Drivers From Around the Country to Hunt for the "$5,000 Prize Egg" in the PASS South Easter Bunny 150

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Pro All Stars Series-South

Charlotte, NC 4/3/12- Every Easter hunting for eggs is a tradition around the country with a special “prize egg” as the one sought out egg amongst all young egg hunters. In most occasions that prize egg holds money that every kid desires so bad, and the fact they can brag about being the best Easter egg hunter to others is always a bonus. This Saturday at the Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway one of the biggest “prize eggs” in the country, worth about $5,000, is up for grabs in the seventh annual running of the PASS South Easter Bunny 150.

Over forty cars are expected to converge on the 3/8th mile track for Saturday night’s event. Former Easter Bunny 150 winners Ben Rowe, Ryan Lawler, Preston Peltier, and Stephen Nasse will all look to become the first repeat winner. If history is anywhere close to repeating itself the Easter Bunny 150 winner will give fans a pretty solid indication on who will win the series championship in 2012, as four out of six champions the series has crowned, won the 150 lap event the same year they won the series points championship.
In addition to plenty of former series champions and Easter Bunny 150 winners, several familiar names planning part time PASS South season schedules in 2012 such as now NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Ryan Blaney, Andy Loden, Steven Legendre, Trevor Sanborn, and Trey Mitchell have all filed entries for the event. A couple of additions to the entry list in the form of Kyle Desouza and Dustin Hubbard from the PASS North Series also plan on making the trip South.
While the plethora of drivers making the trip to Hickory may steal the headlines, the quality of racing will be what’s most visible come race day. Whether it be qualifying or the last chance race for non-qualified drivers, racing your way into the twenty-eight car starting field is a tough task for all.
Another factor for competitors to consider is the Easter Buuny 150 race is the first of seven National Championship events for the Pro All Stars Series set to take place in 2012. So far the National Championship has been dominated by northern racers and depending on how the results play out the northern dominance could continue in 2012.
Fans around the world that won’t have a chance to see the PASS South Easter Bunny 150 in person will be able to catch the event live via online pay per view courtesy of 3 Wide Networks. For $19.99 fans will be able to view 3 Wide Networks multiple camera live feed with their personal computers, laptops, cell phones, or iPads with play-by-play action from series announcer Alan Dietz through the public address system.
The 2012 Easter Bunny 150 at the Hickory Motor Speedway kicks off Saturday April 7th at 12 noon with practice followed by time trials at 4:30pm. PASS South super late model last chance races, Bandolero, Legend, and Allison Legacy Series features start at 6pm with the Easter Bunny 150 to follow at approximately 8pm.
