ISMA Super Modifieds are coming from all over the North-eastern U.S to compete at Delaware Speedway this weekend and it's the only time this year you'll be able to see them race on Canadian soil. | London's Mark Sammut is the hometown fan favourite. Sammut is coming off a feature win during ISMA'S last stop at Sandusky, Ohio. He ranks fifth overall in the points standings now, approaching the halfway point in ISMA's 13 race season. Sammut's main competition for a win on familiar territory is a fellow Canuck, Mike Lichty of Innerkip, Ontario who currently leads the points race. Six-time ISMA Super Modified champ Russ Wood of New Hampshire is in second place and last won a feature in mid-July. The schedule for the Delaware Classic Weekend presented by PATCO Transportation features our own Demar Aggregates Trucks and NASCAR Late Models racing before the winged Super Modifieds take to the ½ mile on Friday night. Then on Saturday, Delaware Super Stocks and Powerade Modifieds run their heats and features before the main event – the ISMA Super Modifieds 50-lap feature race.
