Montréal, le 13 avril 2011 - La seule manche canadienne d'une des séries majeures de NASCAR, le NAPA Pièces d'auto 200 présenté par Dodge, aura un ambassadeur de qualité à compter du prochain week-end sur le circuit de Lee au New Hampshire. C'est en effet lors de cette première épreuve du championnat ACT que la voiture no 80 du vétéran québécois Donald Theetge affichera sur son capot le logo officiel de l'événement NASCAR Nationwide des 19 et 20 août prochain, au circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. Au New Hampshire, comme à neuf autres reprises par la suite, jusqu'à la mi-août, le populaire coureur de Boischatel sera alors au volant de son bolide LMS. Mais il y a plus : puisque Theetge disputera pour la première fois cet été les manches trifluvienne et montréalaise de la série canadienne de NASCAR, il affichera aussi sur son autre voiture, le logo distinctif de l'événement dans cet autre championnat. | For immediate release Event logo displayed on the hood of his ACT and NASCAR Canada racecars Veteran Donald Theetge Named Ambassador Of The NAPA Auto Parts 200 Presented by Dodge On the Quebec and Northeastern United States Race Tracks SceneMontréal, April 13, 2011 - The NAPA Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge, the only Canadian stop on the NASCAR series major tours, will have an ambassador starting next weekend at Lee USA Speedway in New Hampshire for the opening round of the 2011 American-Canadian Tour (ACT). The event will mark the introduction of the new livery on the hood of the number 80 racecar of veteran Quebec driver Donald Theetge, promoting the August 19-20 NASCAR Nationwide event on Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. In New Hampshire and for nine other ACT race events until the middle of August, the famous driver from Boischatel will be competing with his LMS car displaying the official logo of the Montréal race. Additionally, Theetge will, for the first time ever, be competing this summer in the NASCAR Canada rounds in Trois-Rivières and Montréal displaying the same livery. |

He was champion runner-up in the 1998 Quebec-based Prolab Super Series and in the 2003 ADL Supreme Series. The following year, he captured the LMS Championship crown and finished second in the driver's standings in 2005. Theetge has collected 14 wins in the Québec ACT Series since 2006, winning the championship title in 2006 and 2009. He has claimed two victories in the American ACT Series and competed in 14 CASCAR Series races in the early 2000s, with a best fourth-place finish in Toronto in 2003. Theetge also ran in the Grand-Am Continental Challenge Series at Daytona and Trois-Rivières. "I am very happy to have reached an agreement with the organizers of the NAPA Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge,"said the new ambassador. "This year, I have an excellent reason to promote the event and invite Quebec and American stock car fans to come and see me compete for the first time on Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. This is going to be a very exciting moment for me, but I will need their support to cheer me on as I battle with the leaders." Prior to his first race in Montréal, Donald Theetge's fans can see him in action this weekend in the American ACT season opener at Lee USA Speedway in New Hampshire. Theetge will then take part in the ACT Castrol Edge season opener at Autodrome Montmagny on May 28 and on July 2. His season includes two races in Valley Junction's Autodrome Chaudière on May 21 and August 6, two at Autodrome Saint-Eustache on June 4 and July 16 and at Riverside Speedway in Sainte-Croix on June 18 and July 9. He will be back in New Hampshire for the Loudon race on August 12-13. The Boischatel driver will also compete at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières on August 7.
