PASS NEWS: It's a PASS North rumble at White Mountain Saturday
For Immediate Release: Media, contact Norm Desjardins NAPLES ME (5/17) The thunder will roll Saturday evening when the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North super late models kick off White Mountain Motorsports Park's 2011 racing season, a track that’s a favorite stop for PASS racers and race fans alike. |
The smooth and fast high banked quarter mile will celebrate its eleventh year on the PASS North schedule in 2011 and fans can count on another bull ring barn burner when the first green of the North Woodstock NH speedway's season flies 4:00 PM . Johnny Clark and Richie Dearborn each earned a White Mountain win in 2010. Clark is the defending spring race winner and that victory was his first at White Mountain after years of trying. White Mountain was the start of a three race win streak for the 2010 PASS super late model champion, a run that was key to his fifth series title. Dearborn has won two fall events in a row, but he's never scored in the spring edition. If his performance at the quarter mile Star Speedway on May 14 is any indication, Dearborn may be ready to change that. He dominated at Star and a flat tire may be the only thing that kept the Hollis Maine racer out of victory lane. Ben Rowe makes no bones about loving the scenic White Mountain oval, despite the fact that he's been shut out of victory lane there since the spring of 2009. Rowe took over the PASS points lead at Star and he will be looking for a return to the White Mountain dominance he's enjoyed in the past. The entry list includes PASS veterans like Scott Chubbuck, Travis Benjamin, Gary Smith, Mike Rowe, Scott Alexander, Donnie Whitten and Jon Dabrowski .The new wave of PASS North racers on the list includes 2010 PASS Rookie of the Year Joey Doiron, Kyle DeSouza, Matt Matheson, Lonnie Sommerville, Austin Brehio, Jon Dickerman and David Oliver. White Mountain's own Late Models, Tigers, Strictly Stocks, Strictly Minis and Kids Trucks join PASS for their first weekly race of the season. It's a show that just can't be missed, and it all goes green at 4:00 PM on Saturday afternoon May 21. The back gate swings open at 10:00 AM and rotating practice for all six divisions gets underway at noon. Visit www.proallstarsseries.com and www.whitemtnmotorsports .com for more information. |
