A new season of full fendered action is just around the corner and group officials have announced the 2026 GEN-3 Electrical OMRS SportsMods event schedule.
“We’ve just come off an exciting year for our teams as they transitioned from the open-wheeled cars to our new breed of racing equipment,” said a SportsMods spokesperson. “Our opening night last year was highlighted by a thrilling head-to-head battle between John Baker Jr. and Chad Strawn that was settled by a margin of mere inches at the checkered flag, with JBJ taking the race win.”
This year’s line-up will feature the customary 8 dates, shared between Peterborough and Flamboro Speedways, kicking off Saturday, May 23rd at the popular Central Ontario oval in the heart of Cottage Country and concluding with the Championship Showdown during the Autumn Colours Classic. The group’s racers and teams are looking forward to the green flag that gets the next campaign underway.
Along with the new schedule announcement, the GEN-3 Electrical OMRS SportsMods team line-up will welcome some fresh faces and familiar names for the 2026 calendar. Several rookie of the year hopefuls will be looking to make their initial starts when the group hits the track for the new season.
