Au grand plaisir de la foule, Jacques Villeneuve a tourné un temps de 102.222 sec pour se hisser au haut de la feuille des temps dans cette deuxième séance de pratique. Le contreversé Robby Gordon (102.448 sec), Owen Kelly (102.551 sec), Jason Leffler (102.576 sec), Scott Speed (102.733 sec) ont enregistré les cinq meilleurs temps.

Fans were delighted when Jacques Villeneuve turned a 102.222 secs, the fastest in the session, and took provisional P1 at the conclusion of the second session. Controversial driver Robby Gordon (102.448 sec), Owen Kelly (102.551 sec), Jason Leffler (102.576 sec), Scott Speed (102.733 sec) clocked the top-5 times.

Dufault who had to cut short her session having turned only 8 laps when her Dodge race car developed engine issues. “I don’t know. The car was running good and when I got on it at the long straight it just wouldn’t move. It’s like it didn’t have power to push the car forward.”

Tony Marks Racing Forgoes ARCA Event At Illinois State Fairgrounds

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (August 16, 2011) - - Officials from Tony Marks Racing (TMR) announced today that the team is forgoing its plans to compete in Sunday’s Allen Crowe 100 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds (Springfield) in order to allow its driver Maryeve Dufault to concentrate on her NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) debut this weekend in Montreal.

The decision was a hard one for the Mooresville, North Carolina-based team as the freshman organization has recently surged into the ARCA spotlight with speed and solid finishes from primary driver Maryeve Dufault, part-time development driver Jared Marks and reining ARCA champion Patrick Sheltra. However, logistically the decision to skip the 14^th race of the season offers a sense of relief for all parties involved.

“Of course, this was not an easy decision,” said car owner Tony Marks. “But, we’re looking at the best interest of the team. While we’re not running for points in the ARCA Racing Series right now, skipping Springfield allows Maryeve to fully concentrate on her efforts for her inaugural NASCAR Nationwide Series debut in her home Country.

We’ve spoken with all of our marketing partners and the team in great length about the decision and everyone has stood by it 100 percent. Anything could happen as far as weather, travel delays, etc., so it was just a smart decision for us to do this.”

Currently, the TMR team is strategically working on a plan that will satisfy ARCA Racing Series officials for the team’s No. 12 entry to be used by another competitor in order to keep the team’s current owner points active and in a competitive position.

Marks concluded by saying, “On behalf of the entire TMR team and our marketing partners, we are wishing Maryeve the best this weekend at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. She is grabbing a lot of attention for all the right reasons, so we will all be glued to the race and cheering her on in the Napa Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge!”

Dufault will drive for MacDonald Motorsports, a longtime competitor in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) and NASCAR Nationwide Series. The team’s current position in the NNS car owner standings will guarantee her a starting berth in the No. 81 Quebec Dodge Dealers Dodge Challenger R/T on Saturday afternoon.

TMR is expected to return to the ARCA Racing Series scene in the 15^th race of the season for the inaugural running of the Herr’s Live Life With Flavor 200 at Madison International Speedway on Friday, August 26.

The Allen Crowe 100 (100 laps / 100 miles) is the 14^th of 19 events on the 2011 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule. The 29^th ARCA event held at the Illinois State Fairgrounds is a one-day show. Practice begins Sunday, August 21 with a one hour practice session planned from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Menards Pole by Ansell qualifying is slated to begin at 11:00 a.m. The field will take the green flag Sunday afternoon shortly after 1:00 p.m. The event will not be televised but race coverage including live timing and scoring throughout the 1,326^th race for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards since it was formed in 1953 will be available through the ARCA Racing Network (ARN) online at arcaracing.com presented by ARCANation.com. Montréal, August 15, 2011 — Today the promoters of the NAPA Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge released the list of 12 drivers that will take part in the annual “Québec Stars” autograph session on “Discovery Day” at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Maryeve Dufault; Tony Marks Racing Solid In Pocono Debut

LONG POND, Pennsylvania (June 13, 2011) - - ARCA Racing Series Rookie of the Year candidate Maryeve Dufault had an impressive showing in her Pocono (Pa.) Raceway debut continuing her Tony Marks Racing (TMR) team’s run of consistent finishes in the Pocono ARCA 200.

Never have seeing the defying 2.5-mile triangle before practice on Friday morning, fellow Dodge teammate and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Kurt Busch offered the Sorel, Quebec native a private tour around the “Tricky Triangle.” Undoubtedly, the advice paid off.

In practice, Dufault in her No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger mounted the 17^th fastest practice lap. Throughout practice, she showed massive improvement which climbed the freshman team through the running order.

The TMR team led by Darren Wolfe and Ryan Chism elected to make minor changes to her No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger hoping to give her a little more speed in Menards Pole by Ansell qualifying. In time trials, Dufault found more speed and negotiated a 15^th place qualifying position, a career best in seven races.

The strategy for Dufault and her TMR team was to learn and finish the race.

Through the race’s first 15 circuits, the No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger maintained a spot in the top-15. With the leaders on a torrid pace, Dufault would lose a lap under green but would fight off her other challengers for the Aaron’s Lucky Dog. The caution flag waived on lap 17, with Dufault rightfully earning her lap back.

A solid pit stop by the TMR team would return the former NASCAR Canadian Tire Series competitor into the top-15. With light rain falling and fog present though, the caution period extended over the next 12 laps, and initially, ARCA officials decided to drop the green flag on lap 32. After restarts to begin laps 32 and 33 were aborted, officials instructed drivers to drive down pit road to close lap 35 where the red flag would be issued as everyone waited for the fog to lift.

A short time later, the cars would be re-fired and moved from pit road. The green flag would fly on lap 38 with Dufault on the move. Making work of her challengers, Dufault would move into the 13^th position when the caution flag would waive on lap 50. The team followed the leaders and made the trip to pit road for four tires and fuel. Dufault called for no adjustments as she was very comfortable with her race car.

Restarting the event on lap 57 in the 12^th position, Dufault would get yet another lap under her belts before a caution flag waived two laps later for again dense fog around the facility. Red flag conditions would again adorn the field but ultimately the fog would force ARCA officials to consider the race complete on lap 59 with Dufault scored in the 12^th position.

“It was a very good day for Tony Marks Racing, VR-12 and Dodge,” said Dufault, who notched her fourth top-15 finish in seven races. “I learned a lot this weekend that will help us when we come back in August. Tony (Marks, owner) did a great job spotting and the team was strong in the pits. I’m happy with a 12^th in my first Pocono start. Hopefully we can keep these solid finishes going.”

As for Marks, who played a double-duty role at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, he was exceptionally pleased with the outcome. “It was nice to see the progress of Maryeve from start to finish this weekend,” he said. “Darren, Ryan and the whole TMR team did a great job giving her a competitive car that she was able to maneuver through a very difficult track in some uncharacteristic conditions.”

With her finish on Saturday, Dufault remains 10^th in the ARCA Racing Series championship standings after seven races.

Next up for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards is round eight of nine on the 2011 schedule. The RainEater Wiper Blades 200 from the two-mile oval of Michigan International Speedway is set for Friday, June 17^th at 5:00 p.m. Eastern live on SPEED. Dufault will make her inaugural debut at the track nestled in the “Irish Hills.”

TMR PR: Maryeve Dufault Overcomes Obstacles to Receive a "Golden" Finish at Talladega Superspeedway

TALLADEGA, Alabama (April 18, 2011) - - It’s known that when the age you are turning and the day you were born are the same, that it’s your “golden birthday.” Same can be said for racing when your car number matches the place you finish, then it’s known as your “golden finish,” and so it was for Maryeve Dufault and the No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports / Victory h2o Dodge Charger, this past Saturday morning for the postponed 3 Amigos 250 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

Although what started out to be a great weekend for Tony Marks Racing’s No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports / Victory h2o Dodge Charger race team by qualifying third on the starting grid, turned out to be quite challenging. After failing post-qualifying inspections due to a part malfunction, Dufault and the No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports / Victory h2o Dodge Charger were moved to the end of the field to start in the 39^th position. Immense storms and tornadoes swept thru the central Alabama area on Friday afternoon, causing the race event to be pushed back to Saturday at 8:00 a.m.

Even though all the challenges of mother nature and machine seemed to be coming against the Tony Marks Racing team, Dufault and the No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports / Victory h2o Dodge Charger took the checkered flag with a 12^th place finish.

Immediately beginning the 94 lap event, Dufault powered her way up thru the field gaining 14 positions right out of the shoot. She held onto that spot for the first few laps until the first caution flag of the day flew at lap 15. After pitting for fuel and two right side tires, Dufault went a bit above the yellow line coming out of pit road, so ARCA officials waived her to the end of the lead lap putting her back in the 24^th position, but that was no challenge for her.

Dufault and the No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports / Victory h2o Dodge Charger found some friends on the track and gained ground in the draft to push their way up to ninth position. With a couple more cautions coming out and so much movement on the track, Dufault ended up scoring her career best finish in only her second career ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards start.

“After all the emotions that we went thru this weekend, I think we had a really good finish for the No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports / Victory h2o Dodge Charger team,” said Dufault. “I learned a lot out there today; it’s very different from Daytona. There were some people out there that try to mess your driving up so you just really had to be careful.”

For car owner Tony Marks, he was ecstatic with his driver’s performance and ability to maneuver in such a tight and intense race. “Maryeve despite her setbacks overcame the odds and did a great job for TMR and all of our sponsors,” he said. “We were in the lead draft and just missed a top-10 finish. I’m super proud of her “never give up attitude” and ability to master the draft so brilliantly in only her second career start.

Next up for TMR and Dufault will be their first tango with Salem (Ind.) Speedway for the running of the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200. The Sorel, Quebec Canada native will make her ARCA short track debut in the third race of the 2011 season. The field will take the green flag on Sunday, May 1 shortly after 2:00 p.m.

Superspeedway Thursday afternoon lining up her No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports / Victory Water Dodge Charger on the inside of row number two for tomorrow’s 3 Amigos 250.

Dufault, the Sorel, Quebec native has been very impressive in her Talladega debut. Her rookie Tony Marks Racing (TMR) team showed early signs of strength in pre-race testing last month before rocketing herself to third on the practice charts earlier today.

For a while, Dufault’s lap of 52.204 seconds at 183.434 miles per hour set the rookie on the outside of row number one before youngest Kyle Fowler knocked the Redondo Beach, California native down to third overall.

In her first career ARCA Racing Series start at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in February, Dufault qualified 24^th.

“Wow, this is great,” Dufault said with a huge smile. “I cannot thank VR-12, Dodge, Victory Water, Tony Marks and Tony Marks Racing for this great opportunity and with a really fast race car. I know we were going for the pole, but I’ll take third and we’ll look forward to tomorrow’s race.”

With her superb qualifying effort, Dufault picked up five crucial championship points towards the coveted ARCA Racing Series championship title which resumes tomorrow after nearly a two month sabbatical.

“Points are good,” she added. “Our goal for tomorrow is to stay up front and not make any mistakes. I’ll have Mike (Calinoff) up spotting for me tomorrow and with his experience, I know I’ll have a shot to be in contention for a good finish if not a win for our sponsors and everyone at Tony Marks Racing.”

Tony Marks, a successful entrepreneur from Ohio has been very pleased with the development and progression of his young race team and was rightfully thrilled with today’s results. “Maryeve and the entire TMR team did a fabulous job,” he said. “We came here and showed the field that we have a great race car and I feel that Maryeve can take VR-12, Dodge, Victory Water and all who support us to victory lane. It’s been a great day so far, hopefully it will keep going into tomorrow!”

A short happy hour final practice session has been etched in for competitors tomorrow but the TMR has not fully decided if they will participate in the run.

The 3 Amigos 250 (94 laps / 250 miles) is the second of 19 events on the 2011 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule. The 49^th ever ARCA race at Talladega Superspeedway is a two-day show. Menards pole qualifying presented by Ansell is set for later today slated to begin at 5:05 p.m. Coverage of time trials is available online through the ARCA Racing Network (ARN) online at arcaracing.com in collaboration with Alabama’s local WTDR Thunder 92.7 FM. A 45-minute final practice has been etched in on Friday, April 15 from 10:00 a.m. – 10:55 a.m. The event will take the green flag that afternoon shortly after 4:00 p.m. The race will be televised live on SPEED with additional live broadcasting available through the ARCA Racing Network (ARN) online at arcaracing.com in collaboration with Alabama’s local WTDR Thunder 92.7 FM. TMR PR: Maryeve Dufault Solid In 'Dega Practice; Third Fastest Overall

“No. 12 VR 12 / Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger Quickest Charger At Talladega”

TALLADEGA, Ala. (April 14, 2011) - - Maryeve Dufault driver of the No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger posted an impressive third fastest time overall during the ARCA Racing Series three hour practice session leading up to tomorrow’s 3 Amigos 250 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

Dufault, the ARCA Racing Series Rookie of the Year candidate for Tony Marks Racing (TMR) led the session early at the 2.66-mile superspeedway before eventually falling to the third fastest time overall. She turned 23 laps overall with her fastest lap being a 51.969 seconds or 184.264 miles per hour.

“I’m real excited,” said Dufault, who will make her second career ARCA Racing Series start Friday afternoon. “The entire Tony Marks Racing team have given me a great VR 12 / Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger for Talladega. I’m anxious for qualifying later today and hopefully we can have a good race tomorrow and learn a lot.”

She added, “even though this is my first trip to Talladega, I really enjoy the track. VR-12, Dodge and all of our other sponsors deserve some time to be in the spotlight, so hopefully our strong start will continue.”

With qualifying set for later today, Dufault remained optimistic about a pole-contending run but felt their VR 12 / Dodge Motorsports hot rod would be starting near the front. “I’d like to hope that we have a shot at the pole, but I would be happy if we end up somewhere in the top-five. We just have to remain focused the rest of the day and hope for the best.”

MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (March 25, 2011) - - Maryeve (pronounced Mary-EV) Dufault (pronounced DU-FAU), the 2011 ARCA Racing Series (ARS) presented by Menards Rookie of the Year candidate is emerging from nearly a six week break ready to test next week at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in preparation for round two of the season.

Dufault, driver of the No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger will tackle the smooth 2.66-mile superspeedway for the first time on Tuesday and Wednesday but the Sorel, Quebec Canada native is looking for the same consistency she showed during pre-season testing at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

"I'm looking forward to getting back in the No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger," said Dufault, a resident of Redondo Beach, California. "The break was a nice refresher after Daytona but I'm anxious to get back behind the wheel and continue our season for Tony Marks Racing."

Dufault who entered ARCA after stint in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 and a successful and impressive career in Formula cars is looking to finish what she started at Daytona in the Talladega ARCA 250 on April 15^th.

After qualifying 24^th, Dufault kept her No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger in the lead draft and was on-track for a satisfying finish before becoming an innocent victim the "big one" just 16 laps from the finish.

"I learned a lot at Daytona," she said. "I learned a lot about the car, the draft, my competitors and even the track. We had a good car and we almost escaped the "big one" unharmed but to no avail. The Tony Marks Racing team has been thrashing hard on our superspeedway car since the race and we're looking forward to turning some respectable times during the two-day test."

Never having the opportunity to experience the enormous Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway Dufault enters Alabama optimistic while hoping to lean on some of her veteran competitors for some tips.

"Most of the tracks on the schedule are going to be green to me," Dufault explained. "Thankfully, I have a great team behind me who are giving me fast race cars. I'm also reaching out to some of my competitors for advice. I've been very appreciative so far of their willingness to guide me and give some tips. Hopefully, Talladega will bring more of the same."

The first full season of ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards competition for Tony Marks Racing (TMR) continues next Tuesday and Wednesday where the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will host an open-test at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in preparation for the ARCA Racing Series 250 on Friday, April 15.
