TONIGHT'S RACING CANCELLED

WEATHER FORCES THIRD RAINOUT OF THE SEASON

August 10, 2012

Tonight’s racing at Delaware Speedway has been cancelled due to the weather.  The championship chase will resume next weekend.

Next weekend’s Friday & Saturday programs promise to be full of solid competition and plenty of action.  Friday, August 17 is sponsored by Oakridge Ford and features the FT Garage Late Models continuing their tight points battle, the Coca-Cola Super Stocks, and the return of classic King of the Hill Spectator’s racing.  The event will begin at 8:00 pm.

Saturday, August 17 is sponsored by Transport N Service and showcases the GAW Recycling Enduro and Bone Stock Chaos Cars.  The Enduro series will be making use of a special A&B payout structure which will be adding to the total prize payout on the day and providing drivers who often run for fun towards the back of the back the chance to chase some cash.  With the track’s schedule this season both the Bone Stock and Enduro series have had over a month to prepare for their races.  Racing will get underway at 7:00 pm.

The track’s popular Family Value Passes which allow one adult and up to two kids age 16 and under into the races for $16 or two adults and up to four children age 16 and under for $32 (taxes included) are available on both days.

The speedway’s educational racing program for kids aged 8-17, Krown Junior Racing League, will be running its semi-final event this coming Wednesday, August 15 leading into the divisions championship night on August 22.  Admission is just $5 for adults, kids 12 and under are free.  Racing begins on Wednesdays just after 6:30 pm
