For more than half a century, Canada's Toughest 3rd Mile Oval has earned a reputation for hosting some of the best weekly racing in Central Ontario. Heading into the 2023 schedule, Peterborough Speedway will once again welcome some of the sports top touring series to the track's line-up.

APC Pro Late Model action will once again take the centre stage at the bullring on Mount Pleasant Road, with a 100 lapper scheduled for Saturday, June 17th. In 2022, JR Fitzpatrick clinched the series title on the strength of 4 main event wins in 9 starts. The driver of the No. 84 machine scored a top 10 finish during every event on schedule. Last year, he started 8th after the inversion draw and led 29 laps on his way to the Peterborough Speedway victory. The Qwick Wick Fire Starter Super Stock tour will share the bill with its Pro Late Model brethren. Jason Parker scored the win in last year's event, with Brandon Feeney's 10th place effort the best of the 3 home track runners to crack the starting field.

During the off-season, the OSCAAR Modified and Hot Rod divisions merged with the United Racing Series. Both classes will have a pair of dates on the track's 2023 line-up, starting with a Saturday, August 5th regular season double-header, before returning October 6th through 8th as part of the 30th anniversary running of the Autumn Colours Classic. Andy Kamrath had a pair of OSCAAR Modified wins in 2022, with Bill Zardo Sr. and Tyler Hawn sharing the Hot Rod Series checkered flags.

Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model teams will be back at Canada's Toughest 3rd Mile Oval Saturday, July 15th. Glenn Watson picked-up the 2022 Series win, on his way to the tour championship. The Ontario Sportsman Series recently confirmed a Peterborough Speedway show on their 10-date 2023 schedule. After Kevin Trevellin turned a pole position starting spot and a dominating performance into his first career win and the tour championship for his No. 19 machine, the group will return to the popular Central Ontario oval Saturday, July 29th.

"Our hometown Bone Stock, Mini Stock, Super Stock, Renegade Truck and Late Model classes will always be the foundation of our weekly racing program," said Peterborough Speedway track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse. "Special guest divisions have long been the perfect compliment for our Saturday night schedule and the 2023 line-up is no exception. We're expecting additional groups – including the Ontario Modifieds Racing Series and Canadian Legend Cars – to add their timetables to the mix shortly, with our full calendar released early in the new year."
