Airborne Park Speedway to be Independently Sanctioned in 2024

For Immediate Release

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.— Airborne Park Speedway's weekly headline division, the 358 Small-Block Modifieds, will not carry any sanctioning banner in 2024.

The comeback modified division will follow the DIRTcar 358 rulebook with minor adjustments for the 2024 season. Track management reached out to DIRTcar about sanctioning races for the 358s in the exciting new season ahead, but an agreement could not be reached.

The early parts of a schedule for 2024 are being pieced together now, and so far, we know this much:

Thursday nights will be the regular, weekly night of racing to begin at 7PM with a three hour show featuring the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Modifieds, Renegades and Four cylinders. Select Saturday night shows will feature the Sportsman division with the possibility of one or two small-block races on Saturdays, provided there are no conflicts with other track schedules. Sprint Cars, Vintage cars, Pro Stocks, Mini Sprints and more are expected to join the Sportsman class on Saturday nights depending on the week.

An opening night date is still to be determined, but Airborne Park Speedway operator Mike Bruno has stated that the 2024 season will begin with a Saturday night race before moving to Thursdays.
