CHARLOTTE, NC (October 5) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials announced today the release of the 2015 schedule for the PASS South Super Late Models. The 10^thAnniversary season for the South's top short track series will be highlighted by the return of stock car racing to the triangular shaped, half-mile Concord Speedway on Memorial Day weekend and by the move of the Mason Dixon Meltdown to the legendary Hickory Motor Speedway for the first time in series history. With 15 dates confirmed and an additional date to possibly be added in September, the PASS South Super Late Models will compete at 11 different venues over the course of the 2015 season.

"We are very pleased to be able to release our 2015 PASS South Super Late Model schedule at such an early date and hope that will help our fans and competitors as they prepare for next season," said PASS President Tom Mayberry. "We're very excited and honored that the PASS South Super Late Models will be bringing new life to Concord Speedway on Memorial Day weekend. Additionally, Hickory Motor Speedway has been at the heart of the series since it started in 2006 and we look forward to capping off our 10^th Anniversary season there in November. All in all, we've got a great group of tracks returning to the schedule next year and are excited for the possibilities."

For the fifth time in the last seven years, the 2015 PASS South Super Late Model season will kickoff on Saturday, March 7th with the 10^th Annual South Carolina Clash at Dillon Motor Speedway. The series will then travel north on Interstate 95 for the first of three PASS South Super Late Model events to be hosted by Southern NationalMotorsports Park in Lucama, NC on Saturday, March 21. The series will return to Southern National again on Saturday, July 18, while the Fall race at the 4/10 mile speedway will move up to Saturday, September 27.

Hickory Motor Speedway, the longest tenured facility on the PASS South circuit, will also host two of the premier events in short track racing in 2015. The 10^th Annual Easter Bunny 150 will bring some of the best racers in North America together again on Saturday, April 4. And, for the first time since its inception, championships will be decided on Saturday, November 21 when the 10^th Annual Mason Dixon Meltdown 200 lap event moves to Hickory Motor Speedway in 2015.

Two of the premier short track facilities in the South will rejoin the PASS South Super Late Model schedule in 2015. Myrtle Beach Speedway will host the series on Saturday, April 25 and Anderson Motor Speedway returns to the schedule for the first time since 2012 for the Electric City 125 on Friday, June 19.

An event sure to attract the attention of racers and fans alike will be the PASS South Super Late Model return to Concord Speedway on Saturday, May 23. The famed half-mile, known for its legendary Big 10 Series, has sat quite since PASS South held the Mason Dixon Meltdown there in 2012. Nearly three years later, the speedway will come to life again on Memorial Day Weekend 2015.

South Boston Speedway will again host two popular weekends of racing that see the PASS South Late Models on a stout racing card coupled with Twin 75's for the NASCAR Late Model Stocks and Legends cars on June 6 and August 15.

Greenville-Pickens Speedway, which first began hosting stock car events in 1946 and was once a hotbed for Super Late Model racing, will again host the Firecracker 125 on Friday, July 3. That event successfully returned to Greenville-Pickens in 2014 after originally being held there from 2008-2010.

Orange County Speedway, a favorite of many PASS South Super Late Model competitors, returns for a tenth straight year with the Orange Blossom Special on October 17. And, Caraway Speedway will welcome the PASS South Super Late Models back on Saturday, November 7 as part of the North-South Shootout along with the Tour-type Modifieds.

Look for schedules for the PASS North Super Late Models, PASS Modifieds, PASS Sportsman and PASS Pro Late Models to be released in the near future.

And, don't forget, the biggest short track race on asphalt has a new date in 2015. The 42^nd Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Maine will take the green on Sunday, August 30, 2015, paying $25,000 to the winner plus lap leader bonus money.

The Pro All Stars Series is recognized as North America's premier sanctioning body for asphalt Super Late Models and boasts such marquee events as the legendary Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway, PASS South's Easter Bunny 150 at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway, and the La Qubecoise Triple Crown at Autodrome Chaudiere. Barre, VT – The 52^nd running of the People's United Bank Milk Bowl at Thunder Road in Barre, VT has been postponed due to forecasted rain. The entire weekend schedule from Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 5 has been postponed and rescheduled for Friday, October 10 through Sunday, October 12.

"The Milk Bowl is a two-day show and with the weather looking like a complete washout for Saturday's qualifying and lingering showers Sunday morning, the integrity of the biggest race of the season is jeopardized if we try to make it a one-day show," announced Thunder Road Co-Owner and Promoter Tom Curley.

Over 40 American Canadian Tour Late Model teams are expected to be in attendance for the biggest race of the season rescheduled for next weekend. Drivers from all over the Northeast as well as the province of Quebec will battle for a spot on the Milk Bowl granite monument and a kiss from a Vermont bovine beauty queen. The Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen and Allen Lumber Street Stocks will also be in action as they finish off their 2014 point battles.

Camping will open at 9:00am on Friday, October 10 and there will be a closed Late Model only practice during the day. Saturday, October 11 will see the Booth Brothers/H.P. Hood Qualifying Day. The weekend will be capped off with the $10,000-to-win 52^nd Annual People's United Bank Milk Bowl on Sunday, October 12. Front gates open at 10am on both Saturday and Sunday with adult general admission just $30 for a two-day ticket, $25 for Sunday only or $10 for Saturday only. Kids ages 12 and under are free for both days.

Waterbury, VT – The latest entry in the People's United Bank Milk Bowl, to be held on Sat-Sun, October 04-05, 2014 at Thunder Road in Barre, VT, is Austin Theriault from Fort Kent, Maine. Theriault began his Late Model racing career with the American Canadian Tour (ACT) in 2010 as a sixteen-year-old rookie. Just like newly crowned 2014 ACT Champion, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr, from Hudson, NH, Theriault helped set the standard for the new younger generation of ACT racers in the Northeast.

Theriault has spent the last two years running in the Super Late Model division in the Southeast and Midwest. He took an opportunity with BKR (NASCAR star Brad Keslowski development program) in 2013, and saw tremendous success. In 2014, Theriault was contracted by JR Motorsports, headed by Dale Earnhardt Jr., to race in the second tier division of NASCAR, the Nationwide Series. He competed at Iowa Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway and most recently at the Kentucky Motor Speedway. He had outstanding results with 15th, 21st and 18th place finishes respectively.

He also got to compete with many of the top stars of NASCAR in their second highest premiere division. Also, in his first race with the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA), Austin won the race on the two-mile Michigan International Speedway this past summer. He finished third in the season long standings in 2012 on the American Canadian Tour; he won the 150 lap race at the Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in his home state of Maine in August of 2012.

"I really want to win the Milk Bowl at Thunder Road. Ever since my first Milk Bowl race in 2010 it has been a goal of mine. It really was one of the toughest and most fun races during my years with ACT. After being away for a couple of years, I know it will be a challenge, especially at Thunder Road, which is unlike any other track I have been to. I know there are lots of new teams since my days with ACT, but it will still feel like sort of a homecoming for me. I can't wait," said Theriault.

Theriault will race the RGR car driven by regular ACT competitor Travis Stearns. He will team up with old crew chief Mickey Green from Crazy Horse Racing in So. Paris, ME. The RGR entry has come off two very strong back-to-back top ten showings, first at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway Bond Auto Invitational on September 20th with an 8th place finish, and last weekend at the Fall Foliage 200, the team finished 4th in a very competitive field. Owner of RGR, Rick Green said, "This is going to be a fun weekend at Thunder Road. When Travis had a wedding to attend over Milk Bowl weekend and Austin was available to drive the 16ME car, there was no question that this weekend will be intense and a lot of fun."

The weather forecast has begun to improve and officials from Thunder Road are hopeful that qualifying can be done Saturday afternoon. The forecast for Sundaycalls for a return to autumn weather with partial sunshine and temperatures in the mid 50's. "We are looking forward to having Austin with us this weekend. The weather seems to be improving and we feel confident that the 52nd annual Peoples United Bank Milk Bowl will not disappoint our fans. With the added attraction of Speed 51 TV picking the Milk Bowl for its new Pay-per-view program, we are looking forward to people across the country being able to watch what we expect to be one of the best runs for the Milk Bowl ever," said Thunder Road co-owner Tom Curley.

Camping will open for fans on Friday at 9am and campers must be off the grounds by noon on Monday, October, 6. Admission to the two day race is just $30 dollars for Saturday and Sunday, only $25 for Milk Bowl Sunday, and $10 for Saturday only qualifying. Saturday will feature triple 50 lap qualifiers for ACT Late Models, time trials for all three divisions and first segment 'mini milk bowls' for the Allen Lumber Street Stocks and Bond Auto Tiger divisions. Children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge both days. Gates will open at 10am and post time is 1:00 on Saturday and 12:30 for opening ceremonies on Sunday.

The goal of racing – especially at the weekly short track or touring series level – is to gain an advantage. Do everything you can behind the scenes and once the green flag waves to be better than the competition and finish toward the front of the field.

Sunday, September 28^th, Mike Beyore strapped into his OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Model looking for the best possible finish at Sunset Speedway. With 2 events remaining on the 2014 schedule, the driver known as "The Whitby Warrior" and his crew had put in some long, hard hours to make certain their piece was the best it could be for the 50 lap 'A' main that would be part of the track's Velocity Weekend event. With nearly 25 other teams hoping for the same result, the #54 bunch knew they'd have their work cut out for them.

"We had plenty of time to do our homework between the last show – Saturday, August 30^th – at Peterborough and today," said the driver, before climbing-in behind the wheel. "This car is as well prepared now as it was when turned our first laps of the year back in May. As a group, our confidence level has never been higher. We're ready to go."

Showing his words were more than just a casual boast, Mike Beyore backed-up his prediction with a pair of 4^th place efforts in the afternoon's qualifying events and the team performed only minor adjustments and a tire change before the second-generation speedster from Whitby, Ontario moved to the staging area and lined-up 11^th for the Super Late Model division's headline dance. Having a solid run from the middle of the pack is one thing, but getting to the front from the middle of the pack, while holding off the rest of the field coming-up from behind is another; as Beyore quickly discovered.

"A lot of early yellow flags made it difficult for anyone to settle-down and find a rhythm," admitted Beyore. "We'd get nicely up to speed, run a few laps and pick-up a spot or 2, and then have to slow down for a caution. I was hoping for a long period of green flag racing, but it just wasn't meant to be."

As the lap counter clicked-off 22 circuits complete, the yellow flag flew yet again and this time, the #54 car was involved. Beyore took the machine to the pit area to have the crew look things over, but there was an issue with the rear end – later diagnosed as a broken left axle – that forced the team out of the race, with a 19^th place effort in the final rundown. Even with the tough finish, Beyore is still less than 20 points away from 6^th in the final standings and within 70 markers of cracking the top 5.

"Not the result we'd hoped for, but the season is winding down and you have to be ready for just about anything. We're a strong bunch and we'll bounce back."

The Sunset Speedway experience wasn't a positive one for the #91N OSCAAR Modified of Max Beyore. After winning a heat race early in the day, he was knocked out of action while scrubbing tires on the pace lap of his next qualifier and couldn't start the feature.

Next on the schedule for the OSCAAR Super Late Models is the 2014 season wrap-up at Peterborough Speedway for the Autumn Colours Classic, October 11^th and 12^th.

SOUTH PLATTSBURGH – Airborne Park Speedway has postponed this Saturday's Liquor & Wine Warehouse Modified Racing Series event and rescheduled it for this Sunday, September 7 – 1 p.m.

Track officials cited the goal of having the traveling series competitors and fans avoid the possibility of wet conditions today.

The Liquor & Wine Warehouse/Bimbo Bakeries USA race card includes final championship point races for four Airborne divisions and a 50-lap Northern Modified Series Challenge event for NASCAR Sportsman Modifieds.

Communiqué #34 Pour diffusion immédiate Titre : 150 tours pour la série Dirtcar Mod-358 en sol québécois. Autodrome Granby, Québec - Toute une fin de semaine en perspective à l'Autodrome Granby. Vendredi et samedi 5 et 6 septembre, nous aurons la visite de la série Dirtcar Modifié 358 et le lendemain des Modifiés Gros-blocs. Les STR aussi seront de passage pour deux soirs de course sur notre grande piste. Vendredi 5 septembre Modifiés Petits blocs (150 tours) La dernière course de la série Mod-358 a été remportée par Carey Terrance lundi le 1er septembre à Cornwall. Il a ainsi frappé une pierre deux coups : de 10ème à 2ème dans la série Dirt et le titre de champion de la piste de Cornwall. Pour Mario Clair #22, la série Dirt se jouait avec Érick Rudolph #25 premier devant lui dans la série avant la finale de Cornwall. Rudolph a mené 110 tour sur 125 avant que Terrance ne le dépasse. 8 tours plus tard un retardataire a percuté Rudolph. Cet accident l'a relégué dernier. Mario se battait avec sa voiture probablement brisée et capricieuse sur la piste glissante. Clair et Rudolph finiront respectivement 11ème et 12ème, ce qui n'est pas suffisant pour Clair qui avait 77 points d'écart à rattraper derrière Rudolph. Clair est désormais troisième dans la série derrière Terrance et Rudolph, champion 2013 de la série. Après plusieurs voyages, c'est au tour de Mario Clair #22 de recevoir à sa piste maison pour tenter de nouveau de rejoindre le sommet du classement de la série Dirt. Ryan Arbuthnot #R70 ancien Sportsman depuis deux ans en Modifié présentement 4ème au classement risque fort bien de venir. Lance Willix #16 5ème au classement de la série Mod-358 après une visite à Granby et une au RPM sera de retour à Granby ce vendredi. Sportsman (50 tours) Bruno Cyr pilote habituel du #33 en Prostock sera à bord du Sportsman #2C, la deuxième voiture de Martin Lessard qu'il a conduit déjà à deux reprises à Drummond. Cyr a terminé les deux fois sur le tour des meneurs : au 25 tours du 28 juin, 19ème et au 50 tours du 30 août, 14ème. La recrue de l'année avec sa quatrième place au classement de l'Autodrome Drummond, Étienne Cournoyer #18 sera aussi présent. STR (20 tours) Maxime #79 et Josianne Plante #97, au risque de se répéter, sont toujours dominants au classement de la série en première et deuxième place devant Francis Méthot #55 qui compte trois podiums à son actif cette saison. Ici Maxime possède l'avantage d'avoir couru sur la piste à bord d'un Sportsman vendredi dernier. Maxime possède le double de victoires de sa soeur qui a marqué les deux premières victoires de sa vie en 2014. Samedi 6 septembre Les malabars de la série Gros-blocs Dirtcar investissent la piste de Granby ce samedi 6 septembre 2014. Modifiés Gros blocs (100 tours) Matt Sheppard #9H qui a terminé quatrième lors de leur dernière visite voudra faire mieux puisqu'il mène la série avec seulement 18 points sur Billy Decker qui lui avait fini deuxième ici derrière Danny Johnson. Ce dernier ne suit cependant pas la série. Le gentilhomme Brett Hearn #20 est présentement troisième au championnat. Sous de charmants airs, il est à redouter, lui qui a terminé sur le podium de Granby en juillet. Jimmy Phelps #98H, le compatriote de Sheppard à leur piste locale Brewerton est en quatrième position de la série, il avait justement terminé derrière Sheppard à leur dernier passage ici. Enfin, le jeune Larry Wight qui avait laissé la course ici après 41 tours doit se reprendre pour garder sa cinquième place au championnat. Yan Bussière qui a été le meilleur Québécois lundi à Cornwall en terminant quatrième dans le 125 tours petit bloc tentera sa chance avec cette même voiture performante parmi les gros-blocs. Certains pilotes qui possèdent un petit et un gros bloc seront de la partie les deux soirs. Tel est le cas de Steve Bernard #54 qui a remporté le championnat de Drummondville avec des bris mécaniques à sa dernière course. Son équipe doit donc réparer la voiture munie d'un petit bloc pour vendredi et préparer son gros bloc pour samedi. Enfin, Mario Clair #22C sortira le gros bloc du garage une dernière fois cette année, puisque seul le petit bloc courra à Syracuse. Si Bruno Lepage #99 avait prêté son gros-bloc à Stewart Friesen en juillet, il garde maintenant son précieux pour lui. Nous aurons le plaisir de le voir conduire celui-ci après avoir reçu les judicieux conseils de notre Friesen national. Prostock (30 tours) Stéphane Lemire #115 rapporte à la maison les grands honneurs. Il est le premier pilote régulier à Granby à être nommé champion de la série Mohawk, titre qu'il a confirmé avec sa deuxième place à Cornwall lundi dernier. Steve Chaput #38 qui a raté de près le titre de recrue de l'année à cause d'un accident qui lui a valu un absence voudra une fois de plus nous montrer ses talents. STR (20 tours) L'équipe de Yannick Mathieu m'a confié qu'il en serait probablement à leur dernière année de course en STR. Profitons-en pour le voir exécuter sa dernière finale à Granby. Après leurs deux courses chez nous, les STR seront ensuite du côté de Saint-Eustache le 14 septembre. Leur série se termine à Saint-Marcel le 19 septembre. L'Autodrome Chaudière de Vallée-Jonction, en Beauce, sera l'hôte de la 6e et l'avant-dernière course de la saison 2014 de l'ASCVQ qui se tiendra dans le cadre du «Langis-Caron 150». Cette course qui sera disputée par les pilotes de la Série Sportsman Lucas Oil a été nommée comme telle en l'honneur du célèbre pilote beauceron Langis Caron, une légende du stock car québécois qui a évolué au cours des années 70-80 sur les pistes du Québec parmi les meilleurs de son époque.

Langis Caron profite de sa retraite en s'amusant à compétitionner dans la série de stock-car Vintage Québec. Notre vétéran pilote de 72 ans s'est même permis 2 victoires au cours de la saison 2014, dont la toute dernière course disputée il y a deux semaines à Ste-Croix.

Les amateurs présents à l'Autodrome Chaudière ce vendredi auront donc la chance de voir évoluer le pilote de la voiture #35 en «live« lors des deux courses de l' ASCVQ qui font partie du programme de ce vendredi, qui, en cas de pluie, sera remis à dimanche le 7 septembre.

Les autres pilotes de l'ASCVQ qui seront sur place tenteront le tout pour le tout pour se mériter la victoire. On sait que seuls les Verner (2), Caron (2) et Rocheleau (1) ont eu accès à la première marche du podium en finale jusqu'à date en 2014.

C'est donc un rendez-vous vendredi à l'Autodrome Chaudière pour y voir encore une fois de l'action, du son et de la ''rod'', le tout imprégné d'un peu de nostalgie.

Quant à la dernière de la saison, c'est du côté de la capitale nationale, Ottawa, qu'elle sera tenue le 13 septembre prochain,

Avant-dernière étape de la saison 2014 en NASCAR Canadian Tire

Un Top-5 pour Tagliani à Barrie en Ontario lui permettrait de maintenir sa séquence sur pistes ovales

Montréal, 3 septembre 2014 - Alex Tagliani est de retour à Barrie, Ontario ce week-end, où il a inscrit en 2008 son meilleur résultat sur une piste ovale en Série NASCAR Canadian Tire (NCATS) avec une troisième place lors de sa seule visite à cet endroit. Le Wahta Springs 300, une épreuve de 300 tours ou 99,99 milles (160 km), sera couru sur cet ovale d'un tiers de mille ce samedi 6 septembre à 19 heures, heure de l'Est. Toutes les activités pour cette dixième et avant-dernière étape de la saison 2014 se dérouleront samedi.

Deux séances d'essais libres sont à l'horaire de la journée avec la première à 12 h 30 et la seconde à 13 h 45. L'unique qualification débutera à 16 h 45. Avec seulement deux courses à disputer cette saison, toutes les deux sur ovale, il y a fort à parier que le pilote de Lachenaie aimerait bien terminer la saison sur une bonne note, et le Barrie Speedway est l'endroit où commencer. En quatre départs en série sur ovale cette saison, Tagliani a décroché une pole (à Edmonton), et il s'est toujours qualifié parmi les six premiers. Sauf pour sa cinquième place en Saskatchewan en juillet, la saison de Tagliani a été plutôt en dents de scie.

« Il faut continuer d'y croire jusqu'à la fin de la saison, a déclaré Tagliani. Nous avons inscrit une position de tête et terminé cinquième cette saison sur ovale court cette année. La voiture a toujours été compétitive, mais à part d'être malchanceux, parfois en course, et victime d'ennuis mécaniques surtout sur les circuits routiers, tout pourrait aller mieux !!! Nous avons toujours bon espoir de placer la Dodge numéro 18 EpiPen/Dicom Express/Sennheiser/CanTorque de l'équipe Tagliani Autosport dans le top 5 à l'arrivée à Barrie afin de maintenir notre fiche cette saison sur ce type de circuit. »

Chacune des six dernières courses du NCATS à Barrie depuis l'automne 2008 a vu un pilote différent parader dans le cercle des vainqueurs, et c'est dans cette optique que Tagliani abordera la course ce week-end.

Les amateurs pourront suivre le déroulement du Wahta Springs 300 en provenance de la piste ovale du Barrie Speedway en Ontario à partir de 19 heures samedi sur le site de la série Canadian Tire auhttp://hometracks.nascar.com/ncats_race-central_083114_CTMP. Les essais en après-midi, tout comme la qualification de samedi à 16 h 45, seront également affichés sur le site de la série.

À la télé
Le réseau RDS2 présentera le jeudi 18 septembre à 20 h, le Pinty's presents The Clarington 200 disputé dimanche dernier à Mosport. Puis, le jeudi 25 septembre à 20 h, les amateurs pourront suivre le déroulement de la course disputée ce samedi sur l'ovale d'un tiers de mille de Barrie.

Only Third Title Sponsor of the Series 'Where Names Are Made'

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. and PHILADELPHIA (SEPTEMBER 3, 2014) — NASCAR and Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK) announced today a historic agreement that will make Comcast's XFINITY brand the title sponsor of what is now known as the NASCAR Nationwide Series through 2024. The 10-year term matches the longest single agreement around title sponsorship of any NASCAR national series in history, and is the longest entitlement sponsorship agreement in this series' history.

Beginning January 1, 2015, the property will be known as the NASCAR XFINITY Series. XFINITY will become only the third title sponsor in series history following Anheuser-Busch (26 years) and Nationwide Insurance (seven years). The agreement also makes XFINITY an Official NASCAR Partner in the multichannel video programming distributor (MVPD) and broadband ISP categories.

The announcement was made during an event at the NASCAR Hall of Fame – where the sport's history is celebrated every day – and was the first series entitlement sponsorship ever announced at the venue.

XFINITY is Comcast's residential service brand and is the nation's largest video and high-speed Internet provider. The company has increased Internet speeds for existing customers 13 times in 12 years and recently introduced XFINITY on the X1 Entertainment Operating System. The company also offers XFINITY On Demand, the most robust video on demand platform in the world. Comcast serves business and residential customers in 39 states and Washington, D.C.

According to NASCAR Fan Engagement Tracker 2013 (commissioned by NASCAR and conducted by Toluna), NASCAR fans spend an average of four-and-a-half hours each week watching NASCAR on television and an additional two-and-a-half-hours each week following the sport on digital platforms.

XFINITY is among the premier sponsors in sports today and a robust sponsorship activation program is part of the new agreement with NASCAR, with aggressive planning already underway.

Comcast's involvement with NASCAR is expanding rapidly. In addition to the NASCAR XFINITY Series announced today, Comcast's NBC Sports unit will begin broadcasting NASCAR race events in July 2015.

After a successful seven-year run as series entitlement sponsor, Nationwide Insurance pivoted its marketing programs to become a NASCAR team sponsor next season. Nationwide also is the official auto, home, life and business insurance partner of NASCAR.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series will make its return to Richmond International Raceway for the Virginia529 College Savings 250 on September 5, and will be aired on ESPN2. NASCAR Hall of Famer to meet with fans at Rutland County track on September 14

WEST HAVEN, VT – NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Bobby Allison will make a long-awaited return to Devil's Bowl Speedway on Sunday, September 14, as he is honored as the Grand Marshal for the Mekkelsen RV Vermont 200 Championship Weekend. The celebrated leader of the "Alabama Gang" will be part of the festivities some 42 years after making his first appearance at the Rutland County track.

The 1983 champion and an 85-race winner on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Allison was in the middle of his legendary career when he made a stop at Devil's Bowl Speedway on July 16, 1972. Having already won the Trenton 300 in New Jersey earlier in the day, Allison was scheduled to compete in a Late Model race at Devil's Bowl that evening. The skies opened just as he arrived at the track, however, and the race was cancelled due to rain.

Though he retired from racing in 1988, Allison is still active behind the wheel – as a designated driver. The Vermont Governor's Highway Safety Program's "Designated Drivers are Legendary" campaign will visit Devil's Bowl for the Vermont 200 Weekend. Glen Fitzgerald, a race fan from Clarendon, VT, took a pledge at the track earlier this season to always drive sober or use a sober designated driver, and was chosen to have Allison as his "designated driver" for the day on Sunday, September 14. Fitzgerald and Allison will arrive at Devil's Bowl by limousine for the start of the races on Sunday. Allison will also serve as the Grand Marshal for the event and will greet fans during an autograph session.

The Mekkelsen RV Vermont 200 Championship Weekend is a two-day racing extravaganza filled with non-stop action. The weekend opens with first-round qualifying for the track's Modified, Renegade, and Mini Stock divisions, the annual Non-Winner Shootouts, and qualifying and a main event for the North East Mini Stock Tour, followed by a Saturday night party that includes a barbeque pig roast, a massive bonfire, and free weekend camping. Main events will be held on Sunday and include finales for the Vermont State Late Model Championship Series and all four regular NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions.

Two-day general admission is just $25 for adults and free for children age 12 and under. The Saturday-only ticket is $10, while the Sunday-only ticket is $20. Two-day pit area admission is $40 and includes admission to the Saturday night party. Grandstand gates open at 11:00 a.m. with racing at 1:30 p.m. on both days.

LES DEUX PLUS GROS SHOW DE L'ANNÉE!

Après la venue de Kyle Busch qui fut l'attraction de l'année en course automobile au Québec, l'Autodrome Chaudière conclue sa programmation régulière par un doublé de haut calibre que l'on peut qualifier sans prétention des deux plus gros SHOW au Québec.

VENDREDI 5 SEPTEMBRE 18H30 : Roberge à Surveiller…

La fin de semaine débute par «LE LANGIS CARON SPORTSMAN 150 HABITATIONS DANY LAGACÉ» avec les meilleurs pilotes de la Série Sportsman Québec. Seulement quarante-huit (48) points entre la première et la cinquième position. Qui de Philippe Poulin, Dominic Jacques, Steve Lesage, Gerry Bilodeau et Louis-Philippe Labrecque remportera ce championnat fin de saison? C'est leur dernière course de la saison et ne l'auront pas facile, car les non réguliers comme Kevin Roberge qui a remporté la dernière course invitation le 22 août dernier, Sébastien Mercier et Tony Côté qui est toujours un des plus rapides à Vallée vont tout mettre en œuvre pour gravir la 1^ière marche du podium avec le 2000$ qui s'y rattache. Il y a également 4000$ à distribuer aux différents meneurs de cette finale de 150 tours.

Au même programme la Série Procam SuperTruck, Les Vintage, Kamikaze, Limité et Sport Compacte.

SAMEDI 6 SEPTEMBRE 17H30 : Tyller Dippel à Surveiller

S'enchaîne le samedi avec le «THUNDER VALLEY PASS NATIONAL 200 AUTOBUS LA QUÉBÉCOISE» pour la 3^ième tranche de la Triple Couronne PASS NORTH. Nous verrons alors tous les meilleurs pilotes des Séries Pass Nord et Sud. Donc la même course pour trois championnat : Triple Couronne Pass North, Pass North et National.

Du côté américain les Shaw, Clark, Rowe, Benjamin, Doiron, Luce, Gerry et Cie seront tous sur place et du côté sud à surveiller les deux merveilles de l'heure au championnat National, les jeunes Tyller Dippel et Tate Fogleman, respectivement 1^er et 3^ième au classement et âgés tous les deux de seulement 14 ans.

Du côté québécois à surveiller la voiture # 16 de Kevin Roberge qui sans un bris mécanique aurait certainement occupé une marche sur le podium lors de la venue de Kyle Busch. «Des correctifs ont été apportés et nous j'entrevois cette course avec confiance» de déclarer Roberge.

A ne pas négliger également les Labbé, Latulippe, Theetge, Lavoie, Poulin, Laperle, St-Gelais, Gingras, Allard, Duchesneau et autres.

Au même programme, Procam, Kamikaze, Limité et Sport Compacte qui en seront tous à leur dernière course pour le championnat.

Donc deux programmes à ne pas manquer. Pour le grand public, l'accès aux gradins se fait vendredi le 5 septembre à compter de 16h00 et à 13h00 pour samedi le 6 septembre.

La conclusion du Championnat aura lieu à l'autodrome Chaudière ce vendredi et ce samedi 5 et 6 septembre 2014 !

Plus de 20 camions ont déjà confirmé leur présence.

La lutte au championnat est très relevée et tout va se jouer ce weekend !

Chaque pilote devait retrancher sa moins bonne performance jusqu'à présent, ce qui a pour effet de chambarder le classement !

Présentement c'est le #92 de Joey Ladouceur qui est en tête suivi de très près par le #422 de Marc-Antoine Demers. Alors que 5 points séparent les deux premiers, le #77 de Charles Harvey n'est qu'à 3 points du #422 ! Le #72 de Steve Lavigne et le #91 de Jimmy Roy complètent le top 5 mais ils sont menacés par le #37 de Dany Gariépy et le #99 de Patrice Gingras !

Des nouveaux !

Stéphane Lecours, ancien pilote Limité et LMS fera ses débuts ce weekend. Il a récemment fait l'achat d'un camion et il sera à surveiller sur cette piste qu'il connaît très bien.

Vendredi, Martin Horik sera à bord du camion #1 des restaurants Valentine et Pascal Ste-Marie de Viau Ford prendra sa place pour la course de samedi.

La finale de 40 tours de vendredi vous est présentée par JASS Racing alors que la finale de la saison sera présentée par Bocar.ca, les distributeurs de produit d'esthétique automobile au Québec.

Comme toujours les pilotes de la série Procam Super Truck offrent un excellent spectacle et la conclusion du Championnat 2015 sera assurément haute en couleur !

Qui sera le nouveau Champion ?

Ladouceur ? Lui qui en est à sa première saison sur l'asphalte !

Demers ? Qui a été dominant et constant toute la saison !

Harvey ? Qui après un début de saison difficile, revient en force avec des victoires !

Les paris sont ouverts ! Et c'est à l'autodrome Chaudière que nous connaitrons le dénouement ! Soyez-y !
