AUTOMOTIVE TV PERSONALITY COURTNEY HANSEN RETURNING TO THE TORONTO MOTORAMA SHOW March 9, 10 & 11, 2018 at Toronto’s International Centre

AUTOMOTIVE TV PERSONALITY COURTNEY HANSEN
RETURNING TO THE TORONTO MOTORAMA SHOW

March 9, 10 & 11, 2018 at Toronto's International Centre

TORONTO, ON // FEBRUARY 27, 2018 • Courtney Hansen was one of the show's first celebrity guests during the inaugural Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo Presented by Mothers, in 2015.

During her appearance, the automotive TV personality made a huge impression on everyone at the show. By the time she headed back to her home in south Florida, all sides agreed that Courtney would have to come back to Canada's biggest automotive and motorsports show at a future date.

The show's organizers are very happy to announce that Courtney Hansen will be making her return appearance at this year's Toronto Motoramashow, signing autographs for – and taking pictures with – showgoers. She'll also be taking part in on-stage discussion panels and awards presentations during the three-day automotive and racing extravaganza.

Motorama runs March 9, 10 & 11 at The International Centre, across from Toronto's Pearson Airport.

Hansen's automotive knowledge, outgoing personality and beautiful smile have made her a natural for roles on TV's Overhaulin', and hosting the PowerBlock / PowerNation TV shows. She's also appeared on the cover of Hot Rod magazine, written automotive books and magazine columns, worked as a pit reporter at NASCAR races and served as a presenter at the year-end NASCAR banquet. She also has a long resume as a celebrity spokesperson for some of the industry's most prominent companies.

And as she returns to Toronto to reconnect with Canadian car and racing fans at Motorama, Hansen is elated to promote her new show, Dream Ride, which will begin airing in July on History Channel as part of its Drive Block. The show features co-hosts Hansen and award-winning customizer Troy Ladd as they work to reconnect people with 'the car that got away.'

"I'm so excited to be coming back to Toronto for the Motorama show," said Courtney Hansen. "I had such a good time at the 2015 show that I really wanted to come back and do it again; I'm so glad it's worked out. I'm also extremely excited about our new show Dream Ride, which we've been working on for a long time. So between meeting the fans, car owners, checking out the amazing cars, and taking part in discussion panels and awards presentations, and promoting Dream Ride… I can't wait to be part of Motorama again!"

Born in Minnesota and raised at her family's Brainerd Raceway, Hansen grew up at that and other racetracks. Her father, Jerry Hansen, won 27 SCCA championships during his career. Coming from that background, it's not hard to see how the former fashion model ended up being an avid auto and racing enthusiast.

"The first year we put on the show, Courtney was one of our guest celebrities," said co-promoter Greg MacPherson. "She knows cars and racing, which makes her a perfect fit for Motorama. On top of that, she's one of the nicest, most down-to-earth people you'll ever meet. We're honoured that she's coming back and we know she'll put a smile on the faces of everyone she comes in contact with."

For details about Courtney Hansen's appearance at Motorama, including times and locations, watch the 'Schedule' page at MotoramaShow.com. Advance online tickets are also available at the same website.

She's also done work as a pit reporter and awards banquet host for NASCAR. The Minnesota native now lives in southern Florida and is excited about the July 2018 launch of her new TV show Dream Ride for History Channel's Drive Block. ACT Announces 2018 Summer Showdown Series

ACT Announces 2018 Summer Showdown Series

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                                         ACT022518-05

<<ATTACHED PHOTO (tr09041751.JPG): The ACT Summer Showdown Series included three $5,000-to-win events, including the Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road Speedbowl on Sunday, September 2. (Alan Ward photo)>>

Waterbury, VT – Big money will be on the line in a trio of American-Canadian Tour (ACT) events this season as part of the 2018 Summer Showdown Series. ACT officials announced the series today, which includes three $5,000-to-win events as part of the ACT Late Model Tour schedule.

The ACT Summer Showdown Series will be held at three different tracks in three New England states, testing drivers throughout the region. The series will kick off with the Oxford 150 at Maine's Oxford Plains Speedway on Sunday, May 20. The $5,000-to-win event is part of an ACT/PASS doubleheader at the 3/8-mile oval.

The second event in the Summer Showdown Series will be the Waterford 150 at Connecticut's New London–Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday, June 16. For the final event, the series will head to Barre, VT's Thunder Road Speedbowl on Sunday, September 2 for the Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic 200.

In addition to the $5,000 winner's purse, ACT has also posted a $5,000 bonus if anyone can win all three Summer Showdown Series events. In all, a driver would earn a total of $20,000 by sweeping the series.

"We think this will be a win for both teams and fans," ACT co-owner Cris Michaud said. "It gives everybody something extra to race for even if they're not in the championship hunt. That added intensity means more exciting action for the fans. And if someone wins the first two events, then who wouldn't want to be at Thunder Road on Labor Day weekend to see if they can pull off the sweep?"

Each event in the series will also award points toward the 2018 ACT Late Model Tour championship. The ACT season opener will come to the grid at Lee USA Speedway on Sunday, April 15 with the New Hampshire Governor's Cup 150.

Montpelier, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) honored some of the top performers of the 2017 season at the ACT Banquet of Champions on Saturday, February 24. Drivers, car owners, crew members, and officials all gathered at the Capitol Plaza in Montpelier, VT to celebrate their accomplishments and officially wrap up the 32ndseason of ACT competition.

Milton, VT's Scott Payea, along with car owner Rick Paya, were officially recognized as the 2017 ACT Late Model Tour Champions. For Payea, it was a long-awaited first ACT championship, while the title marked Paya's ninth in ACT competition.

After finishing second in ACT points four times during his career, including his first year with RPM Motorsports in 2016, Payea had a historic run to the 2017 crown. Payea's five wins included an ACT-record four straight during the first half of the season. He finished outside the top-5 only once during the entire campaign.

The 2017 Banquet of Champions was the first held since the passing of ACT founder Tom Curley, who played a big role in the development of many of the drivers honored on Saturday night. Payea and others spoke throughout the evening about the influence Curley had on their careers and how much he has been missed.

The Burnett Motorsports team were the other big winners on Saturday as they received a trio of special awards. Driver Jason Corliss of Barre, VT was honored as both the ACT Late Model Rookie of the Year and the Gordon R. "Doc" Nielsen Outstanding Rookie. He finished an impressive third in points in his first year competing on the Tour while also racing weekly at his hometown Thunder Road Speedbowl.

Corliss is the first two-time winner of the Doc Nielsen Award. He previously won the award in 2010 as a rookie in the Lenny's Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers at Thunder Road. The award goes to a driver who shows the same dedication and spirit that Nielsen valued when mentoring young racers as ACT's Chief Scorer.

Team crew chief Andrew Hill of Georgia, VT received the ACT Crew Chief of the Year Award. Hill was an instrumental part of the team's outstanding 2017 performance. His leadership at the shop and at the track helped the team stay focused and quickly get up to speed at tracks they had never previously competed at.

The ACT Late Model Tour opens its 2018 season at Lee USA Speedway on Sunday, April 15 with the annual New Hampshire Governor's cup. The 10-race schedule includes events in four different states and seven different tracks throughout New England. For more information, please contact the ACT offices at (802) 244-6963media@acttour.com, or visit www.acttour.com.

22 RACING MAKES MANUFACTURER CHANGE IN 2018

22 RACING MAKES MANUFACTURER CHANGE IN 2018

For Immediate Release

22 RACING MAKES MANUFACTURER CHANGE  IN 2018

MILVERTON, ON, Wednesday February 21, 2018:   On the heels of the announcement this week by GM Paille, Marc-Antoine Camirand and 22 Racing, we are pleased to announce that all eight of our NASCAR Pintys series cars will be converted to the new 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

The #22 of Marc-Antoine Camirand, the #18 and the #24 of Donald Theetge will all be competing in the ZL1 Camaro at all thirteen NASCAR Pinty's Series events across the Country in 2018.

"We have had a long and prosperous relationship with Dodge for the past 11 years in NASCAR in Canada and we thank them for their support.  But we are extremely excited and proud to launch the 2018 Chevrolet ZL1 Camaro in the NASCAR Pintys Series this year," said team owner Scott Steckly.  "It has been incredibly busy since the first of September getting all the pieces in place to bring this car to the track.  The support and help of GM Paille owner JC Paille, Tony Novotny at Performance Fiberglass and NASCAR Canada have made it a reality."

"Chevrolet is proud to support 22 Racing as it introduces the ZL1 to NASCAR Pinty's Series, adding to the long and storied history of Camaro performance," said James Hodge, advertising manager, Chevrolet in Canada. "The ZL1 is a time-honoured and track-tested badge that was designed to excel at everything and we know it will excite the drivers, fans and customers as it joins NASCAR's top Canadian series."

With the team of winning and top performing drivers in the stable at 22 Racing they fully expect to notch many podiums and wins in the ZL1 Camaro for Chevrolet in 2018.

The NASCAR Pintys Series season kicks off at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Victoria day weekend May 19/20.  Click on this link for the entire 2018 series schedule. http://www.22racing.ca/schedule/

About the Chevrolet Camaro
The Camaro ZL1 brings a unique, track-focused legacy to NASCAR. The ZL1 name was originally bestowed in the 1960s on a Chevrolet-developed all-aluminum racing engine that became a dominating force in road racing. In 1969, a few enterprising dealers used Chevrolet's special-order system to get the ZL1 engine installed in 69 regular-production Camaros. The cars became instant legends on the street and dragstrip.

More than 40 years later, Chevrolet reintroduced the ZL1 as the ultimate performance Camaro, developed to offer track-capable performance straight off the showroom floor. The 2018 Camaro ZL1 is powered by a 650-horsepower supercharged engine featuring a similar 90-degree V-8 configuration as the Cup racing engines.
The new Camaro ZL1 race car builds on a winning legacy carried by the previous Chevrolet SS, which has scored 70 Cup Series wins to date and contributed to Chevrolet earning a record 39 NASCAR manufacturer titles — including 13 consecutive titles from 2003-2015.

About 22 Racing:
22 Racing is owned by 4X NASCAR Pinty's Series Champion Scott Steckly and is based out of Milverton Ontario in a new (2014) 7,500 square foot race shop.  They have fielded teams for drivers such as Christopher Bell, Jacques Villeneuve, James Buescher, Jeb Burton, Kaz Grala, L.P. Dumoulin, Max Papis and many others.

22 Racing provides turnkey solutions for drivers looking to compete in the NASCAR Pinty's Series. The 22 Racing Team is supported by the following sponsors:  Erb Group of Companies, AW Millwrights, Sturdy Formed Concrete, Castrol, Wendell Motors, Twin City Graphics, Auto Glym, Mechanix Wear, Dickies Canada, Great Dane Glasvan, Safety Kleen, Dupli-Color & Permatex.

Adding Heat to a Sizzling 2018 Season at Peterborough Speedway

Adding Heat to a Sizzling 2018 Season at Peterborough Speedway

By Jim Clarke, Clarke Motorsports Communications/First Draft Media

Some of the province's hottest motorsports action can be found on Canada's Toughest 3rd of a Mile Paved Oval. From the year's first green flag on Victoria Day Weekend, to the final checkered of Thanksgiving's Autumn Colours Classic, Peterborough Speedway's 5 weekly classes and special guest divisions have been thrilling race fans for more than half a century.

"We heard about the type of events people want to see and then went to work to put together a schedule to meet those needs," said track owner/promoter J.P. Josiasse. "First and foremost, our concern is to give the fans who come through the grandstand gates what they want and the best value for their motorsports entertainment dollar."

Throughout the 2018 calendar, the home track Bone Stock, Mini Stock, Renegade Truck, Super Stock and Late Model teams will share the spotlight with the OSCAAR Modifieds and Midgets, Ontario Pro Challenge, Ontario Legends, Ontario Modifieds Racing Series, APC Pro Late Model, Can Am TQ Midgets and Ontario Super Late Model divisions. Saturday, August 11th, the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series returns to the tight, tricky bullring on Mount Pleasant Road, west of the Liftlock City.

Josiasse and the Peterborough Speedway team hope to carry the same momentum from the track's 50th anniversary season into 2018. Last year, car counts were solid in every weekly division and with the exception of a rogue shower during the Saturday qualifying round at Autumn Colours, the entire schedule was rain-free. While the forecast is a factor once the green flag waves, the promotional team's immediate priority is putting the finishing touches on the schedule of events.

"The days and weeks leading-up to opening night of a new season are some of the busiest of the entire year, but as soon as the first spectator takes their seat to watch the action, the hard work and long hours are all worthwhile," Josiasse said. "Racers are working as hard as the track crews and with familiar faces in different places this year, it's a good thing we're having a fan appreciation autograph session on opening night."

Bullring bullet points: Visit the Peterborough Speedway booth at the 4th annual Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports Expo – March 9th, 10th & 11th – at the International Centre in Toronto to pick up a copy of the track's 2018 event schedule.

Fans can keep-up with all the latest off-season headlines by visiting www.peterboroughspeedway.com, liking the track on Facebook or following it on Twitter. News and information is also available through the free Peterborough Speedway app for Smartphone users.

NHRA FUNNY CAR WORLD CHAMPION RON CAPPS TO APPEAR AT TORONTO MOTORAMA SHOW

NHRA FUNNY CAR WORLD CHAMPION RON CAPPS TO APPEAR AT TORONTO MOTORAMA SHOW

March 9, 10 & 11, 2018 at Toronto's International Centre

TORONTO, ON // FEBRUARY 21, 2018 • Traditionally, the dates for the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo presented by Mothers have conflicted with the schedule for the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. But not this year.

Taking full advantage of the opportunity, the show's organizers are excited to announce that Ron Capps, one of the winningest racers in the history of the NHRA, will be appearing at the Toronto Motorama show.

Backed by NAPA since 2008, the Carlsbad, California resident was the NHRA Funny Car World Champion in 2016. During his incredible career, he's finished second in the Funny Car points on five occasions, most recently in 2017. He entered the 2018 season with a whopping 55 career NHRA FC wins – second only to John Force in that category – and has made 110 Final Round appearances during his 500-plus career starts.

Currently in his 14th season driving for the powerful Don Schumacher Racing team, Capps' best-ever quarter-mile Elapsed Time (ET) was a 3.839 second run, and his career best speed was 333.58 miles per hour.

When he's not driving the NAPA Auto Parts Dodge Charger R/T, the married father of two enjoys golf, rock music, racquetball and acting. Capps also enjoys other forms of racing, including piloting Sprint Cars, go-karts and even computer racing games.

Capps jokes that he was going to drag races before he was born. His parents met at a drag race and his mom was still attending events while pregnant with Ron.

"I'm really looking forward to coming to the Toronto Motorama show and meeting with Canadian drag racing fans; I know there are a lot of them up there. I'll be there March 10 & 11 signing autographs, taking pictures and talking racing with the fans," said Capps, who currently sits second in the NHRA Funny Car points and will be heading to the Gatornationals, in Gainesville, Florida, within days of his appearance atMotorama.

Speaking on behalf of the show, Greg MacPherson said, "When we found out that Ron Capps was available to come to Motorama, we jumped at the opportunity. He's one of the most successful and popular racers in the history of drag racing and I know our showgoers are going to enjoy meeting him on March 10 & 11 at The International Centre."

CAMIRAND TO DRIVE THE NEW 2018 CHEVROLET CAMARO IN THE NASCAR PINTYS SERIES

CAMIRAND TO DRIVE THE NEW 2018 CHEVROLET CAMARO IN THE NASCAR PINTYS SERIES

PRESS RELEASE
For immediate release

CAMIRAND TO DRIVE THE NEW CHEVROLET CAMARO IN THE 2018 NASCAR PINTYS SERIES

Berthierville, February 19, 2018 – The Chevrolet Camaro is back in NASCAR. While the car made its debut in the top-tier division, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, as well as other touring series, the new Camaro will be introduced in the NASCAR Pinty's series next May.

Paillé, #1 GM dealer in Canada, played a lead role to bring back the Camaro in the Canadian division of NASCAR, as his driver Marc-Antoine Camirand will try to capture the championship in the mythic car that celebrated his 50th anniversary last year.

"It was natural for us to showcase Chevrolet's muscle car in Canada's most prestigious stock-car series. We wanted to introduce the Camaro in the NASCAR Pinty's series to have on track a Chevrolet rear-wheel-drive V8 with manual transmission," commented GM Paillé CEO, Jean-Claude Paillé,

GM Paillé's team met with Chevrolet Canada during the NASCAR Pinty's race at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, located a few miles from General Motors facilities in Oshawa, ON. 22 Racing team, that prepares n°22 car driven by Marc-Antoine Camirand, developed a new body that replicates Chevrolet's mythic performance car.

"As soon as we had the approval from Chevrolet Canada, R&D started at 22 Racing shop to introduce the new body in the NASCAR Pinty's series for the 2018 season. Scott Steckly's team has worked on the car since last fall," told Mr. Paillé.

Driver Marc-Antoine Camirand, who will compete full-time in the NASCAR Pinty's series in 2018, is excited to be at the wheel of the new n°22 Camaro, thanks to the most important GM dealer in Canada. "I've always said how proud I am to work with such passionate and professional partner and team as GM Paillé and 22 Racing. The introduction of the Camaro shows again how serious these people around me are about racing. I'm highly motivated to give them my first win and fight for the championship," said Camirand.

While the Camaro made an astonishing come back in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup, winning the 2018 Daytona 500 with Richard Childress Racing n°3 car driven by Austin Dillon, it will be on track in the NASCAR Pinty's series in May, for the season opener at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, in Bowmanville, ON.

"Since the 1970s, Mothers has been a huge supporter of the custom car and classic car hobby," said Mothers' Cliff Waller. "A show such as Motorama brings together the hard-core hot rodders, tuners, class car and racing people. These are our customers. At Mothers, we cater to the enthusiast; these are the people we want in front of us. And these are the people who will be walking through the doors at Motorama."

It's been a long-running tradition, within the Mothers Car Care organization, to support and 'give back' to the hobby.

Perpetuating this practice, the California-based company will continue to present highly-coveted Mothers Gift Buckets – each filled with more than $250 in Mtech car care products – to show award winners. The Mtech line of products (Synthetic Wax, Wash & Wax, Instant Detailer, Interior Detailer and All-In-One Leather Care) was created in conjunction with Canadian Tire; the sole retailer of the Mtech product line in Canada.

Although Mothers' products are only available through licensed suppliers and will not be for sale at the show, Motoramashowgoers visiting the Mothers Car Care Products booth will have the opportunity to view the full line of Mothers Car Care products, and can speak to the staff on hand. These individuals are trained Mothers representatives who will answer questions and offer advice and solutions to those who are interested in learning about products and procedures to keep their vehicles in top condition.

Continued Waller, "Our customers are the people who have built Mothers and it's our responsibility and challenge to satisfy their needs. The Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo Presented by Mothers gives us the opportunity to meet and connect with fellow car enthusiasts – to talk about our products or to just talk about our cars."

Reflecting on Mothers' participation at the show, Motorama's David Weber said, "We are extremely honoured that Mothers Car Care Products is returning for a third year as the show's presenting sponsor and most prominent partner. This will be their fourth year giving Mothers Gift Buckets to the award winners, and the third year that the Mothers name has been part of the show's title.

"We know car owners love Mothers' products and appreciate them supporting the show and the hobby the way they do. It's a pleasure working with Cliff Waller and Mothers and we encourage everyone to visit the Mothers booth and check out their products while at Motorama."

Qualifiers For 2018 “Roads To Oxford And Richmond” Program Announced

Qualifiers For 2018 "Roads To Oxford And Richmond" Program Announced

NAPLES, ME (February 16) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry announced today the expansion of the newly named "Roads To Oxford And Richmond" program in 2018.  Now in its fifth year, the groundbreaking "Roads To Oxford And Richmond" concept will expand to give racers across the continent the chance to compete in short track asphalt racing's biggest events.  Competitors from both the United States and Canada will have the opportunity to race for guaranteed starting spots, while keeping focused on the 45th Annual Oxford 250 and the inaugural Commonwealth Classic at Richmond Raceway throughout the season.

The 2017 Oxford 250 saw droves of race fans from across North America and over 60 Super Late Models make the trek to Oxford Plains Speedway in Maine, as the venerable race continues to be one of the biggest short track events in the world.  And beginning this year, racers across several short track disciplines will have the opportunity to race at the Richmond Raceway in Virginia as part of the inaugural Commonwealth Classic in October.

"The Oxford 250 is continuing the tradition as one of the premier events in all of short track racing and with the addition of Richmond, PASS racers will have the chance to compete in two of the biggest events in North America," said Mayberry.  "The 'Roads To Oxford And Richmond' will be bigger than ever in 2018.  We will be able to keep the 250 and Richmond in focus throughout the year and give competitors at several venues the chance to get locked in."

This year's program will see the winners of four select races in the United States and Canada get a guaranteed starting position at full start money for the Oxford 250 or at Richmond.  The remaining top five finishers in each of these events will be guaranteed a starting position for the Oxford 250 or Richmond at half start money.

The first event to be featured will be the famed Easter Bunny 150 at North Carolina's Hickory Motor Speedway on March 31.  The "Roads" then continue to an international event in the Canadian province of New Brunswick, with the series' first trip to Petty International Raceway on June 2.  Then, a special Tuesday night 200 lapper paying $5,000 to win on July 3, will be held at Spud Speedway in Caribou, ME.  The final race as part of the "Roads To Oxford And Richmond" will be on Sunday, July 29 at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Additionally, the top licensed drivers in points from PASS North, PASS South, and the PASS National Championship Series, will have provisionals available, if needed, as long as they have attempted to qualify for every race in their chosen series.  All drivers that will have guaranteed spots through the "Roads To Oxford And Richmond" or via championship points provisionals have to compete in their heat races, qualifying, or in their consolation races, but will not have to compete in the last chances race if they have not already advanced.  A full schedule of events and support divisions for the 45th Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway and the inaugural Commonwealth Classic at Richmond Raceway will be announced in the near future.
