BOGI LATEINER OF ALL GIRLS GARAGE IS COMING
TO MOTORAMA COURTESY OF BASF CANADA

March 8, 9 & 10, 2019 at Toronto's International Centre

TORONTO, ON // MARCH 4, 2019 • The TorontoMotorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo has a long history of featuring women who have made an impact in the automotive and racing fields. This year's show, which takes place March 8, 9 & 10 at The International Centre across from the city's Pearson Airport, will feature another talented, high-profile lady.

Bogi Lateiner, the co-host of Discovery Velocity's All Girls Garage, will be at Motorama all three days, meeting fans, signing autographs and participating in discussion panels and awards ceremonies. BASF Canada is presenting Bogi's appearance at Motorama.

In addition to her work on All Girls Garage, Lateiner is a master mechanic, entrepreneur, educator and public speaker. A resident of Phoenix, Arizona, Bogi owns and operates 180 Degrees Automotive in her hometown. She also heads nationwide initiatives to connect women in the trades and encourage women to explore careers in the trades through her Girl Gang Garage and all-female builds.

Bogi's love affair with cars began when she was 16 years-old. Her first vehicle was an old VW Beetle. After multiple bad experiences at repair shops, she enrolled in her high school's auto shop program so she could restore the vehicle herself. After graduating with honors from Oberlin College on a pre-law career track, she changed course and moved to Phoenix to attend the Universal Technical Institute (UTI) to become a mechanic.

After graduating from UTI, Lateiner worked for a BMW dealership for six years before opening her own shop. Her vision in creating 180 Degrees Automotive was to create a garage unlike any other. The space doubles as an art gallery and is one of only a few shops that is almost entirely staffed by female mechanics.

In 2012, Bogi came to prominence when she began hosting All Girls Garage on the Velocity network. In 2017, her Girl Gang Garage made headlines when an all-female team built a '57 Chevy truck, powered by a BMW S62 engine. The vehicle, dubbedMontage, was featured in the BASF booth at the Las Vegas SEMA show alongside builds from the Ring Brothers and the legendary Chip Foose.

"BASF focuses on more than providing our customers with paint for high-quality finishes," said Mark Huisman, BASF Canada Business Manager. "We focus on sustaining our industry through partnerships like the one we have with Bogi. Her commitment to events such as Motorama make a huge impact on supporting high-quality, safe vehicle repairs by talented professionals."

Speaking on behalf of Motorama, co-promoter David Weber said, "BASF Canada is a great supporter of Motorama. Their display is always superb, and they sponsor awards for car-owners at the show. BASF has a relationship with Bogi so it's a perfect fit that they're the presenting sponsor of her appearance at Motorama."
