22 Racing launches webAR platform
powered by WorldCAST

February 27, 2020, Milverton, ON:   22 Racing, one of Canada's leading NASCAR Pinty's Series teams, is proud to announce its ongoing technology partnership with WorldCAST, an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) platform powered by KP9 Interactive. Together they are taking an exciting new step in bringing AR experiences to even more Canadian race fans with the launch of 22 Racing's free webAR platform.

Over the off-season 22 Racing's partner KP9 Interactive developed a new way to deliver powerful augmented reality experiences to digital audiences without the need to download and install a traditional app.

WorldCAST's webAR platform sets the new standard for delivering stunning augmented reality experiences through users' preferred web browser, eliminating friction and engaging new audiences.

The free 22 Racing webAR platform works on most mobile devices with an up-to-date browser and even works on many older phones and tablets. Web-based augmented reality no longer requires that users ensure their device's operating system and apps are up to date to take advantage of future enhancements.

Race fans can scan their favourite 22 Racing driver's hero cards, magazine ads, posters and other printed items identified with the WebAR Enabled icon.

Users simply need to visit portal.22racing.ca to take it for a test drive and watch enabled print items come to life with an exclusive digital layer of enhanced content.

Each "CAST" is viewable with 22 Racing's webAR platform, and can include 3D models, exclusive high definition video, audio clips, social media and website links, special offers, and much more. Automotive and race fans will be able to fire up the new 22 Racing webAR platform when they pick up a copy of the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo program and find the ad featuring Ohsweken Speedway and Qwick Wick fire starters.

Motorama runs from March 13 to the 15th at the International Centre - 6900 Airport Road, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Race fans are encouraged to keep augmented 22 Racing team hero cards or printed handouts handy once they get home from the track - additional surprises can be unlocked throughout the season as the images can be re-augmented and paired with different offers and content thanks to the capability of PrintCAST Studio, found at studio.worldcast.io

"No other AR company has built such a comprehensive AR navigation and image recognition system all-in-one for the web. Eventually the world will be app-free and our platform is ready and enthusiastic to meet that world with open arms." said Wil McReynolds, KP9 Interactive CEO.

KP9 Interactive's WorldCAST suite of augmented reality applications, including PrintCAST, is a subscription-based software available on desktop and tablets enabling publishers, agencies and marketers, cities, and brands to create their own augmented reality experiences on print and on location for their clients while gathering audience behaviour analytics. No coding or experience required. For more information visit www.worldcast.io
