Airborne Named DIRTcar Northeast “Track of the Year”

Verona, NY – Airborne Speedway received the inaugural VP Racing Fuels “Track of the Year” Award during the 34th Annual DIRTcar Northeast “Night of Champions” Awards Banquet held November 14 at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino Events Center in Verona, New York.
VP Racing Fuels Eastern Regional Manager Jim Kelly made the presentation to Airborne promoter Mike Perrotte. “It is an honor to receive the first-ever VP Racing Fuels Track of the Year Award,” Perrotte said. “We’re very proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish. It’s gratifying to be acknowledged this way by the racing community.”
VP Racing Fuels is the official racing fuel of DIRTcar Racing and the Super DIRTcar Series. During its 30+ year history, VP Racing has developed nearly 70 unique top quality blends and fueled champions in many racing categories and classes. In addition to Super DIRTcar Series, World of Outlaws and DIRTcar Racing, VP is the Official Fuel of the National Hot Road Association (NHRA) Championship Drag Racing, International Hot Road Association (IHRA), American Drag Racing League (ADRL), American LeMans, Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) and more.
DIRTcar Northeast sanctioned 26 tracks divided into regions for the Big-Block Modified, 358-Modified and Sportsman classes in 2009. Regional Racing Series point funds rewarded the leading drivers in each class with total payouts totaling $39,425 for all nine open-wheel divisions.
Airborne Speedway will host a Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified event Tuesday, June 15, 2010.
