Motorsports enthusiasts are taking the fast lane to family fun and racing entertainment with the announcement of Peterborough Speedway's 2018 event schedule. The tight, tricky bullring on Mount Pleasant Road, west of the Liftlock City is about to kick-off its 51stconsecutive season of weekly operation and track owner/promoter J.P. Josiasse says releasing the agenda for the new year at the 4th annual Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports Expo – March 9ththrough 11th – at the International Centre in Toronto is the ideal launch pad.

"Talking to the fans is an important part of my job as a promoter and events like the Motorama Show are the perfect opportunity to do some bench racing," J.P. Josiasse said. "Our team has worked hard to put together what we believe is a winning schedule and releasing it at occasion like this allows the people who come through the turnstiles every week to give us some instant feedback."

Peterborough Speedway's 2018 calendar gets underway Saturday, May 19th with the traditional Country 105 Season Opener, featuring free spectator grandstand admission and a fan appreciation autograph session at intermission. On track action includes the hometown Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, Jiffy Lube Mini Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck, Super Stock and Late Model divisions; along with the Trailers Plus Eastern Ontario Legend Series. Pit gates open at 1:00, with grandstand access at 3:00 and season's first green flag at 5:00.
