Faisant suite aux malencontreux incidents survenus à la ligne d’arrivée à l’issue du LKQ Pintendre 150 qui a été disputé, samedi après-midi à l’Autodrome Chaudière, l’équipe Laperle a été pénalisée pour les agissements de l’un de ses membres.

Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today that the Patrick Laperle team has received a fine for a post-race incident in victory lane following the 150-lap event held at the Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee Jonction, QC this past Saturday, June 12.

Cette mesure disciplinaire est le résultat d’une bataille plus qu’agressive entre Donald Theetge de Québec, le champion en titre, et Patrick Laperle, tout au long de cette troisième manche de cette série ACT-Castrol Edge.

Finalement, en raison de cette lutte acharnée, le Félicinois Karl Allard a su tirer avantage de la situation pour remporter son premier succès dans cette série ACT-Castrol Edge. Ce dernier est passé à l’intérieur des deux belligérants qui se touchaient à qui mieux mieux.

Par la suite, une confrontation verbale est survenue lorsque Laperle est sorti de sa voiture et s’approchait de celle de Theetge. Là un incident est survenu entre un membre de l’équipe Laperle et Theetge alors que ce dernier se dirigeait vers le podium. Selon les procédures de mesures disciplinaires de l’ACT, le pilote est responsable de son équipe. Celle-ci devra verser une amende de 500 $.

En raison de l’inconduite de ces deux équipes dans le cercle des vainqueurs, celles-ci ont été mises sous probation pour le reste de la saison 2010. Elles ont été informées qu’un écart de conduite lors des prochaines épreuves serait sanctionné par une suspension accompagnée de d’autres pénalités.

Laperle demeure donc au premier rang de cette série ACT-Castrol Edge qui se poursuivra, samedi, au circuit Ste-Croix/Riverside Speedway. Un tracé ultra rapide de 5/8^e de mille qui a subi des transformations majeures.

The disciplinary penalty resulted after Laperle, from Montreal, and Donald Theetge, from Quebec City, staged a furious battle for the win in the event which was postponed from the previous night due to an electrical black out. This necessitated running the race on Saturday at noon.

As a result of the constant battle between Theetge and Laperle during the final laps of the event, Karl Allard from Ste. Felicien, QC was able to take advantage of the intense battle. Allard made a three-wide pass underneath the pair as they banged and beat each other down the narrow front stretch at the ¼ mile bullring. Allard went on to win, with Theetge finishing in second. Laperle finished third.

After a verbal confrontation when Laperle exited his car and approached Theetge, an incident occurred between one of the Laperle crew members and Theetge, as Theetge was heading to the podium. Under the ACT disciplinary rules and procedures the driver is responsible for his crew. The Laperle team has been assessed a fine of $500.00.

Because of the behavior of both crews in victory lane, the Laperle and Theetge teams have both been placed on probation for the remainder of the 2010 season. They have been informed that any disciplinary issues during the remainder of the race season will result in immediate suspension and other penalties.

Laperle retains a strong point lead on the ACT Serie Castrol EDGE heading to the new Riverside Speedway at Ste. Croix, QC this Saturday night. The very fast and newly paved 5/8th mile facility has undergone a major renovation this Spring. Post time is 5:00pm.

Tisseur hangs on for Airborne win

For immediate release

South Plattsburgh – Richard Tisseur of Chateauguay, Quebec kept Patrick Dupree at bay - after a caution with seven laps remaining erased his eight car-length lead - and he went on to record his first DIRTcar Modified win on Green Lee Tools/AFLAC Night Saturday at Airborne Speedway.

After 16 green flag laps began the 30-lap feature, Tisseur took the lead from Vince Quenneville as Andy Heywood, Mike Reyell and Dupree ran 3-4-5. Dupree, seeking his third consecutive win, moved into third on lap 18 and sped around Quenneville for second on lap 20.

Tisseur’s winning margin was 15 feet. Heywood finished third well ahead of Quenneville in fourth with Reyell fifth. “I didn’t mind that Patrick was coming after me,” Tisseur said. “That’s the fun of racing.”

Positions 6-10 went to Todd Ormsby, Chad Blair, Leon Gonyo, Mike Wells and Bryant Trim. Craig Reyell had his best run of the season go for naught when he failed to come up to speed for the lap 17 restart while running fourth.

Bucko Branham worked underneath Jamy Begor with seven laps left and raced off to his second straight J&S Steel Sportsman win. Shawn Duquette caught Begor for second on the white flag lap. Jim Bushey finished fourth. Tylor Terry completed the top five.

Lonnie Rivers of Cadyville won the Versatile Trailer Sales Renegade feature. Rivers passed runner-up Robert Gordon on lap 13 of the 25-lap event. Lance Rabtoy of Fairfax, VT placed third.

Josh Durivage, Curtis LaGrave and Scott Richner finished 1-2-3 in the Monster Energy Bomber feature. Rick Doner of Ausable Forks carried the NAPA Mini-Modified checkers.

The Versatile Trailer Sales Renegades will go 50 green flag laps in the main event this Saturday, June 19. Post time is 6 p.m.

NCTS - Dilley Motorsports PR - Dilley Ninth on Road Course at Mosport

Bowmanville, ON, Sunday June 13, 2010: Mark Dilley driver of the No. 9 PartSource/Mobil 1 Dodge Avenger started the weekend with a sixth place qualifying effort and crossed the finish line in ninth place in Sunday’s Vortex Brake Pads 200.

Rain washed out the second group qualifying on Saturday afternoon so Dilley was on track early on Sunday to run his qualifying session. The No 9 PartSource driver went on to post the quickest lap times he’s ever had at the Mosport road course, qualifying in sixth place.

A full course caution occurred on lap 17, which allowed Dilley to make a pit stop for fuel. The No.9 also took two tires and restarted in 13th. There were no more caution flags so the rest of the 51 lap race was run under green and Dilley was able to work his way up the field and finish the Vortex Brake Pads 200 in ninth place.

After the race Dilley commented, “The car was great at the beginning of the race, but we didn’t have any tires left and couldn’t gain any more track position towards the end.”

Overall Dilley was satisfied with his performance at Mosport International raceway, “We’ll take a top ten finish on a road course, it will keep us where we are in the points.”

Dilley is currently sixth in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Points after two events. The next event for the No. 9 PartSource team will be at Autodome St. Eustache on Saturday July 3^rd.

The Vortex Brake Pads 200 will be broadcast on TSN on Sunday June 20^th at noon.

NCTS Steckly PR - Solid Fourth for Steckly at Mosport

Bowmanville, ON, Sunday June 13, 2010: Scott Steckly driver of the No. 22 Racing/Canadian Tire Dodge had a solid practice and qualified the car in fifth place for Sunday’s Vortex Brake Pads 200. Steckly had an even better finish and brought the car across the finish line in the forth position.

After rain washed out the second group qualifying on Saturday afternoon Steckly, who posted the quickest time in practice on Saturday, went out on Sunday morning and qualified the No. 22 Canadian Tire Dodge in fifth place.

Steckly pitted the 22 Racing Dodge early, taking fuel only on lap 15. A full course caution on lap 17 had him returning to pit road for another pit stop, this time Steckly took 4 tires and restarted in tenth.

The rest of the 51 lap race was under green flag conditions. Steckly had a great car and with fresh tires was able to work his way up through the pack to finish just off the podium with a fourth place finish.

After the race Steckly commented, “I was very happy with the car, but would have liked to have finished on the podium.” Steckly was driving a brand new car and indicated that “Mosport was a great learning experience and now we have some direction and are looking forward to the Toronto Indy.”

Steckly is currently fifth in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series points heading to event #3 at Autodrome St. Eustache just outside of Montreal on Saturday July 3^rd.

NCTS Simone Motorsport PR - Simone's Day Ends Early at Mosport

Bowmanville, ON, Sunday June 13, 2010: Anthony Simone, driver of the No. 95 Gaphix Factory/Castrol/Bell Chevrolet had problems early in practice but walked away with an eighth place qualifying position, however, the day ended early for Simone when the No. 95 blew a drive train early in the race.

Simone had a tough start to the second event of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series when he blew a motor early in the first practice. The team worked really hard and were able to fix the car in time for qualifying where Simone posted a time that would start him in eighth place.

After qualifying Simone was optimistic, “The car is fast” said Simone who was only able to get in four laps during practice, “so we’re looking forward to the race and confident we will be able to get the No. 95 to the front.”

However, the Vortex Brake Pads 200 didn’t get much better for the No. 95 team as they had vibrations early and broke something in the drive train on the ninth lap, which took out a bunch of oil lines and ultimately put an early end to the day. Simone finished in 25^th place.

Pro All Stars Series news - PASS North Speedway 660 race report

Johnny Clark PASS North winner at Speedway 660

Naples ME (6/14) Johnny Clark to advantage of a lap 61 restart to power past Cassius Clark for the lead in Saturday night’s Pro All Stars Series 200 and the defending series champ stayed there all the way to the checkers to score his second win of the young season.

Cassius Clark led a big chunk of the race from the pole but had to settle for second, his best result of 2010. Saint John New Brunswick’s Lonnie Sommerville was the top Canadian with a strong run to third. Scott Chubbuck and defending race winner Ben Rowe came home fourth and fifth

2009 PASS North Rookie of the Year Nick Ribbe ran as high as second before another racer’s oil sent him spinning and out of contention. Ribbe finished 198 of the 200 laps in 14^th. Trevor Sanborn has joined Richard Moody Racing to take a shot at the PASS North championship and ran up front early, only to succumb to problems that left him in 21st at the finish.

Nine drivers finished on the lead lap. Six cautions slowed the first 100 laps, but the second 100 stayed green to the checkers.

Sunday June 20 PASS North gets back on track for the Fathers Day 150 at Unity (ME) Raceway. All three PASS North touring series will be in action. Practice gets underway at 11:30 AM; heat races are set for 3:00 PM.

Martin Hébert mérite le titre de M. Sportsman

Résultats du 2010-06-11.

SPORTSMAN - 24 voitures étaient présentes dans les puits pour cette soirée spéciale. Les qualifications ont été remportées par Keven Beaucage (# 45), Yvan Rivard (# 44) et Pascal Romanesky (14R).

Lors de la première finale de 25 tours, on peut voir que les pilotes sont très agressifs. Plusieurs voitures doivent regagner les puits. Martin Hébert (# 43) remporte sa 2^e victoire consécutive devant Steve Nadeau (# 94) et Keven Beaucage.

La soirée n’est pas terminée pour eux, plusieurs équipes s’entraident pendant l’intermission afin de mettre les bolides en place pour la 2^e finale de 25 tours. C’est le cas pour Pascal Romanesky qui a changé son moteur dans un temps record.

La 2^e épreuve a été remportée par Guy Ouellette (# 07), il était suivi par Martin Hébert et Patrick Picotin (# 48) au fil d’arrivée. Pour déterminer le gagnant de la soirée, l’équipe d’officiel a compilé les points accordés lors des 2 épreuves.

Le champion de la soirée est Martin Hébert, sur la 2^e marche du podium on pouvait voir Steve Bernier (# 25), la troisième marche du podium était occupée par Alain Mathieu (# 77).

MODIFIÉ - 29 voitures étaient au rendez-vous pour cette finale de 35 tours. En tout début d’épreuve Mario Moreau (# 5) perd le contrôle de son bolide dans la courbe # 3, Clément Therrien (# 39) ne peut l’éviter et il percute violemment la voiture de Moreau. Mario Clair (# 22) est aussi impliqué dans ce carambolage, la soirée est terminée pour les trois pilotes.

Au 5^e passage le drapeau jaune est déployé à nouveau, Gino Clair (# 22J), Eric Lefebvre (# 88), Yannick Ledoux (# 12) et Alex Fortier (# 2X) en profitent pour faire un arrêt au puit de ravitaillement.

À la relance, Alain Boisvert (# 73) qui était parti de la 9^e position en profite pour prendre la position de commande, Jasmin Léveillée doit se contenter de la 2^e .Boisvert, le champion 2006 et 2007 roule à fond de train vers son premier drapeau à damier de la saison. Il est suivi au fil d’arrivée par Kayle Robidoux (champion 2008) et Martin Roy (# 90).

Plusieurs pilotes ont fait des remontées spectaculaires. François Bernier (# 49) a pris le départ en 10^e position, au 11^e tour, il roule en 2^e position, il accroche le muret à l’intérieur de la courbe # 3. Il réussit à maintenir le rythme malgré une crevaison, au 26^e passage, il repart de l’arrière du peloton pour terminer en 10^e position.

Alex Boisvert (# 95) avait pris le départ en 25^e position, il a terminé 5^e. La plus belle remontée fut celle de Frédéric Gamache (# 74), parti de la 27^e position, il a terminé 6^e.

Miles Chipman Wins NH Gov. Cup 150 at Lee USA

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ACT-061110

Lee, NH – Lee USA Speedway regular Miles Chipman earned his first career ACT Late Model Tour win in the NH Governor’s Cup 150 on his hometrack on Friday, June 11. Chipman battled with fellow Lee competitor Wayne Helliwell for the majority of the event before taking over for good on lap 105.

The race was completed in 56 minutes and 41 seconds with just two caution periods. Forty cars attempted to qualify for the event which was previously scheduled to be the season opener back in April before being postponed due to rain.

Chipman is now the fifth driver to earn an invitation to the second running of the ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 18. Other invitations belong to Nick Sweet, Eddie MacDonald, Patrick Laperle and Dave Pembroke.

The ACT Late Model Tour is back in action next Saturday, June 19 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, ME.

AUTODROME CHAUDIERE PR - VICTOIRE POUR ALLARD, POULIN, LECOURS ET GAGNÉ

LMS ACT CASTROL :

Quelle victoire de Karl Allard. Lors d'une relance avec dix tours à faire, Allard dépasse Theetge et Laperle par l'intérieur à la sortie de la deux pour ensuite filler vers la victoire. Belle course dans l'ensemble et tout un duel de contact entre Laperle et Theetge, autant durant qu'après la course. Theetge termine deuxième suivi de Laperle. Ouellet et Déry suivent pour le «TOP FIVE».

Suite aux incidents entre Laperle et Theetge, M. Curley rendra son verdict lundi sur leur indiscipline.

Triple Couronne Sport Compacte BESTBUY :

Une course à l'emporte pièce remporté par Philippe Poulin de St-Georges au volant de sa Honda # 33. Il a pris la pôle au 30^ième passage et son plus proche adversaire, Dominic Jacques, n'a jamais réussi à le dépasser. Jacques, de Vallée-Jonction termine donc deuxième, suivi de Marc-André Demers, de Le Gardeur. Robin Harrisson et Jimmy Roy complètent le «TOP FIVE». Bravo à tous les pilotes Sport Compacte, 33 voitures dont 14 de St-Eustache. Cent tours disputés en 44 minutes avec seulement trois jaunes.

Limité COOLFM 103.5 :

Stéphane Lecours de Lac Etchemin continue sa domination et part avec les honneurs de la finale, devant Johnny Gagné de St-Georges et Dave Caron de l'Islet sur Mer. Une course enlevant où Lecours, parti 10^ième a dû manœuvrer dans le trafic pour savourer sa victoire. En demi-finale, Lecours, Julien Bernier et Yves Marcoux se sont succédés au fil d'arrivée.

Compact Amateur

En classe Compact/Amateur Jimmy Gagné de St-Georges remporte la victoire devant Maxime Latendresse de Montréal et Johny Vachon de St-Joseph. En demi-finale la victoire va à Olivier Pelletier-Labbé de Lévis.

Karl Allard à mis fin à la série de podiums consécutifs par par Patrick Laperle à deux. Toute fois les cérémonies de fin de course ont été perturbées par des échanges entre Donald Theetge et des équipiers de Patrick Laperle qui ont respectivement terminer 2^e et 3e.

Karl Allard put an end to Patrick Laperle’s consecutive win streak at two. Nevertheless post race celebrations were perturbed by shoving between Donald Theetge and Patrick Laperle crew members who respectively finished 2^nd and 3^rd.

De part et autres, ils s’accusent d’avoir mal menés sont rival lors des ralentissements et des relances, plus particulièrement à la dernière relance, avec 19 tours à faire.

« J’ai pris la tête au 59e passage, après avoir dépassé 19 voitures devant moi [NDLR : Laperle a prit le départ en 20^e place, tandis que Theetge s’est élancé de la 12e position] sans même en avoir bousculer une voiture. Quand à Theetge, il a frappé presque chacune des voitures qui ont pris le départ. Je l’ai vu bousculé Déry, Allard et PL Ouellet entre autre. Il ma bousculer à 3 reprises, tellement fort que ma voiture est partie en glissade, frisant la catastrophe à chaque fois. Il a reçu à deux reprises le Piggy-flag et s’est vu pointé le noir deux fois. Le signaleur est même allé lui parlé sur la piste. Avant l’incident avec, j’avais même pas un donut sur le côté de ma voiture. À la dernière relance, il ma tellement bûché dans les roues que cela a endommagé ma roue. J’ai donc fini avec une crevaison lente et cela ma privé d’une 3e victoire consécutive » dénonça Laperle une fois retourné dans les puits.

Mutually accusing each other of having raced each other dirty during cautions and on restarts, more specifically on the last one with 19 laps to go.

“I took the lead on the 59^thcircuit, after having passed 19 cars who started in front of me [NDLR: Laperle started 20^th, while Theetge took the green flag from 12^th position] without touching a single car. I saw Theetge bump Dery, Allard, PL Ouellet. He bumped Déry, Allard and PL Ouellet amongst others. He bumped me hard on 3 occasions, sending me in a slide and almost spinning me around in front of the field. He got the piggy-flag twice, was pointed with the black flag twice. The flagman even went down on the track to speak with him. Until the incident I didn’t even have a donut on the side of my car. Quand Theetge et Laperle se sont bousculés Karl Allard en a profité pour se glisser en tête. Parti de la 16e position, il a même dû visiter les puits en début de l’épreuve pour effectuer quelques réparations mineurs à l’avant de sont bolide, des dommages subit bien malgré lui quand il n’a pu s’immobiliser sans toucher aux deux voitures qui étaient en dérapage en début d’épreuve.

Allard n’a pas volé la victoire. Il a été patient, a remonté le peloton et avait une bonne voiture en fin de course.

When Theetge and Laperle went at it, Karl Allard took advantage of it and took over the lead. He started in the 16^th starting position and had to visit the pits early on when he had to retreat to get repairs done to the front of his race car. He sustained the damage when he could not stop fast enough when two cars got together in an early race incident.

Allard did not steal the race. He was patient, passed every one of the cars and was very fast at the end.

Cette victoire met fin à une disette remontant à l’été 2008, alors qu’il avait triomphé sur ce même tracé, qu’est celui de l’autodrome Chaudière. Allard devient ainsi le 6^e pilote qualifié, il se joint à Laperle, pour l’épreuve invitation qui sera disputée à Loudon en septembre.

« Nous avions une bonne voiture. J’ai pris mon temps et conservé les pneus. Nu été de l’incident ou j’ai frappé les voitures stationnées la voiture n’aurait pas une scratch » commenta Allard.

This win is the first in two years for Allard who had last won at Autodrome Chaudiere. Allard becomes the 6^th qualified driver, and joins Laperle, for the Invitational race to be held at Loudon in September.

“We had a great car. We took our time, managed our tires. If it wasn’t for when I hit the parked cars the cars wouldn’t have scratch” commented a very happy Allard.

Belle performance de Pier-Luc Ouellet pilotant le voiture d’écurie de Paul Michaud, qui a signé un premier top 4 en carrière LMS et c’est même permit de mener 22 passages ( 39 à 57 tours ).

Terminant en 5^e position, Jean-François Déry semblait parti pour terminer 4^e, mais avec quelques tours à faire et la circulation lente, il a vu Ouellet avoir le dessus sur lui.

Finishing 5th is Jean-François Dery who seemed to be en route to finish 4^th, but late in the race and in traffic Ouellet got around him.

Dans le dernier tour, la jeune recrue Alex Labbé et Daniel Decoste se sont touchés, un bête incident de course selon les deux pilotes, qui à privé Labbé d’une 6e place au classement, il terminera l’épreuve avec un tour de retard. « Daniel est venu me voir après, il s’est excusé. Il a fermé sur moi m’envoyant en tête-à-queue » déclara le jeune Labbé. La course a terminé avec le Jaune-et-damiers.

L’autre recrue Jimmy Cormier a mené ses premier tour de piste en finale, menant 13 passages, avant de se faire bousculer à son tours par le vétéran Yvon Bédard.

L’épreuve final de 150 tours qui devait être disputée samedi dernier le 5 juin, avait été reportée une première fois dû aux caprices de Dame-Nature et une deuxième fois hier, vendredi, alors qu’un transformateur électrique d’Hydro-Québec, alimentant les lumières de la piste a explosé.

Les préliminaires disputés hier, ont été remportées par la recrue Marco Savoie, Patrick Hamel, Daniel Decoste. La consolation a été remportée tant qu’à elle par Etienne Lemay.

L’incident Theetge-Laperle aura des conséquences sur le classement de l’épreuve selon Tina Gallison : « Seul Karl Allard est confirmé gagnant à la suite des inspections. Le classement sera disponible lundi à la suite de l’attribution de pénalités ».

La prochaine manche de la Série ACT Castrol Edge sera disputé samedi prochain au Circuit Riverside/Ste-Croix.

In the last lap, 16 year old rookie Alex Labbé and Daniel Decoste touched in turn four, a racing incident according to both drivers, sending Labbé in a spin and preventing him from finishing sixth and on the lead lap. “Daniel came to see me after the race, he was sorry. He pinched me down and sent me into a spin” said the Labbé. The race ended with Yellow-and-checkers.

The other rookie, Jimmy Cormier, also lead his first laps, 13 of them, before being knocked out of the lead by veteran driver Yvon Bedard.

The 150 lap event was first scheduled to be ran on June 5^th, but was postponed due to rain and was once again postponed, yesterday, because of a power outage when the electric transformer providing power to track lights blew up.

Qualifying races were won by Marco Savoie, Patrick Hamel, Daniel Decoste. The consi was won by Etienne Lemay.

The Theetge-Laperle incident will have consequences on the race’s finish as per Tina Gallison: “Only Allard is official. Other positions are pending penalties and will be posted on Monday”.

The next race on the ACT Castrol Edge race will be ran next Saturday at Circuit Riverside/Ste-Croix.

LKQ Pintendre Autos 150 à l'Autodrome Chaudière

KARL ALLARD MET FIN À UNE DISETTE DE PRÈS DE DEUX ANS

En remportant les honneurs du LKQ Pintendre Autos 150, cet après-midi à l'Autodrome Chaudière de Vallée-Jonction, le Félicinois Karl Allard, au volant de la Ford Fusion Larue Équipements de Déneigement, a mis fin à une disette de près de deux ans dans cette série ACT-Castrol Edge.

En effet, en ayant le meilleur devant Donald Theetge et Patrick Laperle, lors de cette deuxième reprise de cette troisième manche, Allard qui avait réussi deux podiums jusqu'à maintenant, s'est approché un peu plus de Laperle. Il joindra donc ce dernier en août prochain à l'occasion des essais pour la course INVITATION de Loudon au New Hampshire.

C'est lors de la dernière relance au 131^e passage qu'Allard s'est accaparé le poste de commande en dépassant Theetge et Laperle à la sortie du deuxième virage pour filer vers la victoire. Il avait pris le départ de la 16^e place. Cette épreuve qui été ponctuée de neuf ralentissements, a connu six meneurs différents, soit Kevin Roberge (1 @ 8), Yvon Bédard (9 @ 14), Jimmy Cormier (15 @ 38), Pier-Luc Ouellet (39 @ 57), Patrick Laperle (58 @ 131) et Karl Allard (132 @ 150).

Pierre-Luc Ouellet de Terrebonne, après avoir mené le bal durant 18 passages, a terminé en quatrième place devant Jean-François Déry de Québec.

Pour l'instant, ce sont les seuls résultats officieux connus, car faisant suite à une escarmouche entre les équipes Laperle et Theetge devant les gradins, des sanctions devraient être prises et annoncées en début de semaine.

Les préliminaires

Vendredi soir, avant de tomber dans l'obscurité complète, on avait eu le temps de présenter les épreuves de qualification.

Dans la première, la recrue Marco Savoie a eu le meilleur devant Jimmy Cormier et Junior Collard. La deuxième est allée à Patrick Hamel qui s'est distingué devant Claude Leclerc et Yvon Bédard. Dans cette course, il s'est produit un incident de course entre les recrues Dany Trépanier et Alex Labbé tandis que dans la troisième, Daniel Descoste a triomphé aux dépens de Patrick Cliche et Donald Theetge.

Jean-François Déry en disposant de Karl Allard et Jonathan Desbiens dans la quatrième a complété le quatuor des vainqueurs alors qu'en consolation Étienne Lemay est celui qui avait triomphé. Pour leur part, Stéphane Durand et Steve Côté ont échoué dans leur tentative de mériter une place sur la grille de départ de ce LKQ Pintendre Autos 150.

La quatrième manche de cette série ACT-Castrol Edge sera présentée au circuit Ste-Croix/Riverside Speedway, samedi prochain. Ce sera un programme très chargé, car, la série Super Sportsman ainsi que toutes les classes locales ont été inscrites à l'horaire.

Triple Couronne Sport Compacte BESTBUY

Une course à l'emporte-pièce remportée par Philippe Poulin de St-Georges au volant de sa Honda. Il a pris la pôle au 30^e passage et son plus proche adversaire, Dominic Jacques, n'a jamais réussi à le dépasser. Jacques, de Vallée-Jonction, a donc terminé deuxième, suivi de Marc-André Demers de Le Gardeur. Robin Harrison et Jimmy Roy complètent le « TOP FIV ». Trente-trois voitures ont pris le départ dont 14 venant de l'Autodrome St-Eustache. Cette épreuve de 100 tours a été disputée en 45 minutes et ponctuée de seulement trois ralentissements.

Limité COOLFM 103.5 :

Stéphane Lecours de Lac Etchemin a continué sa domination en raflant les honneurs de la finale devant Johnny Gagné de St-Georges et Dave Caron de L'Islet-sur-Mer. Une course spectaculaire où Lecours, parti 10^e a dû manœuvrer dans le trafic pour savourer sa victoire. En demi-finale, Lecours, Julien Bernier et Yves Marcoux se sont succédé au fil d'arrivée.

Compact Amateur

En classe Compact/Amateur Jimmy Gagné de St-Georges a remporté la victoire devant Maxime Latendresse de Montréal et Johnny Vachon de St-Joseph. En demi-finale la victoire va à Olivier Pelletier-Labbé de Lévis.

Karl Allard Takes Autodrome Chaudiere Checkers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ACT – 061210

Vallee-Jct., QC – St-Felicien’s Karl Allard earned his fourth career Série ACT Castrol win in the 150 lap event at Autodrome Chaudiere on Saturday, June 12. Allard started sixteenth and took the lead after a restart on lap 132 and never looked back. The event was previously scheduled for Friday, June 11 but was postponed after qualifying due to electrical difficulties.

Allard becomes the sixth qualifier for the second annual ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 18. In the Inaugural running of the ACT Invitational last September Allard finished twelfth.

The remainder of the results from Autodrome Chaudiere are pending disciplinary penalties and should be announced on Monday, June 14.

The Série ACT Castrol is back in action next Saturday, June 19 for a 100 lap event at Riverside Speedway in St-Croix, QC.
