For Immediate Release
MPR – 20091130-1

Saint-Laurent, QC – Les Entreprises M.P. Roy Inc., a Canadian distributor and reseller of motorsports electronics equipment, announced today that they have expanded their agreement with the Lucas Oil Super Sportsman Quebec Series sanctioning body to become the Official and exclusive provider of communications and electronic scoring equipment for the series.

When Officials or teams use two-way radios to communicate between themselves or when drivers use one-way radio receivers to listen to instructions from Series’ Officials they will be using equipment provided by Les Entreprises M.P. Roy Inc.

In addition, as cars race around tracks at speeds averaging 100 mph in sub 15 seconds lap times, Officials will rely on an electronic timing and scoring system also provided by Les Entreprises M.P. Roy Inc. to score events.

“We’re proud to establish a new relationship with Les Entreprises M.P. Roy,” said André Poulin, President and co-director of competition of the Lucas Oil Super Sportsman Series. “Their customer service, accessibility and expertise have become widely known across the sport, and they carry only the best products in the industry at great prices. I know we can continue to count on them to serve our new needs like they did for the last three years.”

For the past three years Les Entreprises M.P. Roy Inc., an authorized dealer for Racing Electronics of Concord, North Carolina and Innovative Spectator Products of Gainesville, Georgia, has been providing series official with Racing Electronics two-way radio systems and drivers with RACEceiver one-way radio receivers while sponsoring the Hard Charger Award.

At each of the Series’ feature races the driver who passed the most cars in the feature race receives the Hard Charger Award and a cash prize presented by Les Entreprises M.P. Roy Inc., contingent to proper display of the company’s decal.

“The Lucas Oil Super Sportsman Quebec Series has had tremendous growth over the last three years and we are proud to have been a partner since day one” said Marc Patrick Roy, President and CEO of Les Entreprises M.P. Roy Inc. “The use of electronic scoring and the introduction of two-way communications equipment for their newly created Elite driver division are yet other examples of how the André Poulin, his Officials and his group of racers are not satisfied with status quo and constantly strive to innovate, in an effort to position themselves as the leading touring series in the province of Quebec.”

Lucas Oil Super Sportsman Series and Les Entreprises M.P. Roy Inc. have settled on the use of MYLAPS timing and scoring system and technology (formerly known as AMB-IT). As part of the solution, each race car will be equipped with a MYLAPS electronic transponder, a computer will record the exact time each car goes over the scoring loop.

“We felt and so did our drivers the improved accuracy an electronic timing and scoring system brings was a just what the Series needs as part of its ongoing improvement plan,” said André Poulin. “The introduction of optional two-way radio systems in our Elite Division is going to allow our group to take advantage and tame the technology without having to move up in ranks and deal with all of the other expenses.”

Les Entreprises M.P. Roy Inc. was able to propose the MYLAPS timing and scoring solution to the Lucas Oil Super Sportsman Quebec Series as a result of a recent agreement reached to distribute, sell and support the MYLAPS line of products in Canada.
