GEARING UP FOR THE TORONTO MOTORAMA CUSTOM CAR & MOTORSPORTS EXPO

March 13, 14 & 15, 2020 at Toronto's International Centre

TORONTO, ON // JANUARY 27, 2020 • The sixth annual Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo takes over Toronto's International Centre March 13, 14 & 15, filling more than 330,000 square feet with incredible custom cars, hot rods, racing vehicles of all kinds, classics, tuners, car clubs, builders, parts and collectibles vendors, and more.

Chip Foose (right), star of the legendary TV show Overhaulin', will appear Saturday and Sunday at Motorama, meeting fellow auto enthusiasts, posing for pictures and signing autographs. Foose has created four Ridler Award winners – the prestigious 'best in show' honour at the Detroit Autorama – and is a seven-time winner of the Goodguys Street Rod of the Year Award.

Foose's appearance at Motorama is being co-presented, in part, by BASF Canada, Hagerty Insurance and Lincoln Electric.

Less than two months from now, upon entering The Grand Hall (Hall 1), showgoers will be greeted by 28 incredible mostly 'first time shown' cars, many of them built with an eye to debuting them at Motorama.

Every car in the show will have been reviewed and approved by car coordinator Gary Challice and his team, guaranteeing a wide variety of immaculate, interesting and stunning vehicles.

Heading deeper into the show, visitors will enter the Inside Track Racing Zone, Presented by Stoneridge Specialty Insurance. This area will feature racing series, tracks, clubs and motorsports suppliers representing the full spectrum of Canadian racing, including stock cars, drag racing, road racing, rallying, karting and more.

New for 2020 is the addition of the Stoneridge Stage in the Racing Zone, where racers, promoters, officials and members of the community will be interviewed throughout Motorama. And for the first time ever, a stock car build is planned for the Racing Zone. Woven throughout the hall will be several dozen racing vehicles, of all kinds, in The Racers' Corral.

The International Centre's massive Hall 2 will showcase the majority of the car clubs and feature displays. More than a dozen clubs – including this year's Featured Club, the Brantford, Ontario-based Piston Pushers – will attend Motorama, each showcasing a selection of their members' vehicles. JH Restorations, from Windsor, Ontario, is this year's feature builder and will display several of their creations. Feature cars that have appeared at SEMA (Las Vegas) and major shows like the Syracuse Nationals will also be making their Canadian car show debuts.

Hall 2 also plays home to the busy Motorama Stage, where the awards presentations and discussion panels take place.

Returning for a second year, Mayhem… in the Backroom is a party that pays homage to traditional hot rods and custom cars, as well as the rockabilly lifestyle. Presented by ZEHR Insurance Brokers and under the guidance of Brandon Roberts – one of the promoters of the popular Jalopy Jam-Up – Mayhem's vehicle line-up will include offerings from several car clubs and car owners.

For 2020, Mayhem has been relocated to Hall 4 where it will have even more room for the cars, pinstripers, barbers, tattoo artists, bands, the Miss Motorama Pin-Up Pageant and other features that will once again make it a hive of activity at Motorama.

The fifth edition of Spring Fever: Modified Cars & Lifestyle will again be put together by Kristine Hill, producer of the annual Summer Showdown in Simcoe, Ontario. Passionate about modified and tuner cars and the people who embrace the lifestyle, Hill is excited about SF5, which is moving to Hall 3 for this year. Spring Fever is being presented by Burning Rubber Tire & Speed, of Oakville, Ontario.

According to Hill, word of the $1000.00 first-place prize and the $500.00 runner-up prize has spread, with entries coming in from as far away as Florida and Quebec. A wide variety of modified cars and trucks will once again be on display, showcasing everything from luxurious VIP-style tuners, to championship level drift cars, with an emphasis on new builds and trends.

Some exhibitor space and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Vehicle registration applications are still being accepted and reviewed.
