JOHNSTON, Iowa (Feb. 12, 2025) – The highly anticipated NASCAR Powerball Playoff™ is back for its third edition, offering lottery players a chance to win an exclusive trip to 2025 NASCAR Championship Weekend™ and cash prizes up to $1 MILLION!

Powerball® and NASCAR® announced the return of the national promotion today, which will run alongside the 2025 NASCAR season. The promotion will culminate with four lottery players winning a VIP trip for two to 2025 NASCAR Championship Weekend™ at Phoenix Raceway®, Oct. 31 – Nov. 2. In addition, the four lottery players will have the chance to win $1 million in a special drawing televised live on NBC before the start of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race™.

"This promotion offers our players the ultimate motorsport experience, combining the excitement of NASCAR Championship Weekend with the chance of a lifetime to win $1 million," said Matt Strawn, Powerball Product Group Chair and Iowa Lottery CEO. "The four finalists and their guests will be flown to Phoenix to be immersed in the action, including pace car rides, access to exclusive areas, and front-row seats to some of the biggest NASCAR races."

"This promotion has been such a great avenue to further engage NASCAR fans all across the country over the past two seasons," said Michelle Byron, NASCAR Executive Vice President, Chief Partnership and Licensing Officer. "The synergies the Powerball Playoff has with the different stages of the NASCAR Playoffs allows for increased excitement and anticipation throughout the year, culminating with someone winning $1 million right before we crown a champion in Phoenix."

Lottery players can enter the national Powerball® promotion through a participating state lottery. Lotteries will hold in-state contests and second-chance drawings throughout the 2025 NASCAR regular season to form a national pool of entrants. Entry periods and method of entry will vary by lottery. At the end of the NASCAR regular season, 16 semi-finalists will be drawn from the national pool to advance to the Powerball Playoff drawings, with no more than one semi-finalist per lottery advancing.

The Powerball Playoff drawings are a series of elimination drawings that mirror the elimination rounds of the NASCAR Playoffs™. As the 2025 playoff field of drivers is reduced, Powerball will reduce its playoff field of semi-finalists eligible to win the $1 million grand prize. Through a series of drawings, the field of semi-finalists will be reduced from 16 to 12 to 8 to 4 – with the remaining four finalists winning a VIP trip for two to the NASCAR Championship Weekend™ at Phoenix Raceway and entry into the $1 million drawing.

The results of each Powerball Playoff drawing will be revealed during select race broadcasts, beginning with the Round of 16 announcement on Aug. 23 at the NASCAR regular-season finale at Daytona International Speedway. Cash prizes will be awarded to all 16 national semi-finalists based on their elimination position, ranging from $2,500 to the $1 million top prize:

Track Licenses Available as 2025 Season Looms at Airborne Park; Gate Fees, Season Pass Prices Announced

PLATTSBURGH, Ny. -- The 2025 season will be here before you know it in the North Country. The 71st in the history of the Airborne Park Speedway is expected to be bigger and better than 2024 as Mike and Alayne Bruno settle into their roles leading Airborne Park into the future for the second year of a five-year lease signed in October of 2023.

It was recently announced that the speedway will once again be under DirtCar sanction in 2025. It was also announced that pro stocks, limited sportsman, crown vic's and 500cc mini sprints would all be making more laps at Airborne in 2025, and now the gate fees and other important pieces of the 2025 puzzle are being released.

While the schedule is not yet released in full, there are some details about it that are known. The 2025 season opener at Airborne Park will be held on Sunday, April 13 with a 2PM start time. A more-than-full day of racing awaits the region's best 358 modified, sportsman, limited sportsman, renegade, mini stock and crown vic drivers, and of course some of the most devoted race fans.

The following Saturday, April 19, the Sprint Cars of New England will begin their season in Plattsburgh. The 358 DirtCar Series and Sportsman will be center stage on Thursday May 22nd and the (STSS) Short Track Super Series will invade the following week on Thursday May 29th. Thursday and Saturday nights will still be the primary race nights throughout 2025 despite the opening Sunday show. Twenty-two events are planned for the season.

Season passes for the 2025 season at Airborne Park are available now. General admission season passes are $300 and for an extra $50, fans will receive a reserved seating star to keep the same seat all year long! Pit passes can be bought for the entire season as well and are offered at $500 for members. Memberships are available now, too. An Airborne Park Speedway license is required for racing and gets members a $10 discount at the pit window at the majority of events in 2025. Weekly pit admission will be $30 for members and $40 for non-members. Pit member license prices vary based on driver/crew status and division, but the best rates for all licenses are only offered until March 1, 2025. Prices go up $25 after March 1. Wally Wilson Heads Into 2025 on the Momentum of a Multi-Win Season

Wally Wilson Heads Into 2025 on the Momentum of a Multi-Win Season
By Jim Clarke, Clarke Motorsports Communications/First Draft Media
Whatever the stage, a weekly short track racer will never forget their first career main event win.
After advancing through the Outlaw Midget ranks, Wally Wilson scored a pair of OSCAAR Modified feature victories during last year's schedule. It may have taken him a while, but the 27-year-old racer from Owen Sound, Ontario is hoping for another strong season when his next campaign takes its first green flag.
"Being able to finally park it in victory lane was a great experience and I'm very thankful to everyone who helped to make it happen," explained Wally Wilson. "The fans, family members and friends who've supported me over the years don't get enough credit for the team's success. It was great to celebrate both victories with so many wonderful people and I can't wait to meet them all in the winner's circle again."
Heading into an ambitious 2025 schedule, Wally Wilson and his team face an itinerary that could see them log as many miles on the provincial highways as their laps on the racetrack. From his Grey Bruce home base, he'll kick-off the year with a Saturday, May 17th date in his No. 69 Mod at Sunset Speedway and follow it up with the Friday, May 23rd season-opener at Delaware Speedway, near London, Ontario. After finishing 4th in last year's standings, Wilson will once again follow the OSCAAR Modified Series events, starting Saturday, May 31st at Flamboro Speedway.
"It looks like our team will be doing a lot of racing this year and it wouldn't be possible without the crew that keeps everything together," said Wally Wilson. "Nate, Paul and I log some long hours in the shop and at the track and I'm thankful to them for all the hard work, time and effort it takes to get the car to the track and make every show."
Wally Wilson and the No. 69 crew would like to thank Fyre Place & Patio Shop, www.have1.com and Napoleon for being part of the team's program heading into the 2025 season. Like most teams on the provincial motorsports landscape, Wally Wilson Racing is actively seeking additional sponsorship support for its efforts. For details and a copy of the team's marketing prospectus, contact wallywilsonracing@gmail.com.
The driver and team welcome your support behind the scenes and at the track. Keep up to date with their performance through the 2025 season at www.facebook.com/wallywilson69.

Comcast Renews Partnership with NASCAR, Extends Xfinity Series Title Sponsorship

New "Xfinity Fastest Lap" Feature to Impact Competition Across All Three NASCAR Series

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 4, 2025) — NASCAR and Comcast today announced the renewal of their decade-long partnership, with Comcast continuing its role as both a Premier Partner of the NASCAR Cup Series and title sponsor of the Xfinity Series. The Comcast and NASCAR relationship began in 2014 and the collaboration between the two companies has significantly contributed to the sport's growth and fan engagement. The Premier Partnership has been renewed for multiple years with the Xfinity Series title sponsorship being extended for one year.

New to the sport starting in 2025, race fans can look forward to the "Xfinity Fastest Lap," a program that awards one race point to the eligible driver and owner with the fastest single lap in each race, adding extra intensity and strategy to the competition. This new feature will be part of all three national series — NASCAR Cup Series™, NASCAR Xfinity Series™ and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series™ — enhancing the competitive landscape and fan experience.

"We're not just entering year 11 of our partnership. We're embarking on year one of a renewed relationship with NASCAR filled with fresh energy and exciting opportunities to enhance the competition on the track in a way that has never been done before, and continue to connect with fans in new and engaging ways," said Matt Lederer, Vice President of Brand Partnership & Engagement at Comcast.

Comcast is expanding its NASCAR partnership to include more of its connectivity and entertainment brands – Xfinity Mobile and Xumo. Xfinity Mobile is joining the partnership as an Official Wireless Partner of NASCAR. Xumo, Comcast's and Charter's streaming platform joint venture, will become an Official Video and Streaming Partner of NASCAR, with plans to offer its customers immersive viewing experiences and unique content.

"NASCAR is incredibly appreciative of Comcast's continued partnership and their commitment to innovation and fan engagement within our sport," said Michelle Byron, Executive Vice President and Chief Partnership and Licensing Officer at NASCAR. "Their contributions over the past decade, from enhancing the fan experience to supporting community initiatives, have been invaluable. We look forward to building on the success of our partnership during the 2025 season and beyond."

Comcast's commitment to NASCAR extends beyond the track and is woven into its activations. From the title sponsorship of the Xfinity 500 to the Comcast Community Champion of the Year program, which recognizes individuals within the NASCAR community who demonstrate exceptional dedication to philanthropic endeavors, Comcast has consistently championed the sport and its values. This program underscores Comcast's commitment to social responsibility and its alignment with NASCAR's values of community engagement.
