money and glory with their championship point battles already wrapped up. The ACT season will conclude this Sunday, October 7 with the Rent-A-Wreck Fall Foliage 200 at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburg, NY. Post time is 1pm.
