NAPLES, ME (September 15) – As the temperatures continue to fall outside, action is about to heat up this weekend as the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) AIM Recycling Super Late Models Presented By Kenny U-Pull hit the track at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.  The stars and cars of PASS are preparing for one of the biggest races of the season as they get set to compete in the Southern Maine Chrysler Jeep Dodge 300 as the featured event of the 9th Annual PASS 400 Weekend.

            A PASS win at Beech Ridge can go a long ways towards making a successful season.  Championship contenders Mike Rowe and Joey Doiron have both gone to victory lane there throughout the years.  In the two previous PASS events held at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway this season, both Bryan Kruczek and David Oliver managed to score their first career series wins. 

            "It meant a lot to me and my team to pick up a win so early on in the season and in only our second race in our Dale Shaw chassis," says Kruczek.  "It took a week or so before it really set in that I had won at that level and at Beech Ridge of all places for it to happen.  We had struggled there and were plagued with misfortune, more than any other track than we run at.  So it gave me an unbelievable amount of confidence for the rest of the season."

            Measuring in at just 1/3 mile in length, Beech Ridge has long provided some of the best racing action of the year for the PASS AIM Recycling Super Late Models.  With multiple grooves at their disposal, the track will provide an interesting challenge to the racers as they look to end Glen Luce's two-race win streak, a streak that includes the 42nd Annual AIM Recycling Oxford 250.

            "Beech Ridge has some character, bumps getting into the corners, that make the car move around a bit if you're being too aggressive," says Kruczek, who will enter Sunday's Southern Maine Chrysler Jeep Dodge 300 ninth in points.  "The backstretch wall makes it feel almost like Lee Speedway in New Hampshire to me, where you can run up against the wall, but then it's like Oxford down the front straight.  It's very demanding to run lap-after-lap and be as smooth as can be without burning up the tires."

            Perhaps other than the Oxford 250, no race on the PASS AIM Recycling Super Late Model schedule is as hard to win as the 300 at Beech Ridge.  Last year, Massachusetts driver Derek Ramstrom stood in victory lane and, this year, Kruczek hopes he has the right setup to get the Ouellette Associates machine to victory lane.

            "I think the 300 race strategy is pretty tough compared to the 150 lappers because in a 150 lap race you have to save tires at some point in the race to make a run at the end," said Kruczek.  "I think you need to run the first half of the 300 as hard as needed to keep good track position to be able to change tires and race hard at the end."

            A strong group of challengers have already filed entries for this weekend's PASS 400 action at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway including former PASS champions Ben Travis Benjamin, Ben Rowe, Cassius Clark, and Johnny Clark.  2015 race winners Jeremy Davis and David Oliver have filed entries, along with veterans Richie Dearborn, Kelly Moore, Trevor Sanborn, Alan Tardiff, and Bobby Timmons.  A strong group of Maine racers will also be represented by Travis Fadden, Dave Farrington, Jr., Scott Farrington, Garrett Hall, Robbie Harrison, Reid Lanpher, Scott McDaniel, Dennis Spencer, Jr., and JT Thurlow.  Brent Dragon will be making the tow from Vermont, while Derrick Griffith will be joining the fun from New Hampshire.

            A busy weekend of action begins this Friday afternoon at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway with practice starting at Noon followed later in the day by heat races and features for the 305-Bomber, Trucks, 350/305 Varsity, and Beetle Bug/Rebels.  On Saturday, practice begins at 10 AM followed by heats for the PASS AIM Recycling Super Late Models, and features for the PASS Modifieds, Strictlys, and Bandits.  Then on Sunday, practice begins at 10 AM, with racing starting at 12:05 PM, including the Southern Maine Chrysler Jeep Dodge 300 for the PASS Super Late Models and features for the PASS Modifieds, Limiteds, and North East Mini Stock Tour.

Place au TT300 pour la conclusion de la saison à l’Autodrome St-Eustache Inline image 1 Ce dimanche 20 septembre aura lieu le dernier programme de la saison 2015 de l’Autodrome St-Eustache. Classique annuelle de fin de saison, le TT300 regroupera les pilotes des divisions NASCAR et locale de l’ASE en plus des pilotes de la série ACT. Ces derniers en seront à une dernière présence en sol québécois, alors qu’ils compléteront leur saison du côté américain. Ceux-ci seront en vedette en clôturant la journée du TT300 et ainsi conclure la saison 2015 de l’Autodrome St-Eustache. Surveillez le communiqué officiel de la série ACT pour connaitre les détails de la lutte au championnat ainsi que la participation anticipée des pilotes pour cet évènement. La lutte pour le titre de champion est à son paroxysme dans l’une ou l’autre des divisions de l’ASE à l’aube de ce dernier programme. Nous connaitrons officiellement l’identité des champions de l’Autodrome St-Eustache à l’issu des épreuves présentées ce dimanche après-midi. NASCAR Sportsman Lucas Oil 2 épreuves de 50 tours sont prévues pour les pilotes de la série vedette de l’ASE dimanche après-midi. Si la tendance se maintient, André Sylvain #4jr, pourrait mettre la main sur le titre de champion québécois NASCAR Sportsman Lucas Oil en plus de celui de recrue de l’année NASCAR Whelen All American Serie. NASCAR Sport Compacte MRQ Un duel de titan est à prévoir dimanche entre Yannick Thibeault #72 et Yannick Miron #90 pour le championnat NASCAR Sport Compacte MRQ. Avec seulement 7 points d’avance sur Miron, Thibeault devra être magistrale pour pouvoir décrocher le titre de champion. Ce dernier aura une motivation particulière, lui qui vient tout juste d’accueillir son premier poupon la semaine dernière. Yannick Miron quant à lui n’est pas en reste, alors qu’il goutera à la joie de la paternité également, un peu plus tard, soit en mars prochain. Une nouvelle et future paternité qui pourrait bien motiver nos pilotes à souhait pour cette dernière et ultime course. Bien qu’il n’y a que 23 points d’écart entre la 1ère position et la 5e, rien n’est acquis pour personne, et tous les espoirs sont permis pour les Gauvreau père et fils ainsi que du côté du vétéran Robin Harrisson afin de succéder à Patrick Boucher comme champion NASCAR. NASCAR Légende Modifiée Steve Côté #7 devrait, dès le 1er tour de finale, être déclaré champion 2015 de la division NASCAR Légende Modifiée. Avec une saison à faire rêver, 7 victoires en 8 départs, ce dernier en aura mis plein la vue aux spectateurs et aux autres pilotes de la division. Cependant, ces derniers tenteront assurément d’améliorer leur sort au classement général, et ainsi terminer à une meilleure position. C’est notamment le cas des Verville #56, Campeau #90 et Forgues #82. Stéphane Caron #99 tentera pour sa part de freiner les ardeurs de ces pilotes et de terminer devant ceux-ci au championnat. Challenge 4 Meilleur Ramoneur Un peu à l’image de la série NASCAR Sport Compacte MRQ, le champion de la division Challenge 4 sera connu à l’issue d’une lutte sans merci au cours de la finale dimanche après-midi. Jean-Philippe ‘’Nikki’’ Duguay #18, succédera t-Il à son paternel Pierre comme champion de la division? À l’image de Yannick Thibeault en NASCAR Sport Compacte MRQ, est-ce que la naissance de son fils le weekend dernier donnera l’élan nécessaire à Guillaume Dinelle #03 pour triompher cette saison, lui qui avait terminé 2e en 2014? Est-ce que ce sera le plus jeune membre de la célèbre famille Chagnon, Jimmy Lee #160, qui remportera son 1er championnat? Plusieurs questions, mais une seule réponse à la fin de la course endiablée que ce livreront les pilotes Challenge 4 dimanche. 358 Modifiés Avec la fin des championnats sur terre battue un peu partout au Québec et au nord des États-Unis, on peu s’attendre à une bonne participation de la part des pilotes des bolides 358 Modifiés. Pour cette dernière épreuve de la saison, aucun doute que Chris Cayea #18 voudra revenir dans le cercle des vainqueurs, lui qui avait grimpé la plus haute marche du podium plus d’une fois en début de saison. Roger Labrèche jr #100 sera aussi un pilote à surveiller pour cette dernière épreuve. Une finale de 30 tours remplie d’action est à prévoir. Un spectacle à ne pas manquer que celui du dimanche 20 septembre prochain. Pour l’occasion, les puits ouvriront à 9h00 tandis que l’ouverture aux spectateurs se fera à 10h00. Le début des compétitions aura lieu à 12h30. Le tarif d’admission général est fixé à 35.00 $, 15.00 $ pour les 13-17 ans et les enfants de 12 ans et moins sont admis gratuitement. Pari gagné pour le combo PASS/ACT



C'est ce samedi, 12 septembre qu'a eu lieu à l'Autodrome Chaudière de Vallée-Jonction le tant attendu combo PASS/ACT.

Du jamais vu encore au Québec; 32 pilotes ACT-LMS et 18 pilotes PASS, réunit pour une journée sur la même piste pour une course de chacun 200 tours. Le championnat de fin de saison de la classe Sport Compact Élite Oricom Internet venait compléter le programme.

L'année Martin Bisson

Avec 4 points de différences entre les deux meneurs soit le #26 Martin Bisson de Saints-Anges et le #75 Steve Godbout de Québec, on pouvait s'attendre à une course des plus serrée pour la classe Sport Compact Élite Oricom Internet.

Les séances de qualifications ont été remportées par le #26 Martin Bisson et par le #66 Mathieu Godin. Remportant avec brio sa première victoire en qualification en Sport Compact Élite, Mathieu Godin de Ste-Brigitte est parvenu à garder les devants sur le #75 Steve Godbout. Une belle réussite pour le pilote recru.

Ayant offert de beaux dépassements et une course remplie d'adrénaline, nos pilotes locales auront terminé l'année en beauté.

Le #75 Steve Godbout commandité par Construction Couture et Tanguay a signé la victoire de cette dernière course. Il est suivi du #26 Martin Bisson et du #4 Jimmy Gagné. Une fin de saison bien méritée pour Gagné de Saint-Georges qui, à bord de la voiture aux couleurs de Pièces d'Autos Fernand Bégin, a connu une saison difficile.

Le #26 Martin Bisson commandité par Transport Richard Bisson et CF Ventillation aura connu une année parfaite. Sur 10 départs en finale, il aura terminé 10 fois sur le podium. En plus de remporter le championnat de la classe, il repart avec la victoire du championnat de la Triple Couronne. Sans aucun doute une saison qui restera marqué dans la mémoire de Martin et son équipe.

Une foule record pour ce combo

C'est devant des estrades bondées où plus de 3600 personnes s'étaient donné rendez-vous que les finales PASS et ACT ont eu lieu.

Avec 32 voitures présentes, la finale ACT a donné l'action attendue aux spectateurs présents heureux de voir le #80 Donald Theetge accéder au podium. Une finale menée entre autres par le #51 Patrick Hamel ainsi que le #80 Donald Theetge. Mais le #27 Wayne Helliwell Jr aura eu le dessus et remporte cette finale. Restant parmi les meneurs tout au long du programme, le #80 Donald Theege accède à la 2e marche du podium suivi du #97 Joey Polewarczyk Jr. 

En ce qui concerne la série PASS, il est vrai qu'on aurait aimé voir plus de voitures. Mais une chose est certaine, le son de ces voitures, la performance qu'elles montrent en piste et en particulier sur l'ovale de Vallée-Jonction restera toujours aussi impressionnants.

Nos pilotes québécois ont à nouveau réitéré leur amour pour cette classe; sur 18 pilotes présents, on comptait 11 Québécois.  C'est d'ailleurs deux d'entre eux soit le #80 Donald Theetge et le #91 Patrick Laperle qui ont remporté les séances de qualification. Le #7 Glen Luce qui n'avait jusqu'au programme de la semaine dernière, jamais remporté de finale en PASS est repartie avec les honneurs de ces 200 tours. Quant au #80 Donald Theetge, c'est non seulement un podium ACT mais aussi une deuxième place PASS qu'il aura remporté hier. Deux podiums bien mérités pour le pilote de Boischatel qui a connu un début de saison plus difficile. Complète ce dernier podium de la soirée le #27 Alexandre Gingras.

Une soirée qui aura été sous le signe de la réussite, et ce pour toutes les classes présentes et qui, selon les commentaires obtenus, en aura donné pour leur argent aux spectateurs présents!

Prochain rendez-vous à l'Autodrome Chaudière le 19 septembre prochain pour le championnat de fin de saison de l'Autodrome Chaudière.

Vermont 200 championship events moved to Saturday, September 19

WEST HAVEN, VT – Devil's Bowl Speedway has postponed its asphalt stock car racing season finale to Saturday night, September 19 due to rain.  Extra-distance feature events will be run to close out the Mekkelsen RV Vermont 200 Championship Weekend, and champions will be crowned for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series presented by Yandow Sales & Service and John Deere.

First-round qualifying races were completed on Saturday, September 12 before wet weather moved into the area overnight.  Morning showers and a forecast for continued rain throughout the day on Sunday forced the postponement.

Racing has been moved to Saturday night, September 19 at 5:00 p.m.  All two-day grandstand tickets and pit area wristbands will be honored.  In case of rain on Saturday, one final attempt to complete the event will be made on Sunday, September 20 at 1:30 p.m.

The Bond Auto Parts Modified division will run twin 50-lap feature races as Ron Proctor and Vince Quenneville Jr. vie for the track championship.  Josh Masterson will try to wrap up his first championship in the Central Vermont Motorcycles Late Model division with a 100-lap main event, while Robert Gordon aims at the Brileya's Chrysler-Jeep Renegade championship and Chris LaVair goes for the Portland Glass Mini Stock title.  The MFT Sauce & Rub Co. Enduro Series will also be in action with a 50-lap race.

General admission for the Mekkelsen RV Vermont 200 is $20 on Saturday, September 19; kids age 12 and under will be admitted free.  Grandstands open at 3:00 p.m. and racing is at 5:00 p.m.

Short track stock car racing has traditionally been a male-dominated vocation. Over the years, a number of female drivers have made headlines in the various divisions at Peterborough Speedway. With the track's spotlight event, the 23rd Annual Autumn Colours Classic – presented by Lucas Oil Products – less than a month away, the playground taunt 'girls rule and boys drool' could soon echo through the spectator grandstands and the pit area of the tight, tricky bullring on Mount Pleasant Road, west of the Liftlock City.

 

A quick check of the Battlefield Equipment Rental 4Fun point standings – where 15 year old Willow Barberstock captured the championship in 2014 – shows drivers named Ryan, Sean and Jeremy occupying the top 3 positions, but also runners who go by Tiffany, Marilyn and Erin within the top 20 positions of the finishing order. At last year's Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing, half a dozen female racers were part of the overall starting fields. With the 2015 edition of the event coming up quickly, that statistic looks as though it could be repeated.

 

Tiffany Vandebelt, Marilyn Junkin and Erin Kearns are slated to represent the 4Fun division, while Ember Junkin is expected to fly the Mini Stock colours. In the Earl Ireland Auto Sales Late Model field, Brittany Gressel and fan favourite Amanda Connolly will take the green flag. For Connolly – the 2009 Peterborough Speedway Late Model track champion – Autumn Colours will be her final race with the last name 'Connolly' over the driver's door of the #16 machine. Saturday, November 14th she'll become Amanda Balson after exchanging vows with OSCAAR Super Late Model driver Kelly Balson.

 

The 23rd Annual Autumn Colours Classic – presented by Lucas Oil Products – takes the green flag Friday, October 9th practice and first round qualifying for the Battlefield Equipment Rental 4Fun, Mini Stock, Paul Davis Systems Thunder Car, Earl Ireland Auto Sales Late Model, Pro Late Model and OSCAAR Modified divisions. Pit gates will open at 10:00, with the spectator grandstands unlocked at 5:00 and racing at 6:00. Action will continue throughout the weekend with plenty of excitement scheduled for Saturday, October 10th and feature events on the agenda Sunday, October 11th.

Vallée-Jct., QC – Wayne Helliwell Jr. took advantage of lapped traffic to slip by Donald Theetge with 11 laps remaining and take his fourth win American-Canadian Tour (ACT) win of the season at Vallée-Jct., QC's Autodrome Chaudiere on Saturday, September 12.

 

Dover, NH's Helliwell had stalked Theetge through traffic after the two got around then-leader Jean-François Déry on lap 169 of the 200-lap event. As the pair approached the lapped car of Etienne Cliche, Theetge looked to pass him on the outside groove. But Cliche drifted high entering turn 3 and Helliwell dove to the bottom, grabbing the lead and driving away for the win in front of the second-largest crowd in track history.

 

Patrick Hamel got the jump on polesitter Martin Goulet Jr. and lead the first seven laps before Déry took over. Déry built a big lead at times, but six cautions in the first 63 laps tightened the field up and led to Déry and Theetge swapping the lead back and forth on a series of restarts.

 

The race eventually settled in and went the entire second half caution-free, with Déry, Theetge, Helliwell, and Joey Polewarczyk Jr. breaking away from the field. Déry's car eventually began to fall off on the long green-flag run, and after multiple attempts to get around him, Theetge finally swung to the outside and grabbed the lead with 31 laps remaining.

 

Helliwell, who had worked his way up from the 12th starting position, followed him through and the two pulled away as they chased each other through traffic, at one point splitting lapped cars three-wide. But Theetge's efforts were for naught after Helliwell's winning move.

 

Theetge settled for second while Polewarczyk got around Déry in the final laps for third. Dery faded to fourth after leading a race-high 134 laps. Alex Labbé made a late charge to finish fifth. Série ACT point leader Dany Trépanier, Brandon Atkins, Jonathan Bouvrette, Cliche, and Jeff White completed the top-10.

 

Helliwell unofficially takes the ACT U.S. Tour point lead by 13 over Polewarczyk while Déry's efforts helped him cut into Trépanier's Série ACT lead. Both series have just two point-counting events remaining in the 2015 season.

 

The best of the ACT U.S. and Série ACT will head to New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 26 for the 7th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational. Forty-three of the top ACT Late Model racers in the northeast United States and Canada will go 50 green-flag laps on the "Magic Mile" as part of a tripleheader that includes the Camping World Truck Series and Whelen Modified Tour. The Invitational will roll to the grid at approximately 5:00pm.

WEST HAVEN, VT – Jimmy Ryan kicked off the Mekkelsen RV Vermont 200 Championship Weekend with a long awaited checkered flag on "Shootout Saturday" at Devil's Bowl Speedway. Ryan led a parade of stock car drivers through victory lane in a series of bonus races following first-round qualifying for the annual year-end asphalt championship event.  The main events will be run on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

Ryan's win came in a special 10-lap shootout for non-feature winners in the Bond Auto Parts Modified division.  The veteran from Whiting, VT fought off an early challenge from Billy Lussier before stretching out his lead and taking the win, which came just two weeks after getting his car upside down.

"After the year we've had, I'll take a win any way I can get it," Ryan said in victory lane. Lussier finished second ahead of Jason Furman, Bob Kilburn, and Dave Snow.

The championship battle tightened during qualifying for Sunday's twin 50-lap main events. Title rivals Ron Proctor and Vince Quenneville Jr. each earned five bonus points after winning their respective heat races, but Quenneville inched one point closer to Proctor in the semi-feature.  The two drivers are now separated by just four points – the equivalent of two on-track positions – entering the Sunday afternoon finales.

Proctor, Quenneville, and Leon Gonyo each collected $100 bonuses from Bond Auto Parts after winning their heats; Todd Stone won the semi-feature.

Seth Bridge of Mendon, VT carried his first-ever checkered flag after taking the non-winner shootout in the Central Vermont Motorcycles Late Model division.  Rookie Tony Salerno of Mineville, NY got his first win in the Brileya's Chrysler-Jeep Renegade shootout, and rookie Bradley Bertrand of Ferrisburgh, VT did the same in the Portland Glass Mini Stocks.

Robert Gordon and Scott FitzGerald collected $50 bonuses from Sugar & Spice Restaurant and Jones' Donuts for winning Renegade heat races, and Gordon also won the semi-feature.  Harold LaVair and Chuck Bradford won $50 Portland Glass bonuses with Mini Stock heat wins, and Chris LaVair won the semi-feature.

Anthony Warren of Shoreham, VT won the Mechanics Race for the Modified division driving Ryan's car, and Adam Maynard of Milton, VT took the Renegade Mechanics Race in Matt Monaghan's machine.  Lindsey Wells of Gabriels, NY won the ladies-only "Powder Puff" race driving her fiancée Chris LaVair's Mini Stock.

Sunday, September 13 marks the championship season finale for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series presented by Yandow Sales & Service and John Deere at Devil's Bowl.  The Late Model division will run qualifying races and a 100-lap main event beginning at 1:30 p.m., along with twin 50-lap features for the Modifieds, a 50-lap Renegade race, and twin 15-lap races for the Mini Stocks.  The MFT Sauce & Rub Co. Enduro Series will also be in action with a metal-crunching 50-lap race.

General admission for the Mekkelsen RV Vermont 200 is $20 on Sunday, September 13; kids age 12 and under will be admitted free.  Grandstands open at 11:00 a.m. and racing is at 1:30 p.m.

 - Autodrome Granby. Ce vendredi 12 septembre, nous avons eu droit à une course de Modifié gros blocs enlevante; une autre charmante course Sport Compact avec un peloton de 19 voitures et une course de série Dirt Prostock désastreuse pour nos visiteurs, mais haute en action pour nos habitués. La finale Sportsman a été annulée étant donné l'heure tardive à laquelle la course Prostock s'est terminée.

 

100x Modifié

 

Brett Hearn #20 a mené la vie dure au jeune Larry Wight #99L de 22 ans tout le cent tours sans succès. Wight, 5ème au championnat, part premier. Il mène 53 tours initiaux.  Hearn parti 12ème prend la relève de la pôle par l'intérieur. 8 tours plus tard le 99L reprend son dû au large. Au tour 79, Hearn reprend le contrôle du peloton, mais deux tours plus tard Wight revient à la charge et restera premier jusqu'à la fin. Matt Sheppard #9S meneur dans les points devant Hearn avant ce soir part 5ème. Souffrant d'une crevaison, il quitte au 17ème tour pour revenir en lion. Il est déjà en 8ème place à la mi-course. Au tour 62, Sheppard fait l'intérieur du 91 de Billy Decker pour la 4ème position. 4 tour plus tard, Matt fait pareil au 27 de Danny Johnson demeuré au top 3 depuis le début de la course. Steve Bernard #54 parti 13ème remonte dixième au tour 9. En faisant l'extérieur du 8 de Rich Scagliotta, Bernard parvient même 5ème au tour 26. Gary Tomkins #84 fera le 54 7ème par l'intérieur au tour 81. Steve Bernier #25 9ème, y est resté 10 tours puis s'est maintenu tout près du top 10 pour l'autre portion de l'épreuve

Alain Brochu #12 met la main sur sa 3ème victoire de l'année et un autre top 10 à sa colllection, puisqu'il ne l'a jamais quitté de la saison. Parti 5ème, Brochu se jette 4ème au tour 4 en faisant l'intérieur du 21 de Jonny Allaire. Pendant ce temps, il y a bouchon à l'avant avec le 115 de Stéphane Lemire à l'extérieur et le 33 de Bruno Cyr à son bas. À la reprise du tour 6, Jocelyn Roy parti 12 arrive 5ème. Il vient aussi former une barrière en haut du 12 de Brochu. Ils paraderont ainsi jusqu'au tour 12. À la relance, Lemire a le dessus sur Roy, mais Brochu n'est pas bien loin et François Adam #01 se place 4ème. Au tour 17, Brochu dépasse Lemire par l'intérieur pour la pôle avec toujours à leurs trousses Roy et Adam. Au tour 21, Bruno Cyr fait l'intérieur d'Adam pour la 4ème place. Au tour 23, Lemire reprend la tête, le 12 reprend la deuxième devant Roy troisième, Cyr quatrième et Adam cinquième. On gèle cette formation jusqu'au tour 38 où Brochu reprend définitivement la première position au bas de Lemire. Au tour 42, le 115 recule 4ème et au tour suivant, Cyr fait l'intérieur de Roy pour la deuxième. À deux tours de la fin, Adam fait le bas du 115 qui semble ne plus avoir de gomme.

Alexis Charbonneau #49 remporte sa 2ème victoire de la saison entrant dans ses 7 top 5 en 9 courses. Parti 9ème, Charbonneau se lance 4ème au départ au milieu du 53 de Patrick Bélisle au bas et du 24 de Guillaume Daoust en haut. À la complétion du premier tour Alexis est 3ème à l'intérieur du 24 de Guillaume Daoust. Le 49 passe deuxième au tour 2 seulement. Puis d'un seul trait Charbonneau fait l'extérieur du 53 de Patrick Délisle et le bas du 45 de Dominic Blais pour devenir le leader de tous les prochains tours malgré le nez-à-nez avec Daoust à la reprise du tour 10. Marc Véronneau #8 part 10ème et atteint le top 5 en dépassant le 83 de Sébastien Beauregard au tour 8. À deux tours de la fin, Marc passe 3ème. Pierre-Olivier Breault, la recrue 2015 vient chercher un 4ème top 5 ce soir. Parti 5ème, Breault dégringole puis revient 4ème au tour 13 en faisant l'intérieur de Délisle.
