HALF-PRICE COUPON NIGHT THIS FRIDAY

Delaware Speedway is flooding the London area with 50% off admission coupons for use at this Friday's Exeter Toyota Night. Over 180,000 coupons will be distributed in print covering nearly every household in London. As well as printed coupons being distributed, the track is making a special online coupon code available which can be used to buy and print tickets online at half price with no service fees. The coupon code will be sent out through the track's website, facebook, and twitter feed. Friday's event features local racing and Delaware's famous King of the Hill Spectator's Race.
"We want to share what we do at Delaware Speedway with as many people as possible," said track PR director John Houghton. "Many people in the area are still unaware of the great attraction so close to home. We're asking everyone to share this coupon with their friends, neighbours, and family. Never in recent memory has Delaware Speedway put out a coupon offer this good to this many people."
Highlighting Friday's lineup is the Coca-Cola Super Stock Invitational which invites drivers from across the region to join in competition with our home track drivers. The event is run in twin 35-lap segments but is considered to be one race. The winner of last year's invitational was Shawn Chenoweth (#89) of Flamboro Speedway. Running between the two 35-lap segments will be the Demar Aggregates Trucks making their second start of the season.
The night also features the track's legendary King of the Hill Spectator's racing in support of Jesse's Journey. King of the Hill Spectator's Racing allows spectators to enter their own street legal, street driven vehicles in one-on-one fun single-lap races around the legendary half-mile speedway at Delaware.
Spectator gates open on Friday at 6:00 pm, racing starts at the track's new Friday start time of7:30 pm. The track is encouraging spectators who are planning ahead to skip the ticket windows and purchase tickets online in advance using the coupon code RACEDAY. There are no service fees for online purchases.
===SATURDAY NIGHT===
Racing will continue on Saturday night when the Enduro & Bone Stock Chaos Cars hit the track sponsored by All-Round Truck and Auto Care. The event will feature a refreshed lineup with some adjustments from the season opener. The adjustments include a tighter distance for the Enduro series, a forty-lap race for the Bone Stocks, and the Ladies Bone Stock event being run as part of the regular program. Saturday's races start at 7:00 pm. The event also features the debut of a number of new Bone Stock Chaos Cars which will see some of Delaware's top drivers behind the wheel in vehicles prepared by students at local high school students. Weekend camping is available at the track free of charge with event admission.

THE STORY
EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – Emily Packard of East Montpelier, Vt., returns to her home track for a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 35-lap Late Model feature at Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., on Saturday, June 1. Despite setting the fastest time in all three practice sessions on opening day at the track, Packard was caught up in an on-track incident and finished 13th on Saturday, May 18. Packard looks to rebound this weekend and climb back into track championship contention.

Emily Packard scored her first career Top-10 finish in an ACT Late Model Tour race when she finished 10th in the Spring Green 113 at Devil's Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt., on Sunday, May 5.
Emily Packard became the first woman in a decade to win a feature event at Thunder Road International Speedbowl when she won a Street Stock feature at the track last summer.
Emily Packard was voted the 2012 Vermont Motorsports Magazine Rookie of the Year, and she was also named the Vermont Sportswriters & Sportscasters Association Athlete of the Month for August 2012.
Emily Packard was one of 36 Late Model drivers from across the northeast and Canada invited to participate in the ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sylvania 300 weekend last September.
Emily Packard Motorsports crew chief Neal Woodward is a five-time ACT Late Model Tour champion crew chief whose cars set track qualifying records at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.

EMILY PACKARD, Driver of the No. 9x Northstar Fireworks/Berlin Optical Expressions Chevrolet, On rebounding from a disappointing night last time out at Canaan Fair Speedway: "I'm really excited to go back and redeem myself. I've calmed down a lot since everything happened, and all my hot-headedness is gone. I feel like once a year I have a race where I drive like an idiot, and I look at it like I got it done early this year.
"The car was so awesome all day, even after we had three-quarters of a car left in the race. The car was flying. It was still fast after everything that happened. Now that we've had a race under our belt, hopefully everybody will have a good race this weekend and we'll get a good result."
On how she approaches the race this weekend: "'I'm going to have to go in looking at the bigger picture. I know I said that before – but as soon as I got there and was on top of the speed charts all day, I got impatient and I made stupid decisions. I know that I made mistakes and I'm going to take responsibility for that and not blame all the other drivers.
"This time I really do mean it when I say I'm looking at the big picture."
On her comfort level at Canaan: "Canaan has been my home all along. It's always been my fall-back track. You hold onto that kind of stuff. I was testing it at Canaan when I was 14. It's always been my home, and I've put a lot of laps in around that place. We feel really comfortable there.
"Everybody looks at Thunder Road as our home track, because it's only 15 minutes from home, but it's not. I'm working up to that, but I'm not as comfortable there yet. Canaan is the place I consider my home."

Emily Packard will tackle a tripleheader of Late Model racing next weekend, Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9... Packard will run the second leg of the Vermont State Championship Late Model Series – the People's United Bank 100 – at Devil's Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt., on Friday, head to Canaan Fair Speedway for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series on Saturday and then return to Thunder Road International Speedbowl for the start of weekly competition there on Sunday afternoon.

AU PROGRAMME, EN PLUS DES PILOTES ACT CASTROL LES SPORTSMAN LUCAS OIL ASE, LES REV-STAR ET LES PILOTES ANCA SERONT DE LA PARTIE
St-Eustache, 28 mai 2013. Un programme des plus complets est au programme à l'Autodrome St-Eustache ce samedi 1er juin.
En plus des pilotes de la Série ACT Castrol qui, suite aux caprices de dame nature, entameront finalement leur saison 2013 à l'ASE (Voir communiqué de la série ACT), il y aura également au programme les pilotes de la Série Rev-Star qui seront de la partie. Il sera intéressant de voit comment le jeune Dave Coursol, un ex-pilote en Sport-Compacte et Sportsman, à l'ASE, se tirera d'affaire avec sa nouvelle monture dans cette très rapide série.
En ce qui concerne les divisions ANCA de l'ASE, la lutte reprendra de plus belle en Sportsman Lucas Oil, alors que Jean-François Bouvrette, le gagnant du programme d'ouverture officielle de la saison, tenu le 18 mai dernier, tentera d'accentuer son avance au premier rang du championnat. Il faudra cependant surveiller les Aubin et Demers qui sont à ses trousses, et Martin Lacombe qui a joué de malchance, ayant été impliqué dans un accident qui a ruiné sa première course de la saison. On devrait également assister à l'arrivée de nouveaux pilotes dont les bolides n'étaient pas encore prêts le 18 mai. Parmi ceux-ci, les organisateurs espèrent l'arrivée de l'ex- champion Guy Jubinville, ainsi que Steve Ladouceur de St-Agathe, Patrick Leporé et Jérôme Laporte, entr'autres.
En Sport Compacte, la classe majeure en 4 cylindres, Yannick Miron, Patrick Boucher, Stéphane Gauvreau, Maxime Gauvreau et les autres reprendront la lute de plus belle. On pourrait également assister à une visite inattendue du retraité multiple-champion Steve Ladouceur qui sortirait de sa retraite en acceptant l'invitation de Benoît Ayotte à piloter la voiture #17.
De leur côté, es pilotes Stéphane Caron, le Laval, Jocelyn Turcotte de Gatineau et les autres réguliers de la division Légende Modifiée sont fermement résolus à mettre un terme à la domination de l'ancien signaleur Stéphane Aubin, de Boisbriand, qui s'est encore illustré lors du dernier programme en remportant la finale de sa division.
En Grand Régional David Joseph, de Blainville, tentera de répéter son exploit de la dernière course en remportant la finale. Hani Chiniara, le # 64 de Ville St-Laurent est cependant déterminé à ne pas s'en laisser imposer. Pour sa part, le vétéran Claude Boucher, de Pierrefonds qui a subi une intervention chirurgicale au cours de la semaine devrait manquer à l'appel avec la voiture #48.
Le vétéran Pierre Duguay, de Deux-Montagnes et gagnant de la dernière finale en Challenge 4 avec sa voiture #31, qui semble être sortie de sa létargie y sera également pour affronter la meute de jeunes loups de la division de la relève, les Challenge 4 Meilleur Ramoneur.
Additionné à la finale de 100 tours de la Série Castrol ACT , de la présence des Rev Star et des 5 divisions locales de l'Autodrome St-Eustache, les amateurs de course devraient assister à tout un programme rempli d'action, ce samedi 1er juin.
Pour l'occasion, les puits ouvriront à 14h00 et le prix d'entrée a été fixé à 30$ pour les adultes, 15$ pour les 13 à 17 ans, tandis que les enfants de 12 ans et moins seront accueillis gratuitement, comme à l'accoutumée. Pour ce qui est des puits, le prix sera de 35$ pour les adultes et les 0-17 ans (une nouveauté) seront admis dans les puits pour la somme de 20$.

Ouverture de la saison 2013 de Champagne Motorsports
L'entre-saison semblait interminable mais finalement, la saison 2013 s'amorçait ce samedi 18 mai à l'Autodrome St-Eustache. Après avoir travaillé plusieurs heures pour préparer la voiture en vue de la première course, nous savions déjà que les performances de l'Acura Integra #11 allaient être meilleures que par le passé. |
Dans la qualification qui déterminait notre place de départ sur la grille, nous avons finalement bataillé pour une position avec une autre voiture, chose qui n'a pu être faite en 2012. Un léger problème d'adhérence qui fut réglé avant la finale nous a empêché de gagner des positions en qualification mais pendant la finale, tout s'est passé autrement! Partant de la 13e position, nous avons gagné deux positions en seulement 5 tours. Une tentative de dépassement ratée sur une autre voiture nous a envoyé dans les débris et la poussière près du mur du droit avant et une touchette avec le mur nous a fait retraiter aux puits avec une roue brisée mais un sentiment de devoir accompli vu le bon comportement de la voiture versus les déboires de 2012. Thunder Road @trspeedbowl to Host NASCAR Star Clint Bowyer to Race in VT Lottery Commission Governor’s Cup

Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials announced this morning that NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Clint Bowyer will be participating in the Vermont Lottery Commission Governor's Cup at Barre VT's Thunder Road on Thursday, July 11.
Bowyer, who currently sits fourth overall on the Sprint Cup Series, will pilot a Crazy Horse racing Toyota Camry in the 150-lap event. His car will be painted to match his #15 Michael Waltrip racing ride that he currently drives in NASCAR's top division.
"I think Clint Bowyer is about as 'old school' a racer as NASCAR has,'" said long-time Thunder Road Promoter Tom Curley. "To have guys like Tony Stewart and now Bowyer come to the Governor's Cup race at the "Nation's Site of Excitement" is a great thing for our fans and teams at Thunder Road," he finished.
Bowyer has captured 8 Sprint Cup victories since his rookie season in 2006 and over 200 wins and numerous championships in everything from Motocross to Modifieds. The 2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series Champion was runner-up to Brad Keselowski in last year's Sprint Cup title chase.
"I think he's one of a kind," said Thunder Road co-owner Ken Squier. "He's a top talent in auto racing, and he's got a lot of personality. I can't wait to see him duke it out on the high banks with our local guys," he finished.
The Vermont Lottery Commission Governor's Cup will roll on Thursday, July 11 at Barre's Thunder Road. Post time for the event is 6:00pm.

Theetge Debuts Super Late Model This Weekend
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – 5.16.13 For more information, visit CrazyHorseRacingParts.com SOUTH PARIS, Maine – For veteran Late Model racer Donald Theetge, reaching out to a good friend for a little help made perfect sense. “The first time we made a deal together was in 2008,” Theetge said of the first time he met Crazy Horse Racing owners Mitch and Judy Green. “Mitch was at Thunder Road with a new chassis, and I decided in wintertime to build a brand new car. I had a good friendship with Mitch and Judy, so I went to them and in 2009 I won the championship on the ACT Castrol Series in that car. |
“We were quick all year, and Mitch came here (to Quebec) for the last race of that season to help us win that championship. They've been a great help for us.” So when Autodrome Chaudiere – a track close to Theetge's Boischatel, Quebec, home – announced a three-race Super Late Model Triple Crown series with a hefty payday, Theetge turned again to Crazy Horse. Theetge will debut a brand new Crazy Horse Racing Super Late Model chassis for the first race of the Triple Crown series this Saturday, May 18. Theetge plans on bringing the car to Oxford Plains Speedway on Friday to shake it down before making the trip to Autodrome Chaudiere Saturday. “It's a new challenge for us,” said Theetge, a two-time ACT Castrol Series champion with a series-record 18 career wins. “(Chaudiere) is not far from our house, so we were thinking that we'd build a new PASS car. Haven't driven those cars in like 10 years. Last time I even practiced with a PASS car was in Unity, Maine, seven years ago, but the race at Montmagny was canceled so we didn't get to race it. “I'm excited to drive it at Vallee-Jonction. It's a track I know and love, and I know a lot of the guys we'll be in competition with.” Knowing the track isn't enough, and Theetge realizes it. With more than 35 cars pre-entered for the 150-lap event this weekend, qualifying alone will be difficult. It's why Theetge is happy to have support from Crazy Horse – which not only built the car this spring, but also plans to prepare and maintain it between races. Theetge is looking forward to having Mitch and Mickey Green's knowledge at his disposal. “I want to be right on the edge (of fast) with Mitch,” said Theetge, who said work and other racing commitments would have kept him from being able to field a Super Late Model completely on his own. “On the ACT Tour, we have experience and we are very fast. But this is a very different car. It was big for me that Mitch is going to prepare car with Mickey, who knows a lot of things from down South after working with Austin (Theriault).” The goals for the first round of the Triple Crown are modest, according to Theetge. With the third and final race of the series slated for August – and with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Busch entered in that August event – he'd like to learn enough about the car this weekend to be able to compete for a win later this summer at Chaudiere. “I saw my first PASS race at Chaudiere last year, and a lot of people can win those races,” Theetge said. “If we can qualify for the race and run in the Top-10 all day, that would be fine with us. “I want to learn how to race with (the PASS teams), and have them learn how to race with us, too. C’est LA soirée d’Alain Brochu, #12 chez les Pro-stock, un pilote granbyen de surcroît. Les Sportsman aussi prendront d’assaut le concept le 2 août 2013. Les Prostock vivront en nos lieux un moment décisif le 21 juin, car en plus d’évoluer dans les séries Mohawk et Dirtcar, une garantie de prendre le départ à Syracuse sera attribué au gagnant de la course. Les soirées tant appréciées qui désignent un monsieur Modifié, Prostock et Sportsman seront de retour respectivement les 14, 28 juin et le 23 août. Le 23 juillet, une des plus grosses soirées de l’histoire de l’autodrome Granby présentera une course Gros Blocs Dirtcar et une manche de la série Dirt Sportsman. Les turbulents ESS 360 nous rendront visite la dernière journée de mai et seront de retour avec la série Caoss le 23 août. Semblable à la série canadienne, la Can-Am Outlaw Sprint Serie est menée de main de maître par Jake Langlois, qui astucieusement les amène ici alors qu’ils sont à Brockville et Cornwall le même weekend. Howie Crowe Checks In at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for 2013

They’re always looking for an edge that will help them get to the front and once they’ve found something that works, it’s hard to get them to change a thing. Whether it’s parking in the same spot in the pit area or following another racer onto the track during practice, they’ll stick with whatever seems to have helped gain any level of success. |
Veteran runner Howie Crowe enjoyed a breakthrough 2012 season at Kawartha Speedway, finishing 2nd in the final point standings and was named the track’s most improved driver. Although the Fraserville oval won’t be operating this year, the Alderville First Nation speedster will join the ranks of the Bob’s Towing Thunder Car division at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Crowe says the reason behind moving to the half-mile oval north of Bowmanville, Ontario is easy to understand. “The car I used last year is the same piece Ken Donaldson Jr. steered to the 2011 track championship,” said Crowe. “Much of what I was able to accomplish was because of the help their family offered my team throughout the season. I’m looking forward to being part of the action at one of Canada’s best known motorsports facilities and working with the Donaldson team again this year.” Howie Crowe’s potent, basic black #28 Chevrolet Monte Carlo will enter the new campaign with sponsorship from long-time backers Crowe Brothers Roofing, Trail’s End, Custom Steering and Mayhew Graphics, with promotional support by Clarke Motorsports Communications. Even with his team’s alliance with the Donaldson’s, the driver says he knows he’ll have his hands full when it comes to unseating defending Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Thunder Car champion John Baker Jr. “I was there to watch a few times last season and when it comes to the Thunder Car division, that place is definitely the house that J.B.J. built,” admitted Donaldson with a smile. “Our team works hard in the shop and at the track, but you never know how things will turn out until the green flag waves. AUTODROME CHAUDIÈRE 2012 SÉRIE PASS NORTH UN NOUVEAU DÉCOR Plus que quelques heures avant la tombée officielle du drapeau vert tant attendu à Vallée-Jonction dans un tout nouveau décor pour cette première confrontation Pass Canada États-Unis en sol québécois. Tout au long de la Nouvelle-Angleterre et des provinces canadiennes, les amateurs de course se sont souvent questionnés à savoir quel pays avait les meilleurs coureurs sur courte piste en Amérique du Nord, les États-Unis ou le Canada? En 2013, l’Autodrome Chaudière de Vallée-Jonction pourrait être l'année où la question sera finalement répondue. |
Plusieurs des meilleurs coureurs du Canada dont les québécois Martin Latulippe, Alexandre Gingras, Patrick Laperle, Kevin Roberge, Marc André Cliché, Jean-François Déry, Karl Allard et Donald Theetge seront sur place. Matt Matheson, Lonnie Sommerville et Matt Harris du Nouveau-Brunswick et l’ontarien Brandon Watson seront en concurrence avec d'autres pilotes québécois comme Steve Côté, Alex Labbé et Eric St-Gelais. Le contingent américain sera dirigé par Johnny Clark et Ben Rowe. Le champion de l'an dernier, Travis Benjamin, largement considéré comme l'un des meilleurs quand il s'agit de courses au Canada se joint à eux. Grâce à deux courses jusqu'ici, Joey Doiron, Cassius Clark, et DJ Shaw ont dominé les manchettes et tenteront de poursuivre sur leur lancée. Trevor Sanborn, Derek Ramstrom, Kelly Moore, Aaron Ricker, Scott Mulkern, et Richie Dearborn regardent également pour une victoire en début de saison. Les pilotes du Maine Michael Landry, Corey Bubar, Curtis Gerry, et le Tchad Dow seront également de la partie. Avec aux alentours de 30 pilotes en piste, les qualifications net consolations si nécessaire seront d’une importance capitale. Au même programme la Série Procam Super Truck fait un retour à l’Autodrome Chaudière et pour leur 1ière sortie de la saison, le sympathique et toujours souriant Marc Bégin de St-Philibert fait un retour en piste. Il sera au volant de la voiture #40. Les classes Kamikaze Oricom, Sport Compacte Oricom et Limité FM 101.3 complètent cette ouverture tant attendue. Le public est admis dans les estrades à compter de 13h00. Les semi finales des classes locales débutent à 17h45 et le programme principale à 18h30. HUGO VANNINI EST PRÊT POUR LE DÉUT DE SAISON
Pour diffusion immédiate Série Nascar Canadian Tire (Repentigny, QC) –Après avoir terminé au troisième rang en ce qui concerne le classement des pilotes québécois en 2012 après Louis-Philippe Dumoulin et Martin Roy et 15e au nombre des 59 pilotes qui ont pris part à au moins une course,, Hugo Vannini, le pilote de l’équipe VTi Motorsports est prêt pour entamer une autre saison dans la prestigieuse série NASCAR Canadian Tire. Le lever de rideau de ce championnat canadien aura lieu sur le circuit routier de la piste Canadian Tire Motorsport Park en Ontario, dimanche prochain. |
Le clan Vannini a profité d’une journée d’essais libres à ce tracé ontarien à la fin d’avril afin de vérifier tout le travail effectué sur les deux voitures de l’équipe durant la saison hivernale. « Nous n’étions pas là pour tenter d’améliorer le record du tour de piste, mais bien pour vérifier notre travail de l’hiver dernier. Nous avons obtenu des chronos très respectables lors de cette journée et on a décelé quelques points à corriger, dont certains ajustements» de dire celui qui est un pilote très apprécié des responsables de la série. Il a poursuivi en ces termes : « Cette saison, toute l’équipe aimerait bien se retrouver parmi les dix premiers au cumulatif de la série. Il ne faut pas se leurrer et rêver à un podium. Nous n’avons pas les ressources matérielles et financières des équipes de pointe et il est clair que pour les membres de VTI Motorsports que nous devons être réalistes. Cette série a besoin d’équipes comme nous pour survivre. Çà prend des premiers, mais aussi de véritables amants de cette discipline pour former un peloton relevé et professionnel. L’équipe est composée de passionnés de cette discipline et tant que nous éprouvons du plaisir à faire ce que nous faisons, nous serons là de dire», Hugo Tout comme l’an dernier, avec un budget privé et limité, on vise une participation à neuf épreuves du championnat. Pour l’instant, il n’est pas question d’aller dans l’Ouest du Canada, car les déplacements sont très onéreux.
