Speedway 660 hosts Pro All Stars 200 Saturday

NAPLES ME (6/7/10) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) super late models make their annual trek  to the Canadian Maritimes on Saturday June 12 for an extra distance race at Fredericton New Brunswick’s Speedway 660, a favorite stop for PASS fans and racers alike.

All time series race winner Ben Rowe has two PASS wins at the Geary Woods oval and he’ll be looking for his first of 2010 and his first for car owner Scott Mulkern as the new team continues to gel, both on and off the track.   Rowe captured last year’s 200 over Adam Bates and John Fleming; Bates is pre-entered and he  will be one of the ones to watch in the 200. Johnny Clark has won Speedway 660’s open competition Peterbilt 250 but he’s never beaten the full complement of PASS touring regulars in their three previous trips to the Speedway.

There’s a full compliment of PASS regulars making the trip for race e number three of the 2010 PASS schedule. Scott Alexander, Cassius Clark, Travis Benjamin and Kelly Moore are all heading for New Brunswick; so are Scott Chubbuck, Dustin Hubbard and Trevor Sanborn. .Super Rookies Joey Doiron and Austin Theriault will make their first PASS appearances at the tight and flat speedway where the right set up is king. Gary Smith, Kirk Thibeau, Randy Turner and Donnie Whitten are all on the pre-entry list. Although he’s not filed a pre entry, home track hero Lonnie Sommerville has announced his intentions to try and steal the checkers from the southern invaders.

Expect a host of the Maritime’s finest to show up on race day as there’s plenty of teams in the region that have already proven themselves against the fast guys of PASS North.

The back gate at Speedway 660 will swing open Saturday June 12 at 1:00 PM.PASS practice goes green at 3:00 PM and a wide open night of motorized mayhem will take to the track at 7:05 PM sharp.  Speedway 660’s own Street Stocks and Sportsman divisions will complete the card.
