NAPLES, ME (December 19) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials announced today that entry forms for the upcoming 4th Running of the Winter Meltdown at Dillon Motor Speedway are now available online at ProAllStarsSeries.com.  The "original" Winter Meltdown featuring the 12th Annual South Carolina Clash will go green on Saturday afternoonFebruary 4 at 2 PM and will serve as the first race of 2017 for the PASS South Super Late Models and the PASS National Championship Series.

The PASS Winter Meltdown will be bigger than ever in 2017 featuring more laps, more money, and the chance for teams to employ pit strategy.  The PASS Super Late Models will compete for 200 green flag laps, with $6,000 up for grabs for the winner and $700 to start. Teams will also have the option to pit at lap 125 for fuel and two new tires, but are not required to take tires before returning to the tricky egg-shaped speedway for the action-packed final 75 laps.  Being on Super Bowl weekend, the PASS Winter Meltdown will be the first major points event of 2017 and will also feature a 75 lap event for the Dillon Motor Speedway Late Models, paying $1500 to win.  The "original" Meltdown is also the first opportunity for teams looking to lockdown a potential national championship provisional for the 44th Annual Oxford 250 to be held in August at Oxford Plains Speedway.

PASS officials also announced that 2017 licenses are now available online at ProAllStarsSeries.com for the PASS Super Late Model and PASS Modified divisions.  Drivers purchasing licenses for the 2017 season will receive bonus points for each race they are pre-registered for, are eligible for provisional starting spots, and will also save money towards any events that they enter early.

"The Winter Meltdown started a number of years ago, but we believe it truly has found a home at Dillon," said PASS President Tom Mayberry.  "In 2017 we will get an early start to the season at Dillon with the PASS Winter Meltdown, which looks to be bigger than ever before.  All of our competitors and fans are excited to get started at Dillon next year and we can't wait to get it underway in February.  It will be here before you know it, that's for sure."

The 2017 PASS South Super Late Model schedule has now been finalized with dates at Southern National Motorsports Park on July 15and South Boston Speedway on August 13.  With the latest date announced, along with the previously scheduled event set for March, PASS will be the exclusive sanctioning body for Super Late Model events at Southern National in 2017.  While the PASS South schedule is complete, additional details will be announced in the coming weeks for the return of PASS to Quebec on May 21, plus other exciting news surrounding the 44th Annual Oxford 250.

NASCAR Unveils New Brand Identity, Premier Series Name and Mark

NASCAR Unveils New Brand Identity, Premier Series Name and Mark

Premier Series to Be Named Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Beginning in 2017

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Dec. 19, 2016) –- NASCAR today unveiled a new official brand identity which will replace the bar mark used by the sanctioning body since 1976. The announcement was made in conjunction with the news that Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will be the new name of the sport's premier series beginning January 1, 2017.

The new brand mark and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series mark, which prominently features the iconic Monster Energy logo, together represent a new era in NASCAR and were first shared today across NASCAR social and digital media channels.

The NASCAR brand identity has been in development since early 2016 as part of a broader effort to refresh the NASCAR brand. It was designed to pay tribute to the storied history of NASCAR, incorporating elements of all four previous marks since the company's inaugural season of 1948.

"Our new NASCAR mark is modern, timeless, and embraces the heritage of our sport," said Jill Gregory, NASCAR senior vice president and chief marketing officer. "It was important for us to recognize our history and implement a piece of each previous mark in the new design. Our goal was to evolve the sport's visual identity to make it concise, relevant and functional, while respecting and maintaining the unique qualities of the original mark."

The first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series points race will be the 59th running of the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 26 (2 p.m. ET, FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio). Tickets are available at NASCAR.com/tickets.

#ErbDriveFor5

For Immediate Release

Monday December 12, 2016 - (Baden, ON) - Four-time NASCAR Pinty's Series Champion Scott Steckly and long-time sponsor Erb Transport's #ErbDrivefor5 five-day food drive is set to launch tomorrow, Tuesday December 13th, in support of the Wilmot Family Resource Centre's Food Bank, a member of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.

Giving back to the community and helping those in need has been a core principal of the Erb Group of Companies from the beginning. Since its inception in 1959 they have remained committed to being a good corporate citizen and employer. For the past 10 years Erb Transport has held an internal pre-holiday season food and toy drive. Most recently with Trucks For Change, a group who connect truck carriers with community charities, they helped by taking a shipment of donated food to Thunder Bay in Northwestern Ontario.

Representing Erb Transport since 1999, Steckly drove to National titles in 2008, 2011, 2013 and 2015. He is most recognized as a driver but he's also well respected within the NASCAR Pinty's Series community as the 22 Racing Team owner.

"Like a career in racing, life has its highs and lows.  My family, the 22 Racing crew, sponsors and their families and fans have supported me during the wins and through the challenging times." said Steckly "I've been truly blessed with the support I have around me. The Holiday Season can put an extra strain on families who may already be struggling. Together with Erb Transport we look forward to helping the 1 in 20 households that struggle to find their way from hunger to hope."

Within the Region of Waterloo – which includes Wilmot Township, 17% of those accessing food assistance are employed, 3% receive Employment Insurance, 30% receive Ontario Disability Support. 40% of households receiving food support are families with children.  Since 2008 there has been a 30% increase in emergency food hamper requests in Waterloo Region.

From December 13th to December 16th 2016 non-perishable food items can be dropped off in the lobby at three Erb Group locations:

Erb Transport – Head Office
290 Hamilton Road

Pour la saison 2017, les équipes sont amenées à voter sur la distribution des bourses et fonds de points selon 3 possibilités;

2017 Schedule Announced For Pinty's Series

11th Season of Canadian Championship Features Unique Events
Official Release
December 8, 2016 - 12:10pm

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Coming off an historic inaugural season with a new entitlement partner, the NASCAR Pinty's Series is primed to capitalize on that momentum with a 2017 schedule that includes traditional marque events and several unique changes.

The NASCAR Pinty's Series will open on Sunday, May 21 with the popular Victoria Day weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ont. The series will make a second stop at the road course on Sunday, Sept. 3 in conjunction with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. And the Toronto Honda Indy weekend will again feature Canada's national stock car championship series in the event held by Toronto's Lake Ontario waterfront on the Exhibition Place street course. The series will be the headliner on Saturday, July 15.

"From Cayden Lapcevich's memorable championship campaign, to the thrilling battles between Quebec's favorites Andrew Ranger, Alex Tagliani, Kevin Lacroix and Alex Labbe, the 2016 NASCAR Pinty's Series was one for the record books," said George Silbermann, NASCAR vice president of weekly & touring series. "With the newly released schedule, the 2017 season is shaping to take that excitement to the next level. The mix of world-class road courses and challenging ovals will provide a great test for drivers and teams, and excite fans across Canada."

"The first season as an entitlement sponsor with NASCAR exceeded our wildest expectations," said Tony Spiteri, Pinty's senior vice president, marketing, research & development. "Pinty's Foods is proud to be part of the top racing series in Canada, and to have our brand represented at some of the best racing tracks in the country."

The annual West Coast swing will feature a new look: The NASCAR Pinty's Series will visit Wyant Group Raceway in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, for twin features on Wednesday, July 25, and then travel to Alberta's Edmonton International Raceway on Saturday, July 29. The three championship events will mark the halfway point of the 2017 season.

The series' seventh trip to Circuit ICAR, on the grounds of Montreal's Mirabel International Airport, will also feature a new look. The road-course event will be run under the lights on Saturday, July 8. The 13-race schedule includes a return to Ontario's Delaware Speedway, as well.

Other highlights of the 2016 schedule include:

• The season will conclude on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Kawartha Speedway in Fraserville, Ontario. The .375-mile oval has hosted the final race of the NASCAR Pinty's Series in each of the previous 10 seasons.
• One of the most anticipated races each year is the Circuit de Trois-Rivieres, and the series will take to the Quebec street course on Sunday, Aug. 13.
• The penultimate race of the year will take place at Quebec's Autodrome St-Eustace (Sept. 9), and the series will again visit the high-banked action-packed Riverside International Speedway in Nova Scotia (Aug. 19) and feature an early-season showdown at Quebec's Autodrome Chaudiere (June 17).
• In addition to Toronto, which is in its second of a three-year agreement, NASCAR has signed three-year sanction agreements with Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Riverside and Circuit de Trois-Rivieres.

2017 PASS North Super Late Model Schedule Highlighted By Return To Canada

-       Oxford Plains Speedway To Host 5 Events Including The 44th Annual Oxford 250, Paying $25,000 To Win On Sunday, August 27

-       PASS North Season Opener To Be Part Of Prestigious Icebreaker Weekend At Thompson Speedway In April

-       PASS Returns To Quebec On May 21 and New Brunswick On June 3, Oxford 250 Spots Up For Grabs

-       For Immediate Release

NAPLES, ME (December 8) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials announced today the release of the 2017 schedule for the PASS North Super Late Models.  The Northeast's top short trackers will once again compete at some of the best speedways in New England and Canada, highlighted by the 44th Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway.  The season will begin for the second year in a row at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in Connecticut as part of the Icebreaker weekend on April 1-2.   After a year hiatus, PASS will return to Canada in 2017 with events in the provinces of Quebec and New Brunswick.  The PASS North Super Late Models will compete on 10 different speedways in 4 states and 2 Canadian provinces in 2017.

"We believe this is our strongest schedule yet for the PASS North Super Late Models," said PASS President Tom Mayberry.  "This year we will celebrate our 17th year of sanctioning races and we're very glad to be able to return to Canada in 2017.  Our fans to the north are some of the most passionate in all of racing.  The Oxford 250 has found a home with its August date and has solidified its place as one of short track racing's biggest events and we're glad to continue that this coming year."

The 44th Annual Oxford 250 looks to continue as one of the crown jewel events in short track racing with racers from all across North America expected to compete for $25,000 to win, plus guaranteed lap leader money on August 25-27. The 250 will again cap off a full weekend of short track racing action on the famed Oxford Plains Speedway in what many dub Maine's premier sporting event annually.  And for the first time ever, the PASS National Champion will be crowned at the conclusion of the 250.

A final tune-up to the Oxford 250 will take place on Saturday, July 29 at Oxford Plains Speedway.  In addition, Oxford Plains Speedway will once again host the PASS North Super Late Models on Saturday, April 22 and will crown the PASS North titlist with the season finale on Saturday, October 14.

Following a successful debut last year, PASS will again sanction a special Independence Day weekend show at Oxford Plains Speedway on Sunday, July 2.  This event will be a non-points event, featuring PASS "non-winners."  The top three finishers will be given guaranteed starting spots for the 44th Annual Oxford 250.  This year, Wayne Helliwell, Jr. won the PASS "non-winners" race before going on to capture the checkered flag in the Oxford 250.

In 2017, PASS North returns to Canada for two major events.  On Sunday, May 21, PASS makes its way back to Quebec for an event at Autodrome Montmagny.  And for the first time since 2014, the PASS North Super Late Models will be at Speedway 660 in New Brunswick for an Oxford 250 qualifier on Saturday, June 3.  The top three teams from the United States and the top three teams from Canada will each receive guaranteed starting spots for the Oxford 250.

Maine's Beech Ridge Motor Speedway will host the PASS North Super Late Models three times in 2017 on Saturday, April 29Saturday, July 8, and on Sunday, September 17.  The PASS 300 in April will be one of six PASS National Championship events that were announced earlier this month.

Speedway 95 in Hermon, ME returns to the PASS North schedule for a fourth consecutive year with a 150 lap event slated for Sunday, June 18.
