GP3R: WHICH CSCC DRIVER WILL WIN ON THE ROAD COURSE

19 DRIVERS WILL CONTEND FOR THE WIN

Trois-Rivières, QC – The drivers of the Canadian Stock Car Championship come to the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres (GP3R) with only one thing on their mind: Leave as the winner of the turn-left and turn-right event. Specialists on the left-turn ovals, they won’t be going in circles this weekend. The urban street course of 1.53-mile is made up of 9 left turns and two right-handers.

The only time LMS (Late Model Sportsman) cars have raced on a road racing circuit dates back to the 2004 GP3R edition. Only three drivers that were present then will be racing in the CSCC race this weekend.

In 2004, Jean-François Déry left with the honours when he beat road racing specialists such as Bertrand Godin, Jacques Villeneuve (the uncle) and Jean-François Dumoulin. Marc-André Cliche (9^th) and Donald Theetge were also present and are back with the firm intention of outdoing their previous performance and that does not exclude winning. Theetge will have a busy weekend, as he will also be racing in the NASCAR Pinty’s race, which will be held immediately before the one for the CSCC.

Among the other drivers who raced the streets of Trois-Rivieres, Samuel Charland (2015), Joe Mayer (2015), Rémi Perreault (2014), Martin Goulet (2014) in stock-cars while they were competing in the Sportsman Quebec or Sportsman Lucas Oil (Autodrome St-Eustache).

With less than 24 hours from the first laps being turned at Trois-Rivieres, no less than nineteen drivers are entered in the event. Many drivers are coming to the event with an impressive road racing resume. All the ingredients necessary for a great show for thousands of fans attending the Grand Prix and who will have the chance to see the drivers four times on track.

The CSCC race, 41 laps or 100 km, Hotel le Concorde 41 presented by Festidrag.tv is part of the NASCAR weekend portion of the 49^th Edition of the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières. Two practice sessions will take place on Saturday, August 11, while qualifying and the feature race, will be held on Sunday, August 12 immediately after the NASCAR Pinty’s race.

Détenteur du titre de recrue de l’année 2011 de cette série, la performance, la passion et la persévérance permettent à Louis-Philippe Dumoulin de concrétiser ce nouveau partenariat et de participer à l’ensemble du championnat de la saison 2012.

Trois-Rivieres, May 9^th, 2012 – The Dumoulin Competition Racing team announces its major partnership between racer Louis-Philippe Dumoulin and WeatherTech Canada for the 2012 NASCAR Canadian Tire season. Titled 2011 Rookie of the Year for the series, performance, passion and perseverance lead Louis-Philippe Dumoulin to continue his progression within the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series through the development of this new partnership, allowing him to compete in the full calendar of the NCTS.

WeatherTech Canada conçoit, développe des accessoires automobiles haut de gamme et sur mesure pour les consommateurs et les manufacturiers. Ils fabriquent et manufacturent digitalement des tapis de voiture toutes saisons, tapis de protection arrière ainsi que des garde-boues (sans vis), aux États-Unis, pour tous types de véhicules en Amérique du Nord. Les ingénieurs utilisent les outils les plus sophistiqués disponibles pour la saisie des données et la géométrie complexe des véhicules, telles que les surfaces au sol, les zones de rangement, les ouvertures de fenêtre ou les ailes (standards de qualité optimale).

Dumoulin Compétition passe à une autre étape qui nécessite un support spécialisé pour la préparation des voitures. « Après trois ans de participation en série NASCAR Canadian Tire, nous sommes prêts à faire le championnat et nous sommes conscients qu'on ne peut pas le faire tout seul. La voiture n°47 WeatherTech Canada / Bellemare sera préparée par l’équipe de Scott Steckly », mentionne l’instructeur de pilotage. Les premiers essais sur circuits routiers ont eu lieu le 1^er mai dernier au Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport), ils poursuivront les essais au même endroit le 10 mai prochain.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, spécialiste des circuits routiers, a participé aux trois dernières courses de la saison sur circuit ovale l’an dernier (Barrie, Ont – Antigonish, N.-S. – Kawartha, Ont.) au volant d’une voiture modifiée et très peu adaptée pour ce genre d’épreuve. Le Québécois souligne que « la préparation spécifique de la voiture d’ovale n°47 WeatherTech Canada / Bellemare sera l’opportunité d’optimiser la technique propre à ce type de piste ».

Jean-François Dumoulin est fier supporteur de son frère et de sa ténacité, propre à la famille Dumoulin. « Nous avons tous travaillé fort depuis 2009 pour trouver du financement et faire une saison complète en série. C'est le résultat d'un travail d'équipe sans relâche », partage l’aîné des frères Dumoulin. Sa participation aux côtés de son frère est confirmée pour les épreuves du Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (3, 4 et 5 août 2012) ainsi qu’au Napa Pièces d’auto 200 de Montréal (16, 17 et 18 août 2012).

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin participera à la première épreuve de la saison lors du Victoria Day SpeedFest du 18 au 20 mai prochain sur le circuit de Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsport Park).

Dumoulin Competition moves to another stage which necessitates a specialized support team for the car preparation. « After three years of participating in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, we are ready to take on the championship, we are also aware of the fact that we cannot achieve this alone. The n°47 WeatherTech Canada / Bellemare car will be prepared by Scott Steckly’s team», mentioned the racing instructor. The first road course trial runs took place on May 1^st at the Canadian Tire Mosport Park (Mosport) and will continue at the same track on May 10^th.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, a road circuit specialist, participated in the last three oval races of the season (Barrie, Ont – Antigonish, N.-S. – Kawartha, Ont.) at the wheel of a car minimally adapted for this type of circuit. The Quebecer underlines that « the specific preparation required for the n°47 WeatherTech Canada / Bellemare oval car will allow us to develop the proper techniques for this type of circuit ».

Jean-Francois Dumoulin is a proud supporter of his brother, for his tenacity a quality specific to the Dumoulin family. « Since 2009, we have worked very hard to find funds that would allow us to do a complete season in this series. Les deux pilotes et instructeurs professionnels concluent ainsi leur saison sur les circuits routiers de la série avec un top 10 chacun.

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve – NASCAR Canadian Tire Series

Montreal, August 20^th, 2011 – Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin completed the NASCAR Canadian Tire race held on Saturday during Montreal’s NAPA 200 weekend in ninth and tenth place respectively. This means the two drivers and professional race instructors both conclude their 2011 season on road courses on a top-10.

Trois neutralisations ont ponctué cette course sur le mythique circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. Le pilote de Roxton Pond Andrew Ranger a mené l’épreuve de bout en bout.

Les deux Trifluviens se sont battus avec les meneurs de la série tout au long des 23 tours de l’épreuve, ayant pris le départ en 7^e et 8^e places.

«J’ai éprouvé des ennuis avec le carburateur, ce qui fait en sorte que les virages lents et les relances étaient plus difficiles», souligne Jean-François Dumoulin, qui était au volant de la voiture n°04 Bellemare/Somavrac.

«J’avais une très bonne voiture. J’ai eu des pépins aux relances lorsque j’étais positionné à l’extérieur dans le virage Senna. On m’a accroché à l’arrière de ma voiture Maskimo/Protection Incendie MCI n°47, ce qui a causé des problèmes d’alignement sur mon bolide», indique Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, qui a signé deux top cinq et deux top 10 en cinq épreuves.

Après avoir participé à cinq courses, l’équipe Dumoulin Compétition conclut ses activités cette saison sur les circuits routiers de la série NASCAR Canadian Tire. Louis-Philippe et Jean-François Dumoulin tiennent à remercier tous les partenaires, collaborateurs, amis et fans pour leur continuel support tout au long de l’été.

Three cautions were waved during this race at the mythic Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. Roxton Pond driver Andrew Ranger led the race from start to finish.

“I had problems with the carburator and that made the slower turns and the restarts very difficult,” explained Jean-François Dumoulin who was driving the No. 04 Bellemare/Somavrac car.

“I had a very good car. I had issues at the restarts when I was positioned at the outside of the Sennas. Someone bumped into my No. 47 Maskimo/Protection Incendie MCI car which caused alignment problems,” explained Louis-Philippe Dumoulin that compiled two top-five and two top-10 in five events in 2011.

After participating in five races, Team Dumoulin Competition concludes its activities of this season on the road courses in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Louis-Philippe and Jean-François Dumoulin want to thank all their partners, collaborators, friends and fans for their constant support throughout the summer.

A Fourth Row All Dumoulin in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series

Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin 7^th and 8^th respectively

Montreal, August 19^th, 2011 – Brothers Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin took the seventh and eighth positions, respectively, on Friday, in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series qualifying ahead of the NAPA 200 in Montreal.

Ayant signé le troisième temps lors des essais libres, jeudi, Jean-François Dumoulin a effectué un temps de 1,47.361 min. L'ainé des frères Dumoulin, qui sera au volant de la voiture Bellemare/Somavrac n°04, s'enthousiasme en vue de l'épreuve.

«Je suis satisfait de cette septième place. J'ai une très bonne voiture pour la course et ça augure bien. C'est bien de partir à l'avant pour éviter les accrochages», affirme-t-il.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin se place huitième, avec un temps de 1,47.412 min. «L'an dernier, j'étais en voie d'obtenir un top cinq avant mon accrochage. Cette année, en ayant une meilleure position de départ, j'espère me battre avec les meneurs rapidement», souligne Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, qui pilotera la voiture Dodge n°47 Maskimo Construction/Protection Incendie MCI.

Le drapeau vert en série NASCAR Canadian Tire sera agité à 9h30, samedi matin, au circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.

Série Nationwide

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin n'a pu participer à la séance de qualifications. Le moteur de la voiture n°52 Hairfax/DaVinci a subi un bris pendant les essais ce matin. Puisque la voiture est déjà qualifiée, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin sera de la course Nationwide, ce samedi. Le départ du NAPA 200 sera donné à 14h30.

Un jeune garçon de la Fondation Rêves d'Enfants a réalisé un rêve aujourd'hui en passant la journée avec l'équipe Dumoulin Compétition. Le jeune Adam, 9 ans, en rémission de la leucémie, a eu la chance de rencontrer les pilotes et admirer les voitures et les mécaniciens à l'œuvre.

L'équipe de course Dumoulin Compétition invite tous ses partenaires, collaborateurs, amis et fans à venir l'encourager, demain, lors de sa dernière course cette saison sur les circuits routiers.

Third in practice on Thursday, Jean-François Dumoulin ran a time of 1:47.361. The oldest of the Dumoulin brothers will be behind the wheel of the No. 04 Bellemare/Somavrac car.

"I'm satisfied with this seventh place. I have a very good car for the race and it's looking good. It's great to start from the front to avoid collisions," said Jean-François Dumoulin.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin qualified in eighth position with a lap of 1:47.412. "Last year, I was in the top-five when a race incident occurred. This year, with a better starting position, I hope to battle with the leaders rapidly", said Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, driver of the No. 47 Dodge Maskimo/Protection Incendie MCI.

The green flag for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series will be waved at 9:30am on Saturday morning, at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.

Nationwide Series

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin was unable to participate to the qualifying session. The engine of the No. 52 Hairfax/DaVinci car blew up during morning practice. Since the car was already qualified, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will be part of the Nationwide race tomorrow. The start of the NAPA 200 will be waved at 2:30pm.

A child from the Make a Wish Foundation realized a dream today by spending the day with the Dumoulin Competition Team. Adam, 9-year-old, in remission of leukemia, had the chance to meet the drivers and admire the cars and engineers at work.

Team Dumoulin Competition invites all partners, collaborators, friends and fans to come and cheer on the Dumoulin brothers tomorrow at their last races this season on a road course.

The Team Launches an Assault on Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve

Trois-Rivieres, August 16^th, 2011 – The Dumoulin brothers Louis-Philippe and Jean-François continue to aim for the podium while they participate in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series’ event at the NAPA 200 in Montreal, this Saturday. The green flag of Autopro 100 will wave at 9:30AM, at the circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Notre-Dame Island.

Les deux pilotes et instructeurs professionnels comptent figurer parmi les meneurs alors qu’un record de 37 pilotes ont confirmé leur présence au grand bal cette fin de semaine.

Fort de deux tops cinq (4^e et 5^e positions) et d’une septième place en quatre courses cette année, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin occupe le deuxième rang au classement des recrues en NASCAR Canadian Tire et pourrait bien prendre les devants à l’issue du week-end tout en ayant disputé trois épreuves de moins. Il a l’intention de fouler le podium pour cette dernière course. «Nous aurions pu terminer parmi les trois premiers l’an dernier : j’étais quatrième lorsque j’ai été victime d’un accrochage. Je vise le podium et c’est donc important de tout faire pour terminer la course. J’adore courir là-bas devant notre public », souligne Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, pilote de la voiture n°47 Maskimo, en partenariat avec Protection Incendie MCI.

Alors qu’il a pris le huitième rang l’an dernier au circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, Jean-François Dumoulin vise lui aussi une place parmi les cinq premiers. «Nous nous améliorons après chaque course. À la suite de quatre épreuves cette année, nous sommes de plus en plus compétitifs. L’acquisition d’un moteur spec pour ma voiture Bellemare/Somavrac n°04 a grandement contribué à l’amélioration des performances. J’aime le circuit Gilles-Villeneuve et j’ai toujours obtenu de bons résultats là-bas. Mon but est de qualifier à l’avant du peloton. Nous visons le top cinq et nous allons travailler très fort pour l’obtenir », ajoute l’aîné des deux frères.

Après avoir participé aux quatre épreuves sur circuits routiers en série NASCAR Canadian Tire cette saison (Mirabel, Mosport, Toronto et Trois-Rivières), Dumoulin Compétition entend terminer en force avec cette participation sur le mythique circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.

L’équipe invite tous les visiteurs du NAPA 200 à venir l’encourager et la suivre tout au long de l’événement, sur place ou via ses pages Facebook et Twitter (DumoulinDC). Une journée portes ouvertes est organisée jeudi (18 août), alors qu’auront lieu les séances d’essais libres (16h40). Les qualifications seront présentées vendredi (14h30).

Both, drivers and professional racing coaches, intend to fight for the top position amongst a record of 37 drivers already registered in this race.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, who placed fourth, fifth and seventh in the four races this year, intends to get onto the podium for this last event. He is currently second in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series’ Rookie Award Standings even though he participated in three races less than the current leader. He could take the lead after this weekend. “Last year, we could have reached the podium, I was fourth when I was victim of a severe collision which took me out of the race. I am aiming for the podium and this is why it is very important to do all that is possible to be safe and finish the race. I love to race for our public,” says Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, driver of the n°47 Maskimo car, in partnership with Protection Incendie MCI.

Jean-François Dumoulin, who placed eight last year at circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, also wants to fight for a chance at the podium against the top runners participating in this event. “ We improve ourselves with each race that goes by. After four events this year, we are more and more competitive and the new spec engine in my n°04 Bellemare/Somavrac car has greatly contributed in the overall performance of my car. I like the circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and I have always gotten good results there. My goal is to qualify with a good starting position. We are aiming for the top five and we will work very hard to reach it,” add the oldest of the Dumoulin brothers.

Dumoulin Competition wants a strong finish at the mythical circuit Gilles-Villeneuve to complete the team’s participation in all the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series’ races on road courses this season (Mirabel, Mosport, Toronto and Trois-Rivières).

The team invites all the NAPA 200’s visitors to cheer it on and follow the team all weekend long, in the paddocks or on its Facebook and Twitter (DumoulinDC) pages. Thursday August 18^th is a free admission day. The practice session is scheduled to take place at 4:40PM, and the qualifying round is scheduled for 2:30PM Friday.

The Dumoulin brothers want to emphasize on the team’s solidarity and especially on all of the support from all the fans in the Mauricie region as well as all of the partners, business men and women of Trois-Rivieres who help make this project possible year after year.

Montréal, August 15, 2011 — Today the promoters of the NAPA Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge released the list of 12 drivers that will take part in the annual “Québec Stars” autograph session on “Discovery Day” at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday August 18, race fans wishing to immerse themselves in the world of NASCAR, the Grand-Am Rolex Series and the Canadian Touring Car Championship will be admitted free of charge to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. THIRD OF FIVE RACES ON ROAD COURSES FOR DUMOULIN COMPETITION

Streets of Toronto "100" – NASCAR Canadian Tire Series

Trois-Rivières, July 6th, 2011 – Drivers and professional race instructors Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin

have high hopes to come back strongly in the streets of Toronto as they compete in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series

this Saturday, July 9th, as part of the celebrations surrounding the Honda Indy in Toronto.

The qualifying sessions will take place on Friday, at 4:10 PM, while the green flag of the Streets of Toronto 100 is

expected at 2:35 PM on Saturday.

Jean-François Dumoulin en sera à sa première participation au Indy en série NASCAR Canadian Tire, au volant de la

Dodge Bellemare nº 04. Le Trifluvien compte de nombreux faits d'armes sur la piste torontoise. En 2000, il est parti

en queue de peloton et a dépassé plus de 50 voitures pour remporter l'épreuve, avec l'équipe New Tech

Motorsport.

« Je suis très enthousiaste pour la course de Toronto. C'est un circuit que j'affectionne beaucoup, même si ça fait

longtemps que je n'ai pas couru là-bas. À Mosport, ça allait très bien. De plus, on a changé le moteur dans ma voiture.

Je pense qu'on sera mieux outillés cette fin de semaine et ça devrait être très intéressant », mentionne Jean-François

Dumoulin.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, quatrième et premier Québécois au Grand Prix ICAR de Mirabel le 5 juin, était en voie

d'obtenir un deuxième top cinq en autant de courses au Vortex Brake Pads 200 à Mosport, alors qu'un accrochage l'a

forcé à l'abandon avec 14 tours à faire. Le cadet des frères Dumoulin est monté sur la plus haute marche du

podium au Indy de Toronto en 2002, année où il a été sacré champion canadien en Formule Ford.

« Je suis très confiant. À Mosport, ma voiture Maskimo/Somavrac n°47 (Dodge) était performante et on aurait pu faire

un top cinq. Cette année, on fait cinq épreuves avec les deux voitures, avec une équipe des plus performante », soutient

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.

Dumoulin Compétition, en partenariat avec le Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, Manac, PubliDesign et Super 8

(Downtown Toronto), participe cette année à toutes les épreuves sur circuits routiers en série NASCAR Canadian Tire.

Les deux frères Dumoulin seront de retour à la maison au Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (5-6-7 août), puis termineront

la saison lors de l'épreuve en marge du NAPA 200 à Montréal (20 août). Depuis 2009, le soutien inconditionnel de

It will be a first participation in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series for Jean-François Dumoulin on board of the No. 04

Dodge Bellemare in Toronto. The Trois-Rivières native has a strong experience on the track however. In 2000, he

came back from the last spot, overtaking more than 50 cars in the process, to win the event with Team New

Tech Motorsports.

"I am very enthusiastic for the race in Toronto. It‟s a track that I enjoy a lot, despite the fact that it has been a while

since I last raced here. In Mosport, everything was going well. Moreover, we changed the engine of my car since then.

I think we will be even stronger this weekend and it should be very interesting", said Jean-François Dumoulin.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, who finished in fourth position – first Quebecker – at Grand Prix ICAR in Mirabel on June

5th, was on his way to a second top-five in a row at the Vortex Brake Pads 200 in Mosport two weeks ago when an

incident forced him to retire with only 14 laps to go in the race. The youngest of the Dumoulin brothers won the

Indy of Toronto in 2002, the year where he won the Canadian Formula Ford Championship's title.

"I am very confident. In Mosport, my No. 47 Maskimo/Somavrac car was extremely competitive and we could have

finished in the top-five had everything gone our way. This year, since we are doing five races with both cars, with a

successful team. We are more and more ready every race that goes by", insisted Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.

Team Dumoulin Competition, in partnership with the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivières, Manac, PubliDesign and Super 8

(Downtown Toronto), participates in every road course event of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in 2011. The

Dumoulin brothers will be back „home‟, in Trois-Rivières, for the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivières on August 5-6-7 and
