By Jim Clarke, Clarke Motorsports Communications/First Draft Media
Fresh from a 3rd place finish in her rookie season with the Ontario Bandolero Series – including a first career feature win midway through the year at Sunset Speedway – 17-year-old Ava Boundy flew the nation's colours at a pair of events south of the border.
The 3rd generation racer from Bowmanville, Ontario – who scored a 3rd place finish in the Peterborough Speedway's Autumn Colours Classic – logged a 10th place effort at the Bandoro Nationals, Sunday, September 14th at Charlotte Motor Speedway and was 7th during at 20-lap Asphalt Nationals headliner staged Saturday, October 25th at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Both dates included a star-studded field with some of the biggest names and brightest young talents in the sport.
Ava Boundy – who developed her racing skills under the guidance and tutelage of her father Paul Boundy, who was named the driver of the best appearing car and won the 2025 Peterborough Speedway Super Stock championship – is a 2-sport athlete. She has been a competitive figure skater for 15 years, is a 2-time provincial qualifier for Skate Canada and a level 1 certified Figure Skating Coach.
The honour roll high school student works at Volt Raceway in Bowmanville, where she has a pair of indoor karting championships. She's looking to be a professional racer some day and will be studying to be a professional hairstylist beginning in the fall.
With a new season of action just around the corner, the talented teenager says she's looking forward to taking her backing from Volt Raceway, Spinners Laundromat, Alma Mechanical, www.wheelhousew10.ca Uniforms, DJD Gear, Phoenix Signs and Race Driven Performance when she kicks-off the 2026 schedule with the Ontario Bandolero Series, as the group rolls to starting line Saturday, May 30th at Sauble Speedway. Teams will also be part of the annual Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo, March 13th to 15th at the International Centre in Toronto.
Ava Boundy is excited to get the new season underway and thanks her family and friends for their support and encouragement as she pursues her motorsports career.
